Invasion of Druckenwell by Omega Protectorate

[member="Morna Imura"] loving the idea, you can avatar it to yer wee hearts content mate :p

[member="Raziel"] What Morna said, this will be a surprise invasion, however Druckenwell *was* an Imperial Fortress world back in the day and its our main navy shipyard. So expect there to be just as many defenses and personnel as Bothawui. Its gonna be a huge fecking fight and it'll all come down to on the spot tactics IC.

If we're going to go for realism then argument goes the other way to your geomancy [member="Morna Imura"], even though the tactics are great!

A large city (20km radius) would have over 100km of border and 1000km^2 of area to cover. How much can you cover as one person? I don't exactly see how you can be covering the other side of a city many many miles away, we have a roughly circular front to defend if this is a siege (well a dome if you consider shuttles of course). Likewise the chance of you being within a km of a drop pod landing at a random location in the city is ~0.07% Even if we make the reasonable assumption that they will strike down a limited number of key routes, you can't cover them all and even if we block those they'll disperse to a greater number of smaller routes.

I'm assuming we're not in the medieval era and the city doesn't have a wall.

How much choking can a military of tens of thousands (which I'd assume we have) do?

And yes, I understand that to make this work it comes down to what individual characters do and not really the 100s of thousands of NPC army grunts on the ground :D

As much as it pains me to say it [member="Raziel"] one player counts (For the most part, given we are all super heroes) for about OVER 9000 NPCs. So yeah, even though we have a large area to cover, most of the "fighting" will be focused on the areas where we/they are.

Yes I know, I should turn the brain off and attack something with a lightsaber/space magic.

How many Jedi died in the Geonosis arena to how many battle droids? :)

Unless anything else pans out once it kicks it off I may stay near Strask and get in amongst the enemy.

[member="Salem Norongachi"], will do. Would love to just do all of this.

[member="Raziel"], The thing about Geomancy, is that once rock is moved there, it's there. So once I put it up, it stays there. Only way it can move is if it is utterly destroyed, or I move it back. Even the weakest of Geo shapers can make a pillar strong enough to stop a podracer. (did it in a duel a while back) but as I am a Master in the force, I have more control, more ability to create even stronger walls and fortifications. As I said, I did this tactic before. In a Dominion, I had a max of 15,000 troops, against a fleet of a good million strong.

Won by doing exactly this tactic. Choke points will be good for us and limit our casualties by ten fold at least. having many hoke points around the city will force them to only come in from one direction. However, I just hope not to see Sio or she will break all of my walls. And just for an FYI, I have done things that would seem impossible.

[member="Raziel"], I erected a wall about 5 meters wide and 17 meters high around a 10km city. If the city already has walls, then I can do many layers of walls within the city leading them to the center where along the way troops will be posted, as well as PC's to take them on.

Remember we are fighting for our homes. If they have to try and take our planet, then we need to give them all the hell we can. Sometimes its not a matter of killing them all, but more so, a tactic of making them back off because it would be unreasonable to try and take it.

Live in Light, Surf Master
Defend the orbital shipyards
I'll throw Manu into this with the Sv'yato Fleet (5800 m, link in Manu's bio)
He's a Fleeter, will defend. :) If anyone wants to join the Fleety Action, I'm more than willing to bring them on & I do have some spots for IC Captains/Officers on some of the Sv'yato Fleet ships.

Lizzy.

Refer to my Force Powers list in my Bio. Pick something, I can do alot of tricky, tricky poodoo.

I am a Master of Alter Environment in Fire and Air (Pyromancy and Aeromancy). I could roll y'all up some huge ass fire tornados and the like... Use your imagination. lol. ;)

Corey's OOC

And where were the spiders
Fire tornados.

As previously stated I can fleet and run droid starfighter. Unless we want to have a reaction/gunslinging master who is a sith hopeful on the floor

[member="Ket Van Derveld"], if you want, you can join me in throwing off drop pods with Aeromancy. Burning them as well if the uses were aided with fire. Seeing that if I were going to do alot of the fortifications on the ground by myself, I need another to help back me up, or you can take the lead if you want.

[member="Marek Starchaser"], With your superiority of droid ships, I say you could be good with fleeting or protecting the Shipyards.

Galaar Tal'Verda

Just one more butchered soul.
Reporting for combat duty.

Lets' try and keep collateral damage to a minimum, eh?

If Sio shows, I can serve as a distraction depending on how the early battle goes.

[member="Raziel"] Yes, Yes, come with me and troll everyone they send!

I won't be picking targets. Just picking out random enemies at will. This city will be my largest trap.

Which is more fun when I can't prepare. Which means no dropping buildings on people. Darn.......
