Bossman? They've met around five minutes ago and barely knew each other. Perhaps, dealing with a common enemy unites even Sith, which was hard to believe as those guys usually don't cooperate much. Is Draco an exception to that? If that is so, then Ree and Sebastian met a friendly Sith, which can be described as pure luck. Still, Sebastian decided to be not too open in case Draco would like to steal whatever caused a disaster on the Osaga. Her assistance, however, was very welcomed and Sebastian couldn't deny how worthwhile it was. Even disobedience could be tolerated because Dracon wasn't from the RTL and hence was free from following orders. Chances it even saved Ree's life as not any of his shots reached their target. Thanks to the stranger, none of the abominations even starred toward the Squib. And when the last one had received fatal damage from Seba's blaster, the room could be considered safe. At least temporarily.

"Thanks, Draco. Guess we can stick to each other for a while. I'm pretty sure we'll see much more of those things.". Van Ruud stated, trying to call Jax over the comlink, who still should be on the other side of the tram station. He still should be there because without a functional data board he won't go anywhere. "Jax, we're not alone on this ship. We've found a force user, a friendly one. And she says there is could be one more, but they can be hostile. So whoever you might meet there, reach me as soon as you can. Sebastian out.".

Then, of course, the issue with the broken car was still there. The arm mechanism looked not very complex. In fact, it looked simple. Extended the claws, attach them to the broken car, and pull it back. That should initiate the replacement procedure by placing the broken car into a pit behind the railings. Sebastian had no doubts that Ree can handle this simple task.

While she may be friendly, obviously she had her own motives. Taking that Relic was certainly one of them, perhaps it would save the rest of the crew? Turn them back into normal and avoid having to entirely kill these abominations. In the meantime though? Draco didn’t give a damn about that, she killed without mercy on her endeavor for the relic.

She followed behind the squib up to the mechanical arm, acting as a bodyguard and continuing their conversation quietly. She stuck close to Under Foot Under Foot because he seemed like the most important here, an actual prodigy for engineering… and of course having personal favorites for him looking so adorable. Her coming along also had some benefits, as if there was an abomination hiding inside the mechanical arm’s cabin, she could easily dispatch it.

“Heavily force imbued, it both enhances the plasma that runs through it and generates most of the field to form the blade. Very valuable too, I’ve heard stories of jedi selling them to remain afloat in times of need… but most you find on the black market were forcefully taken from their owners~“

She seemed rather delighted to share this info with Ree… to inform him that if he ever received one, it was highly likely it’s previous owner was slaughtered for it.

Sebastian van Ruud Sebastian van Ruud should be fine where he is, due to standing in an already cleared spot, and out in the open. Should something come for him, Draco could utilize the force and yank it away from him

All right, so Han Squib-lo he was not.

For some things in life, there was MasterCard. But since these zombies didn't seem the type to take credit, that was a dead end. Luckily, for just such an occasion, there were giant lightsaber-wielding Dracos. "Many thanks and much appreciations!" Ree offered, which he meant quite seriously but with his voice and the mannerisms of his people it likely came across as overly jovial for the situation that they were in.

Scrambling up on top of the control panel, the short furball tried to get a quick assessment of what he was working with.

Mechanical arm controls... were they using a human-type interface? Mon Calamari-type interface? Who designed an interface that required your eyes to move independently and on different sides of your head anyway?

Luckily, this seemed like the standard Corellian type. Which was just a Duros-derivative design. But, mechanical design aspects of cultural appropriation aside, the Squib started working the arms to move the damaged car out of the way

"…but most you find on the black market were forcefully taken from their owners."

"Huh," the Squib uttered aloud, talking as he worked. "I mean, useful if you're working in stolen goods and don't want the owner hunting you down for being the last one holding the bag," Ree remarked, thinking aloud as he worked the arms to clear the path and get everything set.

"Not that Squib Reclamation works in stolen goods, mind you," Ree added, hopping down from the console. Jogging alongside Draco, with her longer stride, the fox-earred alien said, "We just can't always locate the receipts!"

Plus, if each of these lightsaber things were custom fabrications to begin with, how would you even forge a receipt for something like that?

"Sebas, Ree, you did it! The employee of the month is your, fellas. Now, that transport was blocking the whole system... When you get the terminal online, you'll be able to call the transport from the control room. The faster the better. There are sounds I don't like at all. And stay away from the vents! Those things use them to get around the ship.". Jax reached out to his team once the replacement procedure was finished. The console itself notified about it with a short voice message. Now they have to return in the same way as they came here, which means passing through the same cargo room. Sebastian decided not to distract himself with casual talks, and headed to Maintenance Bay to get the spare data board. To not the space rodent to worry too much about his crewmates, Sebastian simply answered 'Roger' on Jax's message. Luckily, the Bay was a room in the same section, so Sebastian just entered there and grabbed the board. Now they were good to go.

However, once the three entered the same cargo room, a loud noise of an unknown beast or a monster ran through the hallway. Even in his helmet, the howl (or what appears to be) made Sebastian close his ears for a second. It made him to lost control for a moment as it was like the sound was piercing him through his head. It was unpleasantly sharp. What's worse, not long after new abominations came into action, but they were different from monsters before. Those were moving by jumping and had a snake-like tail instead of their legs. Since Ree would be much of use as an engineer, van Ruud decided to delegate the task with the data board to him.

"Ree, insert this thing into the transport data array, then follow whatever Jax will tell you. Run! Draco and I will be there soon.". Van Ruud told, passing the hardware to the Squib and getting ready to engage in yet another fight.

The shriek made her flinch, while her suit acted as ear protection, it’s sharp and sudden nature still was shocking, to say the least. She watched these abominations crawl through the ventilation shafts and stand in front of her and the engineers she was deemed protector of… the title of course given to herself by herself, feeling rather high and mighty for not acting like traditional Sith and killing on sight. Her quest to distance herself from what the Sith knew while still holding onto this power was altering to one’s ego, as she tried to walk the path of both light and dark, aspects of both seeped into her personality and drove her choices.

This honestly felt more like a test for her skills and sabers, how she handles under fear and extreme pressure, to protect and escort, handle multiple enemies at once… and this appeared to be handled well. Wanting to show off, she changed out her dual bladed lightsaber for the silver hilt she kept on her thigh, igniting this blade into The Dragon’s Fangs and stepping forward as the challenger to all 5.

Should multiple choose to charge her at once, she could use the force to yank one into another, discombobulating them and leaving her to focus on the others who chose to advance upon her, using the lava crystal this saber was enchanted with to burn and slice through these atrocities like warm butter. She could easily handle two at a time.

In summary, she distracted two with themselves, and cut two down. That left the screeched and two more snake atrocities

Sebastian tossed a piece of hardware his way.

Turning it over in his hands, the Squib glanced at it as he tried to orient his mind to what it was. Meanwhile, Sebastian seemed to be orienting himself to shooting whatever presently needed to be shot. "Right. I'm on it," Ree supplied with his usual level of enthusiasm.

Which, the Squib didn't seem like the only one with some enthusiasm, as Draco was already quarterbacking two of the monsters as Ree set off in a run for the fabled console that would bring the rail car terminal online and give them a means of getting out of this section of the ship. "Jax, I've arrived... I think."

When he had arrived it was a bit of a struggle to identify which slot in the console that the hardware belonged. And then a separate struggle to recognize which end was the right end for the inserting part.

The inserting part was critical in any bit of computer engineering. Very important.

And still, nothing happened. Pulling the cartridge-like hardware out again, the Squib more closely examined it end over end. Was that a memory board in there?

Perhaps there was some dust stuck that was affecting the connection? Bringing the cartridge up to his mouth, the Squib blew into it, before reverseing it in his grip and plugging it back into the console and trying to bring it online.

By some miracle, a different section of the console lit up with new life.

"I think we're in business," the Squib offered.

Then he paused.

"Just maybe not literally, because I don't have a license for this sector."

Which, should he have a business license for this sector? Just what was the corporate tax rate in an asteroid field anyway?

Not only Sebastian has managed to avoid the air assault of the macabre, but he was also able to land some shots into the thing, ending its life. The worse part of dealing with them was the sound they produce when they get damaged. It wasn't just a sound of agony, rather it was straight from the grave. But for Draco, it doesn't seem to be an issue, although constant screams of abominations can have its effect later on. Moreover, Sebastian was sure that she could deal with those things while Ree might need some help with the rail transport system. But before he ran to the Squib, van Ruud sent a couple of shots into monsters surrounding Draco without making sure if he hit them or not.

"Ship-wide transport system re-initialized. All monorails are now operational. A monorail car arrives at the Flight Deck Station now.". A voice message sounded, once Under Foot managed to get the transport computer online. The procedure has also lifted shutter windows, revealing one more problem. Jax with R9 was separated from the rest of the team by a thick window which can be crashed only by a turbolaster. However, comlinks were still open, so communication with Jax was still operable.

"Good work, buddies. I'm on board and heading to the Bridge now. Meanwhile, you guys need to get back to our corvette and try to fix it for launch. I'll find out what I can from the bridge and meet you there.". Jax said being on his way to his destination. Under normal circumstances, Lepi's actions should be sanctioned by his leader. But this time it was fine. In fact, the rodent acted as equal in rank with Sebastian. It was a good sign, but at the same time, it means their stay on the Osaga had just been prolonged. But they can't get back empty-handed. So a team leader, van Ruud needed to state that Jax's actions were correct. And so he headed to the hangar, once Draco returned from the battle. It wasn't too long when the eared one called his team. By this time the trio was approaching the docking bay. "I've made it to the Bridge, it's a nightmare up here. No survivors. I'm going to try and get to the Command computer. Wish me luck."

"Roger. Ree, see if our corvette can be fixed. Or maybe Draco can take away us? I'm sure you made your way here on your ship.". Asked Sebas, knowing that asking a Sith to help the RTL crew to get out of here can be a bad idea. But if that's going to be their only chance to make it from here alive, van Ruud wouldn't have objections.

Locked in deadly combat with little to no support… just the way she liked it. First, she tied the appendages of the snakes together, knotting their tails and keeping them trapped with each other, most likely struggling to free themselves, while she could deal with that abomination of an opera singer. She reached out with the force and grabbed at what should be it’s vocal cords, ripping it out and it along with it to where she could cleave it in half diagonally with a slash. Though sadly after tearing out it’s cords, Sebas tried to assist, and instead shot her in the ass. The plasma bolts were absorbed by her ion shields, and she lit up yellow as if electricity was arcing all over her before she finished the job.

Now with most cleared out, she made quick work fully dismembering every fleshy atrocity that had engaged them, making sure they were dead, before joining Sebastian and Ree in the transport, moving to Sebastian first as her helmet shifted and moved, completely revealing that draconic face. Her glowing Amber eyes showing her affiliation with the sith, her blue scales accented with spots of black along her chin, giving a look of horns, and row after row of razor sharp teeth filled his vision as she softly berated him, whispering as if she didn’t want Ree to hear

“There’s better ways to try and seduce me than shooting my ass, boy.”

For a little more intimidation, she snapped her jaws shut in front of him, then the helmet came back on and she turned to Ree

“I’d much prefer we continue our search for the source first before even thinking on repairs, splitting up the team further would only lead to increasing chances of detrimental failure.”

From behind him, the Squib heard:

"There's better ways to try and seduce me than shooting my ass, boy."

I'll take Inappropriate Workplace Comments Out of Context for 400, Alex. Also, who had shot Draco in the butt? Sebastian? And why would Sebastian be shooting Draco in the butt.

And, while we're on the topic, was this how laser-sword-people normally flirted? Because there seemed better ways to go about that.

"Are we fighting? Or flirting?" Ree quipped in his high-pitched voice, before one of the lights on his googles suddenly lit up.

Throwing an arm out to stop the taller people behind him, Ree used his free hand to drop the scanner-goggles down over his head, even as he took a step back from the docking bay door. "I've got an energy spike," the Squib reported, jumping onto the comlink as he asked, "Jax, can you see what's..."

The ship was rocked by a violent explosion, one which took the Squib off his feet. Deposited on his backside, the Squib glanced up just in time to see the Docking Bay doors engulfed in fire for a brief moment before the blast doors activated, slamming shut over the Docking Bay entrance.

"Not good," the Squib uttered aloud. Scrambling to his feet, the fox-like alien hurried over to a terminal by the blast door. There was a small security monitor that peered inside. "Not good, not good, not good..." Ree repeated, as he worked. After another moment, he got the screen to work.

The interior of the Docking Bay was venting into space. Large chunks of twisted metal were just recognizable enough to be from Sebastian's corvette.

"One of those creatures must have breached the ship. Set off some kind of self-destruct," the Squib mused aloud, before turning to look at the pair behind him.

"Change of plan?" he asked, looking over at Draco.

She seemed like she had something in mind.

"My shot was perfectly calculated, but sometimes I'm bad at math. Jokes aside, I didn't to meant to shoot you.". Sebastian answered while Ree was working with the team's corvette. If he wasn't wearing his helmet which distorts his voice, Sebastian sounded a bit embarrassed because no one flirted with him ever. In fact, he actually finds Draco attractive, but it was the same feeling as other species he liked. Perhaps, he liked Draco a bit more. However, Sebastian's sense of duty was always above anything else. Besides, he was afraid that his affection for a female Sith can impact his career or even life. His parents were never fond of the Empire and wouldn't be happy to know their only son's girlfriend is a Sith. Of course, it was only Seba's assumption. Anyhow, a date with Draco could only be arranged outside of the Osaga, somewhere safer. "But I think we can talk about it once we'll finish our job here. I'm not going anywhere without my crewmate anyway.".

It took some effort to understand what truly happened once Sebastian got airborne and then landed on his back hard. Luckily, he didn't break any of his bones, at least he felt so. He was affected by the explosive wave, after all. As he observed, later on, RTL's team corvette was blown but he wasn't sure why. Perhaps, a critical circuit short as the ship was badly damaged right after their landing. And now it seems Draco's vessel was the only option. They have to locate the source of troubles as soon as possible and get out of here. Even a report of the finding will work.

"Sebastian, what's going there? I heard some heavy explosions.". Jax called out, taking Sebastian away from a numbed state.

"Our corvette has been wrecked totally. I'll ask our new friend, but I'll look for other solutions in case things go wrong.". Sebastian replied.

"Gotcha. Look, I've found a terminal with all information we need, but I need access codes to crack them wide open. Only the captain had them and judging by access logs, last time he was in a medical lab. Find him, I'll stay here for now. Jax out.". The Lepi reported, cutting the comlink channel. After that asked Draco and Ree to follow him with a hand gesture.

"You heard the guy, so yes, we need to change our plan. Let's get those reports, then we good to go. Draco, can your ship fit three more persons? Our corvette was the only ride from here.". Sebastian asked the female as the team was moving to the transport station. Once the car arrived at the station, van Ruud waited till all of them got inside and set 'Medical/Science Facilities' as their next destination. Right now they got around ten minutes to discuss every important topic.

Oh she was not expecting him to ask her on a date. Slightly embarrassed, she was caught off guard by the explosion, but due to the 1000LBS weight of the armor coupled with 300LBS of pure muscle, she wasn’t really sent flying, but definitely skid back from the heat and energy. She saw the footage Ree pulled up of their corvette on fire and huffed in anger.

“I could easily accommodate you three. I’ll have Albert on standby for evacuation.”

She was actually giddy to have the opportunity to show off her elegant ship, gifted to her by her Master in House Io, it was a beautiful corvette with an elegant interior coupled with state of the art engineering and mechanical equipment! It was her pride and joy, and she practically lived out of it.

“I say we should locate this source first, I want it. The power behind this relic that caused the downfall of this ship is immense, and studying the alchemy that was behind it could reveal long lost techniques. Such rapid transformation could see the regrowth of limbs within minutes or seconds”

What a noble cause! Maybe Sebastian’s parents could make an exception? Also put in some good points to try and make her a little more trustworthy with the team

Sebastian seemed of the same mind.

"I could easily accommodate you three."

The Squib's ears twitched. The two tails shifted with curiosity. What was Draco's ship like? Were there more lightsabers there? What did her hyperdrive use for its fuel, antimatter or coaxium? So many questions! And a new ship to investigate.

As an added bonus to, you know, getting the feth out of here.

"...such rapid transformation could see the regrowth of limbs within minutes or seconds," Draco was telling Sebastian, making the case for diving the source of the transformations.

"Well, when you put it that way, it sounds like there's money to be made here," the Squid opined aloud.

Yes, their lives were in danger. Yes, he was thinking about profit motive.

He was a Squib. It's what they did. Its who they were.

And so they made it to the deck. What the trio observed there passing through a security room and then making their way to the main lab was even worse than back at the flight lounge. A lot of bodies were packed in bags, but in the lab, they were laying just on the floor. Needless to say how much "red paint" was on the walls and the ceiling. But Jax's voice all of sudden broke the silence once again.

"The captain in the morgue. You will need to get to it through the emergency wing that is barricaded. I'm pretty sure there should be something in the lab to make an explosive. Let me know when you get the codes.". The Lepi said, leaving Sebastian things to consider. He even didn't note as the team entered the lab. Mostly because he didn't understand why there was a morgue on the superminer. It looked very odd.

The lab was big, that's true. What everyone could notice is a few rows of cryopods connected to multiple storages of cryoban. What was their purpose? Along with them, there were some gas cylinders with TNI-36 known as the Tongue Loosener. Van Ruud heard about this type of gas, however, couldn't guess its usage on the superminer. Perhaps, local doctors knew how to use it for medical purposes. But this gas also was highly explosive, meaning one cylinder would be enough to blow the barricade. But what's truly hooked the engineer is a cargo lift on the upper lab floors. They need to be checked as well. Sebastian wanted to go for them but stumbled upon a holo player with a record. After exchanging glances with the teammates, he decided to play whatever was inside.

The hologram record was displaying two males where the first asks what is happening on the ship, the other says something about God's work. The first one was identified as a doctor, chances are from this lab. The second man then reveals, that during an excavation on the planet's surface they've picked an object which they call the Herald. Then the two start to argue about if they should drop it somewhere as people on the ship started to die since the day the Herald was picked. But the other man countered it by claiming that can change everything. The recording stops when the doctor expresses his worry about this finding and some mysterious ways. Unfortunately, it brought new questions to Sebastian's mind as well. Whatever the Herald was doing, it leads to death. The issue on how that thing does that was still open.

"Any thoughts? Never heard about this Herald. Perhaps, this is another Sith invention? Sith alchemy?". Van Ruud asked, still looking at the recorder.

So much money~ Enough to put your weight in Kyber Crystals, and then some, my furry friend”

Draco said to Under Foot Under Foot . Noting his excitement to board her ship and enjoying the fact that people were so intrigued and interested by her and her assets. Seems she was a sucker for attention and validation. Following behind Sebastian van Ruud Sebastian van Ruud , her and Ree most definitely spent the travel time talking. Sharing ideas, answering questions, the likes!

Finally arriving in the medical area, Draco noted the more intact bodies and their respective bags… seems that it couldn’t revive the dead at some point, so that’s good.

“Oh, 100% Sith Alchemy. You know any other things that mutate a person so heavily?”

Draco spoke as she looked around herself, noting the explosive canisters and Cryoban on hand… very useful. Will use! Probably not on the barricade though, but on a massive group of infected individuals. She let Sebas and Ree do their discovering while she searched for hostiles, mainly relying on personal radar that marked anything that moved in a 20 meter radius

The Squib's fur bristled.

The blood painted across the ship was starting to make his skin crawl. The triangular, fox-like ears seemed to twitch at any sound, as the small alien waited for the next shadow to leap out at them. The two tails shifted, alternating in a showcase of the anxiety gnawing at the Squib as he jogged alongside the longer-legged companions.

Thankfully, the lab supplied a much needed distraction for the tinkerer.

Scrambling over to one of the cryopods, the Squib evaluated the fill level and then started looking around for equipment to decant the compressed cryoban. That search led him to looking for anything that could hold an aerosol under pressure.

"This should have some promise," the Squib mused aloud, tails bouncing happily behind him as Ree picked up one canister and then another. What about a detonator? "Timed or remote?" Ree mused aloud, more so to himself as he began pacing around the lab.

Picking up a bloodied medscanner that was on the floor, the Squib turned the device over several times in his hands. Then moved back a table where he'd laid out several components. Disassembling the scanner, the Squib removed the microbattery and several other components -- which he then began starting to cobble together with the canister from earlier with a multitool from one of the pouches on his belt.

Hopping over to the cryopod, the Squib started filling the make-shift cryoban grenade.

When he had finished, the Squib turned the device over in his hands for a bit, as though inspecting his work. Then, looking up at the others, held the grenade out offered, "Well, it hasn't exploded yet. So I think it'll work."

Squib Reclamation guarantee!

"Most probably, anyway."

"Sort of. Have you ever heard about Korriban zombies? Or Rakghouls? If you watched the recording leery, I guess you understand that whatever has caused this madness here is artificial. Either that or it doesn't have a natural origin, my mother could help us here for sure. The real problem, of course, is how it works. If we find that, we can fight this thing off.". Said Sebastian, noticing that the same word, Rakghouls, can be applied to the local monsters. Perhaps, they can be called Osaghouls since the Osaga was the place where they were encountered first. Later on, it can be changed as well based on what van Ruud and his team will find. But for now, it was enough. "Well done, Ree, we might need it soon. Try to make some more."

Once the human picked two ballons of TNI-36, he headed the same way as they came from, back to the rail station. It was funny since van Ruud has noted the barricade to the emergency wing only now. It could be sliced easily by Draco's lightsaber and make a hole big enough even for herself. Because materials used to block the entrance were nothing more than scrap and some heavy cargo boxes. The problem was if there was anything volatile inside those boxes, Draco could ignite it and thus, explode. That means that TNI-36 usage was totally justified.

"Find a cover, people. It's going to be a big explosion.". The guy said, moving out at a safe distance and waiting till everyone finds a proper cover, then placed balloons with the TNI in front of the barricade. "Safety first" was his motto since the first day of his job and here its meaning was super important. Once done, Sebas shot in the gas cylinders which produced a loud bang and turned the barricade into debris. Van Ruud hoped it didn't damage Ree's hearing, and so suggested moving further with a hand gesture. Aside from the desperate wall printings inside on how people were screwed here, there was a cargo lift. As it turned out, it was a lift to the morgue. Sebastian was very worried about what they might find there. The presence of such a section itself on a mining vessel was a disturbing sign. Why a mining vessel would ever need that?

What the team witnessed down there was even more disgusting. A creature that looked like a bigger version of a Neebray has landed on a dead body, did something and after a moment the body has sprung to life. Not only it was alive, but it also changed into a larger creature they have seen before. Even its amber eyes were glowing. And after that thing has broken the window separating two sides, it rushed to the survivors, aimlessly waving with its blade-like hands. Needless to say, that creature that revived the monster needs to be killed as well as it didn't plan to go away. It seems like the grenade Ree made can be used as intended.

Ok but hear me out here… it’s fun. Makes it all the more spicy! To detonate in a blaze of misery and regret. She stepped back with Sebastian van Ruud Sebastian van Ruud and would even put her hands over Under Foot Under Foot ’s ears if he chose to stay with them.

She looked at the lift and thought it completely natural for a super carrier to have a morgue… what are you gonna do with the old when they die?! Especially if this is designed to stay in space for years at a time. What wasn’t natural was the creature that brought another being back to life and mutated it! She had to have it! So to quickly dispatch of the first one, the lower portion of her helmet raised up, just over her upper lip as the back of her tail began to glow, the black scutes that ran up it beginning to glow a radioactive blue and tracing up her body to her head, where her eyes began to do the same thing before she opened wide and had all 60 of her teeth act as a conductor for force lightning, 6x stronger than what could be used by typical wielders of this technique, the arcs coalesced into what appeared to be a concentrated beam before slamming into the immediately revived abomination, most likely obliterating and vaporizing it.

For the other one… well, she’d try to capture it next turn

"Well done, Ree."

He was a simple Squib. He heard 'good job' and his tails wagged in response. Who didn't like being told they did a good job?

"Try to make some more."

"You got it!" Ree chirped brightly, putting the prototype into the pouch on his belt as he jogged back to the table and started work on production. Now that he had the design down, it was just a matter of replication. Of course, he was custom building these from spare parts, so he had to adjust where there were variations in the pieces he had to work with. But before long, he had a handful of grenades.

Right about that time, Sebastian decided to blow some stuff up.

Thankfully, Draco was there to help cover the Squib's ears. They were as delicate as they were soft!

Once the smoke had cleared, however, it was clear that Sebastian had angered the proverbial bee hive. Something dropped down and then bodies started moving. And then changing. And then there was a host of just bad things all around.

Draco unleashed hell.

Which, hell looked remarkably a lot like lightning.

Ree had several questions as to how she was doing that. Was it the armor she wore serving as a ground? No, that couldn't be the case. How was it not though? Shouldn't the electrical current be grounding through the deck plating of the ship? Just what was the physics of this? How was she ducting the current through the air like that?

Distracted as he was by the Draco's display of space wizardry, the Squib only later looked down and remembered he had a prototype cryoban grenade in his hands.

This wasn't just an opportunity to panic, it was an opportunity to test the prototype.

Thumbing the detonator on the grenade, the Squib hurled the grenade out toward the writing mass of limbs, bones, and sharp teeth...

The moment the creature rushed to the trio, Sebastian pushed away a mobile cot next to him with his leg toward the running thing. Although it worked, because the monster stumbled upon it and fell, it prevented Draco's attack to reach its destination. Or rather the original one. Her lighting had struck the Neebray-like monster, turning it into ash. But Ree's recent invention saved their lives once more as the grenade he threw had frozen the enemy, or seems to be so. Even being affected by cryoban, the abomination was still moving, albeit several times slower. That was enough to finish the thing as Sebastian made several shots into an almost static target, turning its limbs into a nasty goo as a temperature difference between blaster shots and cryoban was too high. High enough for a chemical reaction.

"Let's hope it was the first and the last one.". Van Ruud commented, examining the defeated foe for any valuable assets. After a close inspection, he found a small object which appeared to be a card or an electronic key with numbers carved on its surface. Those were access codes about which ones Jax mentioned. Sebas transferred them over the comlink without waiting any longer.

"Great! Head to the transport station, I'll contact you there once I get everything from this terminal about what happened to this ship. I'm starting to gain access now...". The Lepi said, giving his team some time to relocate. After a moment, he contacted them again. "Change of plans. According to the captain's records, the thing that happened here wasn't an infection. In fact, it was some sort of a relic that miners found inside an asteroid and it's big. The ship's engines are offline, fixing them will be hard. We've got enough information here to let Rimward's Defense Forces do their job, so if the new friend can get us out of here, I suggest getting the hell out of here. What do you think?".

At some point Jax was totally right - the emergency team wasn't equipped to deal with any kind of major threads, nor it was a military unit. Their job was quite simple and the only thing they could do here they have done already. That means that for Sebastian it would be wise to retreat because even with Draco they weren't totally safe. And since Sebas will be in charge of any causalities among his team, he decided not to put his team at any risk no more. He even doesn't care about what Draco will do with whatever she might find here. After all, van Ruud promised Ree his safety and he was inclined to keep his word.
