Katarine Ryiah is a Jedi Master from the Clone Wars era who was frozen in carbonite deep beneath the waters on the planet Naboo during Order 66. The Cataclysm of Naboo caused her carbinanation chamber to be discovered. After her rescue she was taken to a Naboo hospital and treated for hibernation sickness. She spent three years battling the illness. Now she has joined the New Jedi Order to help bring peace to a galaxy far far away...

Katarine is a Jedi Sentinel who specializes as a Jedi Investigator. She works undercover to investigate threats to the galaxy. ​

BACKGROUND

Katarine Alysabeth Ryiah is a Force-sensitive human female who served the Jedi Order before The Great Jedi Purge. Due to her specialization as a Jedi Investigator, a role that relied on withholding her identity, she spent most of her early life undercover and never rose to galactic prominence.

Katarine was born into the noble house of Demesne on her mother's side, while her father's family had ties to the ancient house Araba. Her parents were loving people who adored their children and hoped to have a large family. As an infant Katarine was cared for by servants and accustomed to a fine life. This changed when the family was targeted by a Dark Jedi Cult called The Followers of Gemini. Lady Sinistra, leader of the cult, believed that Katarine and her twin brother Daxium fulfilled an ancient prophecy, allowing the cult to rise to power in the galaxy and grant Lady Sinistra immortality. To harness this prophecy, Lady Sinistra abducted the children when they were infants. The Jedi maintained a list of confirmed Force-sensitive infants, particularly their identities and locations, so they knew of the twin's existence. When it was discovered the Dark Jedi cult had kidnapped the children, a team of Jedi was sent to rescue them. The Jedi rescued the children, but the cult members were successful in killing the twin's parents, leaving them orphaned. The children's grandmother, Isaline, an ex Jedi who had taken the Barash Vow, was called to take the twins and raise them on the forest preserve world of Usina. During this time both Katarine and her twin brother Daxium played and enjoyed being normal children. The twins grew closer and eventually, they formed a Force Dyad. Their grandmother knew that as Force sensitive children they were destined to eventually join the Jedi, but she tried to stall this as long as she could because the twins were so close and The Jedi forbid attachments. After a second kidnapping attempt by the Followers of Gemini however the grandmother knew it was time to send the children to the Jedi. Isaline traveled to Coruscant with both of the children, intending to give them over and allow them to start training.

After testing both of the twins the Council determined that both were highly Force sensitive, but Daxium had a volatile temper that made him dangerous. This combined with the fact that the dark cult was still at large lead to the Jedi Order deciding to separate the twins, believing it would be more difficult for remnants of the cult to find them if the twins were not together.

Katarine was sent to a small Jedi enclave on Corellia, while her twin brother Daxium was adopted by a family. The twins were distraught and did not want to be separated, and planned to keep in touch with each other, but the Jedi Code at the time forbade attachments for Katarine. Daxium was also highly jealous that Katarine would get to be trained in the ways of the Force while he would not. This would later become a source of contention between the twins.

As a Jedi padawan Katarine trained in several different enclaves. At the Corellian enclave she met a young girl named Zesh and the two quickly bonded. While Katarine served as a Jedi padawan she focused her skills into becoming a Jedi Sentinel. She soon specialized in detective work and started to accompany Jedi Investigators on assignments. She specialized in criminal investigation and spent a lot of her time in the criminal underworld on assignment. Katarine felt at home in the criminal underbelly and soon earned a reputation due to her unorthodox way of doing things

After facing her trials she ascended into the rank of Jedi Knight and decided to put her investigative skills on hold so she could focus on teaching. As a Jedi Knight she trained several young students to knighthood, including Mist Mayweather, Aden Lothiar, Elion Corsair, James Terran, Phylis Alince and Zana Manto. She would continue to train other students and aid in the training of students at the Coruscant temple during this time. Eventually Katarine opened a small enclave on Dagobah, and helped to train a select few students in the boggy terrain. Here she taught students how to track and Psychometry, the ability to sense the memories of other beings by touching objects that they had come into contact with. Katarine also used this time to develop exceptional agility, even furthering her ability to move quickly by regularly performing training climbs and long runs with her students. Her group of students became expert trackers and scouts. Each student would go on to utilize these skills after their knighthood.

When her students had finished training Katarine closed the enclave on Dagobah and traveled back to Corellia. The planetary police body, CorSec was suffering from internal corruption. The police commissioner reached out to the Jedi for help and Katarine was placed undercover to identify the leaks in the system. She entered the CoreSec Academy as a rookie cop and worked her way through the program.

During her training with the other cadets Katarine couldn’t help but be impressed by the police agency. CorSec had an impressive arrest and conviction record and was among the finest law enforcement officials in the galaxy. She quickly excelled through the program, setting many of the agencies records during her training. After graduating from the academy she became a beat cop and eventually she was promoted to homicide detective. This promotion meant a great deal to Katarine, who was seriously considering leaving the Jedi to pursue police work full time. She was assigned to an older officer, Penhall who became her partner. The two grew close as they worked together and Katarine found a fast friendship in her fellow officer. Kat found Penhalls charm, humor and unwavering good heart as a welcome relief from others in the galaxy. As she continued her investigation into CorSec Penhall eventually discovered Kats true identity, but he swore to keep it a secret so she could weed out the corrupt cops working in the agency. Penhall would latter be killed in the line of duty, devastating Katarine but allowing her to take down the corrupt officer Fuller. After she closed her investigation Kat resigned her position in CorSec and returned to the Jedi. Her attachment to Penhall deeply troubled her and she sought to refocus on the Jedi path. She joined the temple on Coruscant and focused heavily on training a handful of new students during this time.

Due to her commitment to training and the need for more high ranking Jedi during the Clone Wars, Kat was Mastered at the young age of 18. She was called to the front lines of the Clone Wars shortly after obtaining her new rank. As a young master she faced many challenges on the battlefield and quickly found that she did not excel at leading armies like most Jedi did. Katarine yearned to return to her investigation assignments and when the opportunity presented itself she always volunteered for assignments that took her off the battlefield. The Clone Wars was taxing however and many Jedi were called to the front lines. It was a difficult time for Kat, as she tried to become a better tactician and warrior. She was not in her element and was often overshadowed by great Jedi generals of the time.

Eventually Katarine would cross paths with her twin once again when she was on an assignment in the criminal underworld. Reports of a serial killer had reached the ears of the Jedi Council and Katarine was dispatched to investigate the crimes. She was all too happy to leave the battlefield, though felt a pang of guilt knowing that she was needed on the front lines. She traveled to the casino planet of Cantonica to meet with the medical examiner and discuss the victims. The examiner showed her that each victim was carved with an intricately done etching of dark runes that were only visible in some light. The markings looked familiar to Katarine but she could not be certain where she knew them from. She began her investigation into the markings and followed leads all over Cantonica, until she finally came face to face with her twin Daxium. Katarine was astonished to learn that Daxium had envied Katarine for being able to train with the Jedi and despised her for turning her back on her family. Left with no other option, he had ran away from his adopted family and tracked down Lady Sinistra so he could learn the ways of the darkside. Katarine tried to talk sense into her brother, but she quickly realized his killing spree was a trap to get her to Cantonica. He took her into custody, using muscle from the rest of the Followers of Gemini. The cult held Katarine captive for months, torturing her and carving the same dark runes on her. Their leader, Lady Sinistra, was missing and the cult suspected Jedi involvement in her disappearance. The brutal questioning continued but Katarine refused to give any details on where the Jedi kept prisoners of that caliber. Finally, enraged at his sisters refusal to break, Daxium threatened a group of children and Kat's resolved wavered. She agreed to take Daxium to Black Marsh Prison, a secret prison where the most dangerous criminals in the galaxy were kept. Daxium and Katarine traveled to Naboo, and decended into the inky depths of the swaps to the prisons secret location. Lady Sinistra was indeed locked in the depths but Katarine made one last bid to persuade her brother to leave the cult. A fight broke out and Daxium managed to push Katarine into the carbonation chamber. She remained in the depths for centuries until the cataclym of Naboo broke the prison and sent those entombed to the surface. Katarine was rescued and taken to Theed General Hospital, where she battled hibernation sickness for three long years. When she was healthy enough she traveled to the New Jedi Order to start learning this strange new timeline she found herself in.

-Darkside Kryptonite - Katarine has a mutation in her blood that causes her to be weak against the darkside. When in the presence of a darksider she feels dizzy and lightheaded, very much like Superman does in the presences of Kryptonite. This effect is multiplied if the darksider makes physical contact with her.

-Piloting - Katarine is a subpar pilot and prefers not to fly if she can help it.

-Kindess - Kat wears her heart on her sleeve, which can be very dangerous for a Jedi.

-Battlefield Tactics - Katarine is not a skilled battle tactician and prefers not to fight on the front lines of a battle

EQUIPMENT

Lightsabers​

During her padawan training Katarine went to Ilum to find the crystals contained in her lightsabers. She selected two sets of crystals that were bled by Sith in order to make strong dark weapons however because Katarine is weakened by the darkside (Darkside Kryptonite) she needed to purify the crystals before she could use them. She was able to purify one crystal set completely but the second crystal still contains some darkside energy, meaning she can only use it for a short period of time before it weakens her.Katarine specializes in wielding two blades, each contained tw

o crystals. Each weapon has a dual-phase mechanism, which allows her to switch from one crystal to the other with a turn of the hilt, thus lengthening the blade. When the blades are in their standard form they are white, average length and utilizing the purified crystal, but when the hilt is rotated the blades lengthen and utilize the crystal that still has some residual dark energy This dark energy turns the blade pink and can only be used for a short time before Kat must switch her weapon back to it's original form.

After her revival on Naboo she constructed another lightsaber. This lightsaber is a two bladed weapon with a handle that allows it to be separated into two single lightsabers. The blades are pink and they contain a standard crystal from the caves on Ilum.

Clothing
​

Traditionally Katarine wore a black flight jacket, black flight pants, white tank top, and black boots. This outfit served her well while she was doing undercover missions with the Jedi Investigators, and latter helped her hide her identity as a Jedi after Order 66. While she worked with the rebellion she would hide her lightsabers in her jacket or inside her boots to keep from revealing her true identity. After her arrival in the current

time period Katarine stood out for wearing clothes that were a century out of fashion. Thanks to her new friends in the New Jedi Order she was gifted with a more updated version of Jedi attire. This new outfit features a black and white jumpsuit with black boots. Factory Link: Here

Katarine owns an antique ELG-3A blaster pistol from Naboo. The weapon is old and can sometimes misfire but sentimental attachment keeps it with her.​

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Isaline was born to the Ancient House of Araba as the only Force sensitive child among thirteen brothers and sisters. As a child she played and helped raise her brothers and sisters and grew up experiencing the wealth and expectations that came with being a member of a noble house. Her parents were distant but made certain to train their children is grace and decorum. When Isaline was six months old her parents realized she was Force sensitive and allowed the Jedi to take her for training, but insisted she remain part of House Petro and perform her noble duties as she got older. Her parents worried about their reputation if they were to allow Isaline to cut off ties with the family, so they insisted the Jedi allow her to remain part of the house. This would prove difficult for Isaline since the Jedi Order at the time forbid attachments. Throughout her training she would visit her family but never felt entirely bonded with them.

During her training as a Jedi she was accepted as a padawan and worked her way up through the ranks all the way to Jedi Master. At this point in history the galaxy was experiencing an great time of peace under the Republic so Isaline spent a lot of her time in service of the worlds in the Republic, rather than as a member of a war machine. She would often visit her family as they requested and help attend to business on the worlds her family governed. She became a champion for civil rights and worked with indigenous people to help them get rights they deserved. When the ancient house of Petro wanted to build a forest preserve on Usina Isaline helped them and dedicated her time to rescuing species from all over the galaxy.

Isaline did not feel close to her family but got along well with her siblings for the most part. The only real source of strife between the siblings was between Isaline and her brother Faine. Her brother Faine was jealous of his sisters talents in the Force, and the freedom being a Jedi offered her. He felt pressured to conform to his families values but envied his sisters detachment. When she was a young adult she had gotten into an altercation with her brother Faine that left her physically damaged and would ruin her future as a Jedi. Her parents refused to listen to her and did not wish a family scandal exposed so they ordered Isaline not to inform the Jedi Council what had happened. Isaline was furious with her parents because they would not punish her brother or seek justice for what he had done to her. She decided to cut ties with the family.

Isaline moved to the forest world of Usina, which the Petro family had declared a nature reserve. There she took a new surname of Ryiah and severed all ties with the House Araba. She took the Barash Vow and left the Jedi Order to live a life of simplicity and isolation in the nature reserve. Eventually she gave birth to a son, who she named Troine Ryiah. She trained Troi in the ways of the Force. Latter Troi would go on to meet a woman and they would marry and produce grandchildren that would be kidnapped by a dark Jedi cult. During the kidnapping Troine and his wife were killed, leaving Isaline to help raise her grandchildren.

Anazine is a young teenage girl and member of the House of Ryiah who was active during the galaxy in 900ABY. She is distinctive by her mental health struggles and her commitment to help her family.

History
​

Anazine was born to two loving parents with a complicated history. Her father, Daxium Ryiah, was alive during the Clone Wars and had pledged his loyalty to a dark Jedi cult called The Followers of Gemini. The leader of the cult trainied Daxium to be a powerful Force user but betryaed him when Order 66 was issued. To avoid being slaughtered, her father fled to the unknown regions and hid his talents in the Force. He landed on a planet that experienced time differently than the rest of the galaxy. While only a few years went by on the planet the rest of the galaxy experienced centuries of time. When Daxium finally felt the threat of the purge was over he left the weird planet, but did not feel like rejoining the galaxy as a darksider. Instead, he attended university in the hopes that he could find a path away from the darkness and hate. During this time Daxium recieved an advanced degree is psychotherapy and became a psychiatrist for the criminally insane. He fell in love and he and his wife Soline welcomed Anazine into the world.

As a child Anazine was curious and happy. She loved both of her parents and was thrilled with the attention they gave her. When she was five years old howwever her parents told her that she was going to have a baby brother. This worried Anazine because she didn't want her parents to love her any less or to lose the special bond she had with them. She expecially worried about losing the connection with her father, as she had always been a daddys girl and worried a son might be able to relate to her father in a way she couldn't. As all members of the Ryiah bloodline, Anaizine was born with a mutation in her body. In her particular case the mutation effected her mental stability. Anazine started to have panic attacks and anxiety issues over the impeding arrival of her baby brother. To sooth herself from these emotions her psych split and created an alternate personality to help her remove the threat. Anazine was not in control when this happened and has no memory of it or the idenity she created. After the birth of her brother a tragic accident claimed the childs life, and Anazine's mother could not handle the loss. Her mother experienced a psychotic break and tried to end her own life, which Anazine witnessed. Once again this pain was too much for Anazine to bear and she experienced another break in her fragile psyche. Her alternate personality returned to help her cope with the stressful situation.

Her father took over the psychiatric care of her mother and moved the famliy to Zeltros, believing that the pheremones of the planet could be used in an alternative form of therapy. Anazine was not happy to leave her home and doesn't really like the planet Zeltros. She's also been blacking out when her alternate personality takes over her body. She is unaware that this is happening and her father is so focused on her mothers care that he hasn't noticed either.

Anazine is now living life as two disttinct people. Her regular personality, Ana, is sweet and innocent and wants to help the galaxy, while her alternate personality, Ane, is ruthless and vidictive and acts out aggressively.

The Underworld is a sandbox style faction that consists of various small groups all operating in the criminal-laden underworld of the galaxy far far away. The goal of the faction is to offer a place for both criminal and law enforcement characters to come together and create stories. This faction consists of several player created groups who each have their own unique identity. What these groups share is the desire to write in the underworld, whether as the criminals causing havoc or the law enforcers trying to protect and serve.

Types of Characters in The Underworld:

Criminals:

The Underworld is teaming with criminal activity. These characters consist of pirates, bounty hunters, slicers, information brokers, mercenaries, smugglers, and every other kind of crook imaginable. They are known to be ruthless in their tactics and hungry in their desires to obtain the all-mighty credit. These rogues attack, rob, or commandeer ships, businesses or beings as they see fit throughout the galaxy. While their actions are inherently illegal, the morals of the various criminals vary considerably. As mercenaries, they are also known to do other jobs for the right price, including the protection of clients, or contract work for other agencies. Criminal members are clever, resourceful, and relentless, making them very dangerous to those with wealthy enemies The one thing that binds this group is the desire for riches and adventure.

Law Enforcement:

The law enforcement characters in this faction consist of regional and galaxy wide police officers, lawyers, social workers, and even Jedi Investigators who wish to protect citizens from the crime committed in The Underworld. Legal characters come in varieties such as beat cops, detectives, criminal investigators, forensic specialists, SWAT personnel, crime scene investigators, Marshall's, bounty hunters, medical examiners, and even truancy officers, and prison wardens. Every member of this group has sworn to protect and serve wherever the job takes them. Legal characters consist of criminal lawyers, public defendants, tax attorneys, business attorneys, and other legal representatives that do their best to ensure that each citizen served is aware of their rights and that justice is truly being upheld to the highest degree

Prophecy of the Seekers Dawn​

Beneath the waves of Naboo, where the water whispers and the sky holds its breath, a Jedi sleeps—her spirit bound in time's deep current, her body lost to history's embrace. Yet, the Force remembers. The Force calls. She is a shadow of what was, a flicker of light hidden beneath the weight of time. Her name is forgotten to the ages, her deeds buried by the sands of time, yet in her heart, the Force still stirs, and it calls to her.

In the time of darkness, when the stars themselves flicker in fear, there shall rise from the depths of the forgotten sea a Jedi adrift to centuries of slumber. Her name shall be a whisper, a legend cloaked in mystery, but her purpose shall be written in the stars. She will stand at the edge of two eras, caught between the splendor of the old and the promise of the new. In her quiet steps, the galaxy will scarcely take notice, for she has always been but a meek player in a game too vast for her to understand. Her past, haunted by the choices of her youth, binds her with chains of regret, and her eyes cannot see beyond the veil of time.

From the netherworld of the Force she will awaken, her dreams haunted by ancient echoes, her connection to the Force pulsing with the weight of forgotten truths. But the galaxy she knew is gone, and the Order she once served is but a shadow of itself, its roots grown weak with time.

She shall awaken, but not as she once was. The darkness of the ages shall pull at her heart, the weight of history shall cloud her mind. She is the beacon in the darkness, the last light from an era forgotten. To save what is to come, she must shed the past and learn the ways of a new order. A Jedi, a wanderer in the Force, searching for knowledge, seeking balance. To survive, she must shed the skin of her gentle self and embrace the new ways of the Jedi. For in this future, the path is not as it once was. The Force has changed, and so too must she. She must learn to see beyond her own doubts, to stretch her mind and spirit into the true depths of the Force, to unlock its secrets as the galaxy plunges toward a reckoning.

Her path will not be easy. The galaxy has changed, and she must walk in a time that does not understand her, where the old ways are but relics and whispers in the wind. The teachings of the past are not enough. She must adapt. She must rise from her silence, for the fate of the galaxy will be shaped by her actions.

She shall seek the depths of the Force, for it is through the deepest darkness that the light shines the brightest. Her trials shall test her in ways she cannot yet foresee. In her hands, the saber shall feel heavy and taunting. The power of the Force will be her ally, but it is her heart that will carry her through the trials. The darkness will come, as it always does, and she must find the strength to prepare. But she will not face it alone. She will find strength in her new allies, in the bonds forged in the fires of uncertainty. And in herself, she will find the power to rise.

In the shadows of her slumber, an ancient evil stirs—a cult, long thought destroyed, rising from the ashes of the old time. They are the children of the Netherworld, and they seek the breach between realms, wishing to bring darkness into the living galaxy. Their fingers are reaching into the fabric of time, pulling at the veil that separates the dead from the living. They shall use the power of the Netherworld to claw their way into this realm. If the Jedi fails, they will spill over, and darkness will flood the light, consuming all that is good.

A shadow from her past shall rise again, bound to her very soul, and now it seeks her destruction. If she does not stand, if she does not rise to face this evil with strength, the very fabric of her soul shall tear, and she shall fall. She is the last hope against the rising storm. She must embrace her role—not as a silent protector, but as a true champion of the light.

The Jedi who was lost must now be found. The galaxy will either be saved by her hands or consumed by the darkness she failed to fight. It is not enough to be a relic of the past. She must become the future. For only in her courage, in her willingness to face her own fears and to embrace the unknown, can the galaxy be spared.

She shall walk the path of the Wayseeker, but her destiny is not to wander—it is to stand. She will fight for the light, she will protect those who cannot protect themselves, and in her, the Force must find strength once more.

In the heart of the storm, she will rise—not as a forgotten Jedi, but as the savior she never knew she could be. And in her light, the darkness shall be turned away, for she is the beacon of hope in an age of uncertainty.
