Let's Play... Catch-Up

"Well... I was sort of hoping that maybe you and I could finally go to the Serpena spa. You know, get massages, manicures, pedicures, facials... General indulgement and relaxation, that sort of thing. The stuff you normally never do. I've been willing to do whatever you and Ashin say... is there any way you and I could, I dunno, maybe relax a bit with me, get yourself dolled up for Ashin? All the hard work you've been going through can't have been good for your body and your complexion. I'd invite Ashin too, but well... She's MIA for the time being."

Circe did raise a point. The last time they were going to go and have a day at the spa, Circe got diverted, blew a shuttle's control up, and got electrocuted by Ashin.

Spencer played on the thought, she was not one to be pampered – she didn’t even do much when she was on Eshan. The women there that were meant to make her beautiful by their standards never did anything. Free pay for no work, how lovely. Spencer glanced towards the wall as she wondered if she could really let go and let others pamper her, Circe seemed to enjoy that sort of life, but Spencer never did. The woman preferred to work hard and continue to work hard; she could sleep when she was dead.

Though, the woman seemed to be in a catering mood and nodded slightly.

“As much as I’d enjoy vacation time – if there is even such a thing in my life, I tend to prefer the company of my lover. Though you’ve done a lot today and I will go with you for a few hours, I do have work and students to return to.”

Once Circe had given her the coordinates, she would have the Peregrine fall back into stealth and head off.

SEVERAL DAYS LATER, SERPENA

Eagerly awaiting the blonde-haired beauty at the luxurious spa was Circe Savan, as usual. Cautiously, she handed the fellow spa goer a white robe, something to wear instead of her current attire and identical(except in size variations, that is). The two women entered the massage room, the first stop on their spa day. Motioning for Spencer to get on the table, undress and slide underneath the towels used for modesty, she smiled. "The masseuse will be right with you. Let me get her. You just close your eyes and relax..."

Circe left the room and returned sometime later with a bit different appearance. She wore a comfortable yet tight white one-piece that adequately hugged her now perfectly tanned curves. Her hair had been quickly dyed, but for the time being, her face remained the same.

"Now, let's get you situated, shall we, darling?"

Taking the robes Spencer looked at them for a moment, she held them close as they made their way towards the massage room. Spencer looked around the room and despite it being quiet, she stood there slightly on edge waiting for something to surprise her. Circe’s voice and instructions cut through her thoughts and she nodded. Looking at the table and towels she knew what she had to do and waited till Circe left the room. Quickly and cautiously, she removed the worn jedi robes and slacks. Her boots rested against the small pile and she quickly slipped under the towels with her back exposed. She looked through the hole and blinked waiting.

A voice echoed and she tensed up once more, so much for relaxing! Something was familiar about the woman, but assuming that the force aura that belonged to Circe was dulled because she was a distance away. Spencer remained quiet for a moment and then coughed.

“Uh, you’re giving me the massage? How long will it take?”

Gently, Circe stepped over to the former First Apprentice of the Empress, carefully bringing over a bottle of scented massage oil - lavender - and lathering her hands with it. "I'd say around a half hour to forty-five minutes." Her voice was soothing, like a siren's song as she began to gently run her hands over Spencer's back, looking for exceptionally tense areas that needed particularly strenuous force in order to relax them. "Just tell me where it feels the tightest and I'll help you by relieving the tension."

That was how massages worked, after all.

Despite the usual reaction, Spencer felt her body tense quickly at the first touch. She held her breath for a moment and then slowly began to relax with the rubbing. It felt nice, though it was easier to relax with the lavender scent. She was fond of it, still despite everything Spencer learned from her cautious Master and the rather spaztic Moridin to remain on guard.

Still, she sighed softly and relaxed a bit, her shoulders loosening up while she felt her body slightly melt against the massage table.

"That's right, Spencer. Just relax and let your muscles be as loose as they can..." Gee willikers, her back was tight. She had probably never had a massage in her entire life. There was a time where Circe would've gladly fantasized about doing what she currently was, but at the moment, her underlying feelings were dwarfed by the concentration being placed on her current work. Finding a right spot in between her shoulder blades , she began to apply a rolling pressure on the area, deeply stroking it and slowly but surely untying the knots in her muscles.

"Your back is very tight, Spencer... And you have excellent skin, far better than most of my clientele."

Spencer nodded slightly as she felt the new pressure on her back. She winced slightly, but the pain soon faded as her muscles loosened up. Laying there she let the woman have at her back and nodded once more accepting the compliment about her skin. Sighing softly she did her best to speak through the table.

“Uh thanks, I don’t do anything different than just washing up. That feels good; I should be good after a few more minutes it’s starting to hurt.”

Cautiously, Circe continued to move her hands over Spencer's back, continuing to make her muscles more relaxed and less stress. However, it was becoming increasingly hard for her to not notice the scars. Eventually, curiosity got the better of her as her skin slowly returned to its green coloration - something Spencer would see by seeing her legs in her peripheral vision. "Tell me... what happened, Spencer? Where did you get these scars from?"

The fact that her flesh had such damage... worried Circe. Greatly.

Spencer once more tensed up, she had hoped the woman massaging her back wouldn’t have noticed or would have just passed over them. Closing her eyes she sighed softly, she remembered the fight that nearly cost her life. Spencer shifted uncomfortably on the table, till she was able to sit up. The woman’s hands holding the towel to her chest covering up her naked frame from the view of the masseuse.

Finally opening her eyes as she exhaled, Spencer blinked quickly seeing the green woman standing there where the Masseuse was supposed to be. Deciding to ask questions later she wrinkled her nose feeling all her muscles tighten once more.

“I fought Anaya Fen on Mustafar, they’re lightsaber wounds. I was foolish during the fight and at times lost control of my Tutaminis. I was lucky; we both left each other to die on that planet. The damage to her lekku that was me. Both of us were left with scars from the fight – but we also left with a different respect for the other.”

A hand moved down as she made sure the second towel covered the rest of her, just leaving her shoulders and part of her midsection exposed. There was only so much one could do with trying to cover up. Another sigh escaped as she blew stray strands of blonde hair from her face.

“Good reminders of when you make a mistake in a fight, lessons learned. Also reminds me of my mortality.”

"True. I still remember fondly when you ran me through with... wasn't it a Spear of Midnight Black? I recall having a pretty big hole in my chest." She chuckled at the reference to mortality. "Yes... mortality. Something I can never show you, considering my skillset and your resistance to most of my Force Powers..." She sighed, still regretting the fact that Spencer and Circe would never have had a chance. If she only had a clone Circe could love...

If only.

Standing Spencer wrapped the towels better around herself as she made her way slowly towards where she laid her robe. Using the Force she held the towel in front of her as she turned her back and released it. The towel hung in mid air giving her some blocking from Circe's vision, the girl was modest of course. Slowly she slipped the robe over her shoulders and quickly tied it around her slender frame. Her arms rested against her small chest as she shrugged. The thoughts of her mortality was something that weighed on her mind more now than ever. There was nothing she could do to protect her from some of her greatest weaknesses - she could only hope that someone who cared about her was close enough to save her.

Thoughts trailed to Ashin, then to Sargon, Jared, lastly to Mikhail. The last thought she wondered if he even cared still. Shaking the man from her mind she smiled softly and shrugged. Possibly it was time for her to go, it was short but things turned dark quicker than she would have wanted it too.

"I do apologize about that, I didn't know what else to do and you were lost in your blood lust. You would have survived either way - Ashin is skilled as well as my self. I was trained to be a Jedi healer, other than that It was a reaction and yes it was a spear of midnight black. Why would you want to show me my mortality Circe?"

The girl raised an eyebrow at the thought, she wondered why she would mention something like that.

"Well, in the event something were to happen that would potentially result in, I dunno... you doing something that threatens my interests and/or the interests of my people, I would rather not have to confront you. The inevitable fight would more than likely lead to one of our deaths, and if not that, then the countless deaths of innocent bystanders. Not to mention the countless amount of property destruction that I know neither of our respective governments would ever want to be forced to pay for."

A solid point, considering Circe's future plans once she hit Master.

As Circe spoke, Spencer raised an eyebrow; of course this wasn’t the answer she was expecting. As Circe finished, the young blonde stood and slipped on her pants under the robe and started to change back into her clothing. Once her bottoms and shoes were on, she used the force to once more use the towel to hide behind and changed back into her tattered tunic. With an odd sense of grace she used the force to braid her hair back while her hands wrapped a thin utility belt around her waist.

“I understand your concern.”

Walking up to Circe she looked at the woman in the eye and with a soft sigh she responded bluntly.

“Then @[member="Circe Savan"], as your friend I suggest you stay out of my way. I wish not to face you in a fight since it’s taken us so long to get to this point. So, it’s in your best interest to remain out of my way – I don’t hide behind doors sneaking about – I burn doors down and demand to be noticed.”

Taking a step back she brushed aside her bangs and nodded her head.

“I’d like to know what is next on the agenda now that we’ve threatened each other.”

"Why burn doors down when you can vaporize them with antimatter charges?" She smiled, glad that the two women were evidently equalized now. "That was sort of fun, actually... Anyways, I'd like to get your help with some of my future plans with regards to the Sith Empire. There's a very high chance I may be replacing Vazela, whose activities the Emperor has been monitoring rather closely. Former Emperor Ardik had a habit of interfering with one of my chief plans, and as such, I'd appreciate you coming with me, helping me with some of my activities. Maybe we could do some shopping in-between."

She paused for a moment, then brought a datapad to her hands. "The world of Raxus Prime wasn't always a scrapheap. It was once home to the infamous XIm the Despot, his chief palace being located on-world. We're so close to finding the palace, with wrecks and parts being sent to the shipyards for ever-increasing refurbishment, and I'd like you to come with me so we can take his treasure. His real treasure."

Crossing her arms over her chest, Spencer leaned against the door and looked at Circe. The woman played into her interests in history and artifacts, but the mention of the Sith and her workings within the Sith higher ups made the blonde cringe. Spencer only enjoyed the Sith when Ashin was leading them, now they were nothing more than animals looking to give someone a bad day. Spencer shook her head lightly.

“As much as I enjoy searching for things Circe, the work would be going towards the Sith Empire – which I have no interest in. If it was for the Fringe and bettering that Confederacy then I would be open for it. I do not willingly work with the Sith – only if I’m ordered to by Ashin. Other than that, I avoid them until it’s necessary. I have my associates that I’ve gathered while I was the First Apprentice, but again beyond that I keep my nose clean of Sith Space.”

“Go with you? To the Sith? Never. The only time I’d ever rejoin the Empire is the day that Ashin rejoins.”

Spencer was confused slightly at the woman’s plans. Shopping was never on her agenda and Spencer found her mind wondering when was the last time she had gotten her clothing tailored. Making a mental note she would have to send her robes to a tailor on Naboo to get hemmed and restored. Fingers threaded themselves through the stray strands of blonde hair; she brushed them back and looked towards Circe.

“You find time for some of the oddest activities.”

"Correction... The work would be going towards me. Anything reaped from Xim's palace would belong to me, not the Sith Empire as a whole. And for assisting me, you too would receive some of the treasure from his belongings. We're talking ancient riches here, not weapons, after all. Again, not asking you to join the Sith. I'm merely asking you to assist me in recovering some lost treasure."

Simple enough, right? "Shopping isn't that odd... It's nice to be dressed upscale sometimes."

@[member="Spencer Jacobs"]

"I don't have the courtesy of time to just waste it shopping Circe, so I'll have to decline that request. As for the artifact searches I'll have to ponder it. There are some things in this galaxy that aren't meant to be plundered."

Spencer stared off into the distance beyond the room as she pondered the requests. She wondered if there was ever any limit to one's greed and desires. Chuckling softly to herself, she figured these questions were deeply rooted in her lessons with the Jedi. The simple life was something she learned to love and she would forever enjoy it.

"I suppose that's that, then..." Circe sighed. "I'll be on my way. Hope to see you soon, Spencer. Always a lot of fun whenever you're around. Gives me an opportunity to take my mind off the blandness that typically is my existence." She smiled, then turned away, taking a couple steps before pausing and turning back to the Force-born. "Actually, there is one other thing I'd like to give you. I got one from the same place one of the Sith Masters got theirs, but never used it..."

Tossing a tube-shaped object to Spencer, she would open it and find it was intriguingly enough, a tube of dark red lipstick, the cor of a black cherry. "Does wonders for your appearance if you ever feel in a darker mood one day." The smirk on Circe's face was so evident, it could be seen for miles.

"Now go and start yourself a trend."
