I'm going to formally and politely ask you to make some severe edits.
Firstly, you called no hits. At all. Eight thousand guns, 240 heavy warheads, and 120 standard warheads, not counting the bombers and starfighters, have just fired. I took hits, I lost two ships and, while off the top of my head I can't remember if I made it explicit or not, I took/implied I took widespread overall hits across the fleet.
Second, my engines are my engines, not yours. Flank speed will wear down your engines, true. Eventually. If you have a crap engine, yes, you're at risk. Military ships with military standards and military engines? They're fine. I probably shaved a year or so of overall lifetime off of them, but they're not gonna blow up or be vulnerable.
Third, your envelopment was pure metagaming. There is no way you could have known that specific tactic at that specific time with that specific person. I've not fleeted on this board and you've not met any of my alts or this character IC'ly, so you have no IC basis to predict anything aside from standard battle tactics. Arguably, my fleet tactic is not standard. If [member="Darth Isolda"] has posted up with IC basis, yeah, then I could see a faster reaction time. Literally going "we knew this from the start" ain't gonna fly.
Fourth, you tried breaking tractor beams with a frigate. One tractor beam? Cool. I used ALL of the tractor beams that could target the Unity from the H.O.C., a ship that is moving at flank speed. Your Frigate would need to not only plot exactly where the H.O.C. is going and intercept it accordingly, but you'd need the exact speed to do that in. In one post, not possible. Just physics and reality, not possible. Two posts? Probably not, but I'd accept it because at least there's a precedent with the first post for the speed/reaction of the second post.
Fifth, you're trying to envelop an entire fleet moving at flank speed. By the time you've moved into position, they ships you're enveloping have already passed. You would literally have to come about, match speed, and then maneuver your ships to envelop. Again, this would be more than one post.
Sixth, and this ties into the tractor beam part, but you dodged a 2km ship going at flank speed that literally altered course at the last possible moment to feasibly ram the Unity, which was, last I checked, going in full reverse. Full reverse to hard right means you have to stop momentum at some point and then go forward. Would you have been nailed as hard? Would it be square on the bridge? Probably not, but you'd still have gotten smacked purty hard.
In general, I'd like to see some serious edits, here man. Even if it's just taking a hit. And his isn't "Popo's trying to stall again." This is "Popo's literally dumbfounded and thought better of the other writer he's up against."
