Is your Skype Experience PG-13?

I tend to tone my potty mouth and generally offensive nature down, even on Skype chats. You never know who you're talking to and what their feelings are on cursing and bawdy jokes. Some people may not care, I generally try to keep it civil until I realise that the people I'm talking to are just as messed in the head as I am.

Interactions on Skype could potentially affect relationships on the board (Dude #1 comes off as bawdy and obnoxious in the perspective of Dude #2 during a Skype chat, and thus Dude #2 avoids RPing with Dude #1), but really, it would be impossible to police, so we should just let it lie.

Weird... my Skype experience is PG-13. I have never seen anyone talking non-PG-13 stuff there or in cae I have, I have just considered it as a natural thing. Which is still kind of weird, because IRL I only talk PG-13 stuff.

A) Sometimes... depends on the mood... and the amount of alcohol consumed by both writers.
B)Sometimes, there are some things that SHOULDN'T be RP'd PG-13... like a good torture scene... or other... unsavoury things.
C) Never. Skype is usually used for Non-PG things, or much more commonly, back stories and other events between two or three writers, that is not necessary for the board but important for the writers. It does, in my experience, breed quicker roleplays, as posts are more direct and less caught up in descriptions and more on moving the story quickly. A good chat antic session can accomplish in a few hours what days or weeks of posting might have taken.

Wicked Witch of Schwartzweld
1. Depends on who its with. Most of faction threads are pretty decent (compared to my drinking groups and the like).
2. 'cos drunken behavior and sober behavior is different. There may be some language not appropriate for kids (so I've heard...) but that's okay.
3. It doesn't effect the board rating at all. There's plotting there so that's really the only effect it has.

Me? PG-13? *laughs*

Really, though. It depends on the person/people I'm chatting with. I can usually tell when it is and is not okay to be 'myself', because in all honesty, I'm an utterly lewd jerkface-dirtbag. And I still type as error-free drunk as I do sober, and I'm not any different drunk from sober. So you won't know unless I tell you. ;)

I personally don't think it has an effect on the board. We're all (hopefully) mature enough to keep things separate that should be separate, as per the BR&O's.

Of course, Miss @[member="Tamara"] ... I'm Canadian... Our version of PG-13 is like... RATED R south of the border.

They couldn't handle our "Restricted" or higher...

No.

I don't want it to be.

No because I avoid faction chats.

To begin. Skype is an unmoderated experience and is not affiliated with this website. Skype is not IC or OOC. Skype is IRL.

That said, I understand there are certain promoted 'Chat Rooms' that are often used by our member base and faction teams. So I wanted to beg a few questions of you,

Answers, thoughts, and discussion welcome. Thanks.

Post number 1234. Nice.

Anyway...

1. No
2. Why should it be questioned?
3. Doesn't bother me nor should it bother everyone else. It's bloody Skype.
