Lost in Space

“Maybe one day I’ll show you one day.” He’s say with lopsided smile. Teasing Lori is fun. “Don’t you tell her Kay.” He mutters to Lori’s mom. He didn’t want her to ruining his fun. He wasn’t ready to show them any moves yet.

"I'll have Arla look for it on the maps." Lori was quite certain that it was a place. But with the way that [member="Hawk Solo"] was looking, she was certain that it was some kind of joke.

ESPECIALLY as he muttered to her Mom.

Kay just shook her head with a smile as they walked, until one of her security personnel approached her. He spoke to her quietly so that neither Lori or Hawk could hear them. She nodded and then looked to the two. "I'm going to have to cut this short. You two go on ahead. I'll catch up later." And with that she turned and left with her security in tow.

Lori merely shrugged her shoulders a bit. "Sure thing Mom." She was used to things coming up. "This way, Hawk. It's not far." She walked a bit quicker now, eager to get to the space port to show off her ship.

"Were you and my Mom boyfriend and girlfriend when she was younger?"

[member="Loreena Arenais"]

“Bye Kay. See ya later.” He say as Kay leaves him and Lori on their own. Hawk follow along side of her. Easily keeping up with her. He couldn’t wait to the ship. Time may have gone on without him but his love of flying was timeless.

“No, we weren’t that way with each other. We were best friends. Almost family like. Never really thought of her romantic like that. Don’t get me wrong she was cute but...not my type.”

Well that may have been awkward to have [member="Hawk Solo"] around if him and her Mom were ever lovers. What would her Dad say?

It was curious that he said she wasn't his type though. "Not your type? What is your type? Brothel girls?" That tended to be favoured more than most. Lori could never be like that. More than likely she was going to be on her own.

[member="Loreena Arenais"]

Brothel girls? “No I don’t pay for sex. That is one thing, I don’t need to do.” Hawk says with a grin. “My type has changed over the years. If I just want to have fun not relationship. It a different type. If I want a girlfriend, I like woman who can hold her own. Strong, spirited, sexy, and sense of humor”.

He glances at her. “‘How about you? What do you like?”

Ahhh so [member="Hawk Solo"] wasn't the 'damsel in distress' type. She figured that with his cocky nature, he liked to play the hero. Or maybe that was just what appearances implied.

Lori chewed the inside of her cheek as he asked her what her type was. Did she have a type? It wasn't something that she thought about. "I don't know. I only had one guy interested in me enough to kiss me. He seemed to fawn all over me for a time, but it wore off very quickly. I think that I was just a flavour of the month to him, which makes me glad that it never got further than kissing. I suppose that I know that my type is NOT a playboy or manwhore. Other than that I don't really know." Maybe she was just too busy. Who knows? But no one really gave Goofball Lori that kind of attention.

Hawk arch an eyebrow. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Only one guy has attempted to kiss her. That is unbelievable. He found Lori to be attractive very attractive.

He smirks at her using the word manwhore. He used be called that when he younger. When the chase was more fun than a relationship. Not anymore he wanted something real.

“That guy was a jerk. You deserve better than that.” He says to Lori as they continue to walk to her ship. “This place is huge. Feels like we been walking forever.”

Lori smirked as [member="Hawk Solo"] told her that she deserved better. "That's what my uncles all say. But I'm not holding my breath. All I need is my crew until there comes the time where I take my Mom's place. No doubt I'll have to be wary of anyone wanting to get close if they catch wind that my Mom is an Empress. All they'll want is power and credits."

Again she smirked as he said that they've been walking forever. "I thought you'd love a good walk, especially after being frozen for so long." The spaceport was visible as soon as they rounded a corner. Lori almost started to skip as she headed towards her ship. The Mantis Class vessel looked old compared to the others, but it was just an older model. It was in great condition. "There she is. Our fly-away-home."

[member="Loreena Arenais"]

“You have a very wise Uncle.” He says as they walk into the hanger. He laugh lightly as Lori skips to her ship. “Nice.” He comments as he walks around it. “It’s not a YT-1300”. He runs his hand across the ship panels. It had good energy. “But she will do.” He missed his old ship. Poor Kamikaze.

He wait for her at the entry way to the ship.

"All of my uncles are like that. Of course they aren't my REAL uncles. They just care about my Mom and me so much that it's like they are family."

Lori smirked as [member="Hawk Solo"] didn't seem all that impressed with Jaster's Sparrow. But to each their own! She approached the door for the loading ramp and punched in her code. It lowered for them both to step inside.
"Yeah, she'll do. Now go pick out your bunk. Not Arla's of course!"

[member="Loreena Arenais"]

Life is funny if he had stayed around and hadn’t placed himself into a deep freeze he would’ve been one those uncles. Now he was working and nursing a crush on her.

He walked onto the ship. This is going to be his new home. Not bad. He thought to himself. Walking along the corridor, he finds the crewmen quarter. Now which bunk was Aria’s. He sat on one of bunk. Comfortable

Lori followed in after him. She snickered and shook her head a bit as she closed the ramp. "Arla, Hawk's joining the crew! Any jobs come our way?"

Arla was watching [member="Hawk Solo"] as he took a bunk. He was LUCKY that he didn't take hers. The woman was very particular about where she slept. "Nothing yet, Captain. Shall we go off world anyways?"

"Yeah that'll work. You can show Hawk how to fly the Sparrow. I'm going to go study. I don't want to disappoint my Dad." Although she wasn't planning on studying. Lori was thinking about making a journal. She had a lot on her mind that she needed to jot down.

He waits until Lori’s out of earshot before asking Aria about her. “ what is she studying? Is she going to University?” He asks Aria. He had a lot of questions about this set up. “How many crew members are there usually? Do you guys see a lot of action?”

He pauses to allow Aria to answer his questions.

"The Captain is studying the Force. She's learning from her Jedi Father. He teaches courses at the Silver Jedi Temple on Kashyyyk."

ARLA raised a brow, folding her arms across her chest. The Captain gave her an order, but for the moment she was good to answer the questions that [member="Hawk Solo"] had for her. "Lately it has been just the Captain and I. Her last job had a huge payout that most of the crew have taken time off to spend their share. So I was brought in to cover for them." She gestured for him to follow her up to the cockpit. "According to the logs, the Jaster's Sparrow has seen a lot of action for it's short time of existing just outside of a year. And fortunately it has come out virtually unscathed."

[member="Loreena Arenais"]

Hawk follow Arla to the cockpit. Interesting Lori studying to be Silver Jedi while he was thinking of leaving the Order. “So where to?” He say sitting down in pilot chair. His hand gently caresses the steering yoke. He flips a few switches warming the engines. “ want to go through the preflight check list.”

"The pre-flight checklist is a good place to start." Arla took her seat in the co-pilot's chair. She looked to [member="Hawk Solo"] as he began. "Make sure the coms are up, the navi-computer and check our fuel status. As for where we are going? We're not going to hit hyperspace yet. If you want to be able to fly Jaster's Sparrow, we'll have to see how you can handle her." He needed to be good in battle, and to evade detection and capture.

[member="Loreena Arenais"]

Together Arla and him work through the preflight list. Everything check out. “Alright.” He wasn’t afraid of any test. He knew he skills to fly any ship.

The Jaster’s sparrow gracefully lifted off the pad heading toward space. Once in orbit, he glances at Arla. “ Do your worst?” He says smugly.

Arla didn't really respond. [member="Hawk Solo"] only took them into orbit. "Take us further out and I'll set up the asteroid programme." Her hands moved fast, pressing buttons and setting up the holo display over the viewscreens. An asteroid field appeared some distance away. "You've gotta get us through there. Unscathed if you can."

She then switched on the ship's comms. ~Captain, make sure you're secure. Hawk's doing the asteriod test. Arla out.~

Lori knew what that meant. Some super fun flying! She LOVED that programme. Still she belted herself into her desk's chair. Then she was good to go.
