Invasion of Carida OOC

I question that.

How can that be legitimate and taken into consideration by the Administration and RPJ's as a legal move? We're not talking about the LOA but Ok, so one person leaves due to unforeseen circumstances so a fresh person enters with a fresh set of ships?

Reinforcements if you will. This is perfectly legitimate? I question seriously the accuracy of all of that as well as the fairness to the Republic Players who are engaged in Fleet Combat.

Technically speaking Alicia couldve called in about 23km more ships at any time(because she only had about 2km worth of ships), so having her fleet taken over Naomi doesn't seem like its really a big deal, especially since the amount of ships being used doesn't break the rules in any way and neither does the fleeter being replaced.

However is there is serious objection from the Republic we'd be happy to have an RPJ rule on it.

That is why [member="Darth Naomi"] asked [member="Popo"] and [member="Ayden Cater"]

Is my character involved in this battle? Yes, she is. So I have a right to ask. Why? You have said yourself: "You have have a possible chance of getting blown out of the sky." Or to that effect. More ships means more of a threat.

Edit - Withdrawn last portion.

no I am not saying that, I am saying it was put to hear and @ mentioned people to ask if all right. So no we are not just doing it, we are asking for consent. Not to start an argument

The rules being used in this entire takeover were decided completely by an RPJ. SWRP inherently runs via a "blacklist" approach when regarding rules - meaning that everything not specified should be allowed or else we can make the conclusion that nothing left out in the rules is allowed.

In the rules, while a maximum of 5 fleeters is given it doesn't mention the act of switching them out. It's reasonable to assume that it's allowed so long as we abide by the 5 fleeter maximum at one point as well as the 125 km limit. We will be satisfying both explicit requirements regardless.

While One Sith administration is willing to talk this out, making a serious suggestion that we cannot switch people out makes me question the point of even having these rules forced upon the Invasion if they're not going to be complete enough to cover every situation. The quality of roleplay diminishes if the goalposts are moved continuously.

I'll speak with Ayden and a few others in more detail when I get off work around 22:00 or so, but I'm not adverse to swapping out fleeters. I am adverse to bringing in whole new fleets entirely. If the new fleeter/fleeters want to swap out with current fleeters, let them have the existing fleets already in use. Naomi wants to replace Drey, so she should get Drey's fleet. Drey didn't bring a full fleet, which is fine, but adding to it with a whole new fleet when it was set with the initial post and supported with follow-up posts would technically be, at least in my opinion, a whole new fleet. It's similar enough to me bringing in another 10km when I've taken about 10km worth of casualties that I'm not fully comfortable with that type of switch. That said, I'll speak with Ayden and the rest and reach a consensus.

Until then, those who are not fleeting and/or directly affected by the swap/potential swap I please ask to let us sort this out. I'd rather avoid any potential powder kegs if at all possible. Thank you :)

I'm going to address this before I close my shop of commentary up on this thread until I'm asked something; I do not, nor have I questioned your one for one swap. I question your methodology.

One for one swap would seem fair if someone has to leave, yes, but a one for one swap plus a brand new set of ships is something entirely different and completely uncalled for. In addition it is causing exactly what you said would be caused:

"The quality of roleplay diminishes if the goalposts are moved continuously."

Now, that being said. I'm done as I'm not actively engaged as a Fleeter.

[member="Popo"] no we simply removed a corrupt decedent government, and replaced it with an efficient one . Which long term is better for the people down their.

Soooo... mass starvations, decreased economy, refugee camps everywhere, economic depression, thousands of dead, even more wounded, billions if not trillions in damage, and lack of proper medical care in areas due to the widespread damage is better than a "Decadent" government? People forget that when you violently restructure the government, whether for good or poor reasons, the people suffer more than anything, even if they were suffering before.

yer I give you that, though we are using them well, by crashing them into your shiny new ones

[member="Popo"] in saints and sinners I am addressing those issues, and we are sending medical droids food down to areas. That your government never really tend to the needs of under ciy, where I am starting my rebuilding project. So we are making the really poor our priority.
they also more likely to join us as troops
