Standing atop a building quite a distance away from the Valley of Lords, Darth Junra observed the battle unfolding. A shuttle remained parked behind her - having used it to travel from Alderaan to Coruscant at a fast pace as soon as she heard that the planet was under attack. Slipping to the planet’s atmosphere was certainly easy, yet the gaps in the fleet battle that allowed her to do placed her far from the scene of a large battle.

Still, Darth Junra managed to reach this very rooftop. She was accompanied by a Sith commander - a male Chagrian with a stern look. The commlinks both Daella and the Sith commander had were buzzing with reports that the Sith had significantly lost their combat effectiveness. While their troops could hardly tell the difference, the influence Force-sensitive Sith had on the field had significantly diminished.

M’Lady, what do you think could be the cause?” asked the commander.

I can’t say for certain, Lowyrk,” replied Daella, “Few things could make ones sense of the Force disappear like this.

As Daella observed the battle continue to play out from her perch, a thought came to mind.

There must be a source, though,” claimed Darth Junra, “Give me a map.

[ Impervious flo--] Cira’s jaw would tighten painfully as that anger would flare, fanned by each punctuated lash he threw at her.

[ You do it for Ayden! ] came her infuriated voice, [ Don’t give me that pile of mynock garbage that you are doing anything except for him! ] Her right hand would rise, gesturing to him in pointed emphasis. [ Even if it means going back on ice! ]

Oh she was trying hard, trying desperately hard to get control of this situation. But he was nailing it right on the head.

[ Really? You want to talk about this now?! You want to talk about walls?! I’m the star-forsaking bloody Lady Protector! I have a responsibility! I have a duty to each and every sapient under my watch! ]

You don’t know me.

[ Stop being delusional and get it through your thick skull! You think you know me Sarge, but you don’t! ]

One boot would take a step closer, her body primed for a fight. Only this time, it would be focused entirely upon the former Sergeant Major himself.

[ Who the hell do you think you are? You quit! You are no longer my body guard and you damn well have other priorities than being entertained by seeing just how much the Lady Protector can take before she cracks! ]

Stars did he just infuriate her!

[ Questioning daily my every motive and move that I undertake to ensure I stay what the Protectorate needs!

What the hell do you think we are for you to even question that?! ]

This time it spoke.

Of course, this gave your average Force user about five and a half years to react, if Hal Terrano was Spiderman he would have even had time for a hilarious quip before it pulled the trigger, possibly a game of chess. Like a sack of potatoes Hal Terrano dropped to the ground, grunting in pain as his hip squealed and he lay there flat on his belly as the upward facing scattergun did nothing.

After that however, his opponent vanished. Thankfully the Knight was not one to so openly feel, otherwise the sting of rejection might have been too much. What a rude person you are. Mandalorians, constantly on a quest to outdo themselves in the ranks of being thoughtless glory hunters.

Suddenly, while still belly down on the floor Terrano was increasingly aware of a chill creeping through his entire being. This isn't the right time to be coming down with a case of the blues, mister. You get back onto your feet this instant.

Slowly he struggled back onto his feet the sudden rush of coldness aggravating his wounded hip. This was the work of the Force, but who? Where?

The cold spread. Harsher, almost biting now. Was he truly going to get taken out by a force he couldn't even see? No, no, you need a good old fashioned dose of willpower. Maybe an electric blanket. Thoughts of warmth. He pictured himself upon Mustafar, standing by a bank of bubbling lava. He could picture the way that the heat would have warped the air around him, the sulphuric stench invading his nostrils.

Suddenly it became a battle of will.

“Come out!” Hal bellowed, already frosty blue eyes scanning the surrounding area, “Stop hiding!” He span, doing a hundred and eighty degree turn on the spot, still desperately searching. The Sith wouldn't be content to sit back and let warm thoughts battle icy veins. “Face me!”

Salvor kept running watching as the figure avoided blaster bolt and bullet alike, when suddenly he took off like he was fired from a cannon aided by the force. Salvor was still severed from the force so catching up now would be even more difficult, he followed until he to crossed the force null bubble. The pain was incredible, Salvor let out an audible yell and stumbled to his knee, His whole body felt on fire. His yell turned to a relived laugh once he realized he was again connected to the force, he got up from his knee and once again began pursuit this time aided by the force, he had some ground to make up but it would only be a matter of time.

"Glad?" Mia shook her head a bitter laugh falling from her lips "Yes I'm fething ecstatic. I'm so pleased to discover that my brother has become that which I hate. So happy to see he has chosen the path of those that would see me broken. Of those that have killed countless people on the count of what? Peace?! Frak your peace. It. Is. A. Lie." She raised the beskad to point it at Meirin, a madness glittering in her eyes.

"That's what your sweet little mantra says. Peace is lie. I'll tell you how this works, my dear brother will lead you across the galaxy and you will enslave us all. Soon enough you'll run out of people to fight. Peace is a lie, so you can't just sit back and relax, lest you become stagnant, how will you break your chains then? So you fight among yourselves and you will crumble. When you are at your weakest is when the rest of the galaxy strikes back, and the cycle begins again." She was pacing before Mierin now, like a caged animal, roaring out her frustrations.

"You know what? I'm sick of the cycle. Get out of my way so I can save you the bother of a future in which your demise is already written."

TEMPLE IN THE VALLEY OF LORDS

[member="Sven Talith"] | [member="Ember Rekali"]

Darth Janus frowned as Ember spoke of destroying Sith holocrons en masse. Of course he destroyed history with casual indifference. He was a Mandalorian, a people whose culture revolved solely around being mindless beasts of war. They were a people who had yet to fully embrace the concept of hygiene, so it should come as no surprise that they would callously flush away essential chapters of galactic history all in pursuit of... Well, nothing. Such was the way of the Mandalorian. Purposeless in everything until someone put a collar on them.

His frown only deepend, turning into an enraged scowl, when the Mandalorian demanded to be brought to the Dark Lord in return for the holocron being returned safely. Just as Janus moved to respond, he felt a sudden shift in the atmosphere. It was unnoticeable to the agent standing nearby, as he had never been attuned to the Force in the first place. To Tyrin, it felt as though someone had shut off a sixth sense. Everything suddenly seemed empty, like when the background noise of an air conditioning unit or generator abruptly shut off, leaving a full and eerie silence.

The Force was gone.

Typical.

"Fine. I'll take you anywhere you want, to whomever you want, for whatever reason." Tyrin said, opting not to dwell on the Force being absent. "On this you have my word. But I beseech you, give me the holocron now."

“Child, I'm afraid you have it all wrong.” Counter to Mia's passion driven tones, Mierin sounded calm and relaxed, a mother speaking to a child that couldn't see something right before its eyes.

“He has already broken our chains. He has already lead us to a new path, and it is he who will guide us further upon it.” She smiled at Mia. “We don't bring death, we don't destroy or ravage the worlds who come into our fold. Look at Prakith, look at Csilla, look at Coruscant. Do the people cower in fear? Do they flow into waiting prisons or camps of death? No. They flourish, they build, they survive, they thrive! By his hand we shall guide the galaxy to an age of peace.”

“There will be no infighting. There will be no dissension. We will bring this galaxy to heel, and we will quiet the chaos that is sowed. Accept this. Accept that his coming brings the dawn of a new age. You arguments, your objections, your denials, they are unfounded. You deny yourself peace, you deny yourself happiness, and why? Because of a title, because of a simple few words that he claims in order to rally others. He is your family, and you will not trust him?” She spoke her words and as she did the force flowed from her, she tried to entrance Mia

She was a master of this. Mierin didn't invade Mia's mind, no, that was not her way. Instead she tried to entrance her, lull her brain into being more accepting, using the force to augment her words, her arguments.

Twas a wonderful feeling the air flying through your locks while you speed down the Valley of Lords was it? Yes yes, the Valley of Lords – of what Lords I couldn’t tell you. Anyways, back to the tale of my speeding down the metaphorical speedway on a speeder. I had been pulled from my cave of wonders, which I totally was okay with – I mean there was so much you could do on Dathomir in a clan with all males...mind you most of it was done with me, myself and Irene (that's what I call my left hand). Battle was afoot and I desired it so.

So yeah, high way to the danger zone I go. A figure dodged fights, blasters, and the like. He had to be an electrically footed fellow which of course caught my fancy. My Protectorate issued blasters along with another fun toy on my back were armed and ready for me to summon them. The force was dead to me, it was just a belief that these silly sith and jedi liked to play with. I believed in the blaster, the bomb, and the fist – oh and the warmth of a woman's bossom...

And I sure love a woman's bossom or few. Feth I need to get laid.

I caught up, well I was close enough to throw a few grenades at him. Nothing fancy just two in quick succession to hopefully distract him from his goal – if not I'll continue to chase.

Objective: Fail at being Ms. Freeze, shoot things

Battle of wills was probably an accurate way to describe. Just as one did not walk into Mordor, one did not flash freeze a forcer. Well, presumably it worked in places like Hoth, whereas it would be absolutely ineffectual to attempt on say Mustafar. Kaida felt the Sith resisting the cold onslaught she was subjecting him to as she tried to will his blood to freeze so that his limbs might be weaken and he be paralysed. Just as he imagined standing upon Mustafar at the bubbling lava she imagined being upon Hoth at the heart of an icestorm, a powerful tempest tearing through the land, coldness. She imagined an ice age and sought to focus it all upon him, pouring all her will into the motion.

Concentration was etched over her features, to the uninitiated she was showing clear signs of frostbite and cold steam escaped her bluish lips, for a moment robbing her of vision as her visor was obscured but she pressed on, drawing upon her Sciia as she poured energy into the act. Gloved fingers, covered in ice that she had unconsciously been manifesting, turning into a fist. The overwehlmning cold would banish the heat he was visualising, fire would be dissipated as the cold storming tide swept through.

Then suddenly she was overtaken by a wave of pain that shot through the very fibre of her being. She let out a pained cry as her boltgun dropped to the ground. It felt like she had been robbed of one of her senses or a limb had been ripped off. The Force was gone. The entire valley had been turned into a dead zone for it, making access to it impossible for anyone in the bubble. Presumably Kaida would not know about the Bral the Mandalorians had brought.

On the plus side it meant her opponent would also not be able to use it, but she had been so close to freezing him! Well, she thought so at least. Whether it was true was another question. "Ashira hates me," she muttered irritably to herself, letting loose a curce in Eldarai as she grabbed her boltgun. Fortunately, though a good deal weaker without her powers, she was quite capable of fighting without them.

HK had meanwhile arrived on the roof and said some things she had not been able to pay much attention to, though she got the part about the building being compromised. "Yes, and the Force got sucked out." She took a breath and then grabbed her MK1 boltgun, loaded with 30mm x 45 mm explosive bolts. With a range of 500 m for a specific aimed shot, 1000 for suppression and bombardment. The explosive bolts had a 2 m casualty radius, 6 m would still cause injury from the blast and shrapnel. At the range they were at a specific shot would not be possible, but it should suffice for bombardment purposes.

Through the barrel of her gun she took aim at the Sith, as much as she could see him from this distance, and squeezed the trigger, blasting out bolts.

Captain Anthony Norduin wasn't present in space above the planet, no, he was at Tantorus or Alderaan, whichever it was, he wasn't in danger, nor was Malphas's taskforce.

In the battle below, he assumed that his Apprentices [member="Mala Kulan"] and [member="Metus De'cal"] were fighting, but he wasn't going to look for them. They hadn't been on Alderaan as far as he knew, but if they were on Coruscant and survived, then that would be enough. Unfortunately, he doubted that he'd witness whatever they did first hand.

So he continued to watch, viewing the battle below and wondering where to go.

"A duty you karking abandoned without a word. All you had to do was say 'I'm going on a trip for a little to unwind' and no one would have questioned it. Leading a government isn't easy work. You need time for yourself. But that doesn't give you the right to be selfish about it." He was still fuming, but his voice was calm.

His rage, not unlike the rainstorm of southern Corellia, came hard and fast but passed within the blink of an eye, to be replaced by a serene calm at clear odds with the violence that had come before. A measure in contradictions, he was, just like her.

How alike they were. "Ayden asks, Cira. He asks. And I know that in the process of completing those requests, I've helped you. And I've helped the Protectorate; something you care about above everything else despite your missteps.

I've told you every time we've had this fight that I don't know you, but I want to. And yet you insist on thinking I know you. All I've got is conjecture and intuition, but that's all I ever have. But I could probably go out on a limb and say I'm mostly correct when I talk to you, since you keep denying my claims despite my protestations to the contrary."

He let his weapon catch on its sling as put his arms out to his side like 'what do you want me to say' before dropping them down to rest atop his rifle, head turning as his shoulders rose with a deep breath. "What are we?" He asks.

"I don't karking know what we are. I know you better than anyone else in this galaxy from what I can tell, but that doesn't mean anything apparently. You've let out more pent up emotion around me then I thought possible, and considering how rarely you ever let that out - at least at Cira - there's something going on you don't want to acknowledge.

There's no one I'd rather talk to but you, and considering you hunted down a home not even registered to me to talk I'd say you feel the same. But we can't acknowledge that. We fight, we yell. We'll talk about that. But we won't talk about the times we've kissed. That's just going too far.

I don't know what we are, Cira. Frankly we're probably in the most karked up relationship I've ever been in, built around denial and fear and an inability to acknowledge what we are. But that's just conjecture.

So, no, again, I don't know what we are."

Her fighters came into the the valley, their was shot and shell came at them form all directions. They fired back, but pulled up to their was air defense down their. Some thing they did not recon on, they reported back to their boss Darth Banshee. My lord, they have lot flack cannons down their, it really bad we manged to get some shot`s off. Though we failed to find any thing. He sound stressed, he was not sure what he was looking for, he took a fair few losses trying to find it.

She pondered for a moment, Their is some thing their, and it need`s to be put to bed. Know commander if I remember correctly, the blade fighters have disruptor torpedoes. I want you to carpet the whole area, where the mandalorians and those aa batteries are. Her voice was unflinching. She did care about the pilots, but she cared for the sith more.

My lord that would work, but we could be massacred trying it. They have serious aa guns down their, and most of as test pilots, not combat pilots. He sounded scared, he never thought he in battle. He thought wrong however.

I gave you your orders, carpet the mandalorians positions in torpedoes KNOW. She put extra emphasis on the word know, she new they had to get what ever it was down. She could the pilot`s and the ships, but she could not replace her brothers and sisters.

Roger He could bring himself to say roger roger, he new had to do this. So he muttered a silent poem to himself, as him and fellow blade pilots dived into valley.

Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.
"Forward, the Light Brigade!
"Charge for the guns!" he said:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.

"Forward, the Light Brigade!"
Was there a man dismay'd?
Not tho' the soldier knew
Someone had blunder'd:
Theirs not to make reply,
Theirs not to reason why,
Theirs but to do and die:
Into the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.

Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon in front of them
Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
Boldly they rode and well,
Into the jaws of Death,
Into the mouth of Hell
Rode the six hundred.

Flash'd all their sabres bare,
Flash'd as they turn'd in air,
Sabring the gunners there,
Charging an army, while
All the world wonder'd:
Plunged in the battery-smoke
Right thro' the line they broke;
Cossack and Russian
Reel'd from the sabre stroke
Shatter'd and sunder'd.
Then they rode back, but not
Not the six hundred.

Cannon to right of them,
Cannon to left of them,
Cannon behind them
Volley'd and thunder'd;
Storm'd at with shot and shell,
While horse and hero fell,
They that had fought so well
Came thro' the jaws of Death
Back from the mouth of Hell,
All that was left of them,
Left of six hundred.

When can their glory fade?
O the wild charge they made!
All the world wondered.
Honour the charge they made,
Honour the Light Brigade,
Noble six hundred.

There was a lump in Mia's throat and she swallowed hard against it. "You're right, that title and those words are the very reason I deny happiness. But that is not out of choice, that is because those he calls to him, have ripped from the ability to be happier, to accept peace. I would love nothing more than to go home, to live a life of peace, love and happiness. But I can't, because you bastards took that from me."

She was angry, confused and wishing very much that she would stop talking and act. Something was stopping her, something weighing down on her like a poison. "He knows that. He knows that peace is not an option. Yet instead of coming to face me like a brother should, he hides behind you. This is the last time i'm going to ask you to move."

The Iron Lord Protector (Neutral Good)
Location: Buildings and Cover surrounding Valley of the Lords,
Allies: [member="Kaida Taldir"]
Enemies: [member="Darth Banshee"]
Objective: Bombardment Support

The droid was about to quip to Kaida to stop playing with her prey and just finish the poor Hal off, but it was then that she said something the droid did not realized occurred,
"Yes, and the Force got sucked out."
Whatever comments he had before were wiped from his programming as he turned to the other edge of the roof they were both on, tossing his railgun-scattergun onto the floor as he took in his hands the MD-1 Mass Driver, still primed and ready to be fired at Tef, something unfortunately the droid did not had a chance to do.

But there was new target, the cloaked Sith he has noticed before, the target he promised himself for later. Adjusting his photoreceptors and sensors as he looked through the scope of the Mass Driver it would not take long before he found the hidden Sith, the so called Darth Banshee, although that was unaware to the droid.

It seemed she did not went too far, although she was no longer cloaked, she was behind cover instead, too busy sending commands and ordering her troops to change her position it seemed, neither was she aware of the droid's position in the vantage point or the moment that his mass driver locked onto her heat signature, finishing his aiming sequence.

It was then that the droid pulled the trigger and there was a flash, not at the muzzle of the Mass Driver but at its target, the rocks and cover Banshee was hiding behind, it was no more as it almost seemed instantaneous that the mass driver's projectile, an explosive bolt usually used in the Bolt Gun, much bigger than the pellets used in shatterguns, hit its mark.

As for Banshee, if she somehow evaded it without the Force then it was a miracle, otherwise,

The Bolt would go through what the Gados called "Hyper-Velocity Sharpnel Effect" what it means, usually the Bolt Gun bolts had area of effect explosion with their shock-wave and shrapnel, at the ridiculous speed at which the bolt was fired from MD-1 this all changed into a conical effect, which meant all the shock-wave, the super-heated shrapnel, the fire and vaporizing heat from the explosion, and fragments of the cover Banshee was using, that was all thrown right in her direction, she would get the worst of it.

So, if this hit, her body would be broken from the shock-wave, bruised, cut, and peppered with the hot shrapnel, clothing would burn in instant and catch on fire, and she would be thrown back from the explosion itself. This weapon was used to punch clean through tanks and bombard whole battalions of infantry during large-scale battles, the things it would do to a single target, even behind cover were unspeakable.

And then there was the thunderous roar of the Mass Driver that came after the projectile and flash, it would be like a cannon firing, as it did not had as strong sound dampeners as other models of shatterguns made by Abregado, just enough to keep the weapon from destroying itself. It would probably scare Kaida if not stun her temporarily, the droid in his quick movements forgot to warn her, and if there were any doubts that there were indeed enemies in the building HK and Kaida occupied at the moment, well they were lifted and their position revealed with one shot of the weapon.

One thing from this would benefit Banshee for sure, she would not have to worry about the Monroe Vail anymore, for if this would hit true, she would be thrown back far from its range and her power in the Force restored.

As for her starfighters and carpet bombing run (And I got [member="Ayden Cater"]'s clearance on posting the Omega air forces on this one) the droids on the ground would do their thing, firing away their rotary cannons to knock off as much of Sith planes as they could, meanwhile finally the Omega Air Forces were called in,

Ayden Cater said:
While the warships kept the Sith forces occupied in space, thousands of dropships descended. They were flanked with an equally great number of starfighters and bombers. One third of them broke off and headed for the ruins of the Jedi Temple. Another third broke off and headed for the old Senate building and Senate District. The remainder headed for the Palace District. Other groups of dropships headed to different locations, but these target sites were designated secondary.
The Starfighters wings sent to escort the dropships poured in into the skies above the Valley, intercepting the Sith bombarding envoys and locking with them in dogfights, conducting Banshee's plan was as much a long shot as it was a suicide run, and while some torpedoes would get through, much more of them would be shot down before the payload would be delivered.

HK's Mass Driver powered down as the battle raged all around them, on the ground and in the skies, while another bolt was loaded into the gun it would take a moment for the weapon to charge up again for another shot, in mean time the droid slung the cannon back on his back and grubbed his Volley Gun.

“Taken? No. Not Taken. We have given you an opportunity. Your brother has a vision, he wants peace, he wants that peace for you.” Her eyes were alight, and her words were intrinsically infused with the force. They danced and reverberated within the air, changing and shifting, slowly twisting Mia's mind to what Mierin wanted.

“This is an opportunity young one, a chance to grant that peace you so wish for not only to yourself, but everyone.” Her eyes lit up slightly and she drew upon more of the force, tying her words to it intrinsically. “Why stand against him? Why fight him? He is your family, your brother. You want the same things, you each desire, and here you have the opportunity to achieve it. Stand with him, stand with your family.”

Her words were a song, sung by a siren.

Though at least know they could see their enemy, it would not belong before the true sith fleet could get here help, she thought to her self.

Then it happened a shot, form the sniper she was trying track earlier. Rang out across the battle field, it hit square in the chest. She was flung across the room, with the sheer momentum of the strike. It had failed to penetrate her armour, she lent against the wall. Some thing was not right though, she coughed and blood came out her mouth. She was bleeding internally, she need help, she need the force.

"We all have our reasons for what we do Mi'ika."

The recollection came out of nowhere, dragged up by her own subconsciousness as she recalled the discussion with him by the fire. The night she'd asked him to safeguard her secrets. She'd told him then why she'd left, what she was carrying in her head. He was the one to scrap what remained of her off the floor of Nemene's cell. Everything that weighed on her heart that plagued her mind was the work of a handful of sith.

The galaxy didn't want to be brought to heel, she didn't want to be brought to heel. Everything she had believed in, everything he had ever said to her was a lie and the only person that was going to abolish that thought was Ordo himself. But he wasn't here. He was hiding behind a snake, a snake that was trying to warp her mind. Her rage rekindled, gathering in her heart, in her lungs.

"No."

A beat, a breath.

"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUM!"

The force bellow set to shred everything in its path.

Ordo rose from his throne. He had expected this. He had known they would have difficulty excepting the possibility of peace. How long had he himself watched everything he had ever had and loved ripped away by war. His family, friends, everything over the years ground to dust in the gears of the war machine of the galaxy. For so long he had given up hope and sank deeper into darkness. However, in the deepest darkness he found a light, a light that had guided his mind to the truth of the galaxy. Under subjection people flourish. With too much freedom they become idle, restless and begin to let their minds drift toward negativity, complaints arise, anger flares, but when under proper controlled subjection, their minds and bodies are busy with task, with their needs met and their minds engaged they have to reason for anger for war.

He reached fro Mia and poured calm into the force as he sat. He would fight her if she wished but he would rather she see the truth.

.::Mia....listen to me, end the conflict. These are not the Sith you knew, these people act as One, the strive for a common goal, the are driven, determined, successful...happy;;. he paused recalling their time together as brother and sister. The times they sat by wishing the galaxy would stop ripping away their brother and sisters. How often had they dove to the bottom of bottles to numb the pain and cool their burning hearts. .::You can be happy Mia. We don't have to forever watch our loved ones die and suffer. Look how the Sith have been changed. If a den of vipers can work together in peace think what we could do for the whole galaxy. Mia...Sister, when have I ever not stood by you? When have I ever shirked duty or said no to a vod? Do you think that has changed? No, it has not. I have loved you like a sister these many years. Won't you stand by me as well?::.

Ordo stood as the force bellow echoed forth knowing soon she would be on her way. He wanted her to come, he wanted her to see, he wanted his sister and Father to see his vision and know he had done it all for his family. He had untied a group that for thousands of years knew only infighting and treachery but now knew unity and purpose. Could they not imagine a galaxy united as One?

"Ey. Darth Fabulous. Dial down the petulance before I find myself compelled to bust out the Nair." Force, no Force, didn't much matter -- Ember had fought on Myrkr, trained with and expected the Bral that had just dropped. His fingers remained locked around the base of the Krayt Holocron. "Though for you I'd probably need something industrial-grade. That's serious volume."

He smiled faintly; it didn't reach his eyes.

"And when this is all over, remind me to teach you the concept of the bargaining chip. But in the meantime, feel free to come along."

By strength, by foot, by One Sith transport, and by whatever other means, waving the holocron like a passport, Ember made his escorted way to the Palace. As he passed the edge of the Bral's ysalamir field, he felt a sudden awareness and awakening as the Force returned to him. It was most pleasant.

INBOUND, @Ordo.
