Alright, man. Are you and Keira gonna go investigate?

Oh, bugger. I somehow thought it was a preperation for shooting. My bad, busy day, but I'll try to edit asap.Ember Rekali said:[member="Mantic Dorn"] - I shot at you.

Sorry for the delay.
I've been working on a post on and off all day. Having a hard time sitting still today.
If you want to draft up a post for whenever I finally manage to drop my, the TLDR is going to be that the four Rekali-class Fighters chase after the probe, catching up to it quickly but being unable to get a visual on where their sensors are telling them the shuttle is. They ping an Interrogation Module to try and get the ship to give away its position and identity. They get nothing from the probe, because the probe lacks a transponder. But they get a faint signal coming from elsewhere, which makes them believe that they fell for a decoy.
Interrogation Modules are fairly rare... nobody really uses them. IC, they are used by police to identify ships at port and by militaries to identify their own ships. While that could probably be manually turned off... most people wouldn't think to do so. So the "ghost signature" would be your transponder making a quick broadcast before the pilot goes "oh kark" and turns it off.
Naast'ika may or may not end up blowing up a few asteroids to help him get a clear path to the real shuttle...
And the 6 ships in Naast'ika's hanger bay will launch and start moving to intercept where the Rekali Starfighters are heading.
Outside of that... my post is mainly stuff going on inside Naast'ika. Dialog and stuff.
Getting it... to not sound stupid is proving difficult. But I'll try to drop this post as soon as I can.
Naast'ika is fairly child-like. He doesn't... entirely get the gravity of the whole... murder... thing. Since he's grown up without ever having any real emotional connections, friends, family, exc... and has never experienced the loss of a loved one... He just doesn't get it.Ali Hadrix said:I've been enjoying your posts though; you seem to be handling the inner dialogue pretty well. You give the ship a personality that's not too strong, so it reads as a decent mixture between living being and soulless machine (not sure that was your intent).
Ali Hadrix said:Taking advantage of the interrogation module is a brilliant idea I'll have to remember that one. The only thing is, would a vessel designed specifically with stealth in mind even have one? And if it did, would it be tied in to the stealth systems, and thus automatically deactivated while in those systems are in use? For an answer, I'll defer to [member=Gir Quee], as it is his design. However he decides it, I'll play along. So ping away and I'll make sure my response is in corroboration with his answer.

I wanted to add about the interrogation module: If you suspect the ship you're trying to find is a stealth vessel, would you expect a ping back in the first place? I ask because not receiving a ping from the decoy would be a dead giveaway that this wasn't your target; but what if you're expecting the vessel to not be emitting signals of any kind? Would not receiving a ping still tip you off, or would you have expected it, and thus continue believing the decoy to be your target?
By the Force, I think we just started a philosophy discussion.
