Private Information hunt

“This is the correct location.” Rook said calmly as they continued deeper. When they got into a large empty room, she held up a hand for him to stop. She fished in her poncho and pulled out a toxin mask.
“Put this on.” She instructed, tossing it to him,”Its about to get complicated.”

While he put in on, Rook took out her data pad once more. She let a small sadistic smile slide across her face. This was going to be fun.

Bewildered, Gar'n was given a toxin mask by Rook, which he understands one thing, it's about to get a whole lot more complicated. He then put on the toxin mask and adjust it so it doesn't get scratch or punctured by his horns. As he is putting on the mask, he wonders if they're going into some biological lab, or if it really is some plans they're after or if its some something else. The thought keeps lingering on his mind as he finishes putting on the mask, and called out to Rook, "Alright i put on the mask, ready".

He thought to himself "Guess we're going under or something", while trying to remember if he brought any medicine or antidote in case the toxin mask isn't just for show, or if there's even one. One thing for certain on his mind, is that he regret not taking another sip from his flask earlier on. Gar'n then continue to follow Rook lead as he continue to be ponders this things.

Rook nodded as Gar’n said the mask was secure. Oh he definitely deserved the 10,000 credits he was going to get.

Gesturing with her head- she walked over to the corner of the room and pointed to a small vent. Though it was small, they should be able to get in it.

Ugh, stupid small space.

The thought made her skin crawl, it was so tiny. But she ignored it. If they wanted to survive, the tiny small space was the way to go.

After pointing, she walked back into the center of the room and laid down one Heavy explosive. Rook walked back to the vent, remote in hand.

He looks over the small space she pointed at and said "We're not going through that are we?" he ask Rook and continued to say "I sure hope i won't get stuck in there". Gar'n then starts to adjust his equipment so it won't cause him to get stuck while in there, he put his blaster back to his holster on his belt, as he prepares.

He saw Rook laid down some explosive and holding a remote on her hand. More question pop on his mind, where does this vent goes and where exactly they going into, more question than there are answer Gar'n thought to himself. But now isn't the best time to ask nor get distracted, as he need to keep his focus up.

Gar'n stands ready to follow her lead and continue the job.

“We won’t be going through the vent- it is temporary shelter.”

Oh gosh I’d hate it if we had to go through that thing. Stupid...

Rook glances back at the explosive then up around the room- yes. There were camera’s. They were watching them.

“Hurry- get in.”

Gar'n follows Rook into the vent to take cover, "Rather go through it than stay in it" he muttered softly to him self. He squeezes him self into the vent. as it's not exactly his size and worries his horns might cause him to get stuck or even injured. It's quite a tight squeeze for Gar'n & Rook, as the vent isn't exactly meant for their size to crawl into, more suited for Ugnaught or Jawas he thought to himself.

He was thankful he didn't bring a lot of equipment to this job, considering their position right now, as before he was thinking if he should have brought more equipment.

"So, what's our next step?" he asked Rook

Rook grinned when Gar’n asked what was next.
“We light ‘em up.”

Turning her back to the room, Rook hit the switch while covering her ears.
The world rocked and a sound like thunder exploded around them, debris rained down. Their small vent was filled with dust and Rook was glad for the mask.

In a few seconds, the world became silent again. Rook was still grinning madly when she stepped out of the tiny space and looked down into the hole.

"Well that's one way to make an entrance" Gar'n grinned as he steps out of the vent and dust off any dirt that was on him. He saw what was left of the explosion which created a hole for their entry down. Gar'n was relieved and amazed that it didn't do much more damaged to this old building, as he was afraid it might collapsed on them.

After he step out of the vent, Gar'n then take out his blaster from his holster and walk toward the hole Rook just made with her explosion. He took a peek down the hole, from his point of view it seems clear for now, as there's no one is there.

"Right, guess it time to cause trouble" he said with a grinned on his face.

“Indeed it is.” Rook said- a small smile on homer face at him enthusiasm. “Keep your mask on though.”

Without waiting for him to answer, Rook jumped into the hole, coming into a crouching position. Straightening up, her face fell back into seriousness. Now this was the hard part.

There was one large door at the end of the hallway in which she had landed in. Walking up to it, she put a hand on it, listening.

Then she withdrew and plugged her data pad into the socket, Hacking into the system was a breeze and the door slid open.

Rook stepped in and grimaced. It was a bio lab, as expected, but it was a wreck.

"Copy that" he answered Rook with enthusiasm as they're finally going to get a move on and get what they came for. As Gar'n saw Rook jump down the hole, he start to follow her and jump down also. Gar'n now with Rook down below, as he was about to catch up to her, he saw what he thought this place might be, a bio lab.

"Well 10 points for me" as he smiled a bit knowing his guess was right, but also anxious because this is a bio lab and he doesn't know what to expect and what they will find here. Gar'n followed Rook inside the bio lab while looking around in amusement but also staying vigilant with his blaster on his right hand drawn, ready to be in a firefight.

As you would expect any Bio lab, it supposed to be very fancy, but not this one. But even though it doesn't seem much, it is still a Bio lab. hence he has to be careful in here.

Rook sighed as she stepped through the first room of the lab, then the second, and the third. They got to the last one.

No one was around. It was completely abandoned. And that made her worry. The last room was a mess. Viles of spilt acid littered the floor, the walls had blaster marks on them and the room itself smelled strongly of gas.

“It looks like we were beaten to it,” Rook muttered, mostly to herself.
This was bad, very bad. She walked briskly over to a computer terminal that wasn’t destroyed and plugged her data pad in.

Gar'n walks behind her as he thought they're were gonna find someone or something but as it turn out, it's already been cleaned out. Not one spot was left unchecked by whoever came here before us, they were very thorough with it and competent. The people who were here didn't seems to stand a chance against the ones who came before them both, judging from the looks of the place.

He looks over at Rook who seems to be worried since someone beat her to it, as she's going over the terminal with her data pad. Gar'n guess she's going to search any data left and any records of what just happen before they got here. Gar'n just let her do her work, as he goes around the room searching for anything they can use, or even any hints. He put his blaster back into his holster, as it seems he's not gonna need it right now. Other than signs of a firefight, there doesn't seem to be much clue left behind in the room.

"They really cleaned this place out" Gar'n told Rook as he goes over the room, continue to search, hoping he can find anything useful.

He then asked Rook "Found anything, or any lead on who beat us to this place?"

Rook sighed as Gar'n asked whether they had any leads.

"I do... A small organization who was after the same technology."

This sucked. Now that they had the technology, they would rain havoc down. They needed to stop them... But that was probably more than this Medic had bargained for. After downloading the data, Rook unplugged her datapad with another sigh. She pocketed it.

"All the data is gone, which mean we-"

Her datapad beeped, and she glanced down. There were mass-energy readings coming from across the building.

Rook explained to Gar'n all she found out from the terminal she sliced into, about how some technology she was after now taken by an organization that Rook seem to know, hence why she look worried when she said who got it.

Moments later, as Gar'n watched as Rook was done slicing through the terminal to find out everything she needed. He data pad started to beep, which made Gar'n worried, because usually if something starts to beep like that especially in this kind of situation, it means something about to happen. It immediately hit Gar'n as soon as the data pad begin to beep like that, the situations has become more complicated than ever, as they're currently in a bio lab, the first thing that came to his mind was an explosion. Which would make sense for the people who got here beforehand to not only cover their tracks but also eliminate anyone that might be on their tail.

"Is that what i think it means?" he asked in a worried voice, and continued to say "Because if it is, it maybe time to get out of here".

Rook replaced her datapad.

"Yes- yes it is."

She started off at a run- trusting that Gar'n would follow. Now she noticed several acids that were glowing and shaking.

"Hurry! We're running out of time!!!" She called, recognizing the radiation from then was increasing.

Gar'n immediately started to run as Rook confirmed what he suspected, the place was going down and they had little time. He starts running out of the room as he head to where they came from, the hole they made. He continue running towards the hole while looks for a another way out, there were lots of path, but he can't risk checking one by one as time is short.

Arriving on the room where they got in through the hole before, Gar'n look at the hole above him. It wasn't to high, they'll be able to reach if they had something to boost them up, so they can get back up there. Gar'n starts to look around the room to see if theres anything they can use so they can reach the entrance hole, as he needs to find it soon.

He continues to find something he can use to help them get above the hole, he then called out to Rook "You got anything to get up there or perhaps have another way out of here".

"Hopefully it won't smell as bad as dung" Gar'n said as he reluctantly agreed to her idea. Gar'n has experienced a lot with places and stuff that one may consider so awful and beyond what someone should smell, he wasn't fond of the idea of the sewage but he's used doing dirty jobs. He began to follow Rook to another room, where she began to open up a sewage hole. As the sewage hole open, it's as if they're reading a comic page, where you can see the sewage smells just float upwards from down there.

Gar'n stand ready next to the sewage hole readying himself to jump, where he will be jumping first, as he can't let the lady go in first into the sewage. As much as he hated getting himself and his clothes dirty, he had to do it and be a gentleman to volunteer to go down first.

"I'll go down first, least i can do" he said to Rook as he sighed at what will happen after he jumps down and land in the sewage. Before he jumps down, he grab his blaster and stun baton so he can put it in his bag, as those two things are one of the few things he cherished. He quickly put his blaster and stun baton into his bag, and he immediately thought to himself "I really hope my stuff don't get dirty". As he is done packing his stuff into his bag, Gar'n stand in front of the sewage hole and readies him self to jump down. Even though he has a mask on, he still feels like he's smelling the sewage, but it may just be his mind playing tricks on him, still it bothers him. He looks over the sewage hole to check how deep it is, as it turns out it's safe enough for them to jump down as they are in quite a hurry.

"All right, jumping in now" he said as he jumped down into the sewage hole.

Rook cocked her head in slight confusion when he offered to go first- that... didn't usually happen.

"Uh- thanks."

Gar'n nodded then jumped down into the sewage.

Huh.

Rook waited until he was down before joining him. Yup- it stank. Bad. Not the worst job she's ever had to do, but still not pleasant. There was a LOT of build up and they were alllllllllll stepping on it.

"Niiice." She muttered to herself as in squelched.
