[Interest Check] Galactic Games - Inter-Faction Sports Competition

It's like the Olympics... IN SPACE!

We were kicking around having a faction sporting event type situation, and [member="Ludolf Vaas"] suggested that we open it to the galaxy at large, allowing people to represent their factions in games, sports, and competitions. There are a wide variety of competitive events that could be offered, depending on interest, ranging from one-on-one gladiatorial combat (FU & NFU), podracing, horseracing, competitive shooting, Huttball, to poetry readings, drama, oratory, etc. We haven't fleshed out all the events because it will depend on interest, but it's really just meant to be a good time, to give us all something to enjoy while the Olympics are going on, and also to give everyone a chance to meet new people in the First Order's beautiful new capital city Avalonia. Obviously, we are NOT interested in any kind of combat outside of the arena. This would be a peaceful thread with friendly (yet intense) competitions between members.

Would you be interested in attending? What kind of sport or event would you participate in if you were to attend?

Also, looking forward to Riefenstahl 2.0.

[member="Aneya Maev"] would be the closest thing to a Riefenstahl 2.0...
Please do not ever compare my characters to Nazi propagandists again. Aneya does not release propaganda, nor is she friends with a dictator, so please stop trying to make my character into Riefenstahl. I can voice my character's allegiences myself, I don't need any help with that, thank you.

That is true, especially if they know Force Strenght/Speed , but how would one check?
I mean even if they do have a high metachlorian count it doesn't mean that they're Force Sensitive or that they know how to use the Force

Come one, come all, to the first ever Galactic Games hosted by the First Order!

And as always, beautiful image work [member="Natasi Fortan"].

Our goal is to get as many people from as many factions as possible involved in this. We want it to be a board-wide event, possibly the biggest of the year. We want to make it something that every character on the board can participate in. As such, comments and suggestions are very welcome, so please use this thread to suggest possible events that can garner a lot of participants.

To answer some preliminary questions, we are thinking of having separate categories for FUs and NFUs in combat-oriented competitions.

For anyone who read through the Anoat hex dominion, you would realize that many of my posts in it pertain to how the First Order operates sports schools to train athletes (one of the NPCs I used in it described how the First Order ran the show from the perspective of figure skating). It's quite similar to the real-world Chinese or Russian systems...

That said, events in whom First Order players seem to be interested in are horse racing, competitive shooting, fencing and podracing.

I've a feeling that cyborgs and FUs could abus the games, so maybe two seperate magnitudes, NFU and unaugmented then augmented and FU? or is this kinda dumb of me >-<'
Not at all. It's like the Paralympic and Olympic Games.

blood scanners and alchemized crystals can detect force users, and if someone knows mechu-deru they can create an exceptional scanner that even tells the alignment of the scanned target

EDIT: thank you [member="Titan Kryze"]
