Little Talks

The Eternal Queen
She couldn't help but roll her eyes at her husband like an annoyed teenager. In response to his warnings, she poured herself another glass. Stubborn.

"CIS! I thought I recognized you."

She smiled, turning her attention back to the other woman.

"It is a shame we haven't met before this, really."

I gave a light huff when @[member="Keter"] asked if I was tanning. Like I really needed it given my skin. "No." I simply said. "Just swimming and sharing drinks really." I caught the litte tension between the two when it came to @[member="Feena Mason"] drinking. I obviously didn't say anything. Not my place after all. I turned when the Archon mentioned the CIS and how she recognized me. I smriked a little and said "Yeah, a shame we didn't. But the time we saw each other we were about to be dropped into a hot zone. So there wasn't exaclty time to talk." I shurgged a little before turning back to Keter to see what he would have to say. If he joined us or not didn't bother me really. I was still trying to keep myself from fixing my swimsuit in front of them despite how uncomfortable it was starting to feel.

Keter sighed at his wife's ignoring of him, but she did that sometimes. Couldn't be helped. He smiled anyways. She really was turning back into her old self. Siqa's casual dismissance of him was a disappointment, but again that was nothing new. He just nodded in response. "Well, you've chosen fine company indeed," he complimented before bowing his head to the two women. "In any case, I believe I should leave you to your business talks. Feena, mind watching my clothing whilst I swim?" Never hurts to remind people that the Archon is just a person, with as much domesticity as anyone else. Would probably help put Siqa at ease more too, seeing the almighty Archon bickering with her husband like any married couple.

He was leaving? Backing out of the conversation again. He could be so awkward sometimes. Feena actually frowned... until he mention swimming. If he did that, clothing would surely come off. She wouldn't mind that.

"Not a chance, Darling. I'm not going to let you swim and have all the fun without me," she downed the rest of her glass and turned her attention back to @[member="Siqa"] with a smile, "Going to join us for a swim too?"

Feena stood up, untied the sarong around her waist, stepped out of her sandals, pulled off her white sunhat and shook out her black wavy hair. It would be time for another dose of medicine soon, but for now, she was not going to think about that. The wine hadn't hit her system yet and she was going to enjoy herself while she could.

The question of me joining them for a swim came up. I blushed a bit, though they couldn't tell, at the idea. Me joining a married couple for a swim seemed....irregular. Then I noticed as Feena stood and I was able to look at her body in ths swim suit she wore. I found myself staring for a second, admiring her before I glanced away, knowing it was wrong of me on so many levels, before shrugging and saying "I....I don't know if I should I don't to impose or anything on you two."

He let his gaze linger on his wife as he nodded. He would keep an eye on her since she had been drinking. Best they didn't swim out far. And inviting the sith made sense. The other woman would be able to keep an eye on Feena. The blond waved his hand as he pulled his tabard off, then the shirt. "The more the merrier, as my wife always says," he casually replied to the pureblood, turning to Feena. "Shall we?" he asked, his pale skin shivering in the sudden cool wind, heavily marred with scars.

As her husband stripped, she watched him closely. She didn't bother hiding it. She missed watching him remove layer after layer, just for her... Even the scars were beautiful to her. Had it really been that long for them?
She suddenly cleared her throat when she remembered that she had a new friend with her.

"Oh! Of course! Yes. Join us! I love getting wet," she paused for a moment, realizing how that sounded, "In the water, I mean. With... you know, water."

Without further explanation, she pushed a thick lock of black hair behind her back and started walking to the water.

Even I picked up on what the Archon had said. I couldn't hold back a good smirk before shrugging and saying "Okay then." Still feeling a bit awkward by all of it. I waited until they got in first before I wasted no time in just running in and diving under. I swam about for a bit, just taking in that relaxing feeling, before coming up for air near the couple. "I hope I'm not being a third wheel or anything." I said to them as they swam.

Keter shook his head with a grin as he followed his wife into the water, diving beneath, his red eyes clearly visible in the clear water. He swam out a bit before circling back, holding his breath as long as he could before coming up for air. Swimming was so...alien to him, even after all this time. He had never imagined being able to swim, or ever having to know how to swim in the first place. If you fell into liquids in HUtta, you dissolved. That's all there was to it. He shook his head clear of the memories as he smiled at the women. "Not at all Miss Siqa. My wife is very fond of making friends," he shrugged as if helpless.

As for Feena, she took to the water as if it were the most natural thing in the Galaxy. Growing up on Naboo, well, it was pretty obvious. That planet had lakes everywhere. If you didn't know how to swim, then summers would be quite boring for you.

Well as long as I wasn't intruding or anything. I just relaxed in the water. I perked up now and then to see what the two important leaders for the CIS were doing while I was just rleaxing in the water and sun. I had to admit they seemed a nice couple. Made me wonder though how the life of a busy person like the both of them would be. Do they see each other often? Do they make time for each other more than whatever busniess they had? Did they see thier kids that often? I did hear about a daughter before and I looked to see she wasn't around.

I swam up and asked "So, uh, you have a dughter, right? Is, uh, is she around? Or doing okay?" I realized how awkward the question sounded but I was genuienly curious.

"Oh yes. We have two daughters, actually," she answered, once it became clear Keter wasn't going to say anything, "The eldest, Felicity is six years old. And Celeste is only two months old."

...Saying it out loud, Feena actually felt bad for leaving Celeste behind. She glanced at her husband guiltily. She was really just stalling. Trying to escape. It was easy to avoid guilt when you justified your abandonment as a 'vacation' or as 'work'.
Slowly but surely, she was starting to realize.

"Aw. They sound adorable." I said, still trying to be friendly. I did make me wonder why they hadn't come along. Maybe they were just sick or didn't feel like coming and were left with a babysitter or something. It's happened before. I just hoped that WAS the case and I wasn't trying to avoid what could be a really bad turth. "So, uh...how long have the both of you been married?" I tried to take things off topic.

Keter caught his wife's look and smiled reassuringly, swimming up around her to embrace her from behind. "Sadly our Archon is too much of a hard worker, providing for her family," he explained, smiling at their guest. "Which is why we're taking a few days to ourselves before returning to the girls so that she may...remember what it is not to have to work all the time," he teased, letting his hand run down Feerna's side beneath the water before laughing. "My family is looking after them until then though," he added to head off any potential concerns. "Do you have any children?" the blond asked diplomatically.

He cocked his head to one side, thinking. "Well...we got married when Felicity was...two or three? So only about four years."

@Siqa@Feena Mason

The Eternal Queen
The question was a good one. Even Feena forgot sometimes. It felt like a lifetime, but honestly, she felt married to him even well before the wedding. He served the role of husband for the longest time in her mind.
Lately though, things had been stale with them. She hardly saw him unless it was work related. There was no romance, no passion. Most of the time, they didn't even sleep in the same bed. Feena was always staying up well into the night, then falling asleep in her office. This vacation, (she hoped) would put a little more... excitement in their marriage.

...And it seemed to be doing the trick. Her face went bright red. His hand under the water... he was getting frisky. Not what she had come to expect of his recently. Perhaps he was feeling as 'frustrated' as her.

"Err- yes. About four or five years..."

That made her wonder. When was the last time either of them celebrated their anniversary. It would be coming up soon...

Hearing the numbers they gave I said "Oh, I see." It may not have been long compared to most but still they seemed happy enough. As much as would've added that it was only a matter of time before thing would fall apart fot them I wasn't in that type of a mood to do so; that and why ruin a god vacation for them. I saw as @[member="Keter"] came up from behind and then saw the look on Feena's face and how she was blusing. I almost did myself at the idea of what they were doing under the water. They they asked me if I had children. I looked both surprised and a bit embaressed to answer.

"Uh...hehe, no. I'm not exaclty one to settle down and have kids.....with a man." I stated awkwardly, looking at both of them so they woudl know.

He let go off Feena, letting his hand linger on the small of her back as he nodded at the Sith. "Of course," he replied understanding her meaning, smiling slightly despite himself. "Sorry to be the one to dash your hopes of marrying the Archon then," he teased with a laugh, imagining the mortified look on Feena's face. Before she could scold him or tell him off for inappropriate behaviour, he dived beneath the water. Swimming truly was wonderful.

Oh. So it was like that with her. Feena didn't even bat an eye. It was hardly anything to be embarrassed about. Feena herself had experimented when she was younger, and while those experiments didn't lead anywhere, they certainly gave her perspective.

Her husbands comment received a very dirty look from the Archon. Not appropriate at all.

"Forgive him. He was raised by Sith," she realized how that sounded only a second too late. Blushing even worse than before, she shook her head quickly. "Not that there's anything wrong with Sith! I-I mean, the race. O-or the religion! Nothing wrong with that either!"

The wine was really starting to get to her now.

I gave an anooyed look to @[member="Keter"] before he dived under the water. It wasn't like I was planning on trying to take her away from her or anything. Upset as I was by that I just shook my head and let him have his little joke before Feena made her comment. I looked at her oddly before she tried to recover with her little explination. I smiled and chuckled a bit before saying "No, it's fine. I was rasied by them too and, well, didn't exaclty fit with what I wanted. That's why I joined with the CIS to begin with. I may be a Sith but that doesn't mean I want to be one."
