Jurassic Kingdom - SJO Dom of the New Plympto Hex

New Plympto - The backwater of the Core.

Despite sharing the same region as planets like Corellia, Coruscant, and Duro, for thousands of years New Plympto has been an isolated system unto its own, swaying between larger groups as they came and went, often left to its own devices due to a lack of importance. The native Nosaurians didn’t mind, however. Culturally isolationist, there was little care when the Metal Lords claimed dominion over the system, as the droids respected their preference to remain out of galactic affairs. In fact they welcomed the trade boon that having an affiliated company, EODD, brought with it. The brief time under Droid control warmed the native government to working with outsiders, and when the Droids moved on, and Alderaan’s coalition made the offer, New Plympto was prepared to enter a whole new world in working with others.

That preparation was put to the test when the Coalition fell to the Sith, and the people of New Plympto finally brought their own to fight for others. While the planet was untouched by the Sith aggression, they were forced to grow in order to fit the new order of the Galaxy, forced to accept help from outsiders and give help when asked. When the Silver Jedi eventually came to offer aid, bringing the Nosaurians under their protection at the suggestion of a wookiee whose influence with the local government had grown in recent years, all but the strictest traditionalists and isolationists amongst the leaders agreed. And that alliance would be called to action much sooner than later.

Objective 1: Smugglers

Suspicion of an active animal trafficking ring on the planet had been present for some time amongst those who watched over the wilds, but it was proven when a Cairsus dragon(http://starwarsrp.net/topic/134397-cairsus-dragon/#entry1844561) was observed in the private collection of a powerful crime boss. With New Plympto as their only known habitat, the New Plympto Wildlife Protection Service(http://starwarsrp.net/topic/137617-new-plympto-wildlife-protection-service/) was put on alert and began their search for poachers. What had been a fruitless search for several months however recently turned up results when a member of the Anakkona Syndicate(http://starwarsrp.net/topic/137616-anakkona-syndicate/), a dangerous group of animal traffickers, was apprehended in the capital city. Despite holding out specifics, the criminal accidentally let slip that they were in fact present in the Hajial Chase(https://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Hajial_Chase), which was a start, though still a daunting task due to the sheer size and density of the woodlands. Early searches however have turned up sensor jamming technology, thus giving authorities at least a place to begin searching

The objective here is simple: Three groups will go into the woods with NPWPS rangers as guides to entrap the poachers and apprehend them if possible. There are dangers in the woods, however, not just from the muscle with these poachers but the native creatures themselves. Participants will begin already out in the forest on their routes.

Objective 2: The Missing Child

Two days ago a young child on vacation with his parents went missing near Half-Axe Pass(https://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Half-Axe_Pass), with the NPWPS rangers taking quick action to begin a search and rescue effort. With time already lost the chances of finding him alive are looking slim as the search goes on, but there’s always hope for a happy ending. A single group will join the search effort, but be warned, while there are no poachers here to worry about, the local creatures are always a danger. And there are other things that lurk far more dangerous.

Participants will meet up at the Half-Axe Ranger Station to be briefed on the effort so far before joining with the search proper.

Nubia - Breadbasket of the Core

The once tranquil world has devolved into a warzone as two factions fight fiercely for its future. On one side is the Commonwealth, a belligerent military junta with imperial aspirations for the Core. On the other side is the Nubian branch of the Rebel Alliance, fighting to restore the old democratic government and turn the planet away from costly military adventurism. To finally turn the tide, the Rebel Alliance contacts the Silver Jedi Order for assistance. Finding the Commonwealth a threat to the stability of the Core and its allies at New Plympto, the SJO deploys elite strike teams of Special Operation units, lead by members of the Silver Shadows.

Objective 3: Operation Daybreak

Traveling by stealth ships, the strike teams will skirt past the orbiting Commonwealth home fleet to quietly insert into the capital of Nuba City during nighttime. From there, they will make their way to the government center to cripple the Commonwealth’s central command and control capabilities ahead of an assault by the Rebel Alliance.

Strike teams will begin on board the stealth ship Harlequin with Rebel Agent Simona Campos for the briefing and insertion.

BYOO

New Plympto’s wildlands are vast, with ripe opportunities for exploration and hunting(within the law and with proper documentation, of course). The capital city of Phemiss(https://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Phemiss) isn’t large, but there’s much to do there for one looking for trouble. And of course the ex-Imperial planet of Loronar is nearby, as the Duro system, with both offering a plethora of opportunities for the corporate-minded.

((Special Thanks to [member="Errreembuhr"] for writing the New Plympto intro and objectives, and [member="Celeste Rigel"] for a lovely header.))

Objective 2: Find the missing child

Reggie arrived at Half-Axe to be briefed on the situation, his worry growing as time went by. He was in a rush to find the missing child and return them to their parents. Reggie may not be a parent himself, but he can imagine how worried they are. Not only that, but the child could be in grave danger and terrified. If he had time, he would go ask the parents some questions. Hopefully, the briefing would give him all the information he needed.

Reggie had already put his focus on the task at hand and wouldn't allow himself to rest until the child was found. His conscious had already made a promise, and now he would do what he could in their search.

The young Padawan waited for the briefing to begin.

Objective: BYOO (Family return)

For decades now, Jessica has left Loronar, without even wondering what her family was up to. They would be surprised to see Jessica as a Jedi Master in person; to family, nothing would beat actually seeing a Jedi in person, over simply hearing about a relative in the media. Presumably some siblings, half-siblings, and their children thereof. For the first time in her life, she had little Ziana, about 2-3 years old, or so, travel with her without the mother that actually takes care of her on frigid Glyss. In fact, one of her half-brothers also lived there, too. The rest of the family, however, she knew that at least some of them would actually want her to show at least one or two of the more exotic powers in use. The more exotic, the better to those people, but others knew better than to ask a space witch to perform some magic as some sort of parlor trick. Plus she already did that on a few occasions, such as Caluula, Zeltros, to name the uses of Force-light where she turned herself into a phosphorescent body. Before the family reunion began, her half-brother bring Ziana in tow.

"Ah, Highness, I'm your half-brother living on Glyss, back to see the rest of our family, along with little Ziana here"

"Mama? Mama!" Ziana exclaimed, upon seeing Jessica for the first time in over a year.

"I'm so happy to see you both here: I hope Glyss isn't too cold to you"

Drystan stood in the Harlequin's briefing room, flipping through pictures of Nubia City, the Capital of Nubia. The vibrant colors & shifting, living pictures brought the atmosphere of the city into stark relief. Very soon, the Jedi Shadows, alongside a number of surgical strike assets, would be infiltrating & engaging the Commonwealth. Below, night was only just beginning to fall...

She was already prepared; dressed in a black flightsuit, armed & armored, and ready for battle. All that remained was to meet the rest of the team...

This world was something unexpected as Jesse moved, she had been here once before but now she had a chance to really see it as she exited the ship and wore the ambassadors robes of the jedi. A look on her face when she was walking as it gleamed golden and low cut. Her hair swaying to the sides while she walked. Her robes leaving her shoulders exposed as she had her aurabesh tattoo on display, a lightsaber on her hip while she moved around to see some. She stretched out walking a little faster as she looked around and the idea of dinosaurs or anything that they might be able to find was more interesting to her. She wanted to see about it before waiting to see who else would be around.

The flight towards Nubia was interesting in itself. She had prepared with briefings and the like of the planet and its government system. Allyson had familiarized herself with the computer systems and security they had running through the capital city. Arriving a few minutes before the others, she parked her rear end in one of the seats and crossed her legs casually while wearing the power suit her cousin had designed specifically for her and her mechu deru skills.

As she waited for the others, she glanced towards Simona and smirked then casually returned her attention to the holo screen in front of her. Her wrist mounted holo device was her entertainment till the meeting started.

Fingers danced across what others would see as mid air, but to the Corellian a small game would be playing as she built small bases and attempted to take out invading infantry. She was slightly addicted to the tower game, but it was good break from her typical giant robots. Musing over the game, she bounced her foot to the rhythm of a song she had trapped in her head.

She was a knight now, supposed to be relaxed and calm, always in control of the situation but...there were giant freaking lizards traipsing all over the planet. They had been all over the briefing materials that they were given on their way to the planet, actual giant lizards. It was taking most of her control not to bounce up and down on her seat on the way down to the planet. They had plans to meet up with the ranger service who had managed to zero down on the rough location of the smugglers. But it was still a huge area to travel, so they'd called in the Silver Jedi to help them out. The pink-haired Jedi bit her lip as she stretched up, unbuckling her harness as she headed for the door. Traipsing through the outside wasn't what she'd normally do, but to help out the rangers, it seemed like the least the Jedi could do. Besides...if she was honest, she was more than a little excited to actually get out on the ground.

Objective: The Missing Child

Solving kidnappings wasn't usually Ciana's thing as a Doctor within the Silver Circle, but this was a special case. Authorities were reaching the end end of the small window of finding the child alive, amid a jungle world with all sorts of hostile wildlife. In fact, she had been in the area already, studying local flora for medicinal qualities. While not nearly as knowledgeable as locals, she was somewhat familiar with the space to start - better than nothing.

Punctual as always, the young doctor was one of the first to arrive at the station, coming across Mr. Faayare. She instantly the Padawan assisting the Silver Circle in treating sick refugees from the Dac, all afflicted with a deadly weaponized virus.

"Mr. Faayre, hello!" she greeted, offering a small wave. "It's a shame to be brought together by such unfortunate circumstances, but it's nice to see you again all the same. How have you been?"

Hyonu patted his hair down as he realized the humidity caused it to have a mind of its own. The doctor who always liked to look as pristine as possible was in quite the predicament. Cursing under his breath, he could fathom the thought as to why he was being summoned to this place. He had precious work to cover, yet he was here looking for a child who was probably devoured by a Bantha. Exhaling, he patted down his hair and shoved a huttball cap on it, at least then no one would know his hair was a mess.

With that issue taken care of, his mind focused on the child. Their window to find him save was closing and he figured if the kid was found alive his best bet for survival would be the Silver Circle. It was time to put the scientist hat away and be a doctor. Shaking away any old memories of caring for the doomed children of Seoul, he focused on the case in front of him.

At least there was a chance with this one.

Hyonu wandered into the Ranger hut while he heard the voice of a familiar figure. Clearing his throat, he wandered up to Reggie and Dr. Teigra. “Seems its not just the two of you who meet in unpleasant situations. Reggie.” The surly doctor nodded towards the padawan, “Dr. Teigra, did your shuttle just land?” The Doctor broke his frown into a small smile as it seemed that Dr. Teigra always seemed to arrive at the last moment.

Three groups. Four Rangers per group, two Combat Response agents, and Silver Jedi accompaniment. Ranger Bluerock had met with [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] and [member="Rachel Taff"] personally when they arrived, and Group Beta had gotten to their assigned search zone without much of a hitch. He wasn't much impressed by the pink-haired girl, but he'd seen the abilities of force users firsthand in the past. This wasn't the first time he'd taken on traffickers, and some years past there had been one group with a dark jedi in their ranks. It had soured his opinion on them in general.

Still, he wasn't the one calling the shots from the top. If the Wookiee had managed to convince the council that aligning themselves with the Silver Jedi was in the best interests of his people, he'd keep his mouth shut. New Plympto wasn't worth anything to outsiders. It got on just fine without them, and so long as they were left to their daily lives, he doubted that the Silver Jedi would be any different as allies than the Coalition, or those droids from some years back.

The Nosaurian was in the center of the patrol, a human ranger named Mertyn up front as they pressed forward.

"Keep together, Jedi," he said to nobody in particular, a clawed finger resting against the trigger guard of his blaster rifle as he scanned the woodlands. "And if you see pink and yellow frills turn your head away. Spitrunners aren't much up front but their venom is nasty."

Everyone carried two doses of a standard antivenom, but having to stop and deal with it, not to mention getting a med-evac out there, would throw a serious wrench into the operation. And time was already not on their side.

2
Unlike their comrades further north in the Chase, the Rangers at Half-Axe Station were much more welcoming to the Silver Jedi operatives who were joining them. While pride may have been pervasive in those whose objective was to hunt down the poachers, the ones whose objective was to track down a missing child had little to none of it. Ranger Kori was in charge here, a sixteen-year veteran of the agency, and one of their most experienced when it came to the area around Half-Axe Pass.

The black-haired woman noticed at first [member="Reggie Faayare"] in the main meeting room, much younger than she'd expected from the Jedi, before spotting [member="Hyonu Ye"] and [member="Ciana Teigra"] nearby. Some of her own fellow Rangers moved here and there making some last minute preparations for dispatch, setting aside supply kits and special equipment. She'd give them a few minutes longer before calling everyone together. She had her own last-minute checklist to go over.

Objective: 1, Find these poachers!
Allies: [member="Asaraa Vaashe"] | [member="Rachel Taff"]

Yuroic had decided to take on the assignment of hunting down the poachers that were smuggling animals off-world for the criminal world to abuse. His mission was to hunt them down and assist the natives in protecting their wildlife. This was the type of mission that brought him pleasure as it was always good to shut down criminals and help innocents. While these animals were not all that friendly, they were still innocent, only acting on instinct. Yuroic made his way to their meeting point with some of the NPWPS people. He noticed recently promoted Knight Vaashe had already arrived to the mission.

This would be interesting, he was sure the young Knight was eager to prove herself as a capable Knight and leader, moving closer to the girl, he looked at her. "Greetings Asaraa, how about you take lead on this mission." He offered as he looked over at what seemed a disapproving Nosaurian, there must be something more to the danger. Most of the Nosaurians that he had met were either indifferent or friendly to the Jedi and his presence. Yuroic was equipped with his bow and two Lightsabers, ready for any enemies that they might face on this mission. His abilities in Beast Control were also handy if they needed to deal with the dangerous wildlife, able to calm their presence.

While originally the idea was four Rangers per group, two guests of Josh had come along with desire to aid in the mission of hunting poachers. Both Ra, on behalf of their ally the Hand, and Madalena on behalf of their ally, the Confederacy. When Josh would bring up to the Silver Jedi that all of Team 1 along with Scherezade/Madalena and Ra had been on a long mission together and had developed a solid working chemistry, the exception was made to allow their team to work as a full unit. In the time since the group had last worked together, Asaraa had become a Jedi Knight, and this would be their first mission together with Asaraa no longer being his pupil. It was bittersweet but he knew that she'd be fine.

Josh was used to dealing with the criminal underworld, and Jason's adoration for animals had begun to rub off on him. So he didn't mind so much when chosen for the poacher finding mission. While his fatherly heart ached for the missing child and he did kind of want to go to look, he knew the team dispatched would get the job done. He had to focus on where he would be best suited.

"I agree, I say we let Asaraa take the lead, if she can" Josh spoke as he would stride toward the team as they were heading out to the field. "Well" He remarked as he looked around at them. "This is quite the reunion, isn't it?"

Standing with everyone else, Madalena was a walking armory, covered both above and beneath her clothes in various knives, and that was before counting the other weapons that the woman carried upon her, including the twin lightsabers made for her by Josh little after her parents' death. She had to move a few things around to make sure she could join in on the SJO mission and was more than satisfied that it had worked; she was here, helping her best friend out.

All the faces around her were familiar, thanks to a mission that happened a little while ago. But more important than that they all knew each other was that they all knew that she was more than capable at driving land-side vehicles, unlike what evil poodoo headed Jedi Master DragonsFlame tried to convince them.

Grinning, the woman stretched her upper body up, releasing a satisfied knack from her spine.

"Let's go kill things!" she said with the biggest and sweetest grin she had to offer.

Samara washed and dried her hands before exiting the ranger station's fresher. She wasn't a prissy, but knew out in the woods there wouldn't be civilized comforts when nature called. The female Jedi wanted to push the next time off for as long as possible so the Liann made sure to take care of things before the search and rescue group departed.

Joining the other members from the Silver Jedi Order that had come to aid the New Plympto locals in finding a reported missing child, the honey blonde Knight gave a respectful cant of her golden head to the two doctors and padawan, then offered a friendly smile to the Ranger-in-Charge as she passed by.

The young healer double checked the medpac she was bringing along to make sure all the supplies for a back county patient were there. Hopefully the child would be found quickly and in good health. But the longer out in the elements, the higher chance the youth's condition would be compromised. Time was of the essence.

Location: Outskirts of Ranadaast, Duro
Objective: BYOO - Establish a clinic and new post for an SSC humanitarian mission.

Finley had heard stories about the pollution of Duro, a desolate ruined that was supposed to even make old Corellia look as pristine as Alderaan or Naboo. The stories were all wrong.

It was so much worse.

After descending through the kilometers of smog that hung over the former capital of Duro, Finley came face to face with the urban hellscape that was once supposed to be a beautiful city. Ruined skyscrapers, great rivers of toxic sludge, and twisted grooves of deadly Vong flora. It was hard to believe that anyone could live in amid such filth, but the city was alive with lights, their neon glare reduced to a sickly pale glow by haze.

After millennia of pollution and failed attempts of cleaning it up, the Duro government have finally requested the aid of the Silver Jedi, known far and wide for their humanitarian efforts. Plans had been drawn up for a long-term reconstruction plan that may grace Duros with clear skies and water for the first time in centuries, but for now, the SSC was starting small with a single city as a test. However, they hadn't only come to save the planet, but also the people. Without their help, even the most ambitious reconstruction efforts were doomed to fail. So the first step in establishing the biome was establishing free clinics and other outreach programs.

Needless to say, this would be quite a challenge for Finley, used to working with less developed civilizations where there wasn't preexisting infrastructure to deal with, but he welcomed the challenge. It was also a perfect space for training a new generation of healers and medics.

If they could make it on Duro, then they could make it anywhere.

"Ziana, I know all that Summer taught you was very basic, telekinesis and Art of Movement. That said I feel that perhaps it's a little premature to teach you anything more advanced: they entail levels of responsibility that I don't believe three-year-olds can handle"

"You're not like those people here, who seem to be in a frenzy to rush their children's development to a point it becomes unhealthy"

"I'm grateful for having had a childhood that was, well, rather normal, as normal as it could be when one was a genius"

Hothousing. A very sensitive topic that made so many squirm, across several species of highly variable capabilities, ranging from the Omwati (who were the foremost experts on the subject in today's galaxy, at least with respect to the intellectual aspect) to other species that operate on caste systems, such as Geonosians, Yuuzhan Vong and Gree, to the extent social mobility was even possible. In her mind, hothousing was more prevalent in societies where social mobility was actually a thing. I knew more "ordinary" parents attempted to raise a genius, regardless of how they would then use their intellect, and it gets worse for Force-using families from what I've seen, Jessica thought, knowing the results were just as variable as the backgrounds (societal or racial) of the practitioners. She had that discussion with her half-brother until what family still remaining on Loronar was finally assembled, in a cramped loft for the family members that could make it, regardless of the ages. It was hard enough to fit thirty people in a space the size of a loft, it was even harder to ensure it would be done without disturbing the neighbors in any direction too much.

"Jessica, the prodigal daughter, has returned: as a Jedi Master and also as a general. She is known more in that capacity than virtually every Jedi I have personally known in my lifetime, but that isn't saying much" Jessica's father announced to the rest of the family.

"The Rift Campaign was where you established your place among today's depleted talent pool" a second-degree relative commented to her.

Hearing his name being called out, Reggie turned to find [member="Ciana Teigra"], someone he had worked with when trying to cure the sick refugees that were fleeing from Dac. He was happy to be working with the doctor again, but it did seem as though they only met under unfortunate circumstances.

"Hello Master Tiegra! It is unfortunate that we never meet under better circumstances. We should change that one day."

Reggie crossed his arms and sighed. Ciana's presence helped calm his mind, happy to have friends he can work with.

"I've been good though, how about yourself?"

[member="Hyonu Ye"] appeared to him soon after, Reggie's worrying fading even more. His focus was still on the missing child, but now he felt more confident with his allies by his side.

"Well we'll have to meet under better circumstances as well Master Ye. The chance will arise someday i'm sure. Maybe we should all get a bite to eat sometime. Break the cycle."

As Hyonu turned his attention to Ciana, Reggie searched the room to see who else was around.

Well, it seemed there was going to be a reunion with the Ermagoop squad. They had worked together well enough there and now another opportunity was given.

"Provided Madalena doesn't drive, I think we'll be fine."

The sithling was not going to live that one down...ever. Joking was done all in good humor and no ill will was intended.

"I'm not sure we're here to kill though, Madalena. Capture the poachers? Maybe they will be nice and surrender. That's high hopes though. Worst case, we kill them. Which can be done in the blink of an eye."

Looking at the others, she figured allowing the newly knighted Asaraa would do fine as the leader here and would follow the requests she had.

As if on cue, Hyonu came through the front door of the office looking like he had just walked through a cyclone. Hyonu and humidity certainly didn't mix.

"Well, speak of the devil," she exclaimed, holding back a snort. "There's the good doctor himself. Seems like I beat you somewhere for a change."

As she greeted Hyonu, another Jedi came, whom she immediately recognized as Knight Raine, another recent addition to the Silver Circle. Since its inception, the fledgling organization made to replace the Silver Cross was growing in number and prestige every day.

She smiled and nodded in acknowledgment to Raine, open to chat as they awaited contact with the local Ranger services. Hopefully, the meeting started sooner rather than later, she wanted to get out in the field ASAP before any remaining leads dried up.

Since leaving her birthplanet, Eustachya had had a lot of reconciling to do.

For instance, she had come to see planets outside of the Novis system, too, as children of Novis. So when she glimpsed the heavy green smog surrounding them out of the spacesheild as she walked into the cockpit, she couldn't help but ask, "Oh no... Whatever have they done to Duro?"

Leaving the naive question hanging in the air, she slid into the empty copilot's seat. She didn't know much, but she had learned a little and was ready and willing to help with enact landing measures when they got closer to their destination.

"And what exactly is our mission here, Master Dawson?" she continued after a pause to allow for the possible answer to her first.
