Untested - Kanna has been extremely sheltered, from her original upbringing within a family desperately trying to strike a balance to stay in power and protect themselves to the most recent stretch spent on a ship in exile to ensure her survival. Theoretically she has the skills and training to get a lot done and deal with a myriad of situations, but knowing something in theory and putting it into practise is something else entirely
Unsure - Kanna tries to act extremely sure of herself, but she knows how little she knows, and she's afraid she won't be able to live up to her family legacy
Unknown - Kanna should have been raised as a well-known figure. she should have had contacts and supporters, instead she has to fight just to get people to accept that she is who she says she is.

APPEARANCE:
Kanna is of moderate height with dark hair and eyes. Her skin is pale, as she's spent most of her life shipboard and shielded from the rays of any sun. She is in decent shape, though lacking any real muscle mass again due to her time on ship. She tends to dree appropriately for the situation, leaning towards elegance. It would be unusual to see her dirty or in torn clothing.
BIOGRAPHY:
For a good many years Kuat was under the sway of the Sith. Not the current iteration, but a past one far more given to acts of genocide, senseless violence, and using entire planets as fuel for whatever mad experiments their less than stable members had dreamt up in the dark of night. Some of the Ten, the ruling families of Kuat embraced their new Overlords. Some opposed them and were crushed for it. Kuat saw no profit in being destroyed, nor could they protect their people and home if they were dead. So they did what was necessary, they took on the facade of loyalty to their overlords, and did their best to shield Kuat from further depravities and destruction. They were quite successful in this, which would eventually lead to their downfall.
When the Sith of that time fell, the Free World Coalition moved in, and allied with House Andrim and House Knylenn decided to overthrow all that they as being allies of the Sith. Although the other houses were surely versed enough in politics and involved enough in the running of Kuat to know that House Kuat was no enemy of the people, it was well known to any Kuati that House Knylenn in particular held no love for Kuat, and used the ignorant FWC as a convenient catspaw to remove their long term allies. And they were almost totally successful. House Kuat was largely destroyed.
This was however, not an unseen eventuality. After all, House Kuat had been playing a very dangerous game for a very long time. They had long accepted that they might be attacked and even wiped out in their own homes. So they took steps against this eventuality. One of those steps was Kanna. At the time she was second heir to House Kuat, with an older sister. Her mother made the decision when they came under Sith occupation to send a young Kanna off in a ship with her myriad tutors and nannies, and struck her name from most public records. This wound up being a very wise decision, as both mother and elder sister who managed to live through Sith occupation fell to the Free World 'liberation'.
Now an adult, Kanna has determined that it is time to go home and reclaim her birthright. She has felt this way for nearly a decade, but only recently has she decided to overrule her advisers, realising that the galaxy will never truly be 'safe', and if she waits for that she would grow old and die upon the vessel which has been her whole world for over two decades.
And perhaps this too is good timing, for Kuat relatively recently suffered a great loss when during the collapse of the FWC, the ring surrounding their planet was blown to pieces, with many of those pieces striking the surface of the planet and leaving Kuat in a dire situation once more.

Kuat Terraforming specialises in, as one might expect, terraforming. House Kuat always had some experience in terraforming, dating back to when they assisted the other Nine Houses in the terraforming of Kuat into a veritable paradise. For a time, this knowledge took a back seat as they focused on running KDY, however in recent generations the shipyard is no longer run by House Kuat. This necessitated finding another way to stay relevant as well as to bring in credits. With Kuat itself in dire need of some assistance on that front and having dug up all the Houses old records, Kuat Terraforming was formed.
While their focuses will always be first and foremost on their own home planet, Kuat terraforming will take jobs from any purchaser who can afford their steep fees and who's project is judged to not be hurtful to either the Kuati people or House Kuats reputation.
They are capable not only of the basics of making uninhabitable planets habitable, but in seeding the planet with both plants and animals, and in performing the genetic manipulations often necessary to make sure these plants and animals thrive on their new planets. To aid in this part of their business, they also run a fairly sizeable cloning operation, as the task of breeding and raising a suitable number of whatever is needed is unfeasible. They have thusfar avoided entirely the minefield of genetic manipulation or cloning of sentients.
RATIONALE
House Kuat was once preeminent among the Ten, running KDY and representing Kuat to the galaxy as a whole as part of the Inheritance Exemption. The ravages of a galaxy almost constantly at war would however, take their toll. Under Sith rule, House Kuat was forced to play loyal to reduce the damage down to both their House and the Planet as a whole. Knowing this ploy could crumble around their ears at any time, the then Matriarch of House Kuat sent her second daughter to be raised in exile, in case the worst should happen. House Kuat managed to survive the Sith, only to fall to their hereditary rivals House Knylenn who convinced the 'liberating' Free Worlds Coalition that House Kuat was truly loyal to the Sith and an enemy who had to be destroyed. The Free Worlds Coalition succeeded in destroying House Kuat where the Sith had failed.
Flash forward several years, after the destruction of the ring surrounding the planet and the devastation it caused upon impact, Kanna Kuat, now firmly into her adulthood and having learned all her tutors could teach her, is determined to rejoin the galaxy, cast aside her exile, clear the name of House Kuat and reclaim her title of Kuat of Kuat.
She determined that one of the first steps to that is to make sure she has a steady source of income rather than living off of her Houses hidden riches, and to be seen as serving and bettering the lives of the Kuati people. Sinking much of her inheritance into it, Kuat Terraforming is born.
