The whole region around Voss was Sith Empire space for a good while. As a Sith artifact, it got taken to Dromund Kaas, where the Mandos' contractors dug it up.

It's more complex than that, even.
Shards got reclaimed by the Jedi.
Valik, Val'Ryss and Velok raided Tython for them.
Then reforged them.
Then factory sub.
Then came the Contruum Holocron Auction, where Jedi came out of the woodwork and ended up walking into a trap. Despite being the focus of the trap, Aleidis Ijet beat Velok, who had the Darkstaff, and bound his soul so he couldn't come back to life. She then chucked it into the black hole.

Well if it counts at one point I had Becca's blade. I didn't transfer my rank but I did keep my age. If not I will gladly go and have fun questing for it again. I loved that sword
