Dark times are upon us! Foul legions of ravenous, evil monstrosities will descend upon our holy land to murder, pillage and slaughter! We must enact exterminatus and eradicate them.


Dramatics aside, [member="Valiens Nantaris"] and I have been talking and we felt the Space Orcs should invade. For those who are new, the Kraal have been an NPC foe for Firemane/Tygara, but on a very small scale. Species and planet subs are in the works.


They're a bit inspired by 40k's Space Orcs, but also with some Mandalorian and Mongol influences. In other words, more tactical and technologically developed than mindless, death charging brutes, since it's no fun if a foe is easily defeated. Based on their backstory, the Kraal raided Tygara in the past, before Firemane and the Eldorai arrived.


Archangel, a group of genocidal HRDs who want to wipe out organic life, may also be involved in the attack since they've been in a cold war with Firemane.

This will also be dev for Tygara's defence fortress, which will be located near New Santaissa. Should also be useful dev if anyone wants to use the thread for toys or Codex unit subs.

My present character lineup:


Siobhan: Leading Firemane forces in the field. I have 'fun' things planned for her. * evil cackle *


Kaida: Leading an Angelii contingent. If you thought Kaida was a mean queen, well, she's gonna be even meaner now.


Elpsis: Probably fighting alongside Firemane/Fire Order. Maybe she won't get maimed this time, since for some reason [member="Valiens Nantaris"] doesn't like that.


Tarissa: Probably a more minor role. May put her in space, or as a general officer on the ground. Predict speechifying.


Guest star:

Enyo Typhos: She'll...have a small, but very important role. More later! Suffice to say she and Sio'll meet.


Primary battleground will be New Santaissa and the Citadel we'll be devving in the thread. It won't be a victorious romp where we curbstomp the bad guys without difficulty.


Ideally, we'll have the subs for the Kraal species and their homeworld up soon, so we all know what we're dealing with.

I'll pitch Drys in, naturally. If the wood elves featured in this then I can see him running off to gather reinforcements, or else just being a part of the defense in general. I'm totally happy with either.

Since the Vashyada live in a rather remote area and are quite isolationist, I'd say they wouldn't be able to muster and deploy reinforcements in time to reach the battlefield.


However, a couple Vashyada auxiliaries could be on the spot, since one imagines some Wood Elves got curious about the outside world after Firemane made peaceful contact with them and decided to leave their forests. Could lead to the creation of the Rangers group you mentioned to me in chat.
