Jax Nova took a sudden leave of absence and headed to the bathrooms. He was eager to examine the data T'Laria had provided him. A short while later he was out and back to his seat. He motioned at T'laria.
"Your food was kind of hot..." he said with a bit of a questioning look.
T'laria didn't pause as she took some more drinks to the men who had just ordered. "Nothing I can do about what the temperature is," she whispered as she passed by Jax.
"I'm going to have to have some help on this one," Jax said, this time out loud and to himself more than to T'laria. He looked around... men and women guns surrounded him. Drinkign at the bar, walking through the halls, eating at the tables.... Why not?
[member="Ser Wolfe"], [member="Dalton"], [member="Farlon Orbit"], and [member="Brigid Fitch"]with He turned towards the crowd that surrounded the bar. "So... anyone interested in a job?"
Jax looked over to [member="Dalton"] "The details will have to wait until we have some privacy to plan and explain. Anyone who is in can come with me as soon as they are done with their drinks. I know a place we can gather."
A.D.A.M. had been bored, staying within his ship was in the process of being repaired, he used his ships antenna to access to the Holonet and proceeded to search through it until he found the proper calling card. A sentient habitation pub, he had always loved to watch the security from afar when he was just a few kilobytes, but now. He decided it was time to dive in. He followed emails going in and out through the Holonet, jumping from one mainframe to the other, separating his sentience in two so he may stay connect with his ship, and in turn connected to his home should he need to pull the cord.
Upon arrival into the mainframe of the security system the light would flash, only once.. as if a power outage had happened, this of course wasnt the case, when A.D.A.M. Entered the mainframe he had to temporarily shut down the security as for them to not detect him, and now he surfed through video feeds attempting to find a droid suitable for interaction, no-one ever took him seriously or over-reacted whenever he approached them..
Mayhaps a new approach was necessary. He dove through the files until he found an access point within the mainframe and sent out a small message to random sentiments in the club, which they would receive via the holo-recorder should they pick up.
The message would be a mess of static and sounds, but distinct numbers play over the Holo-recorder in a Droid-like tone.
"01001000 01100101 01101100 01101100 01101111 00100001" At that the transmission cuts off.
Jax turned to [member="Farlon Orbit"] "Several most probably. You are welcome to come as well." Then to [member="Ser Wolfe"] and [member="Dalton"] "If you all are interested--"
Jax paused as the lights flashed off for only a brief moment. The people in the cantina eyed one another and then went back to their business. Jax glanced over to T'Laria who shrugged it off. "Anyways--"
Again Jax was interrupted as his holo-recorder sounded a message. "What? Who would be..." his thoughts trailed off as he opened the message from [member="A.D.A.M."]. Nothing but static and numbers... but it sounded like a droid. He had no idea what it might be. He shrugged it off and put it aside to examine more closely later.
He turned back to the group of men. "As I was saying... if you gents are ready, follow me and we will discuss the particulars of the job."
Jax made for the exit and turned down a side street. He figured all of these men had speeders but he walked a path where few speeders could fit or follow. Finally he came to a secluded...room, of sorts. More like a clearing in the midst of trash, derbies, and refuse. The clearing was well hid and deep inside a large dump. Jax turned towards the men.
"I know. Not your typical meeting spot, but it's safe." He pulled out a small chip from his pocket and continued. "On this chip is the information about a bounty that has yet to be released. The man who the bounty is on is a mandalorian... a strong one. The bounty is huge and his enemies are fierce. We, however, have the advantage because this bounty will not be submitted to the public for another three days."
Jax paused in order to gauge the reaction from the men.
"That's the catch," Jax grinned. "You see I am not a bounty hunter. It's quite the opposite."
"I have found that these people will pay good money to be protected until they can get off world. That's our goal. I'll make contact and negotiate the deal. If he's in, then we all split the pay evenly. It's won't pay as much as a bounty but it's safer, more under the radar, and the only way to keep my advanced information gathering secret. If I took out the bounty with the advanced information... pretty soon someone would catch on. This is a slow and steady path, but it works."
Orbit took his hood off, "Fighting for the good? Reminds me of the good old days, count me in."
A small light flashed under his cloak making Farlon pull back the fabric to reveals his comm link built into white armor some that no one has seen in hundreds of years. Quietly he turned off his comm link and re-cloaked his arm.
Jax Nova glanced at the others in the group as [member="Farlon Orbit"] slightly revealed his armor. He knew instantly what it was... did the others?
He shook his head and cleared his mind. "Alright, your in [member="Farlon Orbit"]. What about everyone else?" He looked to [member="Dalton"] and [member="Ser Wolfe"]
"Alright then," Jax said with an obvious grin. "Everyone is in. Now I will be open with you... I've never done one this hot before so we need to be sure we play our cards right. For now why don't we meet up here tomorrow around the same time and I'll make contact with the Mandalorian and set up a meeting."
