Introduction to Healing Arts

Death was not unfamiliar to Rianna she had seen it many times over her life what she had a hard time doing getting past the deaths. How to accept something she thought she could change. Sleeping had become difficult so she dived into doing things to keep her mind from lingering. Teaching she had always enjoyed it.

She would try just healing arts and first aide first...then if she felt strong enough she'd do a class on force healing. If she could.

Since her last class had made her feel so much more apart of the living world again Rianna decided to do another. Something that she had loved her whole life, something that gave others the skills they needed to help others.

"Good Morning welcome. I am your instructor for this one day class on healing arts, and first aide. You might be wondering how do the two tie together. They go hand in hand. So..."

She looked across the audience of the auditorium. They were all eager and awake the smell of stimcaf filled the air, breakfast sandwiches appeared from brown bags, and the smell of sweetner began to counter the other aromas. The audience was filled with a variety of ages all ready to learn something from the old girl.

"Call me Rianna, Mam makes me feel really old. Any questions before we get started?"

Tin'tinag

Life is a queen, if not it would be to easy
Tin was not really a lessons person, preferring to try things out and fix them up as time went on, a trial and error sort of person, but not with The Jedi Order dissolved and back to being independent the Light Knight could not really afford to make mistakes. More so with the art of healing and first aid, having been on the end of a lightsabre attack one to many times.

The orange Twi'lek along with her force sensitive crew member [member="Petal"] sat around along with [member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"] as she introduced herself, the future lesson today and asked about questions, Tin raising her hand for such an occasion. "Yes one, will we be doing any practical events today? though leaning about the theory and all is good will there be actual people that need healing during this lesson"? It may have been an off-colour question, but one was able to truly master a skill when they first knew the knowledge behind it, as well as the understanding and use.

An old saying was where she got it from, something about knowledge lighting the road way, understanding being the steps and the end goal being wisdom.

normally it would have been difficult to get petal to willing be in a place with so many people but when [member="Tin'tinag"] had told her about this "class" she almost couldn't contain the excitement she fix almost any starship droid or holodisk but people she couldn't and she didn't wont to be helpless if anything happened to [member="Tin'tinag"]

petal face went red and even tho she also wanted to know she couldn't help but notice that all the eyes in the room where on her captain and some also taking noticed of her

Iona sat in the back of the 'class' determined that this time, this single time, she would do everything in her power to not doze off during the lesson, really, it wasn't her fault just it was dreadfully boring to listen to someone discuss the theoretical and philosophical implications of whatever they were discussing. But this was different, Iona had been around too many people she couldn't help, too many people broken physically and mentally by the horrors of the galaxy and she was tired of only being able to watch helplessly as they passed away before her. She was only a liaison to the FWC from the Republc Remnant, but she hadn't been able to find the instruction she needed in the healing arts there, so she had, quite literally, jumped for joy when she heard about the class being put together by [member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"].

She pushed a lock of crimson hair and tucked it behind her ear as she focused, she hoped the twi'lek's, who she was sure had a lovely name but Iona had no idea what it was, question would be answered with a yes as that would go a long way in stopping her from dozing off, but she wasn't sure how they could go about practical lessons as Iona wasn't sure getting a bunch of them to go to a hospital and 'touch' all the patients would be smart. Perhaps someone cuts themselves and the other person heals? Iona winced at the idea, she certainly hoped that wasn't it.

The first question had not changed in all her years of teaching, "Yes there will be patients to come in the Medical Center across the way will send non urgent, non critical to us when i tell them it's ok. Normally we don't, but the choice was here or there. Here at least we will not be in the way." She had taught a class where she had the students use their own hands for healing. They understood their own bodies substantially better than someone else.

First aide and healing arts though these skills tended to wake up the mind make it yearn for more. She had been so, and she knew there were others out there. The next great healer waiting to be taught.

"Any other questions? If not I have one for you, how many here have taken first aide, or field medic classes before?" Let's find out where the class stood.

Tin gave a light 'what' shrug as [member="Petal"] became embarrassed at her question, the girl seeming to become shy over the littlest of things, probably a bad choice to make them center of the auditorium with asking the first question. It did not take [member="Rianna Ar'klim-Organa"] long to respond, her voice giving the hint that many past student had said the exact same thing, making Tin feel a little embarrassed, perhaps a little more research into the classes that went down where would have been in order.

"I understand now, so we learn new skills and help people out at the same time, that is rather resourceful I must say", then again what did she suspect from a Jedi master. Whispering to her companion 'Hey Petal, are you just going to learn first aid or will you try flexing your force powers? I know your not very strong with them, but perhaps you may be able to pull this off'. Telekinesis or other more physical manifestation of the force may be a bit hard for her to use, but healing and minor things might be a possibility for the Twi'lek.
