No you are right, the time line might be confusing.
We have threads that IC started before this invasion that we dont take into account due to them being started OOC too late and vice verse. The Companies should be having their talks down the road since this invasion IC time wise happens before the companies reacts. But then we have company reaction right in the middle of and prior to the invasion as well.
It is pretty inhuman to ask someone sort it all out and if someone claims to know the correct timeline another will object to the same.
The invasion is started from Mando side due to the Red Dawn plot, as Gen made her move on Chazwa. But from there the times are blurry.
For instance. Mantic & [member="Draco"] veren and others are actually busy in other threads (Chazwa skirmish or whatnot) time wise at the same time as this invasion happens.
We have not agreed to the IC story behind this invasion but both factions have agreed on to disregard time hopping for the sake of this invasion, it is not something we will oppose or pay special attention to. One want to keep a bit sane after all.
So, I advice those who ask to try to think that we are taking all the ingrideants and throwing them into this great bowl of chuba stew that is our wonderful invasion.
Lets see what comes out of it once its ended and enjoy the ride, with its flaws, mean while.
This is how I see the timeline for all of this.
Event A:
GR Dominion for Tholatin: Prime Minister Genevieve stages a coup
------
Responding to Event A, Event B takes place.
Event B involves two threads.
Cutting Ties and
Severance. CEC, Tenloss, AEL, and Silk denounce the actions of Prime Minister Genevieve and cut ties with the Republic.
------
Due to Event A and Event B, Event C Occurred:
Danger Will Robinson
Prime Minister Genevieve uses ships, fleets, clones, and armies to nationalize the assets of independent corporations within Republic Territory.
------
That was when things got crazy. After Event C took place, a number of threads occurred at the same time or close to the same time, each in response to the Danger Will Robinson thread.
Corporate Warfare Against the Republic Clone Army
(ATC, several members of the SSB, and numerous corporate leaders meet to discuss the events and how they will respond)
Waking a Giant
(The Mandalorian Council of Alors meets at the request of Rygel Larraq and Olivia Dem'adas. Larraq is actively assembling a fleet while the meeting occurs. In the end, numerous Clan Leaders pledged their support to help Larraq secure Roche.)
An Offer You Can't Refuse
(Ignoring the meetings being held by others, Popo of Tenloss and Darell Irani of Saiba Group both moved to secure what they viewed as their most valuable holding in Republic space. Their mines and other facilities in Roche.)
A Call to Arms, a Rally Cry
(Individuals and organizations pledge to oppose Prime Minister Genevieve)
The Wheat and The Chaff
(Genevieve does things on Chazwa)
------
As an immediate response to one or more of the events that comprise Event C, the following threads make up Event D. They seem to happen at the same time, or close to the same time.
A United Front - Emergency Holo conference
(Danger and friends have another meeting)
Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen
(Corvus Raaf and Genevieve have a chat)
The Reckoning
(Jedi fighting and doing... things?)
Solidification of Roche
(Began the day after invasion negotiations began; Officially a response to "An Offer You Can't Refuse". Not sure if canon or not.)
A plea to the Mandalorian warrior
(Not sure if canon or not. Mantic attempts to negotiate with members of the Mandalorian Alor Council to halt an invasion.)
------
Now these are the big ones. These threads appear to be the primary combat threads that are the crescendo to what Genevieve has caused. Draco's in the Skirmish and the Invasion, so he'd likely have the best insight as to the order of things in this group.
Where My Country Gone?
(Danger's corporate friends lash out at Spaarti's cloning facilities)
Capitalist with a gun
(Rygel Larraq of Mandal Hypernautics leads a Mandalorian Invasion of Roche)
Not the Hero this city needs, but the Villains it Deserves!
(OS/Techno Union attacks Chazwa)
------
And after all of the fighting caused by the fallout of Genevieve's actions... we have these two threads. (currently anyway)
For Those Who Have Fallen
(Clones hold a funeral for those who died in the OS/TU attack on Chazwa)
The Best is Yet to Come
(With Rygel Larraq taking the bulk of the local warships to Roche, Death Watch has taken the opportunity to attack a vulnerable Mandalore. Strider dies in the thread.)

NPC's have no bearing on the outcome so why would it even matter? That said, they weren't going to be walking around, they were going to be setting up in a single location and accepting any and all wounded. IE, they were doing what Mel Gibson and his family did in The Patriot.
I also agree with whoever it was that said a companion thread would be useless. They always end up falling by the wayside and getting ignored.
They do and they do not. It depends on the situation and the story being developed.
