Lost in Space

[member="Kay Arenais"]

“Thanks Kay.” He says. He knew that he can count on her. She always been there for him. “Tell you one thing, this is most comfortable bunk I’ve been in. . This place is something. Every rich looking”

He yawns his body was tired from the day events. His eyes were fluttering as he fought to stay awake a little longer. Medical droid rolled in and changed Hawk’s IV and checked his vital. “Visitors time is over. Patient needs to rest.”

Kay laughed a little. "Well I should hope that a government building such as this doesn't look like a poor house. But you're welcome. It's the least that I could do after all that you've done for me through the years." [member="Hawk Solo"] was her best friend back then. And she cherished that friendship, always.

She looked to the med droid and nodded as she got to her feet. "Well, you heard the medic. You need your rest. I'll come by to visit you again a bit later. In the meantime..." She looked to Lori. "..I've got some catching up with my daughter to do."

Lori looked up at her, and nodded. They did have a lot of catching up to do. She had had her first bit of heartbreak and that was something that she knew her Mom would understand.

Taking Lori's hand, she led her daughter out of the room and headed up to her apartment.

“Night.” He says to Kay and Lori. Soon after they leave Hawk falls asleep. The two week flies by for him. He most of the first week sleeping and getting used to eating solid foods. The second week was most spent doing physical therapy and trying to catch on things that he missed. He reached out to few acquaintances and friends. Kay and Lori visited when they had the time.

Today, the medical staff was going to release him from their care. He was excited to get out of there. Time to start living life again. He wasn’t sure if wanted to be a Jedi anymore. Not after reading what been happening since he been in hibernation. Maybe he could join Lori on some adventures.

During those weeks, Lori and Kay had a lot of catching up that they did. And both were unsure of what the young lady was going to do. But it wasn't as though there was any pressure.

Kay was glad to hear that [member="Hawk Solo"] was being given the all clear. Finally. She made sure to tell Lori and it didn't take long before both were heading down to go and meet him.

"Well, you've sure healed up good. Not bad for an old fart in a young man's body. Care to stretch your legs a bit?"

[member="Kay Arenais"]

Hawk greeted them with a huge lopsided smile. “Morning”. It felt so good to get out of medical center. “Yeah I would love that. Let’s go. Dont forget your cane.” He teases back. That what Kay get for calling old fart.

He couldn’t wait to explore this place. He ready to begin again. “I’ve been thinking a lot about what to do.. not sure if I want to go back being a Jedi. The training will always be there. Just don’t want something that formal.” He tells them as they walk..

Kay laughed a little at the cane remark, while Lori snickered. She missed his sense of humour. It was great that he still had it.

"This way then." She led him out of the medical wing, listening as [member="Hawk Solo"] explained his thoughts on what path his future holds. "I can understand that. I'm of the same way. Although nowadays my formalities are quite different." Sometimes they were stricter too.

Lori was quick to chime in. "My Dad's a Jedi. He's actually my Master too. I've been to the Silver's new school on Kashyyk. There are...a LOT of rules! I can't even go see my Dad whenever I want. I have to go through some silly channels and ask for permission. It's...annoying. So I spend most of my time travelling around on my ship. I paid of my debts to the builder and now I own it outright. Isn't that neat? I take up cargo jobs, transport, even...a bit of smuggling at times. Not for the bad guys though! I swear! So my training is a bit on the slow side as I'm occupied with not being around so many rules."

[member="Kay Arenais"]

He nods as he listen to the girls. He raised an eyebrow at Lori. She had a ship. What kind? I used to fly YT-1300. Loved that ship.” He comments to them as they walk the halls. Maybe she needed a good pilot. He was great pilot. At least that what he thought. “So Who do you work for? I used to for the Hutts, Pikes and Crismson Dawn. I was interdependent.”

"Oh I have a Mantis class vessle. I named her Jaster's Sparrow, after one of my mentors. He died in battle over Commenor and I felt that it was a good way to honour him."

Lori was proud of her ship, as was evident in her voice. She raised a brow as [member="Hawk Solo"] claimed to work forthe Hutts and other bad people. Maybe that was how her Mom met him. Her Mom always freed slaves.

"I take contract jobs. I've smuggled goods away from criminal gangs. I was hired ny a former Sith Lord to find a holocron. I'm only just starting out, really. My crew are busy spending their latest huge paycheque, so I'm kinda on my own with Arla. It takes at least two of us to fly the ship, one more to be really comfortable with it all.
Are you in need of work? I could hire you!"

She looked to Kay and hopedshe wouldn't mind.

[member="Loreena Arenais"]

“Mantis. That a sweet ship. “ He like the idea of naming a ship after someone. He listen to her li the sort of jobs that she took. They weren’t the type of job that would earn tons of credits.

“Yeah I could use the work” He told Lori. He wasn’t sure if he was going to like working for agirl. He usually what is his own boss. He was independent that way. But on the other hand, it wasnt bad idea to get feet wet without the responsibility of owning ship.

“What would my cut?” He says getting down to business.

Kay gave Lori a look that was hard for the teen to decipher. But then it was accompanied by a nod.

Lori grinned as she turned to [member="Hawk Solo"] . "Thirty percent sound good? I could use some muscle and well, you're more intimidating than I am. Don't underestimate me though. I'm real tough!" Which was true. She had fought in two wars, plus she was trained by the Mandalorians for a few years, gaining new skills, enhancing others and fighting in tournaments.

[member="Loreena Arenais"]

Hawk rubs his jaw. “Ok I can do that. Be your muscle but I would like to offer my opinion before you take any jobs. Especially if I have to be the one that protect and rescue you.”

He found it hard to believe that she was tough. She didn’t look it. “Sorry, I just don’t see it.” He says with smug grin.

"Well you'd be more than just muscle. You can fly, right? What about engineering?" Lori always asked her crew about their opinions when it came to taking on a job. So [member="Hawk Solo"] wouldn't have to worry about that.

She smirked as he questioned her toughness. And that smug grin let her know that it was a tease. "Hopefully you'd never have to come across me in a bad mood." Lori then stuck out her tongue.

[member="Loreena Arenais"]

“I owned my own ship. Wasn’t wealthy enough to have a crew so yeah I know how to do pretty much everything.” What he couldn’t do he figured it out. “I even know how to cook.” He was a man of many talents. Some of those talents, would surprise her. He would bet that she didn’t know that he was professionally trained in the art of ballet.

He softly chuckled at Lori. She was so cute sticking her tongue at him. “Let’s hope so the idea of your bad mood terrifies me.” He says teasing. She was as terrifying as a little mouse in his opinion.

Oh now Lori was quite impressed with [member="Hawk Solo"] 's resume. However what he could SAY that he could do and what he could ACTUALLY do was a different story. Some people were just all talk and barely knew anything.

"Well we'll have to get you accustomed to Jaster's Sparrow, won't we?"

She smirked as he gave her a sarcastic comment about being terrified of her. "Make sure you sleep with one eye open." Lori was famous for her pranks. At least to those she knew. She could set up traps easily enough. Funny ones and brutal ones.

[member="Loreena Arenais"]

“Will do that, mouse.” He say giving her a cute nickname. He had forgotten that Kay was walking with them. He continues to tease and flirt with Lori.

“When can I get a tour of my new home?” Hawk says assuming that they live on the ship. He was going to have to get some clothes and personal supplies.

Oh Kay was walking behind them, with one eyebrow raised as she watched the two of them interact. [member="Hawk Solo"] always was a bit of a flirt, yet this was her own daughter! And even though Hawk hadn't aged, she still felt as though he had.

But in reality he didn't. And she had to come to terms with that.

At least he'd like her daughter enough to watch over her in case of trouble.

Lori scrunched up her nose at being called mouse. Sure she was shorter and was sneaky, but mice were weak and she was tough! Oh she'd have to get him good for that!

"As soon as you want. Of course you'll be sleeping in one of the bunks. Only I get my own room. Arla will be there too. She already has her bunk claimed." And he certainly wouldn't want to quarrel with that one.

[member="Loreena Arenais"]

“ yeah let go know.” He say trying not to be disappointed in having to share quarters. “I want to claim my bunk. I haven’t share a room since I was kid. Well that not true, I have lived with my girlfriend but that different. Hope she doesn’t mind that I snore.” He jokes.

“Is there a place on the ship to work out?”

Lori snickered. Oh Arla wouldn't mind the snoring at all. She was aware of her crewmember's secret, yet all others weren't. And she had to keep it that way. "Good thing you're not sharing quarters with me, then. I'd be bothered with the snoring." Hopefully [member="Hawk Solo"] didn't snore so loud that she could hear it through her door. She might need earplugs otherwise.

"You could work out in the cargo hold, if there's space. All depends on what our missions are." No doubt he'd find something to work with, otherwise she'd have to buy him some. It was a good thing that she could afford it. "Ever done the Kessel Run?"

[member="Loreena Arenais"]

Cargo hold should be big enough to train and work out. He stopped mid step when she asked about the Kessel. Of course he done the Kessel.

“Yeah I’ve done the Kessel. Most of the time successful. But can you do a grand jete?” He asks with glint in his eyes. Grand Jete was a ballet move.

Oh awesome! [member="Hawk Solo"] had done the Kessel Run! Lori had only attempted it once and that was super tough. It won't be as hard the next time, however as she has Arla to help her with the quick calculations for proper jumps while she steers.

At the mention of Grand Jete, she raised a brow. "Can't say that I know of that one. Where is it? Which sector?" Lori had no clue whatsoever that it was some dance move.
