Private Into the Rabbit's Hole

Apparently Angonous said the wrong thing judging by the look of Rowena. "I meant to say that it's best to stick your strengths," he said. "But if you want to learn how to fire a blaster in the future I can teach you." As soon Rowena said that they needed a light, the Sith Lord immediately activated his Lightsaber illuminating the way ahead. "Say no more," he smirked.

"My strengths aren't really a match for those...Rakghouls." For what might be the first time, Rowena doubted herself. She didn't like that feeling, much like how she didn't like fear. So she let herself feel it for a count of ten, before shelving it away, buring it deep inside as she always did.

At least there was light. Darth Angonous Darth Angonous ' lightsaber ignited the hall for them. Rowena held his arm as they made their way down, quiet as she listened for any other sign of the monsters as she longed for home.

"You're better than you think Rowena," Angonous said sensing Rowena's doubt. He turned around placing his hand on her slender should. "If it weren't for you we would never have been able to warn the people of Nubian Prime of the Rakghoul out break. The whole planet would've been doomed if you haven't hacked into the resorts mainframe. We would never have let the general know about our whereabouts if you haven't amplified the signal. And you have changed my perspective on how power is attained."

He stepped closer to Rowena. "You have changed my life Rowena," he whispered deactivating his Lightsaber. "And that is why I will dedicate my life to you."

"I suppose that I did alright...Thank you." Rowena allowed herself a small moment to be humble. It was a nice distraction from their current situation, and it almost felt as though she was back at another of her functions, being praised for the work that she had done.

However saving a planet wasn't ever one of those things.

Yet now she looked up at Darth Angonous Darth Angonous ' eyes as he began to whisper before plunging them into darkness. Even in the surrounding blackness, she thought that she could still see his eyes. She felt something tugging at her inside, pulling her ever closer to him as though his Force Magic was surrounding her and drawing her close to him as she was when he protected her from the falling debris. She felt safe in those arms; so much so that the very thought of being that close to him again gave her delightful goosebumps.

"Well that's.....I mean, I would hope that...." Rowena found herself stumbling over her words, which grew increasingly embarrassing while she tried to focus her thoughts. "...We should... finish what we started..."

Angonous went closer to Rowena but ultimately nodded there wasn't time, who knows what the CIS could be planning while the two of them stand around becoming more and more attracted to each other. "You are better than you think," Angonous said giving Rowena a soft hug. "Now let's get down and turn on that generator."

Rowena couldn't see Darth Angonous Darth Angonous . It was too dark. She could only feel him and hear him. Not just his voice, but his breath, his heart. Even the warmth of his body could be felt due to the fact that they were in a cold building.

She returned his hug and let herself settle into it for a moment, before pulling out of it. "Yes, we should. Though you'll need to light the way again with your sword." Why did he turn it off? Maybe it was to hide them.

Angonous activated his Lightsaber as soon as Rowena said that. "Stay close," he said beginning to walk towards the stairs ahead. "We're almost out of here," It'll be nice to be free from this hellhole so Angonous could go back to the Sith Empire and help fight back against the traitorous Sith and the Jedi. As they descended down the stairs, Angonous could hear the sound of water dripping on the floor. "Sounds like a flooding," he whispered holding out his Lightsaber. "Just to be safe, I'll go first stay on the stairs and don't move unless I say so okay?"

She hoped that they were almost out of there. But it wasn't easy to keep her hopes up. Not in this nightmare.

Rowena stayed close as Darth Angonous Darth Angonous bade her to do. And as he told her to stop and wait at the stairs, she pulled off one of her shoes and held it, ready to throw or smack something at any given moment if she needed to.

As soon as Rowena was left behind, Angonous walked towards the wet corridor his Lightsaber humming while he guided his blade to light the path ahead. There were roars above them though they were far away, as Angonous got closer he could see the water rising inch by inch. "I found the way in!" Angonous shouted. "But it's full of water! So unless you wanna stay, I'm going to have carry you over my lady!"

The further away that Darth Angonous Darth Angonous got, the darker everything around her had become. She didn't want to be left alone in the dark. And those roars, however far away they were, they provided her with no comfort. How was she to hit what she couldn't see?

That was just unacceptable. "I don't wish to be left here alone." She slipped back on her shoe as she waited for him to come back to her.

Angnous sighed at Rowena Arenais took her hand. "Fine," he said. "But stick close to me okay? Or do you want me to carry you through the water my lady? Don't worry It's free of charge," Angonous gave Rowena smile as they entered the bottom area.

"Yes, carry me please." Who knows what filth was in this water and she didn't want to get her dress soiled again. Not after she had just washed it.

Her arms wrapped around him as Darth Angonous Darth Angonous lifted her up. "It shouldn't be far, right? We'll be out of this soon." That was the hope anyways. She wanted to go back into the lap of luxury.

The Sith Lord chuckled and picked up Rowena in a bridal carry. "Very well," he said. "Considering that every time turn my back you seem to be in trouble with you close to me that means I can keep you close." Angonous smiled at Rowena making sure to brush off the straw from her hat. "But we're almost there my lady we just need to make one final push."

"Keep me safe, you mean." Darth Angonous Darth Angonous wasn't talking sense. Maybe they had been at this too long, or there was something in the air. Whatever it was, it hadn't hit her yet, thankfully.

The water looked disgusting, but that was probably due to dirty pipes. All that they had to do was get those shields down and they'd be free to leave.

Oh she couldn't wait to hit the spa close to home...

"Of course my lady," Angonous said chuckling as they traversed through the dirty water. "It is my duty to keep you safe and clean." They finally arrived at the generator and Agnouous placed Rowena down and began to analyze the electric box. "The fuse has blown," The Sith lord muttered. "There has to be a replacement nearby."

"Blown? Than how are the shields still up?" That made no sense to her, but maybe Darth Angonous Darth Angonous knew better than she did. She glanced around the yucky mess that clung everywhere. She could even feel it all wanting to coat her skin. Oh boy was she going to need a shower and then a soak in a hot bath after this.

"Have you tried just...turning it on and off again?"

Darth Angonous turned on the generator but there was no power. "Nothing," he muttered. "Looks we're going to have to look for a fuse," he placed Rowena down. "Unless you can do something to activate it." he shrugged. Despite her claims, Rowena was pretty successful with technology maybe she can work her magic with the generator.

Rowena did her best not to do a facepalm. For a man he was sure pretty clueless when it came to something so basic. But maybe it was due to hus upbringing and the fact that he was a Force User. All of that could take up certain comprehensions from his mind.

It was clear to her that the water had mixed with the electricity, creating a power surge. Certain fuse boxes were made in such a manner that new fuses were hardly ever needed. And obviously there was still some power as the shields had not yet dropped.

She bypassed Darth Angonous Darth Angonous and went straight to the fusebox, reading the chart and glancing about the room to be sure of which numbered switches lined up with which section of the room and elsewhere. Finding them, Rowena flicked the switch off and then on again a second later, which more or less rebooted the circuitry.

A few sparks and a quick whiff of ozone came before the generator was brought back to life. It's mechanisms whirred, bringing a delightful smile to cross her face. She hurried past Ang, waving for him to follow her as she splashed through the water and went up the stairs quicker than one might expect the socialite to be able to run. She went straight to the security terminal and worked her way through it's systems to lower the shields. The faint hum that the shields produced that until now she didn't even realize was there had suddenly stopped.

The shields were down!

Rowena grabbed a security commlink and began speaking into it as she made her way up a few flights of stairs that would eventually lead her up to the roof. "This is Lady Rowena Arenais. My bodyguard and I have been trapped within the shields. We're on the roof of the security building. We need transport out if here ASAP before you bliw the resort up!"

~Copy that Lady Arenais. We'll get you out of there quickly. Just hold tight!~

And hold tight she did with baited breath until that transport had arrived minutes later, plucking the pair to safety. After they were a safe distance away, the resort down was bombarded with bunker buster bombs that penetrated deep under ground. Rowena watched as the flames and smoke rose, only then letting out her breath. The nightmare was over. She was safe. And her first plan of action was to get the best pampering that credits could buy.

The End.
