Loyalty or Betrayal

Jax Nova

Warden of the Knight
Jax Nova stepped around the corner of a dirty ally. Trash, derbies from old droids, and a dead cat-like critter lay just behind him. The slums of Nal'hutta were never pretty. Before him was his destination, a cantina, "The Blue Bird's Nest."

"A strange name for a Cantina," Jax thought every time he rounded this corner. Sure the owners and workers were all Chiss...and sure they used it as a front for their illegal operations and didn't want a suspicious sounding name...

"You again huh?" Came the response of the bouncers at the door, interrupting Jax's thoughts. "No trouble tonight." They glared.

"Ah, come on guys...you know that trandoshian started things last night!" They only glared. "Alright! No trouble, I promise." Jax held up his hands in a defensive manner.

The guards stepped aside and Jax walked in. Heading up to the counter he took his usual spot.

"Back again, huh?" The chiss women at the bar asked with a knowing wink. "The usual?"

"Yes, please."

"You know...if you keep causing trouble they are going to ban you eventually...and then who would I pick on each night?"

Jax chuckled. "T'Laria, you know I didn't start it. I-"

"Don't give me that!" T'Laria interrupted. She slapped him on the shoulder and turned around to get his food from the center counters behind her. "You know you are the outsider here... you might have been accepted into the hut cartel but that doesn't mean anything down here. The very fact that you frequent this place makes a lot of people here wonder and probably a lot of people back at the cartel as well. The cartel has their own cantinas for their people."

Jax smiled and shook his head. Inside he knew she was right but he could never make himself enjoy the cartel company. He glanced around. What did others think of him?

Ser Wolfe

Wolfe's Legion Commander
Hmm the Chiss...such annoying people, they deseved to be slaughtered, the whole lot of them. All Wolfe could do was grit his teeth as he walked to the door. Initiate Jester followed close by. There was a bouncer and he stopped the two members of Wolfe's Legion looked at him. Ser Wolfe smiled under his mask.

"Hello friend...." The young Legionare said as he began to walk in. The Chiss stopped him. Wolfe frowned.

"No trouble" The Chiss said as he let them pass. The two legionaries walked in. Wolfe instantly noticed that the workers were Chiss. He could only hold his blade tighter. He and Jester simply walked to the counter. "Why are we here Ser Wolfe? All these....Chiss are making me nervous. " Jester said in a soft voice. Wolfe took a seat and so did Jester. "Because all the other bars on this block are filled. Trust me if we could be in another bar I'd go in a heartbeat." Wolfe said as he looked around. Near him was a man who was not a Chiss. Wolfe observed him.

Jester simply sat back with his Sheild and sword at the ready.

Jax Nova

Warden of the Knight
Jax Nova glanced over towards the door as some unfamiliar faces entered in. He noticed T'Laria sent a glance their way as well.

"Seen 'em before?" Jax asked.

T'Laria shrugged. "No..." she glanced back to Jax. "So everything alright?" she glanced at his meal and half drank glass of jawa juice.

"Excellent as usual," he complimented. "The side dish was especially good." Jax winked and inconspicuously slipped a small data chip in his pocket that had been stuck to the underside of his plate.

T'Laria smiled. "I thought you would find it enjoyable. Just make sure the boss doesn't find out I'm giving you extra helpings."

Ser Wolfe

Wolfe's Legion Commander
Jester noticed the man and the woman glancing towards the Legionaries direction. He then looked at Wolfe. Their swords were sheathed, but their grips grew tighter on them. Jester leaned over towards Ser Wolfe. "Uh commander, those degenerates are eyeing us up." Jester whispered a bit too loud. Ser Wolfe could only nod as he turned his head slightly towards the two.

He then turned his head fully and placed both hands on the counter. Eyeing the woman he smiled as he reached his hand up. "How about bringing me and my friend two Coreillian Whiskys?" He said as he brought out a few credits and placed them on the counter. He then turned to the man.

The two Wolfe Legionaries failed to notice the man slipping a chip from under his plate to his pocket. Wolfe smiled "Ave, I am Ser Wolfe, and this is Initiate Jester." He said in a tone that was a bit too friendly

Brigid had decided it was time for a drink. To be fair it was literally always time for a drink, she just happened to have reached the point where she refused to go without. One cantina was as good as another. She looked at neither the name nor the bouncer as she breezed in.

The bartender was talking with some man, and giving him the eye of she was any judge. Now was not wooing time, now was drink serving time. Maybe if she helped speed things along better service could be expected.

Weaving her way over to the bar, the petite woman eyed [member="Jax Nova"].

"The trick to getting hot schuttas to put out, is to first find the ones you think are the hottest, and then get to know them."

A demonstration was probably in order. She turned to the bartender.

"Sup schutta. What are your hopes and dreams? While you're telling me, I would like an Eyeblaster. Actually, make that four."

The Chiss woman glanced at the three men at the bar.

"No. No. For me. Keep up."

Jax Nova

Warden of the Knight
Jax acted casual as the men approached. He hadn't really considered how obvious it was that he was talking about them. As T'Laria got the men their drinks he glanced over at the new comers as they introduced themselves.

"The names Nova, Jax Nova," Jax introduced himself seemingly equally as friendly. His eyes kept a good watch on his pockets and the hands of the men... you could never be too sure around these parts. "Pleased to meet you [member="Ser Wolfe"] "

Just then another women came up to the bar ordering some drinks. Jax glanced up at [member="Brigid Fitch"] and then back to the men on his other side, then back to T'Laria who busied herself with serving the customers.

Ser Wolfe

Wolfe got distracted by the woman who had just enter the cantina. He watched as the woman began talking to the bartender. Jester smiled. "Some of these woman are quite attractive commader." Jester said. Wolfe. "Wait till we are back on Sanctuary before you fantasize Initiate Jester." Wolfe said with a small chuckle.

He then turned to the man who had introduced himself as Jax Nova. "Well met. Jax Nova." He said as he pulled down his mask and sipped the whisky. Jester frowned as he looked at Jax. "Whatbrings you to a place full of these degenerates?" Jester asked.

"Say what?" Jax squinted not sure what the man meant by degenerates. He caught a glance from T'laria and realized what the man was saying. Jax shook his head a bit and held up his hands. "Hey, I work with degenerates. Some of the best friends I have are here..." he paused. "Ok... one of the best friends I have. I'd rather be here then at a cartel cantina any day."

Jax glanced back at the women beside him as T'laria filled her order of four eyeblasters. He then turned back to [member="Ser Wolfe"] "What about yourself? Here on business?"

Dalton walks into the bar with his hood up, he walks to the closest bar stool and sits down and orders a corellian whiskey. He stays quiet, smiles and nods at the bar tender for the drink. He just wants to drink away his problems and forget about them for a night.

Ser Wolfe

Wolfe's Legion Commander
"Working with degenerates only furthers you into that corrupt casum." Wolfe said as he answered the man's statement

"YYou'd rather be here tthan a cartel owned..." Jester stopped mid sentance. "Those slimy Hutts need to be purged...llike these Chiss." Jester said with acid in his voice.

Wolfe heard the man's question. "Unfortunately Chiss aren't needed in the slave market yet....I'd lash them to trees if I had the time but....no we're here for drinking....no other cantina is empty as this."

Jax Nova

Warden of the Knight
As [member="Dalton"] walked into the bar Jax Nova stood from his seat. He took inventory of those around him. Some had started to stare now. He did want to start anything but this was going a little too far. He turned to [member="Ser Wolfe"]

"I won't argue with you there..." Jax admitted. "You can say what you like about me, however right or wrong it may be. However, I'm going to have to ask you to refrain from cursing the Chiss. They are no more or less than any race. If you are here for drinks you'll find them just as good here than anywhere uptown."

Ser Wolfe

Wolfe's Legion Commander
The commander took a look around, people were staring. Wolfe cleared his throat.

"Perhaps I had gotten myself off on the wrong foot..." He paused. "I will quiet myself about being disrespectful..." Wolfe said as he sat down.

"Now...let's all drink." He said to [member="Jax Nova"], [member="Dalton"], and [member="Brigid Fitch"]

Jax turned back to the bar and tried to go back to his business. After all he had what he came here for... mostly. He hopped that the incident would die out and he could get back to business as usual. After all... tomorrow he had one more degenerate's day ahead of him that he wasn't looking forward to.

"A drink sounds good," he said in agreement, not taking his eyes off his glass.

"Indeed, another drink sounds good.. Bartender, another please." Dalton slips more credits out and gave the bartender enough to pay and a little tip. He sipped his whiskey and smiled.

Farlon Orbit

Tough, Disciplined, Die-hard.
Orbit walked in to the small bar fully cloaked passing the Chiss bouncer. Before the blue man said a word he tossed a credit chip behind him.

He reached the bar and sat down, "One Keeli please. " Placing a chip on the table, hoping he could get out of this joint as quick as possible.
