Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
Romi Jade Romi Jade

The trial continued... the testimony was something she had known in places but still had not expected. The reflection there as she was able to get different angles at least and some of it was new to her... but she still supported ROmi. Sith poison could be dangerous and tricky to get rid of. Usually needing a massive jolt to the mind or body... best case scenario killing someone close to you... or trying to drop a building on them can do it. THe jedi master sat there with some sympathy remembering another incident. There had been a few with some other jedi or even some sith. who were influenced by such. Never good or easy. "Lets have a little hope that things remain this smooth."

"Been hearing all sorts of rumors about you running this scheme around most Jedi-related activities lately, you know." She flashed a knowing smile. A fixer and keeper of information never truly retired. "Twenty on a mention of the Outer Rim Co-"

And there Romi went and mentioned it. Damn. A single voice cheered in the back before clearing their throat in embarrassment.

"I'd bet on there being some stupid outburst in the courtroom given the tension, buuuut I also like it when the odds aren't 1-for-1."

"Jedi-related activities. Truly I am the propane accessories of the Jedi-watching ecosystem." Jerec glanced both ways simultaneously, an Ithorian trick, and fished a lightsaber out of his coat. "Here, have a party favor. Beat up a Jedi on Bogden. Things are getting ugly, might want a glow stick."

While the cops outside had been distracted, one group had managed to get close enough to the building to release a small, small droid from their person. One designed after much larger crab droids used by the ancient CIS.

At this point, Laertia's agitators grew more aggressive in the crowd, and the crowd outside degenerated into a frenzy, until it seemed like protestors could genuinely storm the building. Laertia's agents had made sure to stuff Pantoran Immigrants in the crowd who had lost family to the Sith. The Police had to start fighting them back.

Jerec was briefly inundated with people attempting to collect on bets for SECURITY RIOT. As the situation escalated, he determined that leaving was, on balance, wise.

"I'm out," he said to Delila Castillon Delila Castillon and Amea Virou Amea Virou over the noise, and started shoving his way away from the center thereof.

Son of a b...

How was she going to collect on her drinks and security riot winnings now?!

Oh well, there were more important things, like getting out of the fray before getting caught in the riot herself. Already spent enough credits on bets, she didn't need to waste money on bail either.

Dells supposed she would see Jerec soon enough when the trial resumed and bets began anew.

Coruscant – NJO Cafeteria

Jade v. Pantora had taken her by surprise. Who knew that the Romi Jade Romi Jade had committed such crimes? When they'd occurred, Cora had been far too young to understand the concept of statue of limitations. Maybe she hadn't even been born yet – the news coverage kept her glued to the holoscreen as she picked at her serving of nuna casserole, too absorbed to try and math it all out.

A particular line of questioning regarding one Coren Starchaser Coren Starchaser had her rapt attention.

For the first time since she'd sat down, Cora tore her eyes from the screen and whipped out her datapad, furiously scribbling notes as fast as Jade could speak them.

Synergy, connection…comrades-at-arms found solace in eachothegt…each other…respite between chaotic battles. Maybe second love interest, Sith? Coren finds cure for poison…

Quotes blended into ideas for Lady Velvet's next draft, some more inane than others. She'd sort out the details later.
