Knights Obsidian Lightsabers

I was wondering what the KO philosophy on Lightsabers was.

Do we use them standardly?

Is there a ritualized aspect to building them like in the Jedi/Sith way?

Do we have a crystal supply or do we have to hunt for them?

Are there ones that Cadets can use in battle on a loan system?

I'll let [member="Raziel"] confirm this, [member="Phade"], but I'm pretty sure, that the Saber is a tool, y'know, not just a hack-and-slash weapon, and not just a 'symbol of an order' (read that in a pompous voice).

Its another piece to the loadout, and when your character is ready for it, theyd be able to construct one.

When [member="Isley Verd"] was still running the show, he did create the Obsidian Lightsaber http://starwarsrp.net/topic/30650-obsidian-lightsabre/Which would be similar to how the Imperial Knights (Legacy Comics)

I know Marek doesn't carry one, because he's a loser and was part of the Templar order, but Molly will carry one when shes ready. So, its really up to you how you want to run with it.

Will I need to thread making one?

I know that my Jedi padawan is currently questing for his crystal, will I (Phade) have to do something similar?


EDIT: Or, I could use one of the mass-produced ones. That fits with Phades ideals at the moment.

Go for whichever works. We've promoted a bunch of people through the ACA and its predecessors Force factions without requiring these threads. I know I made Marek hunt a crystal, because its one of those moments I feel needs to be written, y'know/ Raz may want to do a group thread with the cadets we've got now, because we have a good group, and go crystal hunting.

But I can't speak for him.

A thread where you construct your own for the first time is always a good idea, but grab one of those and go for now!

Just a concept that came to mind after this thread.
Seeing as the Obsidian Order is highly motivated by our tech-ed out armor, what if when we hit KNight, or in order to hit Knight, each character needs to sub in their armor, similar to how the Mandos do it. Make our armor the center of our 'philosophy' as it were. Similar to the Imperial Knights?

Just a thought, and a way to make more publicity, cuz Factory
