Invasion of Ord Mirit OOC [GR vs. OS]

"...the fact that it's not in the factory sub does mean that it will need to be removed."

We cannot be asked to remove a perfectly valid piece of canon technology that is being used appropriately. The factory is entirely optional and the technology is valid. Freighters, gunships and capital ships alike all use concussion missiles, do they not?

If you can prove the device cannot possibly be used in this sense by providing a canon source, then we will acquiesce to your request. Until then, however, no alterations will be made, and damage will need to be administered accordingly.

We do not expect this device to destroy your entire half of the map, nor do we expect it to operate on a capital-grade level. We expect only what we always have: A rational and creative approach to dealing with the hand you've been dealt.
I made a gif because I'm a comedic relief character here.

No offense intended. Just keks.

Please keep it civil in the OOC chat.

These are genuine questions and concerns that some are having about some of the technology that's being used, and people shouldn't be mocked for asking questions or raising issues.

Intent: To provide Rendili, and Rendili Stardrive's Clients with Heavy Hitting, Fast, and Maneuverable Gunship.
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Rendili Stardrive
Model: BT-12 Thunderstrike
Affiliation: Republic, Rendili, Rendili Stardrive Clients
Modularity: No
Production: Mass
Material: Durasteel, Transparisteel
Description: A reintroduction of the BT series, the BT-12 Thunderstrike very much resembles the BT-7 Thunderclap design of old. Sporting heavier laser cannons, more missile tubes, and a bomb bay to boot though, the BT-12 is much more firmly armed than its ancestor craft. In addition when constructing and developing the BT-12, Rendili Stardrive noticed the flaw of the huge size of the original BT-7 design and worked tirelessly to transform the craft into a more manageable and reasonable size. Now much smaller than its predecessor the BT-12 is a much more difficult target to track by enemy craft both large and small, though it ssacrificesits ability to act as a large freighter in exchange. Still as a dedicated attack vessel the BT-12 delivers with heavy weaponry to blow apart enemy starfighters, missile launchers with the punch to match enemy defenses, and the ability to commit to bombing runs against ground targets to support infantry and clear hot zones, the BT-12 delivers as a truly efficient military wonder.

The submission specifically states that it's not modular. So by using it in such manner, you are violating the premise of the original submission (you aren't just dealing with canon rules at this point).
Then PM the writer and if need be report the post.

[member="Irys Arist'lar"], I haven't fully decided that myself (hence the contigency orders given to the Scipio), but I can tell you that we will be emulating Thrawn at Battle of Coruscant. In other words, the gravity well generator of the Centurion-class will be used to precisely guide the Admiral Ackbar's entry onto the battlefield.

I just read your post...and yeah, sorry mate....that's not going to work. Force Choke is a pretty paralyzing power. Even as you lept into the air, the effects would be taken a stronger hold but I let that slide. Plus, I pretty much had you in locked in tight, the moment you flinched and it would have been game over.

Only I can detail what damage is inflicted to my character. With everything involved including the added trinkets to help keep my character calm, focused, have an added amount of omph and force power to counter it, it is possible. You may have me in a Force choke, but just like anyone acting in self defense in being blood choked, one has precious few seconds to counter, which is well within my realm of what I can react to in this instance.

Force Choke does not equal Force crush.

[member="Micah Talith"]

I didn't write damage...i wrote what would happen and should be happening. You forget, the moment you move or flinch, trinkets or not, I would react accordingly, and you would never get your Force Ability attack off. You assume that I would simply stand there and allow you to rifle off a Force attack when I clearly have you on lock down. Plus, Force Choke from a Sith Lord/Lady is a lot more potent than a Force Choke from a Acolyte or Knight. Emotions are stronger and well controlled. They are more powerful in nature due to a Sith Lord/Lady who has completely, utterly, and absolutely have given themselves over to the Darkside. Which holds true for Jedi Ranks.

And calm has nothing to do with Force Choke, panic has nothing to do with Force Choke. Force Choke attacks the throat/trachea region, not the ability to disrupt breathing in oxygen. Like I said, it's a paralyzing move and since you never addressed really in the first post, elected to dodge the discs first rather than understanding your body would begin to seize up normally from the attack, the discs would have hit you. But I let that slide because I had bigger plans in the works.

Force Kill is a more powerful application of Force Choke, never said anything about Force Crush.

[member="Darth Venefica"]

Just because you are a Sith Master doesn't mean your willpower is greater than mine, nor that your emotions are more controlled and refined. There are many canon examples of that. In "damage" my reference is in what you are expecting to happen, which is for me to be completely still as a puppet -- which is not automatic. As it is, my reply is well within the confines of me reacting to a Force Choke and attempting to distract you enough to drop it.

We may take this to private PM if you wish to continue.

[member="Micah Talith"]

I never said anything about willpower....nor anything about who has more controlled emotions.

And you have no merit to distract me, you are failing to understand that you are caught in grip where your throat/trachea is being heavily restricted and you seem to forget, that I'm standing right there. The moment you move or flinch, I will have the high ground over you and you would not be able to rifle off any Force attack.

I'm not under attack or under a threat of an attack......you are the one that is under attack and caught in a very bad situation. Whatever action you take, there will be a reaction. And since I'm not under an attack, I'm not distracted by anything.

There was a bit of miscommunication on our side on when the Ackbar would be coming into play. The Admiral Ackbar will be at 17.11, sorry about the confusion.
