"No [member="Mykes Vatak"] it is not your fault, if you are to blame then so am I for not recognising the trouble earlier.I have precognition that should have helped me but didn't. So it is my fault to, I also almost made us space corpses." He would say from his position. He would use meditation to keep calm allowing it to flow through to Mykes as well.

"I know the droid is smaller than most droids. But I haven't been able to fix it at all." There had been other probe droids he had managed to fix. It was this one in particular that wasn't working with him. He then ask "So what parts of the lessons with [member="Rex Taff"] have you not been understanding?" might as well help since they had nothing but time. He also knew Mykes had yet to learn shielding techniques for the force bond. He himself couldn't generally feel Mykes pain but Mykes could feel his.

 

[Mykes Vatak]

Mykes Vatak sighed. He was touched by how [member="Tom Taff"] kept on redirecting the blame elsewhere from him. Away from him. But Mykes was always blaming himself first. He was used to it. For when things went wrong, like with his leg. When his leg was gone he only blamed himself for not having seen it as a possibility. He felt his robotic leg tapping nervously as he sat down. He needed to divert his focus on this rather than arguing on whether it was his fault or not.

"I've got pushing and pulling. And our bond I am understanding...somewhat" he answered back. Using small instruments, he was working on the droid slowly and carefully.

Tom sat meditating. He could hear [member="Mykes Vatak"] leg tapping. "Are you okay Mykes?" He would then listen as the man would tell him about pushing and pulling. He nodded they were easy to master. He had a feeling Mykes knew moving meditation as well. "How much about out bond do you understand love?" He would wait to hear.

 

[Mykes Vatak]

Mykes was trying not to distract himself, trying to focus as much as he could. On fixing the droid, on fixing something so that his frustrations did not go elsewhere. "I'm fine, doing fine" he answered back as his metal foot tapped about against the floor. He was doing perfectly fine, yes.

"I know I can feel your pain. And your emotions...That I can go in your head and you can get in mine." It was mostly from experience. From all that had happened already so far. "That's as much as I know on it all" he added, is foot pausing in tapping.

Tom could tell that him being fine was a load of bantha poodoo. But he said nothing about it. Better not to right now. Tom would sigh "While you are rebuilding the droid, place a shield around your mind from pain coming from me. You need to do this otherwise when I may be in battle you will be in as much pain as me. That is no good. As for emotions, I show mine anyways always so you can tell. Getting into each others heads is true."

He would look at [member="Mykes Vatak"] "Okay you got your shield up." He would then slap himself across the face. It stung and made his eyes water. He hoped Mykes wouldn't feel it though.

 

[Mykes Vatak]

Mykes glanced back. Shield his mind? He tried, not really sure what he meant. Not until he figured two things; he wasn't totally good at shielding and what [member="Tom Taff"] did as he felt somewhat less of a sting. "Tom, what did you just do?" he asked, turning on his chair. He then saw that his cheek was now red, and stood up. "There are others ways to test you know, like pinching yourself" he said, kneeling down and now looking at his face.

"I did what I had to" As [member="Mykes Vatak"] and looked at him getting up and walking over to him. "I know but I had to make sure it hurt. At least you didn't feel all of it though. Ouch that hurt." He would then grab Mykes around the waist and kiss him "That makes it better though." He would say looking deep into Mykes eyes.

 

[Mykes Vatak]

Mykes Vatak couldn't stay mad at [member="Tom Taff"]. "Still a pinch could have worked just-" He was cut off as he was suddenly pulled by the waist by Tom, and pulled into a kiss. The perfect way to shut him up as he moved in with it. "I...I guess it does" he said, pausing in silence...before he returned to favor back to Tom.

Tom had managed to stop [member="Mykes Vatak"] from criticising his method with a kiss. Mykes then agreed with him. They paused in silence before Mykes kissed him back. Tom would then say "So what would you like to do then?"

 

[Mykes Vatak]

Mykes enjoyed every second of it all. But to [member="Tom Taff"]'s question, he could only shrug. His mind was away from the droid now, away from frustration. Only to the two of them. And only them. "Well we should be out of the way of comets now...and have time alone...what would you do?"

Tom's only thoughts were of [member="Mykes Vatak"]. "We do have a lot of time how about......"


A while later, Tom got out of the makeshift bed they had made getting his clothes back on. He would then go and sit down in the cockpit quietly meditating so he didn't disturb Mykes rest. He would attempt to create an animal out of the air next to him. He was attempting something a little new. Plus the rescue ships should be showing up soon.

 

[Mykes Vatak]

Mykes smiled to [member="Tom Taff"]. They had a lot of time indeed. And eventually they decided how to spend it.

When he woke up from his rest he found Tom trying to do something. He rolled onto his side looking to him. "What you doing there?" he asked to him. He had fingers drumming against his prosthetic leg and he got up to look it over, just putting a bit of his attention to it. "The rescue should be back soon, right?"

 

[Ravenfire]

Tom would look up losing concentration as the small owl he had made from the air disappeared. He would look back as it disappeared sighing "I was trying some elemental shaping but it isn't working just yet." He at [member="Mykes Vatak"] as he mentioned the rescue. "Yeah they shouldn't be too much longer I hope. In any case, got anything you would like to do?" He looked right at Mykes

 

[Mykes Vatak]

Mykes felt a little guilty for having distracted [member="Tom Taff"] from making his owl. "Well from what I saw you sure are getting there" he said to him, still tapping away. When Tom mentioned that the rescue wouldn't be too much longer, he laid on his back with his hands behind his head. "Rest. Rest till they get here" he said back.

 

[Ravenfire]

Tom would shrug at [member="Mykes Vatak"] praise. "Still not good enough, I need more practice." Tom would sit there waiting. "Rest might be good idea." He would jump into bed with Mykes. Falling asleep next to his lover.

 

[Mykes Vatak]

Mykes turned over, and at [member="Tom Taff"]'s request he started to drift off. With good dreams in mind, dreams that filled him with warmth as he felt Tom get in the bed next to him. He slept peacefully that night, unlike most nights. With a smile on his face.
