"The Chiss special forces, you only told me you were in the military, if that was the case I would have gone much harder on you when we trained", she replied, getting into a balanced stance before, "we can talk about it later now just focus on getting us inside". Kurneai counted down to three using her figure before calling upon the force to make the Chiss fly into the air, keeping a steady over as he went to work the shields, getting them down rather quickly, herself launching up with a force push, making way into the cramped air vents. She gave once last glance outfit before slowly crawling in, staying as silent as possible with each movement, following Rex through the vents the sound of music echoing inside the confined metal corridors.

Soon the two reached a more open area, a sort of master vent for the main room, music blasting out and the sound of what she assumed to be a show man talking out loud, commenting on some of the people down there, and bow was that a strange site. "Those, if I am not mistaken Ysalamiri creatures that project a small force neutral bubble, something about them developing it to deal with force sensitive predators, basically the cancel out ones connection to the force, similar to void stone". Would explain why she was unable to sense those who had been dragged inside, though Rex was right there were a few force signatures no within the complex, probably others that had escaped the ambush from earlier.

"If we want to get our friends out we need to silence those little lizards, though at the same time I would rather not alert the entire building to our presence by blinding shooting at them from up here, after all they may have more in stock, or flood the place with that knock out gas". Again, a tricky situation, hostage stuff not really being a thing for Kurenai, usually it being the other way around and with dangerous criminals and enemy soldiers, let along one on this scale. "Change of plans, combat with the enemy is authorized, but we must not let them see us, can also use those codes you picked up to get us around the place, first stop, the security room, disable their eyes in the sky".

NPC: Operation Darkstar "Obsidian Ops - Oops"

Both of us quickly moved through the hall. Taking quick and careful steps as we closed in on the bodies that were being suspended through the force. Getting there first, I reached for the first dead body. Grabbing it and releasing the force from it, I slowly brought the body to the floor. My vision darting all around me. My eyes taking quick snapshots around to confirm that we were alone. Once that was done, I reached over and grabbed the second body. Slowly lowering him as well. Nimma was already behind me, and she was at the door. Yes, there was the main door here that had opened, but it led to a security room. We didn't dare walk in for fear of cameras or otherwise.

She was attempting to slice into the main frame through the outside door panel. From there, she could turn off the cameras and sensors within the room. However, it was going to take some time. Perfect. While I reached out and gingerly plucked the shard of the visor from the air, placing them gently into my other hand, I spoke to the rest of the group. Once more, my helmet coming in handy with emitting no sound at all.

"Fenrir, take topside with Boomer and Spark. Boomer, set up your explosives so that the explosion is controlled. We don't want any of our own guys injured. Spark, make sure that you have all of the flashbangs ready. Even if we hit our own guys, it will give you time to grab them with the other teams."
"10-4"
"Sir"
"Been ready."
"Move your asses then."

I got no retort or call backs from them. When I had finished with gathering the shards of glass, I then slid them into one of the pockets of the dead men. They can hold onto their own glass. I didn't need trash. Nimma was working diligently with her job. Her fingers flying over the datapad as she and the spider were attempting to crack open this door. I holstered my pistol and retrieved it for the rifle. Holding it aloft along the hall, watching both sides should anyone come around the corner. Because if I even saw one person, I was going to shoot first, ask questions later.

Zyri had no idea about the Harch-concocted plans. She only knew they were giant spiders on the planet, and for someone with a touch of arachnophobia, the Canto Chameleon didn’t feel like getting too close to one. In fact, she only happened to be on Secundus Ando for another job. Zyrias caught wind of the word “speed dating” and “reality show” and wandered to the auditorium where this whole shindig was going on chatting with the bouncer who stood watch outside of a door.

“Confederate Love?” she asked one of the Harch’s henchman - not a spider thankfully. “Count me in. Will this be broadcast on the holonet? Is there a stipend for participating?” Meet-ups with the opposite sex or same sex if you were so inclined were a great place to grift.

“Sure, sure all of that will be explained when you get there. Right through that entrance, love. Hope you like handcuffs.”

“Sounds kinky,” she said, assuming the bouncer was joking.

As she walked a corridor which opened into an auditorium of some sort, the hair on her neck stood momentarily, a wary prickle that was quickly gone once Zyri saw the posh interior. Luckily she’d missed the whole announcement about people dying and had no fething clue this was a sinister game cooked up by the arachnids.

An attendant helpfully eased Zyrias into a pair of handcuffs, which she knew how to get out of, but thinking it was all part of the game, she settled into her chair quite calmly. However, the restraints would make it more difficult to steal from whoever would be sitting across from her.

“Where’s my date?”

“Be patient, little one,” hissed the skinny Harch attendant as he scuttled off.

Wow, a droid who knew the fastest way to The Slave’s heart; flattery. If not for his rigid linguistic programming, he could've sworn that BX-25233 was just Cybele in disguise; but the lack of actual flirting or passive teases at least kept him grounded. A few more drinks, and that line might blur a bit however.

To be honest, I usually just drink too much and wake up courted.”, he simply shrugged; unsure what dating a droid would be like. Afterall, he had shot down his battlecruiser multiple times despite being heavily under the influence.

Eh, as far as the dress goes I couldn't tell you. I’m assuming they thought I would look better in it…”, he said glancing down to the faint rhinestones that seemed to shimmer of it.

They were probably right.”, he said with a laugh.

Alright, BX, what sort of hardware do you have inside? I’ve helped design a few droids myself, so color me curious.”, he spoke as his eyes became transfixed on the robot across the table from him. Is this how you flirted with droids?

The other woman was talking about them being kidnapped, imprisoned and playing a game, Ysalamari negating their connection to the Force. Most of this Katrine already knew but she didn't understand why the other woman was sounding worse and worse the more she spoke. "Yeah. How is this a game?" It definitely looked like no game Katrine had ever noticed so she was going to need some help understanding.

She'd almost asked again if the woman across from her was alright when the answer came, and most negative it was. Ahani, finally a name she could use though Katrine didn't actually get a chance to say something to do that as Ahani said she smelled like a wolf, making the blonde look at her funny. Usually, only Lupines could tell another Lupine with ease and she definitely didn't feel like one. Besides, the man had said Ahani was over eight hundred, Lupines usually lived to the latter half of the century.

Ahani said Van-Derveld. Katrine blinked once, twice and kept blinking a few more times as she processed what she was told. Him... for a few centuries, making her blink again. Even as the woman had progressed about asking about her day, Katrine couldn't. "Who?" She spat out without thinking. "There isn't that many of us, and it's pretty much the same thing nowadays, Lupine and Van-Derveld," Katrine continued, this time keeping her voice a little more down.

"Anything I can do to help?" She went back to the first answer, though there wasn't too much she could do without her Powers or spells. In fact, the only thing Katrine could do is change into her natural form and that somehow didn't seem like it was going to help her much right now.

Her hand shot up just after Ahani asked about freaks. "Yeah, can we have a couple of drinks here. Something blue and tasty please!" Her voice rose a little, for to actually be heard between the other voices. In the back, away from the light, someone certainly shuffled. Even if her hearing was on par to what it could have been in her lupine form, she heard the movement well enough.

"Give a show? you are much to into this Bane", yes way to into this, for a dreaded Sith Lord to sudden be all romantic like, it was just far too odd. The only way this would make sense was if the man had a secret fetish and used this opportunity to show case it, of the Sith was trying to put on a act and wait for an opportune time to escape, though if the latter was true Chikako had no idea if her dance partner was using some type of code. For force sake she was only 17 with memory loss, how would she know any secret codes or be able to pick up on certain hint, Daxton was simply asking to much.

"Hmm well I did take dancing lessons when younger so yes I have some experience in that field, but you yourself a quite skilled in their field, feels less like I am dancing and more being lead by your movements". It made logical sense, the Zabrak was much bigger, taller and stronger then herself, all Chikako did during the dance was use her martial arts training to see what his next move was and react in unity with it allowing the dance to flow... in a sense it was more a duel then anything else on her end.

Kurenai called the creatures Ysalamiri. Some kind of creatures that could stop the force he had heard about them, but only in passing. Then she mentioned a void crystal, he had never heard of them before, he would have to do some more research. The music still echoing thru the air vents they were in. Then she said we had to silence them "I know nothing about these creatures how am I supposed to silence them?" He asked. Then she mentioned the potential for more knock out gas or other things. Then she said change of plans we are heading to the security room and weapons free but keep it silent and not be seen. Rex nods he has done this type of mission before, but the last time he did was .... No he had to focus on now he could face his past later.

Quietly lowering himself out of the vent he sees two guards in this room, and the security controls that they are looking at. Using his stealth training he quietly snaps both the guards necks. Looking at the controls he sees someone is trying to hack the door to get in, feeling a strange presence outside the door that he recognizes. Before opening the door he taps his comm link on so Kurenai can hear what is going on. Opening it from the inside, He stands to the side saying "Who is it friend or foe?" He stands there and waits for an answer, readying his lightsabre all the while just in case it is a foe

Posts Left Before Force Null Character Death: 7

“Misery and romantic discomfort are hilarious fun to the ones watching, kiddo. Who said the game was for our benefit, and not theirs?” Ahani wheezed and stuttered in another breath. So the girl was a Van-Derveld. There were few relations left to the Lupines she knew of old, yet for once Ahani’s instincts hadn’t led her to tapping on a Cornelian and going ‘You’re from Cato Nemoidia, ain’tcha? EEH? I get it right? Huh? Huuuuuuuh!?’

The lack of the Force brought a hidden clarity to Ahani’s befuddled mind. Without a constant drone in her head, the threads cleared and Ahani was left with nothing but a sense of impendingly short mortality, and the worst headache known to man, woman, androgyne or beast. “Man named Ket. Used to bash each other around a bunch, duke it out, throw down and… aw, those were the days. Last time I saw him was a few years ago on Sabarene. Fought so hard and hot we turned sand into glass…”

The girl wanted to help? That was yet another first.

“Kill the lizards…” Ahani’s eyes perked upward, at the swinging tail of one of the lazy beasts. “Whatcha think k-khhh… keeps a person alive so long, eh?”

Slapping the table repeatedly with a palm, the elder Echani took the offered flask from [member="Vulkanus"], sucked down a long drag and leaned back in her chair. “Thanks, tall, cocoa and gorgeous… aaahhh, there it is… the burn. Any chance anyone can tell how many guards there are, and what defences are keeping us from walking away?”

The liquor poured into her stomach, radiating outward in a last bit of warmth. A shuffling sound came with increased proximity, and a couple of drinks being added to the table. Ahani fought with the straw, trying to get it into her uncoordinated mouth. Somewhere Ahani thought she heard the voices of [member="Darth Metus"] and [member="Srina Talon"]. Craning her eyes into the dim, Ahani tried to get up and look around, to catch attention, or see if the desires of her fading mind were putting her into one last grand hallucination.

“Looks like one part hostage, one part uncanny fight… unless we all decide to play along… date fast or whatever it’s supposed to be… speed dating… In my day, we wanted dates to last a while. Wasn’t couth for a date to snap his or her fingers and be finished… huh… so this is what it’s like…”

Katrine kept looking at the woman as she talked about misery and romantic discomfort and how they were hilarious to the ones watching. She didn't understand. The game was for their benefit, whoever they were and not for the ones participating. "How is that entertaining?" Katrine asked without thinking.

Man named Ket, Ahani revealed, making the blonde blink again. "You know my Father," she lit up as she spoke, not expecting it at all. There were other Van-Dervelds that lived before, including her Uncles she'd never met or Grandfather she hadn't met either but she knew she didn't like him one single bit. No, it was none of them, it was her Father of all Lupines.

Kill the lizards? She looked up as Ahani did, looking up at the Ysalamari. Their presence was hurting her so much, Katrine pieced together. "I can't jump high enough with the Force," she pointed out quietly before her eyes moved around. "If I had something sharp and a moment, I could try." Nothing around her seemed sharp enough to act as a projectile. Katrine had killed Ysalamari before but they weren't up high like this. If she could get something, she could give it again. Witches didn't teach her for nothing how to hunt.

Sapphire gaze focused back on Ahani as she noticed her take a small flask from [member="Vulkanus"], whom the woman called tall, cocoa and gorgeous before she'd taken a sip. Ahani continued to talk after that, introducing the words like speed dating and proceeding to discuss the duration of dates. Katrine had heard of dating from Karna and she'd found it to be a pointless action altogether. "What's speed dating?" The Lupine asked without putting much thought into it. "I've heard what dating means. It's a pointless action. Speed dating sounds even stupider."

Two tall glass of a blue liquid were suddenly placed on their table, making Katrine look up to notice the same creature as the man who kept talking about them. He didn't matter too much when she noticed something at his waist. "Hey! You want something else while our waiter is here?" Katrine suddenly perks up as she realized it was a corkscrew opener, the waiter glancing at her before he looked at Ahani. Katrine leaned to the table, as if reaching for the glass before she snatched up the serving tool of his belt, lowering that hand under the table as she actually did reach for the blue drink and sniffed it slightly, taking a tiny sip before she put it back on the table, sapphire gaze focused on the other woman with the tiniest smile.

“Did you not hear the announcement? Our brothers and sisters lives depend on keeping them distracted.” With a smooth pull he drew her close so that they were looking at each others eyes. “We need to buy time, hopefully not all of us got caught and hope they are mounting a rescue effort.”

Seemingly from out of nowhere he drew a thornless rose and placed the stem between his lips as he continued to lead his partner. He hoped that the others would get the hint and join them on the dance floor. If everyone was dancing it would harder for the guards and surveillance to track them all.

"I can inform you as we go along, but a well-placed bullet usually does the trick but now we must go". With a plan in tow the two went to work, silently slipping out from the vents and into the security room, herself letting Rex go ahead as she would act as a rear guard keeping an eye out for any possible patrols guards that may be in a neighbouring room. Though wanting to lay a few trip mines and other devices down she was not going to risk being caught, not yet anyways, once things did get messing it would be bye bye to stealth mode and full on commando combat time.

Suddenly heard necks snapping, glancing behind to see Rex kill a few guards, herself proceeding to give small head tilt at the Chiss, one of slightly 'really' and disappointment. They would not get anything out of killing people just doing their job, could make for bad press once this was over, after all they had to take control over this planet, she did want an actual terrorist threat to break out over the fact they murdered a few people.

That was not all though, some strange gut instinct that the two would not be alone for long, but at the same time a feeling that those on the other side of the door controls where not enemies, obvious by the door being hacked. She gave a slight not to Rex, keeping her pistol trained on the door as it came open, revealing a woman and a man, "You must be [member="Zephyr Carrick"] if I am not mistaken, you slip away from the gas too, or just joined the party recently"? She replied, still keeping the gun trained on him.

While in the middle of slicing the door open, It opened on its own. Nimma dropped her tablet for her sidearm, while I spun around with my own weapon. Seeing two other people there, A chiss from the looks of it, and another agent in armor. Nimma had the Chiss trained with her sights. Prepared to fire as soon as I did. We were about to speak when the other agent spoke up. Asking me by name. I assumed she was part of the Confederacy if she knew me by name. Let alone from looking at me. The only other people who knew me by name were my family, the Verd clan, and some of the various people within the Faction.

I brought my chin up from the stock of the weapon. Slowly lowering the barrel while seeing that another gun was trained on me. I raised my left hand to show that the gun was the only thing I had on me at the moment. Well, at least anything that could be potentially used as a threat to her. I could feel the both of them through the force, but I just had to ask,

"Yes,To whom am I speaking with, and how do you presume my name?"

I brought my rifle down to deescalate the situation. No need to shoot up one another with no need for it. Even then, I reached out with a hand to Nimma since she couldn't see me from behind her. Tapping her arm to lower the weapon. She holstered it silently and then started to pick up her datapad and was backing out of the system.

"Filtration system in the helmet, and I am immune to pheromones, Zeltron blood helps."

No need to lie to the woman. We were on the same team right?

Looking at both Kurenai and Zephyr, "This is going to take maybe another 10 mins or so for me to get in, I'm sorry I can't go any faster." Then looking around, finding a keycard on one of the dead bodies, "You can get yourselves into the armory though, most likely where they will be holding everyone's arms and armor." "I will dead lock the door once you are gone, they won't be getting thru to I decide to open it again." Then looking at the monitors "is that Muad? and those other two look familiar" waving Kurenai over "Have a look, I will see if I can get them thru for a while, no promises though it will still take me some time"

Scherezade, in an attempt to overcome the rising panic, began to scan her surroundings. Table. Okay, she knew what a table was. How do deal with it. Audience. Nope nope nope, she turned her gaze away from them. She did not need to see so many people in front of her, looking at her, judging her. Audience was bad. Chair. She was sitting on one. Lights. She hated the lights. Did they have to be so bright?

Trying to keep her eyes safe, she glanced forward - and her gaze fell on a droid. In a dress. Barry, according to the announcer. Barry? Okay. Medical droid. Check.

And then the droid spoke.

"I didn't know droids had genders assigned. Or chosen," Scherezade mumbled, her cheeks reddening. It was definitely not a lovely night. "They took my weapons away. I don't suppose you have any installed on you so we could shoot our way out?"

The woman across from her quickly got to business asking questions. Luckily they were easy ones, anything more complicated and 2BC would be hard pressed to answer. Apparently this was The Maiden, and the outfit was definetly fitting of that title. To be completely honest it made 2B a little uncomfortable, or maybe it was her own incredibly small dress. If she was able to check the tag she would find that it was in fact made for human children between the ages of 6 and 10, as in, far too small.

"Well it really depends on the droid, some are all programmed to be one gender, others get randomly assigned at the factory, others choose for themselves, and yet others have none at all. Its all in the programming." She said somewhat nervously, stuttering a few times in the process

Next she responded to the next question.

"I have none sadly, and even if I was I am not progammed for combat. At most I have a few sedatives in my auto-injectors but they seem to have been removed."

2B sped up her nervous tapping, her scans showed even more contamination than she had realized, even the tables were covered in pathogens. This was a mess if she had ever seen one.

"Now the one thing I wish to know is where you got this maiden name, I have the feeling it is a false construct of the Harch."

While Barry spoke, Scherezade's eyes danced around, trying to learn what she could from her surroundings. There was something there that had cut off her connection from the Force, so she couldn't rely on her powers to make good of the situation. This was exactly what Lord Wolfe had spoken about, that night, several weeks ago. Take the powers away, what did you have left? A girl and a woman-droid wearing dresses you coudln't do much while wearing.

"They're making fun of me because I've never kissed before," she answered the last question. There was no other reason. "I can't figure out how they knew that, though. Their intel levels are a cause of concern. If they can gather so much personal information on individuals, imagine what state secrets these assholes have on different planets?"

It warranted some thought. But right now, Scherezade's mind drew a blank. The problem was that most of her energy had been filled into her training with the Force, and some abilities without it. But even as a Force User, she didn't amount to much. She was too green, too inexperienced, too young. Two months of being alive was hardly enough. There was still much she didn't understand. But maybe they had drugged her or something, because the only question on her mind right there and then was "Why are you Barry?"

Alden opens his eyes slowly, looking out from the crack in either direction. He only vaguely remembered the events leading up to his capture but he had been shot full of some kind of tranquilizer. His physiology usually burned through such things rather quickly but they'd used a lot. His head was actually throbbing from the amount of drug that had been placed in his system which was annoying.

Looking from side to side, he doesn't move or lift his head to give away he is awake yet. It only takes him a few minutes to deduce what is going on, also that he is wearing a dress. Probably because of the number of weapons and armor they'd had to strip from him, they'd wanted to be safe and get everything. His eyes track to the bonds that are holding him in place. The bands around his wrists were quite tight but he was fairly certain that if he collapsed the bones in his hand he could escape. It was a contortionist trick that he'd been forced to learn when he was young.

Finally looking up he can see his status is marked as known, Alden Kyr'Nau Alor of House Naak. Made sense, he didn't really hide is identity after all. Still, he was curious as to just what would happen before he got out and the inevitable happened.

The Harch seemed to know more than they were letting on, maybe this was all a ruse. She was not programmed to calculate such things, but it was a distinct possiblity, knowing that much information about a person, information as specific as the fact that they had never kissed anyone, that was hard to come by.

"I do not know how they came up with that name. My official designation is IMD-2BC, however most organics prefer to call me 2B or 2BC for simplicity. I never had the luxury of the sentimental nicknames other droids seem to acquire." She said kind of looking down at her own lap, kind of in a sad manner. She then moved up to look The Maiden in the eyes for the first time.

"I do not know where they conjured the name Barry, my serial number and assigned programming gender are listed on the serial plate located on the back of my head. Though I do appreciate the thought, it is misplaced. As for how they acquired the information, they are either trying to present themselves as clueless, or they are really good at guessing."

This was the first organic she had spoken to in a very long time that she felt at the very least comfortable around, normally around organics she was a mess, this one was different. They seemed just as uncomfortable in their own skin as she felt, that took a very special breed of person.

Why can’t I feel anything?

In that moment, the wrath of the Master ebbed ever so slightly. Just the chime of his Apprentice’s voice - albeit distressed - was enough to make Darth Metus see beyond his anger. She was alive. She was okay. They could figure a way out of this. A heavy exhale escaped Darth Metus’ lips as the alabaster woman came about; and he soon realized that the Echani had never before been exposed to the godsdamn lizards before. ”Ysalamir.” he breathed, answering her question behind grit teeth. ”They are lizards capable of projecting fields that prevent the Force from being used.”

While he spoke, his eyes followed Srina’s around the room. The Harch “host” was comfortable. Too comfortable. He had the best and brightest of the Confederacy within his cage, playing his game...but what was his end game? Did he think that he would get out of this alive? Did he think that, if they all were to perish or be harmed, that this world would be spared? What was the point here? But, as he saw his comrades all around, it became very evident that one thing was happening. They were doing what they had to in order to survive. Even if that meant playing along.

Parting his lips to speak, the Sith paused when he saw her.

[member="Ahani Najwa"].

”No. She can’t be here.” he said. Haste gripped him - he placed his hands upon the table as if to stand...but angry jolts soon coursed through his veins. ”Chit!” he seethed, settling back down in his seat. He shot the Harch a murderous glare, jutting his chin in the direction of the fading woman. ”The Force keeps her alive, being in here is kil-”

Another jolt.

Silence.

”Srina…”

”Leather...isn't really my think you know. But you...You look beautiful.”

Although he did not say it aloud, the verdict was very clear. They had to do whatever it took to survive. And pray that there was a way out of here that didn’t see any of them dead.

The Harch looked at his wrist, checking his invisible watch, and he tapped the furry spot before getting the attention of the crowd again. Lights flashed, and the holo-screens went wild, and sparkling bits of paper floated down from the ceiling as the lights began to dim. “Citizens of Secundus Ando…”, he announced slowly, “The time has come—”

“—To shake things up!!”

Brightness flooded the arena and holographic couples, based on the contestants of course, danced through the air near the nosebleed seats. Mandibles clicked, imitating the snapping of fingers, and the less spidery citizens filled the gaps with ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ from the ‘magical' display. Vendors started making their rounds, offering porg on a stick, fizzy honey melon drinks, and or dangleberry icecreams. In the case of the Harch, they mostly snubbed the more popular treats, and went for packets of dry grilled black ants, or for those with a sweet tooth, bellberry wrapped scorpion suckers.

“Our contestants will now trade in accordance with the pictures displayed overhead. Once we are settled, we begin anew, but this time we have a topic of choice! Share with each other this: Your idea of a perfect date!”

The host seemed to focus a little bit on the angry dreadlocked one when he began yelling something that didn’t seem to be in accordance with their plans. Briefly, he paused, and spoke something that the microphone did not catch, before his beady eyes returned to [member="Ahani Najwa"], the Ancient One. Were the Spiverelda aware of this woman’s condition? If the words of the Sith Lord proved true, and she continued to deteriorate, they would deal with it.
