Kill All Robots (TEC - Ord Mantell)

@[member="Velok"] @[member="Cai Sanis"]

Late to the party! Zandra was always late! She lost track of Janira somewhere. Lost her and now she found her. Well, found kind of.
"you know she's going to die, right?" she called out to the others, "if she doesn't get help. It's not the bleeding that'll kill her."

"Just a baryonic regression," said the Bard, scratching his head. The skiff touched down in the shadow of a mountain of trash, safe for the moment. But only for the moment. "The pulse matrices...yeah, y'know what? I'm not even sure how to explain it to you. And I kinda live by my words. I'm the Bard of the Hyperlanes, Rel Connory. And I will kick consoles anytime I like."

He locked down the skiff and pulled on a pair of very thick gloves, then peeled the metal back from KORAH's head.

"All right, you little beauty, I'm just going to pop out your verbobrain here and stick it in a new receptacle for safekeeping. Don't mind me. Now, if you'd rather keep your whole head..."

Velok nodded slowly. "Then it's time to tire myself out. This may be all I've got in me. Now or never. Cai, go with Zandra. Get Janira and get her out of here. I'll distract...well, everything."

The Dark Lord rose into the air, his rages and pains coalescing into sheer power. True to his word, he was tiring himself out. Air and force compressed around him like a still shockwave.

Blasterfire lanced out at him from the oncoming droids. The Dark Lord was the perfect distraction. Cai and Zandra had time to get away from Velok, and get close to Janira, almost unopposed. He absorbed the blasterfire, taking the wounds but using the energy to enhance the violence of what he was about to do.

Force Repulse, a spherical shockwave, collapsed the tunnel behind him and brought down part of the ceiling. The droids, crushed or simply traumatized, flew everywhere, and the titanic droid overlord staggered back from the immensity of the shockwave. Velok landed hard on knee and fist, roaring out his pain.

Very, very carefully, the Bard opened up KORAH's head and removed her brain and transmitters, linking it all to the battery first. A brain plus a battery. No senses. No weapons. Nothing but nanites. The transmitters were necessary to continue the jamming.

He locked the brain, the transmitters and the battery in a small box, then pulled out a small ion blaster and began pumping diffuse shots into everything he had touched. KORAH's body went out the bottom hatch as the skiff rose. His gloves went into another container, for purposes of later nanite analysis. More low-level ion fire, avoiding the ship's circuitry as much as possible, let him thoroughly decontaminate the inside of the vessel.

"All right, we're as safe as we're ever going to be. Now we just have to keep jamming. And maybe give our people some air support."

The skiff rose and then descended into the collapsed part of the cavity. The little ship flew once around the huge droid and the huge chamber, then ascended into the open air.

"Transmitting all of that to base...did you see the size of that droid?"

She looked up and saw her Sister standing with Cai and Velok. She wished they would leave so they wouldn't get killed, but she had no way of conveying that. Even though her sister annoyed the absolute spit out of her, she loved her and didn't want to see her dead just because he was trying to rescue her. It wasn't worth it. But she couldn't make them stop. Besides, it seemed like there was some plan being formed. She watched from afar as Velok jumped, and absorbed blaster fire. What was he doing? He was going to get himself killed! And then a massive wave rolled out, enough to push her and her captors back, throwing the latter to the ground. She groaned and closed her eyes.

The giant droid staggered back into the cavern wall, shaking the entire place. Straightening again, it turned. The little droids were no longer useful to it. This was something it was going to have to deal with on its own. Stepping forward, it moved its hand down towards @[member="Velok"] with the intent of crushing the creature into paste.

A Koensayr mapping skiff entered the cavern directly above the place where Velok lay. THe vessel buzzed the cave, scanning busily, then exited the same way it had entered. Velok cursed the Bard of the Hyperlanes as the gigantic droid overlord moved to swat or squash or otherwise splat him.

And he was so worn out, so tired. In desperation, he flung up both hands. His lightsabre had fallen or been blasted away. His right shoulder was a mass of unbelievable pain, but he drew on it as he had taught Eldoc Quasat to do, for his own amusement.

His go-to power roared out from him, because he had nothing else to give -- because only instinct was keeping him alive right now. And Velok's instincts said 'lightning.'

A gigantic bolt of crimson light slammed into the oncoming hand, jolting it back and potentially electrocuting the monstrous droid.

Spencer looked at the Bard and the whatever he pulled out of the droid. Looking down she noticed one of their comrades, the old one laying there. Frowning she didn't pick up much of the force coming form him when she went to sense. Standing on the edge of the Skiff she looked back towards the bard who had so carefully moved the brain into the box. Grinning, she spoke to him really quick before she decided to do what she needed to do.

"I'm going to head back down, I feel like I should be leaving you some alone time with your girlfriend"

Doing a quick run over her equipment she tossed him the robe that she wore over her tunic.

"Don't make a mess! Auf Wiedersehen!"

With that the girl jumped towards the pit, using the force she manipulated the currents around her so that she would land quite nicely in the middle of the large bad droid's head. Her feet touched down and she looked down at her cousin and with a smile she placed her palm down and forced the currents of her force lightning into the mechanic creature.

The Bard turned away from the controls, just in time to catch the thrown robe. "Hot," he said with some appreciation, and watched her jump out the floor's hatch.

"Control, this is Connory. I'm sending you all the sensor data I can. Spencer Jacobs is fighting what looks to be a corvette-sized robot overlord. I am...genuinely impressed. Also, all's normal here. The jamming is holding steady. Give me access to orbital comm assets and a ground-based antenna array and i might even be able to punch the jamming through to the next level and incapacitate the rest of the army. Maybe."

Double electrocution. The droid might have been able to withstand the first blast through size alone, but it wasn't gifted that. Not possessing shielding from electrical currents, the lightning from the hand, and the lightning poured in its head sent the entire droid into a frenzy of uncontrolled activity. It ran towards the cavern wall and slammed into it before stopping and falling over backwards with enough Force that it would bring anything above crashing down. And anything caught beneath it, like the incapacitated Echani woman named Janira, would be squished into goo. On top of that... the droid started smoking, and there was clear evidence of growing danger when a warning klaxon began to sound from the giant body.

Velok crawled. It wasn't dignified, it wasn't pretty, but he crawled, narrowly avoiding the droid's hand as it fell. He had exhausted every bit of his Force connection, and was, effectively, useless. He could barely stand.

"Get out of there!" he called down to Cai and Zandra, but his voice didn't carry too far. He was tired, and besides that, the noise of the dying droid staggered him.

Cai darted forward toward the falling droid, or more appropriately toward Janira. He swooped in low as he approached and scooped her up into his arms. Looking back he saw the saw the shadow of the monstrous droid looming over head. His legs pumped furiously trying to escape the fall. He burst energy as best he could darting with speed and then he realized something. "I can step to the side," he said jumping off to the side and avoiding the large metal construct. "Why don't they do this in the holovids?" It wasn't nearly as dramatic he decided.

He put Janira down onto the ground and looked over at the enemy. He ignited his saber blade and charged...

Spencer rode the fall of the droid as she continued to pump it with the Force Lighting. Looking down she saw Cai run towards the droid, he would help finish it off hopefully if he doesn't try anything stupid like the heroes in the Holovids. She looked towards the fallen Echani and sighed with relief that she had been taken out alive. Losing someone would have totally destroyed the excitement of this fight.

"Cai you slow mando hurry up and finish it!"

Her sister. She had to get to her! Zandra was not a smart woman. That was fine. She had Lady Luck on her side. And she already lost someone today. She wasn't about to lose her sister too!
She ran with Cai as he scooped up her sister, rolling dodging until they were safe. then, without much more of a word, the dummy rushed back in there leaving Janira in the care of her sister.
"Come on, Sis," she grumbled, trying to help her up, "We gatta get you out of here."

Janira groaned a bit. "Stupid twit, following me..." Though her words were angry, hurtful, they were twinged with affection towards her sister. She might get annoyed, even angry, at Zandra a lot of the time, but she still loved her. Of all of their family members, Zandra deserved the most respect for actually looking out for her sister, rather than putting her down. Janira had always been the runt, small, not capable of fighting, until she'd had a growth spurt. She'd busted their cousins face in for what he'd done to her. Either way, when Zandra helped her up, she leaned on her sister and let the younger woman help her to start staggering away. She wasn't going to complain.

The others charged the downed mega droid to kill it, seemingly ignoring the warning klaxon going off. Smart of them. Or, rather, they were acting like real Echani and opting to neutralize the threat at the potential expense of their own lives. The klaxon turned into a high pitched whine, and then suddenly....

BOOM!

The droid exploded in a massive blast of fire, rushing air, heat, and debris, sending a huge column of debris and smoke into the air. It sent Janira and Zandra tumbling into a mess on the ground, hopefully away from the fire.

As the droid blew up Cai threw himself in front of Spencer. The shrapnel and debris launched toward them bouncing off his personal shield. His hands went up to cover his face as the fire of the explosion drove toward the pair. The shield evaporated and several peices of metal struck into his armor. The wound from earlier ached and fresh new lacerations were created. And then... it was over. Cai tumbled to the ground blackness overtaking him for the second time in a day.

"Uh oh..."

Spencer was about to jump, but someone jumped in front of her. Wide eyes, she recognized the idiot and quickly wrapped her arms around his body. Expanding the force around them she did her best to protect them from whatever the shield didn't absorb. Both flew back and Spencer managed to land on top of Cai. The boy broke her fall and she sat up sitting on him with both her legs straddling his stomach. Rubbing her head she groaned and then looked down at her blacked out cousin.

"Cai you idiot!"

She slapped him quickly, but afterwards she felt bad and then embraced him. Her body started to glow a soft gold as she used every inch of her being to heal him with the Force.

Velok staggered to his feet and tripped his communicator. A torrent of victory messages rolled in as the Echani forces continued crushing the droids. But this, the main battle, was over.

"Command, we have multiple injured. We need medical support."

"Copy, Velok. Connory's skiff is your best chance of a quick evac. We have a field hospital ready to receive you."

"Copy that, Command, I'm going in for the evac."

The Koensayr mapping skiff descended into the pit and landed beside the remains of the droid. A side hatch opened, and Connory beckoned the wounded inside. With a last glance at KORAH's brain box, he brought up the sonic servodriver. A circuit tripped, and the transmitters died. No more link to Omni, no more jamming, nothing of the sort necessary. All was well. The battle was over.

He started helping pick people up and drag them into the skiff for medevac.

Finishing with Cai, Spencer wandered over to Velok. She could sense his weakness from over exerting himself with the force. Smiling, she opened her hand towards him.

"I can help you."

Closing her eyes she focused only on the Master. Just like she had done with Ashin she melded her force strands with his. Hers were fresh flowing quickly with a healthy supply of the force. Velok's connection wasnt as bright as hers, but by reversing what she knew about force drain, she revived the old man's strength.
