Gin watched as the battle droids loaded up the bio-cocoons onto a speeder for transport. His hands were clasped behind his back. All was going according to plan. His mission, was to steal the bio-cocoons, an old technology being improved, a lot like Gin himself, and use it to change everything. Any organics standing in the way of his superiors would be utterly destroyed. Perfect.

A B1 battle droid walked up to him. "Sir! We have reports that our trap has been sprung, and that the bio lab has been destroyed!" The droid told him.

"As I calculated, someone does not want us to use this weapon. Show me the camera feed." Gin ordered. The battle droid handed him a datapad, and Gin looked at it. In the feed, two organics could be seen breaching the bio lab, then escaping when they realize it had been rigged, a human looking woman and a male Zabrak. Fascinating.

"Interesting. Continue loading the weapons onto the speeders. I will deploy probes to search for them. I have calculated all of their escape routes, there is no escape." He said aloud. He tapped a button on the datapad's interface, and 8 probe droids launched from the speeders. They all went out in search of the targets. Three of them went into the sewers to search, as Gin had hypothesized that there was a high likelihood that they went down there.

"I see a droid huh" Gar'n said with a sceptic look, he hasn't seen much droid capable doing any of that, all of the droids he knew are either only mechanic, bartender or battle droid, but never a droid who's a master mind. You can say it's his lack of experience and understanding that lead him to be sceptical of what Rook said about a droid being this strategist, even now he still doesn't believe a droid like IG unit was such a devastating bounty hunter.

"So you know this droid personally or just from records and stuff?" he asked Rook, so he can understand more of this droid she's talking about. Gar'n wanted to know and learn everything about this droid, even though he's sceptical of his capabilities.

Rook.the.slicer Rook.the.slicer TE-236 TE-236

Rook heard Gar’n’s question- but didn’t really want to answer. Hand slightly shaking, she pulled up a file from her past. The Clone Wars. For while she was only in her late twenties- she had been trapped with in crystosis for about 850 Years. Did she know this droid? Yes. She had watched it in many battles and saw many of her Jedi friends die because of him. Her knuckles grew slightly white on the edges of her data pad.
Instead of answering she just looked though his file- banishing the memories as she went. For what use were those memories from 850 years ago?

"Right...." Gar'n said slowly as he question wasn't answered by Rook, he guessed she didn't want to talk about it.

"What now then boss?" He asked her a question regarding what to do now, cause he's wondering if he can go if they're not gonna continue the job right now, as he want to clean up and change clothes.

"I really want to get cleaned up and get a drink if we're standing by until our next move" he said fidgeting as he crave to get some drink and relax in cantinas until then.

"Right on" he excitedly stands up from his chair, and head over to his gears. As he was about to grab his gear, Gar'n stopped and looks over to Rook, "You don't mind if i just leave gear here right?" he said to her. "Because it's to much of a bother to bring everything back and forth from here to the cantinas." he continued to explain to Rook, as he doesn't want to bring to many of his stuff but also it seems better to leave it here since his going back here again after he's done. For now he's only going to bring his blaster and his brass knuckles just in case, as usually he tend to get into trouble in cantinas.

He then head on out to the door so he can go to somewhere he can clean up and then get a few drink in a cantina, as he's been craving for a drink since he was in the bio-lab. He continue to head to the door with excitement as he can't wait to get a drink and possibly win some money from Sabacc games, as Gar'n is quite good and lucky in Sabacc, especially when he's feeling it.

As he was about to step out of of office, he called out to Rook "I'll be back in like 2-3 hours, if we're not in a hurry".

"If you need anything just call me over the comms, and i'll swing back as fast as i could"

He then left the office, and head out to the upper levels to get cleaned up, then off to the cantinas to get a drink.

Rook nodded absentmindedly as he said he's ba back in 2-3 hours. She highly doubted he would be anywhere near sober- so it would be unwise to call his back before them. Never mind, she didn't need him yet.

She set her datapad on the table and pulled out a wire that would connect it to her cybernetics. Plugging them in- both her and her precious datapad were one. Here she could access all information in milliseconds. Yes- the droid was the same one that was at the battle of Christophis. Interesting. She sat down and began pulling up the information. Time to get comfy.

Now Gar'n is in a cantina located in the lower levels of Coruscant, where patrons are mostly smuggler and soldier where his at, as he prefer not be in a place where there's gangster or bounty hunter. He has he reasons to avoid them, especially gangster that is associated with Hutts Cartel as he want to avoid the Hutts as best he can. With a drink on one had and a sabacc card on the other, Gar'n is relaxing and enjoying his time in the cantina, especially since right now his cleaning up the table and earning quite a lot of credits from the soldier he's playing against. That's the best thing about soldiers, if they're in cantinas, it usually means they're on leave and carries a lot of credits. Which makes them easy target to win money from, especially when they always gets drunk and tend to not back down when they're losing money.

Gar'n on the other hand, not only is he good at sabacc but even though he drinks a lot, he has a lot of tolerance on alcohol. Which helps him a lot in cantinas to fool opponent to lower their guard against him. Gar'n can get drunk but he's just used to it and still able to function good enough to still be on his toes, but he can't perform any heavy activities as he may mess up.

"Well boys, guess luck is on my side today" Gar'n chuckled as he continues to win the sabacc games and empties these poor soldier pocket. The soldier on his table responded to him saying "You got to be cheating or something" he said in a drunken voice, as the other soldier on his left said "I can't believe i'm losing so much". There's a lot of mixed emotions and response on the table Gar'n was playing at, and mostly is hostile and anger towards Gar'n.

"I tell you what, since i pity you guys for losing so much, how about i buy you lads a round" he said as he laugh at the fact he's winning so much it's not even fair.

He called the waitress over and asked for her to buy this poor soldier some drinks to drown their sorrow "Hey, can i get a few drinks for these generous gents on my table" he told the waitress.

"So lads, another round of sabacc?" he grinned at the soldiers as he continues to play as it's still a long way until he goes back to Rook at the abandoned office.

Picking up her data pad that was still connected to her mind- Rook swiped a few times, using her hacking skills. After a few more moments of hacking, she got into the security system for their entire quadrant.

Now what’s happening around here,” She murmured to herself. She had completed the search for the droid who called himself ‘Gin’. Now she just wanted to relax- if she enjoyed the intake of alcohol, she would get a drink. But not being fond of such a drink, she decided to check out the surrounding area.

At once- she was part of the system, her eyes now those of the security cameras. Drifting around with a small smile on her face, her new eyes fell on her hired partner. She laughed- he appeared to be making suckers of some soldiers. Winning piles of credits from drunken soldiers.

Then her eyes drifted to a more serious matter- the ruins of the bio lab. There was something there.... Probe droids? Ah Kriff. Someone knew of their handy work and was searching for them.

One of the probe droids flew past the bar, then did a double take and flew back. It saw the male Zabrak it was hunting, in the bar. It scanned his face and identified him. Interesting, he was a medic, and an alcoholic, almost as much as Gin was. His hundreds of years of working as a bartender droid in that village on the planet of Saleucami created a strange obsession with alcohol within him, before he finally managed to break free and escape out into the galaxy, where he received numerous upgrades to both is programming and systems to his physical hardware.

The small probe droid landed on the ground, and scuttled through the door to the bar. It then crawled up the wall and onto the ceiling. It scuttled around towards the Zabrak, looking down at him. Gin watched its feed. He pressed a button on his wrist, and a squad of commando droids ran up to him. "Sir, you called?" The captain asked in its deep monotone.

"Yes, I require you to attack the target at this location." He said, sending the information to the squad.

"Roger, roger." The captain replied. Then, the commando droid squad ran off, jumping over buildings and alleyways towards the bar.

Rook searched for the probes, then came upon another troubling sight. She grit her teeth- Commandoes. Switching from camera to camera, she grimaced as she came upon their destination, the cantina. Without withdrawing herself from the system, she turned on her comlink to Gar'n.

"I hope you're sober enough to fight- cause you're about to have some company."

Back at the Cantina, Gar'n just finished up another win at Sabacc, as he just emptied all these poor soldiers credits and now celebrating with a drink in one of the booth at the top left of the Cantina. He made quite the haul from the sabacc game, as he earned around 15.000 credits and a good looking army knife from one of the soldier, which he gambled on because he ran out of credits. Gar'n had sent most of the credits he won to be transferred to his account, while he kept the rest with him, just in case he needed. Now with the money he'll get from the job he on with Rook, and the ones he won from gambling, he'll be able to resupply his medical equipment and possibly get a droid to help out on his medical duties. He wanted to get a droid, so he can have an assistant when he's tending to patient so it will be much easier to do his job, plus he wanted to have someone to do his bidding.

"Man, these soldiers are really bad at sabacc" he laughed as he relaxed on the booth and drinking some good quality alcohol. "It's like taking scraps from a Jawas i tell ya" he continued laughing as a waitress bring another glass to him at his booth "Here's your drink sir", as the waitress put down his drink.

"Thank you" he said to the waitress "Here's a tip for you, spend it well love" he gave the waitress quite a tip, probably more than what she earn working here. "Thank you so much!" the waitress said to Gar'n, "Guess you won big huh?" she asked him. "That's right, guess i'm quite lucky today" as he answered her with a huge smile on his face, but Gar'n knew it wasn't exactly just luck but more the fact that his opponent were bad at sabacc. Then the waitress was called by another customer for a drink "Well that's my cue, i gotta get back to my job" he told Gar'n "Thanks again for the tip, and i hope you enjoy those credits". He watched as the waitress goes off to another customer, he didn't answered her back but only raised his glass to her in agreement.

"Man, this just might be my lucky day" he said in a loud voice as he took another sip afterwards. But as luck would have it, he got a call from Rook, saying he got company coming, and not the good ones. "Well i guess i spoke to soon" as he finish his drink and unfasten his holster to ready himself. He called over the waitress from before and said to her "You should get out of here love, it's about to get hectic around here". He thought to himself if he should hire some of these guys to protect him but decided not to as he doesn't want to waste credits. Why should i spend credits on hiring them when i can just have them fight for me without paying, he thought to himself as he know his pursuers will most likely come in here and fight him.

He was quite disappointed he didn't get to shoot anyone beforehand at the bio-lab, now it his chance to have the shootout he wanted, as Gar'n loves a good ol' cantina bar fight. "Don't worry" he comms back Rook, "I got this" he told her in a confident manner, typical of a drunk man, but he's used to drunk fight so his confidence is not because of the alcohol.

Rook watched from the security camera’s in the cantina and rolled her eyes as he flirted with the Waiter- and then when he replied confidently that he got this.
People were easier to deal with than Commandoes. Commando droids were ruthless with no organic matter to take advantage of.

Though she had no doubt of his abilities in a fight- even when drunk. She knew that half the people in the cantina didn’t have those same skills- so she didn’t unplug but stood up and started in the direction of the Cantina.
Rook was seeing both with her eyes and the feed- making her hyper aware of the surroundings. This should be interesting.

The commando droids jumped onto the roof of the bar, then jumped down to the entrance. The small probe droid still had eyes on the target. "In position." The captain said to Gin through the encrypted comms.

"Do it." Gin said. The commando droids opened the door, and threw in smoke grenades. As the smoke grenades went off, releasing their concealing screen, the commando droids ran in. jumping and flipping around. They had their thermal view on, so they could see through the smoke. They fired into the bar, shooting all around, firing at the target and various other people in the bar. One of the commando droids flipped onto a table, then started firing. It then jumped flipped off quickly and hidden in the smoke.

One of the commandos rushed forward, holding a vibroblade, moving to stab and slash the target.

Gar'n still drinking in the booth as he relaxed his feet on the table, while he waits for the oncoming droids to come. His gun holster unfasten, hand on the blaster ready to shoot as soon as the droids pops into the Cantina. He also has his brass knuckles on his left fist ready, but he regrets not bringing his stun baton as it would be more efficient to use against droids. He thought to bring his brass knuckles because he always gets into fights in bar or Cantinas, so he always come prepares for a fist fight. He wait patiently in his booth as he continue to take a sip from his drink, and eyeing his surrounding.

A moment later, the droids arrived on the Cantina, they pop in smoke first to cover their entry inside as the go in to attack. They began shooting everyone inside the cantina, as most got hit by the blaster fire. The bar patrons inside was caught surprised by the droid attack, causing some to get hit and either got injured or died. Some of the smuggler and soldier inside the cantina brought their blaster and started to fight back, but since a lot of them are drunk and there was smoke, it was a challenge from them to get a clean shot as they continue to fend of the droids.

"Guess they are here" he said in a sarcastic toneas took a sip from his drink, "Give me a moment" he continues drinking to finish his glass. Then one of the blaster fire hit his glass, shattering it, which Gar'n responded "Aww c'mon i was gonna finish that" he groaned as then he jumped out of the booth and took cover behind a pillar next to the booth. He started to shoot at the droids who were attacking him, his vision is impaired due to the smoke but mostly because of all the drinks he had. But for him it's not much different than fighting in a sandy storm just like in Tatooine, just follow the blaster trail and you'll find them. He kept shooting at the droids, and saw one of the droids who was rushing with a vibroblade charging in. He noticed the droid at shoot it, hitting it, but only knocking him down. "Guess that's why they called them commando droid huh" he said to himself amaze at these droids, then he shoot it one more time to disable it for good.

"I gotta find someway to clear out this smokes" he said as he kept shooting at the droids through the smokes, he readies his brass knuckles on his left hand in case a droid comes near him. "C'mon lads, don't tell me you're bad at shooting too?" he shout sarcastically to the soldiers on the sabacc table who lost to him beforehand. "It ain't easy to shoot with these smoke you know" one of the soldier shouted back at Gar'n, as they tries to fight back the droids.

Gar'n looks around to see if there's any window, and saw there's a couple up front and on the side, as then he starts shot at it to break it so it may lessen the smokes inside the Cantina. Once the window was shot open, it lessen the smoke inside the cantina, but not fast enough.

"Now what?" he ask himself as he tries to make up a plan to get out of here. He keeps shooting at the droids by tracing their shots through the smokes hoping he'll land some shots as he decided to move to a better spot or get out of here. He glances around the room and saw the backdoor to the kitchen, where there's usually a exit door back there. He quickly runs through the room, using the smokes and pillars as cover so he can get to the kitchen. He kept shooting as he ran to the kitchen door, "All right fellas, best of luck to ya", he shouted at the patrons inside as they fight the droids there. He hopes they're beat some of them or at least occupy them long enough so he can get out and get into a better position, as the Cantina has become a deathtrap. He then enters the kitchen after he send his regards to the bar patrons.

By the time Rook made it to the bar- it was a death trap and the security cameras were down. She noticed that Gar'n had left the bar via the kitchen, but she couldn't leave the civilians to be slaughtered.

Rook pulled out her knives, using her cybernetics to track the droids, she entered the fray. She jumped through one of the smashed windows. It was chaos, death everywhere, and droids shooting.

Tracking their movements- she threw three knives that hit the target, bringing them down. She was having much more success than the drunken troopers and the droids started to turn their attention towards her.

"Come at me you *** Droids!!" Rook called out- grinning sadistically. She would enjoy turning these rust buckets to scrap. They obliged with her request and turned towards her, ignoring the other patients. That gave the other non-injured time to either escape, help the injured, or help with the droids.

Several droids lunged at her- vibroblades raised. Rook dodged and weaved, throwing in some shots and stabs in well-chosen places. Having dealt with these droids when they were mass-produced, she knew where to hit them where it hurt. Luckily as well- the smoke was clearing. Other patrons were able to fight better.

Rook continued her fighting until the last one had fallen. Then she stood, staring around the room. Dead and injured littered the floor- it made her sad. So many lives ruthlessly taken. And because of them- but they were going to stop more deaths by destroying the bio-weapon plans.

The sound of sirens met her ears- the Police were coming. Time to leave. Rook turned and went int the kitchen, planning to exit the same was Gar'n had.

At the moment Gar'n was outside the Cantina after exiting through the kitchen, now at the side of the kitchen backdoor that lead outside pointing a blaster waiting to ambush the next droid that comes out through that door. He waits for the droids comes out through that door finger on the trigger, as he knows someone will follow him outside. The door opens up, as someone goes through the door, Gar'n was about to pull the trigger but fortunately he realizes who it is before he squeezes the trigger, it was Rook who came out of the Cantina backdoor.

"Aww you came, you shouldn't have" he snickered at her, as he didn't thought she was gonna come and help him out. He lowered his gun and point it away from her, but still holds it as he doesn't know if there's still any droids left in the area. He backs away from the door and Rook, as he takes a moment to breathe after what just happened inside the Cantina. He was quite surprised at what just happened, as he didn't realized and underestimated his opponents capabilities. Him being drunk beyond reason also didn't help him in this situation especially during a firefight with smokes around him.

"You didn't have to come, i totally had that under control" Gar'n tried to bluff her, as the alcohol affects him more, and makes him talks nonsense. "So, is it all clear or is there still some droids left inside?" he ask Rook, as he wants to confirm the situation. "If it is, kinda want to get another drink i'm not gonna lie to ya" He laughs as he doesn't fully comprehend the danger they're in due to him having to many drinks.

"Oh right, i wonder if that waitress got out safely?" he said mostly to himself, "Would be a shame if she didn't get to spend the tip i gave her, cause that was quite the tip i tell ya" he grinned.

Rook.the.slicer Rook.the.slicer

Rook listened to his incessant blabbering coldly. Honestly- this was the last time she hired someone without looking into their background.
“Shut it,” She snapped. Rook would have to go over this with him when he’s Sober. “The police are almost here- and that isn’t good for anyone. So move your freakin bantha behind.”
Rook was VERY tempted to punch the Zabrak in front of her- but she did still need him. Though she really wanted to ditch him after this. He was still possibly needed.

But there would be a talk involved.

"Sir yes, sir" Gar'n gave her a cheeky salute, as followed her away for the Cantina. "Are we heading back to the office?" he asked her, "Cause they might know about that place, considering they found me at the Cantina" he laughed as he continued running besides her.

"Can't believe those commando droid are that tough" he smiled, "Took me a few good solid hit on them to bring them down" he continued. "Can't imagine how Clones had to fought dozens of them". Gar'n mostly only fought against gangster on Nar Shaddaa and Tusken Raiders or drunken smuggler back in Tatooine, as he hasn't fought much with military caliber beforehand. He's quite baffled and amaze after his fight with the droids at the Cantina, as he become interested on getting one, which not only can help in firefight but also with his medical duties. "I should get one of those someday" he grinned at the possibility with having a droid at his side, he can worry less with having a droid, especially after drinking. Gar'n at this moment is still quite drunk, which makes him very chatty and everything that crosses his mind comes out of mouth. "I met a B1 Series Battle Droid Before, he was quite good with a blaster and weirdly with cooking too" as he chuckled "But those Commando Droid takes the cakes i tell ya"

He put his hand on his flask which he puts on his belt on the right side, he then take it off the belt and open it up to see if there's any left. He saw there was nothing there, even as to try to shake it to make sure to no avail. He then returned his flask to his belt, as he shakes his head, damn i forgot to refill my flask at the Cantina he thought to him self.

He then looks over to Rook as he realized something "Ahhh Right, i got place where we can lay low if we need a place", he continued "I got an acquaintance who's a mechanic here at the lower levels, he might let us crash there for a bit until we got a plan" he told Rook. "Plus i wanted to take a look at the Speeder he's working on for racing"

Rook tried not to flinch as he saluted her- sometimes some triggers from the war threw her off her game. But now she couldn't afford that- so she wiped her mind and kept her mouth clamped shut.

Apparently, when Gar'n got drunk, he became extra chatty- spewing out anything that came to mind.

"They do know of the offices," She rightly confermed. Then he went on to talk about how tough the commandoes were and how he wondered how the Clone troopers did it.

This time she had to turn away as a pained look crossed her face- Kriff she knew how, by dying by the hundreds. It took her longer to gain her composure this time.

She didn't really hear him when he said that he knew a place where they could stay she just nodded mutely- Face completely blank.
