Private Into the Rabbit's Hole

Angonous smiled while he opened the door. "Gotta preserve your hair my lady," he said. "With luck when these Rakghouls attack you can kill them with your beauty." She did look beautiful but Angonous tried his best to hide his interest in her. Not yet, they needed to escape this place first and then they could proceed with this growing relationship. He could feel the conflict within Rowena, she was interested in Angonous as well.

As soon as he opened the door, all the Sith Lord could see was darkness coupled with the occasional bouts of electrical sparks. "Power is out," Angonous said taking out his Lightsaber and activating it. "The red glow displayed the bloodied walls along with burned holes that were created by blaster fire. "The Rakghouls also attacked this place," he whispered continuing to walk down the corridor. "Possibly infected, the creatures would've blown this door open."

Rowena had to smile at that comment. As if looks could kill....Wouldn't that be something?

She stayed close behind Darth Angonous Darth Angonous as he opened the door. There was much disappointment on her face as she saw the state of the interior of the security building. "Well if the power is out, how are the shields still up? Is there a back-up generator?" They needed to get to the terminal obviously. But right now they needed to be sure that it was safe first.

"The shield and power generator are separated," Angonous said slowly approaching walking through the hallway. "If the generator goes out the Shield still remains. The generator is only responsible for activating or deactivating the shields." It was a good answer to infiltrators trying to shut off a generator. It was bad for Angonous and Rowena though as now the only way was to turn on the generator. "We're going to have to locate the generator," Angonous said before a Rakghoul roar echoed through the hallway.

"And we're going to need to hurry," Angonous said holding Rowena close and placing his Lightsaber in front.

Oh great. More complications. Why couldn't they make this easy? "Just wonderful..." Rowena spoke under her breath.

Yet all of that was forgotten when she heard the Rakghoul growl. There was no protest from her as Darth Angonous Darth Angonous held onto her and took a defensive stance. "Should we backtrack and get outside?" As far as she was concerned, the generator couldn't of been in the same building. It'd more than likely be in something similar to a shed, or even tucked away in the trees. But this was a resort, so it could be somewhere even more obvious than that.

Angonous frowned. "Perhaps the generator could be outside," he said as he heard scuttling from afar. The disturbance in the force had gotten stronger but the Sith Lord had a feeling that this disturbance wasn't because of the Rakghouls. "Let's get going," Angonous turned around and headed for the entrance. However before he could reach the door there was a violent tremor which nearly threw him off balance. Angonous deactivated his Lightsaber and held on to Rowena to prevent her from falling. "Damn!" he said as pieces of large debris fell in front of them blocking the entrance way.

Angonous hugged Rowena trying to keep her close and safe as he frowned. "Looks like we won't be using that route," he said as the there was more growling behind them. The Sith Lord turned around as two Rakghouls both infected human and duros charged directly at them. There was more roars accompanied the pair from the tower as well. "Stay back!" Angonous roared at Rowena as he activated his Lightsaber.

Rowena's heart started racing mere seconds before the tremors came. She let herself be enveloped by Darth Angonous Darth Angonous 's arms, her hat being deflected off of her head and falling onto the floor. But she didn't care at the moment. She wanted to be out of this nightmare and be back into safety.

Yet there was more than debris in their way. Now there were monsters! As Angonous let her go and told her to get back, she swooped her hand down and picked up the hat, placing it on her head as she then moved back towards where the debris had fallen. Where else was she to go? There was nowhere.

Now it was her time to see if Force Magic was all that it was made out to be, or just a bunch of nonsense.

Letting his anger fuel him, Angonous leapt on to the human infected Rakghoul slicing him from head to groin. The other Rakghoul was about to leap on him but Angonous force gripped him midair leaving the creature grasping for breath before slammed him so hard on to the floor his skull turned into paste. More Rakghouls came from the hallway about three of them but Angonous blasted them with force lightning putting his hatred into the power as the creatures were burned alive. Behind Rowena were Rakghouls attempting to get past the debris, their arms reaching out to Rowena. "

Rowena had seen some fights in her time, but nothing like this. Seeing people cut down like that, seeing them obliterated and burned was a fresh experience that would forever be ingrained in her memory. It was disgusting, nightmare inducing, and she wanted to pinch herself just to try to wake up out of this mess.

But the Rakghouls behind her weren't going to give her any respite. Rowena had nothing to fight them off with, but her hat, which she took off of her head and held defensively. Swatting them with it wasn't going to do much of anything at all, but that was all that she could do. Darth Angonous Darth Angonous was the only one that held a weapon of any use....

And then it struck her. She put her hat back on and then quickly slipped off her heels. The pointed tips were sure to hurt anyone. And with as much energy as she could muster, she hurled her shoes at the faces of the Rakghouls that tried to reach her.

As Rowena hurled her heels, the pointed ends landed on the eyes of the first Rakghoul that tried to crawl through. The creature screamed in pain and retreated behind the rocks, the heels ricocheted off the creatures face and landed on Rowena's feet. Angonous ran past Rowena and used the force to push the rock back crushing the creatures behind. The Sith Lord sighed as he knelt on one knee. "Turns out I should've slept last night," he said. "I've been relying on the force too much."

If only she had more strength in her throw, then maybe her heels would have pierced through the eyeballs of the monster. But as it was she at least got her heels back. Rowena slipped them on just before Darth Angonous Darth Angonous rushed past and closed the opening that the Rakghouls were using to their advantage.

As he knelt down, she approached and placed her hands on his shoulders. "A proper rest would do both of us good. And the Force isn't the answer to everything. Now this is a security building, right? Surely there's an armoury or something here and we can find some blaster rifles. That'll help. And no doubt the extra firepower will lift your spirits. So...let's go find it."

Rowena was wrong the force is the answer to all of life's mysteries but he knew that Rowena was trying to cheer Angonous up and he smiled at her. "Blaster Rifles aren't my thing my lady," he said. "Besides we have to find that generator as soon as possible I have a feeling that the good soldier doesn't want to wait for us." The Sith Lord then stared in her eyes. "Thank you though," he said. "If you want to rest we can do so."

"Well blaster rifles are far more affective than my heels. And if you're getting tired, then we'll need the extra help." Darth Angonous Darth Angonous needed the rest more than she did. Especially as he was pretty much doing all the fighting.

Rowena held his gaze and felt...drawn to it. But she forced herself to focus on the task at hand. "Come on, we have to find a different way out anyways, and your light sword probably needs to recharge it's battery anyways." She patted his shoulder and then encouraged him to get up.

Angonous summoned the force and had it course through his entire body. He immediately got up and placed his hand on Rowena's slender shoulder. "You are a resourceful person," he said. "But have you ever fired a blaster before?" Besides the Sith Lord didn't like blasters he has a good aim with them but they are so uncilized.

"Well no, but it can't be that difficult. Just aim and pull the trigger." How hard could it be? It wasn't like she'd be shooting a target from a big distance away. Rowena would be waiting until they were close enough for her not to miss.

Unless Darth Angonous Darth Angonous was just afraid that she'd shoot him by mistake?

Angonous heavily sighed when Rowena mentioned that it wasn't difficult at all to handle a blaster. "Yeah I think you'll be more successful using your heels or your straw hat than with a blaster." Offering his arm for Rowena to take, Angonous turned to the hallway. "Come on," he said. "We need to locate that generator. There has to be a map somewhere."

Rowena smirked as she shook her head a little, quite surprised that Darth Angonous Darth Angonous wasn't going to let her use a blaster. Still she took his arm as they walked. "Don't you trust me? It's not like I'm asking to use your light sword. At least a blaster would have more of an affect than my heels."

This wasn't quite her arena, however. She was far more used to the political variety.

"Well first," Angonous said to Rowena. "As I mentioned to you multiple times yesterday my Lightsaber does not run on battery. You're talking about the old Lightsabers but they were used as siege weapons rather than for actual combat." As they walked through the hallway, the floor became grimy and slippery. Angonous made sure that Rowena was stable as they walked through. "Second a blaster isn't like throwing rocks or heels you have to take good care of it my lady. I trust you but I want to make sure that you are out of trouble. The more you fight the more of these Rakghouls will come after you like a predator coming after its prey. They see it as a challenge."

Rowena furrowed her brows as she listened to Darth Angonous Darth Angonous explain his reasoning. All of it was sound and she wasn't going to argue his points. But still, she didn't like the fact that she was pretty much helpless. Rowena was used to portraying strength, yet now she was more like the damsel in distress.

"Whatever you think is best. Although perhaps after I get home, I'll buy some blasters and learn to use them." Then at least she wouldn't have to rely on others all the time.

"I'd rather you maintain your womanly ways," Angonous said as he guided her through the dark corridors. "You inspire me by displaying power in a different manner than the one I'm accustomed to." The pair arrived at the dimly lit hallway where there was some scratches and splotches of blood on the directions. Angonous squinted but it did say that the power generator was at the bottom floor. "Looks like we're going down," he said to Rowena.

Did Darth Angonous Darth Angonous find that women that knew how to fire blasters were manly? If anything, Rowena thought that she could be viewed as some femme fatale. But it was clear that he prefered to not be challenged in his position of protecting her. If Rowena could protect herself than what would she need him for?

Her attention was then drawn to the map. The damage to it wasn't very promising. And now they had to go down.

In the dark.

"We'll need some light..."
