Into The Wild

Walking the Path to Redemption
Lilythe laughed hysterically at that last comment. "Me? In a dress? Do you know who you're talking too? I don't belong in dresses. I've never worn one in my life! I've never even had the opportunity to wear one. If I was ever to be married I'd probably still be wearing my woodsman clothing!" she was almost to the point of rolling on the floor she was laughing so hard. She tried to picture herself in a dress for a few moments and burst into a fit of laughter again. It was just too funny. [member="Arthur David Hardrada"]

He leaned around and kissed her on the cheek as it would be obvious what he was doing as his hands took an arm with each and he started to move her to the center of the cabin. "Oh come now, you would look absolutely perfect in a dress Lilythe, after all you wear this all the time. Probably smells like Tenebrae after a bath most of the time no?" He smiled at the Hirion and then turned his eyes back on the girl as he turned her to face him now out in the middle of her cabin.

"I make my clothes Arthur... I have multiple versions of this exact outfit. It's really not as bad as you seem to believe," she replied, glancing at him curiously. She had no idea what it was he was trying to do. The young woman really was bad with people in a social sense. Reading someone and determining whether they were up to no good was a different situation. She was a very good lawkeeper, but outside of arresting people and investigating them, she had no social skills. [member="Arthur David Hardrada"]

He smiled and started to coax her into moving her body as he tried to get her to dance with him, his eyes focused on hers and smiling as he leaned in and pressed his forehead against hers. "You know, i was trying to give you a compliment there you forest Nymph, you dont have to be so serious and stiff all the time." He smiled and remained like that as he tried to get her to move with him and dance together in the middle of her cabin.

Lilythe instinctively moved her feet along with him. The girl had never really danced before though, so her movements were awkward and she kept tripping over her own feet as well as his. She couldn't help smiling and laughing though as she did. Maybe Arthur was right, maybe she was a bit too up tight. She shrugged the thoughts away, there would be plenty of time to contemplate that later, right now she just wanted to focus on the moment. [member="Arthur David Hardrada"]

He would smile and as they danced he leaned in suddenly and kissed her without warning, a smile painting his face as he sighed and stopped moving just to hold her there against him. He would only speak after they separated and he said something that he thought was best in this moment. "You know, i wanted to do that for months if not years... quite happy im doing it now and would love to keep doing it."

Lilythe blushed as he kissed her, returning the sentiment eagerly. "I've hoped for this day for so long now," she replied, smiling back at him. The forester was not as experienced with emotional situations as Arthur was, but she had a feeling this emotion she felt whenever she saw Arthur was in fact love. The brunette leaned up and kissed him. "I wonder how upset your father would be if he could see us." She teased, smirking at him. [member="Arthur David Hardrada"]

"I really don't care what he thought so i dont now." He leaned his head against the girl and smiled at her for a few long seconds. Before just shaking his head as he danced with her and just wanted to remain like this for a long long time. He really didn't have any plans that would restrict him from just remaining like this anyways so it didn't worry him.

Lilythe giggled and continued to dance with him. Things went on peacefully for a few minutes before she suddenly let go of him, gripping her upper arm in pain. Her old injury was beginning to ache horribly again, probably from keeping her arm in one position for such a long time. The archer growled and dug her nails on her other hand into a pressure point in her leg to try and divert the pain away from her crippled right arm. "Damn it." [member="Arthur David Hardrada"]

[member="Lilythe"]

He looked at her arm and stopped dancing to pull her over to a chair and sit her down while he got rags and some things he knew would dull the pain and help the girl's arm from being consumed with too much pain. "Please don't move much Lilythe... i can barely help you as it is..." He would give anything to help his friend and fix her arm, his soul or his arm simply to give her back the freedom of use that Arthur had in his own arm. He looked at the arm with his own pain in that he would never be able to heal her and this was all that he could do was wrap it up with a herbal remedy to help.

Lilythe growled softly, biting her lip so hard it bled. Why did she have to be so stupid? She needed to find a healer of some kind, but that meant leaving Arthur. "Damn it... Don't you... Know any powerful healers?" she asked, gritting her teeth due to the pain. The archer finally felt the searing pain in her arm subside and slumped a bit in her chair. She took a few gasping breaths and looked up at Arthur. [member="Arthur David Hardrada"]

"No one that can do this, but im sure i can find one. Just trust me and i wont disappoint you Lilythe. I promise you that." She would see his smile and he rested a hand on her shoulder before being sure that the woman infront of him was the woman that he would do anything to help as he loved her and any chance f her never getting his complete devotion in helping her was out of the question. With that thought he only smiled and leaned his head in to kiss her nose. "I promise, we will find one."

Lilythe nodded. She reached up with her good arm and grabbed his wrist, gesturing for him to pull her up. Once she was on her feet again, the archer walked back over to the couch and plopped down on it. She tucked her legs up under her and leaned against the arm, waiting for Arthur to join here. Tenebrae was napping on the other side of the room. [member="Arthur David Hardrada"]

He sat down beside her on the couch, his hand resting on her leg as she still clung to it with a small smile on his mouth as he leaned in and pushed her hair to the side. He stared at her eyes for a few moments before just learning back with her beside him and relaxing. He couldn't really think nor did he want to of any reason why he might want to move from where he sat. It was this moment he would not trade for much of anything really, with her against his arm he was happy just like this.

Lilythe sighed and curled against him. She leaned her head against his shoulder and tried not to fall asleep. Tenebrae decided he felt left out of the cuddling and proceeded to walk over. He climbed onto whatever part of the couch was still empty and laid down so the he was partly in Arthur's lap. 'I know I try to act like I'm above this sort of thing but... Can i has pets too?" the large Hirion wolf asked, nudging Arthur's hand with his nose. [member="Arthur David Hardrada"]

[member="Lilythe"]

'And apparently, this is now happening..." He thought to himself as he sat there and had not only Lilythe against him but a wolf crawling up onto the couch and onto his leg... because that was normal after all. With a smiled he laughed internally and drew a hand over the length of the wolf's body with a smile and leaned his head back against the couch as he listened to the sounds within the cabin before looking at her and smiling. "I forgot to ask, is shaggy coming too or?"

"Of course Tenebrae is coming! Do I ever go anywhere without him? He's my best friend! Well aside from you..." she replied, looking a bit hurt that he would even consider that she could leave the large wolf behind. She reached down to scratch the large creature behind the ears. 'As if I'd let you leave me behind. You get into too much trouble when I'm not there,' The wolf seemed to be laughing as it chimed into the conversation. [member="Arthur David Hardrada"]

He grinned an leaned back as he spoke. "Jusst wanted to make sure, that way i know if im dealing with one feral animal or two of them, not too keen on having the smell of you two drifting through the ship at all times of the day. Do you know what wet dog and crazy lady smells like." He smiled and knew that was probably going to earn him some kind of physical response, but it was definitely worth it in the end of all things.

Lilythe smacked him as hard as she could, right on his stomach. "Oh shut up! I bathe! I don't smell bad! And I give Tenebrae baths quite frequently as well. Also, I'm not a wild animal, though I was basically raised by one," Lilythe replied, glaring at him. She kept up the angry charade for a few moments before smiling and laughing at him. He grinned as she smacked him hard on the stomach and couldn't help but laugh at her as she looked all angry at him like she was actually that mad at him. Then she started laughing and he smiled even wider as he spoke nd ran a hand through her hair. "And theres the sound that i love, do you realize how perfect your laugh sounds?" He leaned in and kissed her with a even wider smile crossing his face. "I could sit like this forever, you know that right?"
