Looking for Kujo on Lujo [OS Dominion of Lujo]

Khan Ra

Monster Cat Redefined
Location: Plain, near the edge of a forest, On Lujo
Objective: Study native flora and fauna, to help assess the viability of partially vong forming on the planet.
Mentions: [member="Melori Raaf"]

Khan Ra walked quietly through the forest, keeping his senses peeled for any sign of... anything really. Twice they saw the furry deer-like creatures from before, but nothing else. Some birds sung in the trees above, quieting themselves as soon as the two Sith got close. Predators were likely to hunt at night... Not in broad daylight. They should have landed on the other side of the planet. Though they saw several more f the green furred deer-like creatures. It was if the forest was overrun...

Objective: Help construct a One Sith/Fringe embassy for trade and alliance discussions
Ally: [member="Nyrrea Danton"]
"Very good. This project is very important to the Sith," she answered the green skin beauty. There was much that needed to be done and with the arrival of the Twi'lek to assist her, the work can be doubled and the embassy erected more quickly. She whistled at two engineers to join her and the newcomer. "She is here to help us. From now one...you two will listen to everything she tells you. You both know what is expected from us and gentleman, we need not remind you how we feel about failure."

Her focus switched back to the Twi'lek. "You shall begin constructing the foundation for the embassy to rest upon. From there you will begin to erect the building itself. The engineers have the blueprints but please feel free to make any corrections you see fit. The Dark Lord wants perfection." She looked over at the labours and the massive crates where the materials were stored and pointed, "There you will find everything you need to get started. If you have any questions now or during the operation...ask them freely. One more thing, the labourers are not to be mistreated. Are we clear on that? If so, you may begin at once."

The Knight followed, if a bit reluctantly — and certainly not stubbornly, let that be absolutely clear — and joined the Sith Lord at the crate he'd pried open. She peeked over his shoulder, casually eyeballing the contents of the large container before snatching the bottle out of his hand. She lifted it up to the glare of the sun, inspecting the warm reds and oranges that played off of the shifting liquid inside.

Instead of voicing an opinion based solely on the brand name and the pretty color of the drink, Vrag swiftly pulled out the cork and pressed the cool glass to her… plink. Well, feth. And that, children, is what happens when you forget to retract your visor.

"Oh, for feth's sake….kark!" she let go of the bottle as she reached to wipe the stained transparisteel, cursing all the while. "Don't you dare," she pointed a threatening finger at Reverance as she let down the cursed visor, her lips quoting expletives unending. After a few more seconds of colorful vocabulary that would make a smuggler blush, the woman finally calmed down, clearing her throat with a rather angry expression on her face.

"How much of that Redoubt rum left?" Her voice was rougher than usual — perhaps from all that cursing. Who knows? — and the lame attempt to change the topic was as transparent as her visor used to be before it got all sticky with whiskey.

The woman glanced around as the ruckus got louder, her gaze passing over countless workers and machines that flocked towards the building site. By the looks of it, the structure in the making would be truly grand; a testament to the might of the One Sith, and a reminder that a good day of pillaging and murder would always followed by quality drinks and free party for all.

Well, most of them, anyway.

Nyrrea nodded as she was given her task, " Of course my lord." She turns to look at the two engineers, " Show me the blueprints and we shall begin with the construction."
She followed the men over to the makeshift table they had built using storage crates and looked down at the plans.

" If you will notice, the structure will be sound and secure. There will a checkpoint at the walled gate to ensure that no one can even get close to the building without clearance. Once inside the gate there will be several security measures in place...."

" Stop.. I do not care about how secure you believe it will be. Set the placement of the foundation, once that is done i will walk it and ensure that it matches the blueprints. i trust you understand the importance of this building." She didn't understand the nuances of how building were build, but she knew all about how to get into one once it was built. She was going to have to rely on her abilities as an assassin to make this place as hard as possible to get into. She smiled at the thought of using her ability to break into places to keep people from breaking into this building.

He turned a mocking eye away from the mishap, swallowing a laugh at the threat that was far more welcomed then [member="Vrag"] might have suspected. It had been a while since he had felt the nails of [member="Matsu Xiangu"] against flesh, threatening and promising. The small framed human was far more capable of damage than what her appearance suggested, part of the allure of her persona, along with a number of other things. Oh well, his mind drifted away from idle and fluster causing thoughts as he remembered his reasoning for being on the planet. Construction! He scratched his face, a proverbial slap across the cheek, trying to get back into the groove, and continue to swallow what chuckle tried to escape. He rubbed the back of his neck and thought.

"Not much, the good doctor has a lead belly." Alset, despite his temperament and sophisticated mannerisms, fought boughts of Alcoholism that seemed to persist, rather than be deterred, in the face of expensive and unique alcohol. The construction was beginning slowly, framework being put up as molds of duracrete stone were filled to the brim and set out to dry. Caustic and simmering, the work created shimmers across the air, as a crimson gaze turned to the glassworkers, hard at work setting up temporary camp and furnaces. He turned his eye back to the crate and pulled another bottle from it, uncorking it, and taking a swig. To test the quality, of course, as he began to walk across the way.

His intent, to discern the native seed stock that was currently being transported from nurseries across the planet. Saplings, rooted cuttings, things used to create a manicured view of the embassy and new Sith home base. It wouldn't have the same sort of drab appeal that Sith locations were often characterized by.

Objective: Constructing the Embassy
Allies: [member="Nyrrea Danton"]
With the embassy's main structure delegated to the Twi'lek, it now freed the Sith Lord to pursue the creating both the defenses and housing unit for the Ambassadors and their guests. The housing unit would be the first to go up. She had carefully went over the intricate designs of the the outer and inner walls of the building. She wanted the outside structure to have a representation of the One Sith and the Lords of the Fringe architecture combined together to symbolize unity. For this, she had sought out a engineer known to frequently aid in the creation of Fringe buildings. Together with her engineers they had also agreed on a unique plaque above the entrance with the symbols of both the Fringe and OS looped together.
The inner walls, when ready for decoration, would be adorned with paintings and holographic images depicting the two group's most famous people in their respective Orders. Also, busts of the current Ambassadors on small marble pillars would be placed at each entrance, or exit, and swiped out in the event one or more of the Ambassadors had changed. She had contracting a well known sculpture from Coruscant to create the busts, and was highly pleased with the finished product.
Once the building's initial set-up was complete, the six rooms would be laid out and erected. Not wanting to offend the Fringe's Ambassadors, she would leave their three rooms empty allowing them to bring in whomever they desired to make it more comfortable for them. As a second thought, she did the same for the OS ambassadors. The kitchen and small eating section would only be used for small snacking sessions. The main kitchen and banquet hall would be added to the main Embassy building itself. The bathrooms would not be unisex, so the two bathrooms would be fancied by the sex using them.
The roof would be created in a slanting position to prevent water build up from rain or snow, if it snowed here, depending how the shift in the planet's temperate climate went. The housing building, she envisioned, would not be to elaborate since it's main function was to serve as sleeping quarters. She smiled to herself as she watched the foundation being laid. She was proud of what she was trying to accomplish.

Location: Plain, near the edge of a forest, On Lujo
Objective: Study native flora and fauna, to help assess the viability of partially Vong forming on the planet.
Mentions: [member="Khan Ra"]

Melori walked and walked. And then she walked some more. You could only see so many trees and birds and plants and flowers and furry deer before it became monotonous and frustrating.

And then it occurred to her. There were simply too many fluffy and cuddly things for there to be any natural predators. But she was to natural history expert and so called out to the closest Sith. "Hey, Khan-Ra. I was thinking, an there be an eco-system without predators, I mean these pointless deer things seem to have the monopoly on this forest and they don't seem frightened of us. Does that mean there are none - or are these the top of the food-chain?"

She glared at one to see if they had hidden fangs she should be aware of, but just saw them frolic and gambol and eat grass and be generally boring and unpleasant. "Or is it the wrong time of the day?"

Khan looked around the forest as they walked on, taking note of everything. The deer-like things didn't seems cared of them. Perhaps they'd never seen sentients before. There was definitely more then you would expect to see in one area... Why? Khan briefly considered [member="Melori Raaf"]'s idea that there may be no natural predators, but very few ecosystems exist without something that eats meat. Her second guess was more likele; perhaps they was nocturnal...

"Possibly." He had considered if perhaps the deer were carnivorous, perhaps they were the predators... but their antlers looked to frail to be permenant weapons, and they had no visible natural weaponry. If they were predators, they would not be useful as war beasts. And they were eating grass... so there was that too.

Khan stopped abruptly, sniffing the air. He and the deer caught it first, both with more attuned senses then the average human, but it was only a second before it got strong enough for Melori to smell easily as well. An... odd smell. Hard to describe. Some of the deer, however, seemed to reconize it instantly. Many of the green-furred creatures; the oldest ones, the largest ones, most of them with large scars or small healed injuries, were quick to run, in the direction Khan and Melori had come from. That smell was something for them to fear. Well... some of them. Others- the youngest ones, the ones scar-free, turned towards the scent.

Khan didn't move, watching the deer. The ones that had stayed were slowly moving towards the scent. First one, then another, then a third... Soon the two dozen or so that had stayed behind were moving slowly forward. They seemed to have forgotten about their meals, they seemed ot ignore Khan and Melori. They moved almost as if they were in a trance.

The Felactian stared at them for a moment, glanced back at the other Sith accomponying him, and followed them.

Alric Kuhn

Handsome K'lor'slug
Objective: Vacation
Location: Beaches
Character: Kiran Vess

A large pink muscular man stepped onto the top of the the stark white sand dune. The contrast between him and the clear blue sky was impossibly imposing and if anyone else had been on this beach they likely would have found Kiran Vess to be quite a sight.

Luckily for him, there was no one else on this beach, and that meant that he had the entire thing to himself. A grin passed on his face, a large beach Umbrella under his arm, a cooler in his hand, and some sunblock on his nose. He stepped down on the dune, a wave of sand falling like a mini-landslide, carrying him with it for just a few seconds. The Son of Titan stumbled slightly, but with expert coordination righted himself almost immediately.

He let out a little laugh, then moved down onto the beach.

This was the first vacation that Kiran had received in three years, since he began training the other Sons of Titan. Alric had granted him this leave of absence due to the remarkable performance of his men. He was only...humanoid after all, and he needed vacation, some time away from everything. All of the Sons would get it eventually.

Force knew they had the money to spend.

"Oh."

She didn't sound too disappointed, though, and it was no wonder, in truth. Their little excursion on Redoubt was certainly interesting, but that was about the only thing Vrag was comfortable calling it. Most of the night was a blur, but she remembered just enough to wish she didn't. The Knight simply didn't do stuff like that, and while she had great respect for the Sith Lord as a fighter and leader, the woman was unsure how she felt about having shared what she did with him.

With a low growl and a shake of her head, the woman dispersed the unsettling thoughts, eager to busy herself with menial work and forget all about it. She caught Reverance's stride with a few longer steps, glancing down at the slightly smaller man.

"Please tell me those plants are for the embassy," she said as her blue eyes followed the workers carrying around the uprooted flora. "If we build one more of those 'hurr durr we're dark and evil' places I swear I'm going to break somebody."

She still felt unpleasantly exposed since her visor was down, but Vrag distracted herself by yanking the bottle out of the Vong King's grasp and taking a hearty swig herself. Nothing like two buzzed Sith prancing around a construction site. What could possibly go wrong?

Objective: Beer and booze and stuff.
Allies: [member="Vrag"] | [member="Darth Valtryx"]

"Aye..." He said quietly, looking down at the stock. Walking over, he pulled the saplings out of the watered containers, now having a hand free what with having his booze yanked from him. People have died for less, but he was in an odd and sort of constructive mood. Either way, he inspected the plant, though he had no true experience for the native species, he appreciated the notion of keeping things native. "Too often you walk into the domain of the Sith...death everywhere. It seeps into construction, in the buildings...into the art." He didn't mind the art too much, remembering a picture he saw on Annaj in Matsu's estate. "It gets to be a bit tiresome..." He said as he motioned towards the glass workers.

"They're going to be set up her for weeks, building a...monastary, if you will. It will serve as the embassy between the Fringe and the One Sith. But honestly..." He smiled as he turned back to her. "I just wanted an excuse to build a really nice bar." He had hoped he would eventually get a bar with something similar. But until then, it would have to do.

Objective: Visit an old place
Location: Somewhere snowy

Memories filled the Sith as he made the long track through the snow, biting wind cut into his skin, and as he exhaled the air and damp froze over instantly and created little chrysalide structures up in the air. The memories pertained to a different lifetime, he had been here before on Lujo with the Lords of the Fringe.

Well, not him, him and it was important to make this distinction. Settling back into old habits wasn’t the way to go after making such life-altering decisions on your own time, it would seem to much as a waste and that was the last thing the Voice of the Dark Lord wished to do - waste his own time.

Carach was heading to an old fortification, a… temple of sorts. He wondered if there were still people there, or if it had been abandoned after the rapture and the billions had disappeared. Fringe presence here was sparse these days, it could very well be that there was no one around anymore.

In that case his plan would be far simpler to accomplish, he had left something there and him was curious if it was still around to be taken, the Sith hoped so. It would be helpful in the long run.

It was all coming together now.

The Umbrella was stuck deep into the white sandy beaches, his cooler was placed down against the ground, and he slowly unfolded the towel. He smiled slightly, looking at the large Towel. It was of course a Titan Industries beach towel, designed to be extra absorbent. There was a large logo on it, one that resembled the tattoo on his chest.

A large T with an amphistaff biting its own tail surrounding it.

Kiran fluttered the towel in the wind for a second then placed the towel onto the ground.

“Yep. This is the life.” Kiran said to himself as he observed his surroundings. A look of deep satisfaction crossed his features and slowly he sat himself down on his towel. The sound of crashing waves and the calm breeze pressing against him was more relaxing than anything he could have imagined.

He deserved this.

"I think," she said as she tapped her chin, wiping a trickle of whiskey from the corner of her mouth. "I think that people have trouble separating business and pleasure." She nodded sagely and rewarded herself with another deep swig from the bottle. Philosophical thoughts need fuel, after all.

"A monastery?" she asked with a quirked eyebrow, but the man answered her question moments later. "Oh, I see." She let out a chuckle and shook her head slowly, wetting her lips with the fine whiskey again. "I wouldn't mind a bar, honestly," the Knight maneuvered between the workers as they walked closer to the construction site, her blue eyes scanning the embassy in the making. "After this mess with the Netherworld ends, it'll be nice to have someplace to go for... relaxation."

"Who's the architect for this thing?" the woman inquired, happy that this one wasn't going to end up all doom and gloom. "We should send a casket of this to the man," she said as she sloshed the brown liquid in the bottle. "He certainly deserves it." It was probably the alcohol, but Vrag was feeling unusually verbose today. Odd.

Objective: Beer and booze and stuff.

He thought for a moment as she presented the question, curling his arms across his body as he sniffed the planet. "I can't seem to recall..." Being cursed with his particular form of memory, he well knew the name, as he re-envisioned looking at the orders for construction. Samuel Ghant, a man of very little rapport, except in the world of architecture. Another individual brought over from the science division of Titan Industries, he was one set in his youth but seen as quite the artist. But instead of speaking words towards the identity, giving life to a name that held little value, Gabriel merely paused in thought as if attempting to conjure identity. Giving a smirk and narrow shake of the head, he shrugged. "I don't remember...but you're right, he should get a reward once things are done." Good work equals reward, that was the template of work for the One Sith.

For those who had fared well in the conquest, they had reaped what they sowed. Which just so happen to be effort met with consequence, the kind sort. Unlike Vrag, Gabriel was hardly feeling as loquacious as he had in the Redoubt cluster, the scenario often resembling mutual confession. He wouldn't pry like that again, not for some time he estimated. Instead, he turned back and placed the plant in it's rightful spot in the box. A boy came by, not more than 18 years of age, and ferried it towards a raised hill at the front of the monastary. Plowed earth was quickly scooted out and replaced with sown plants, covered in a healthy dose of topsoil. He continued to cross his arms, watching the construction process, as the foundation was forming rather quickly and the skeleton was being erected. "We'll send a cask to him as soon as the work is complete..." He spoke, watching intently on the process, not speaking to anyone in particular.

“You really do need a tan, Kiki.”

The voice would sound jovial and teasing, coming behind the Son of Titan from a slender waif of a Zeltron woman carrying her own beach bag and towel.

She wore an ittty bitty teeny weeny yellow pokadot bikini that honestly was more akin to four scraps of fabric than a real covering.

Granted, that was going to come off in the next few minutes. Tanlines are evil y’know.

The beach bag fell right beside Kiran, sending a sprinkle of sand grains over his thigh. A flutter of her blue towel came next, the short pixie like hair fluttering in the wind before she’d settle down beside him.

“Getting pale right there. They don’t let you out much, do they?” Aeri would flash him a soft teasing grin.

Had to, they rarely saw each other anymore. Couldn’t risk things.

Objective: Construct a One Sith/Fringe embassy for trade and alliance discussions
With the housing unit's construction underway and the departure of her associate, she now focused her attention on the embassy building itself. She looked over what had been done so far and was somewhat pleased. The Twi'lek had followed the plans perfectly before she left and Darth Venefica would pick up where she had left off.
"Those two pillars appear to be slightly askew," she pointed out to the two engineers standing next to her. "Perfection gentleman...perfection. Have them dug out and resettled. Reinforce the base structure if you have to."
While the engineers went to work fixing the pillars, she walked around inspecting the rest of the semi completed building. Other than the pillars, everything seemed to be in order. Even with the absence of her assistant, the embassy would be completed ahead of schedule. With the arrival of the electrical technicians, the building was now set to have power installed making it possible for the computer terminals and various electronic devices to be added.

He scowled.

Sand was now all over his beach towel. He gave her an annoyed glance, but decided that it was better to dismiss it entirely. He rarely got to see her now a days, they were both so busy with their assigned tasks, it was better to just ignore it and move on.

“Yeah yeah.” He said quietly, reaching over to his cooler and popping it open.

The Cooler popped open to reveal several bottles as well as a myriad of ice. Kiran rummaged around for a few seconds then pulled out two individual bottles. From somewhere on his person he pulled a small knife, with two intricate points of contact he popped open the bottles and handed one towards Aeri.

The other he kept for himself, taking a small sip.

“Why so glum Kiki?” yes, she called him Kiki. Yes, it might just irk him. And yes, she really didn’t care.

It amused her. Companion training meant that one had to put the needs of the client first and foremost. And while her Cafarel and Companion training was above reproach, there were times when it was nice to just sass her cousin.

She took the bottle and off went her top.

Ahhh… this was nice.

She nodded absently as she kept sipping on the excellent whiskey she'd so shamelessly stolen from the Sith Lord, lapping at the amber beverage as if it were water. Her esophagus had been transformed into a tube of durasteel by her recent excursions, it seemed, but the woman was hardly complaining. Topped off with her fast metabolism, her tolerance for alcohol had reached a whole new level now.

Gambling dens, beware, the firrerreo snickered to herself as she swallowed one more swing from the bottle, offering the rest back to the original owner.

"Have you ever played Sabacc, Rev?" she inquired as her blue eyes followed the boy as well, watching him plant the greenery that would one day form a lush garden around the monastery. The choice of words, 'monastery', still baffled her — or maybe that was the buzz of whiskey, who knew — but she was hardly one to get held up on such inconsequential details. Monastery, church, abbey… it was all the same to Vrag.

"Pazaak, maybe?" she tried again, turning to face him with a small smile on her face. She wondered if the man was as good at cards as he was at killing. Whatever the case, going a round or two with him would probably turn out amusing, especially if they were going to test more of that whiskey they'd brought along.
