Tier 1 Hexheim explosive reactive armor
- Large cargo and passenger capacity
- Can jam enemy vehicle sensors and defend against sensor jamming attacks
- Heavy defenses
- Heavy anti-infantry armament
- Limited missile ammunition
- Limited armament against armor/artillery
- Slow, ponderous
- Easy to detect on EM and thermal sensors once the secondary guns are fired
- Infantry must operate some distance away from the vehicle because of the ERA's hazards
- Mobile bunker becomes unstable in flight if flying altitudes are too high above ground (5 meters above ground or more at normal gravity)
As with all projectile-based weapons, the missile launcher has a limited ammunition capacity and the limited size of the ammunition magazine can become a liability in prolonged engagements. In addition, the armament suite is more geared towards engaging light vehicles and infantry than to fight enemy armor or artillery. Finally, infantry must operate some distance away from the vehicle since tiles exploding can be a hazard if they get in and fire too close.
