Magical World

Aodhan's last words seemed to be an invitation back inside the house for Flinx, which reminded the Padawan that he didn't finish his food before coming out here. He was all to ready to go back inside but he waited for Seo and Flinx, who seemed to be having a conversation.

Reggie didn't make any movements until he was motioned over by Seo. When he covered the distance between him and his companions, he was surprised by the hug that was offered by Seo. He quickly shrugged his surprise off and hugged the knight. Reggie was treated like part of the family since he's been here for the last few months and was happy for their hospitality. Even though Seo's family was different from his, he was reminded much of home and was grateful for that.

When he let go, he turned slightly so that both Seo and Flinx were in sight.

"Now, shall we go finish our meal together"

Reggie put a hand on Flinx's shoulder to let him know that he was asking both him and Seo.

Of course, she heard the mental message from Flinx. Being this close to him ensured that. Keeping her expression neutral, she was totally silent for several long moments. Until Reggie joined them and that fast hug happened.

I do not see how that is logical...

Logic didn't play into emotions, but Seo wasn't thinking with her heart at the moment. Flinx has just admitted he was going to propose to her. Even if it hadn't happened in the manner he wanted, it had been maybe by accident.

We will work it out. Having spent so little time together, we don't know if we make good mates or not.

Motioning to both of them, she would start heading back into her home. Her family had already gone back inside and were finishing their meals. Not having waited for them to join them.

"Let's get back inside."

Flinx would nod, he was I touch with his emotions but having to find balance in all things he quieted himself and followed his companions inside the house. His palm was still bloody and so he stopped by the fresher and bandaged his hand with a small bacta patch he kept in his pack. He then sat down and ate while not saying a word to Aohdan. He read his emotions though as well as trying to get a read on the room.

After Flinx had finished his cold meal he would sit back and rest. He may still be young but the weight of experience and solitude had given him cause to feel as though he was as ancient as some of the grandmasters, at least to himself. He then brought it a cloth and his weapon and set to work cleaning the hilt. In his mind he asked seo, “When is it you want to leave? As far as I’m concerned there is no timetable here.”

Reggie went back inside and finished eating with the rest, enjoying the last bit of food on his plate. He would thank the family again for another meal with them, enjoying the time he had with everyone as always.

"Thanks again for dinner!"

The Padawan would pick up his plate so that no one would have to clean up after him, taking anyone else's plate if they were finished with it. Afterwards, he watched as Flinx cleaned the hilt of his weapon. Reggie was interested to learn more about the Miraluka, and was hoping to join him and Seo if they were going to head out soon. The Padawan enjoyed working with Seo and wanted to learn more about Flinx as well. Of course, Reggie was also hoping to expand his knowledge and skills that came when gaining more experience.

She wasn't too sure how to act with how things had played out. Flinx was rather silent and so was her son. There was a bit of conversation with her little sisters and parents, but not much else until Reggie thanked them all for dinner.

With that dinner was done and Flinx had gone off to clean his weapons, Aodhan had gone to his room probably to sulk or do whatever teen boys did at this age. Evening lessons began for her sisters and Seo was left to clean up the plates from dinner.

Letting out a bit of a sigh, she quickly did her job and went out to where her sisters and parents were. Looking up at Flinx when he asked how long she planned on staying, she shrugged slightly.

"I would like to spend the night and maybe spend a little time with my sisters here. Don't get to see them as often as I would like and they grow so quickly. Not to mention Aodhan. Where has he gotten himself off to?"

Flinx reaches out with his feelings. “Your son is in his room, he seems to be in turmoil and could use his mother’s presence.” Flinx was unsure if the question was rhetorical or not so answering honestly seemed the prudent thing to do. “He does have a spark of the force within himself though it seems that he suppresses it out of anger and distrust. Call it what you will, luck, skill, whatever, but If he continues on this path he might have dark days ahead of him. I would not blame you if you changed your mind and decided to stay with your family. I just figured a scholar like yourself would find the experience.....enlightening.”

Reggie assumed that Seo and Flinx were having a conversation as he watched their body language and movements. He could be wrong of course, but Seo's turn to Flinx followed by a shrug made him think otherwise. Either way, he didn't want them to think he was staring at them. The padawan sat down in an area where he wouldn't disturb anyone and closed his eyes, allowing his thoughts to wonder slightly. Eventually, he would clear his mind and begin to meditate.

Until a certain amount of time passed or someone came to greet him, he would stay like this for awhile.

She had the feeling Aodhan had gone to his room and Flinx confirmed that. Listening to what he said, she nodded. He had yet to express any Force ability, but her friend somehow could tell her son had it.

"When I was his age, I was exposed to light and dark. If he decides to develop his ability, it's going to be his choice. It was my choice to join the Jedi and if I forced that on him, then I'm pretty sure he would intentionally go the other way just to rebel."

He further commented he wouldn't blame her if she stayed on Lorrd to be with her family. Shaking her head, Seo knew that wouldn't happen.

"I have the blood of a nomad and need to move around. While I can stay here for a short time, the Force will soon call me away to whatever it needs me to do."

Picking up on the meditation of Reggie, she smiled. She might not be his master in any official manner, but the time they had together, some habits of hers must have rubbed off on him.

"Do you mind if I join you?"

Moving over to the padawan, she would take a seat with him if he agreed to her joining him. An open invitation to Flinx would be in the way she moved and she hoped he would pick up on it.

Flinx, picking up on the implied invitation, settled himself next to the two and centered himself. He looked through the lens of the force and smiles as he sees he spark of the force in his friend's child. "Seo, your son is troubled, but he has the potential to do great things to honor your family, but he will need a steady guiding hand or else his hot headed nature will drive him to he dark side."

Opening his eyes when Seo approached, Reggie nodded to her and smiled.

"I would be happy to have you join me."

Flinx soon joined them, the three now letting the force flow through them. The Padawan listened in on what Flinx was saying about Aodhan, but didn't say anything. This was a conversation that didn't involve him. The potential in Aodhan was visible and Reggie could sense a glimpse of the force within him, which added to that potential. He was interested in what Seo had to say in return.

"Isn't that almost every other teen though? What Aodhan does with his life and future is in his hands. All I can do is but try to guide and support him. No matter where it or he takes it."

Her own life had been a difficult one, but the light had prevailed and took her to the Jedi. That was where she had met Reggie and then she had brought him here to learn from her family. Hoping in the process to give her son the opportunity to make a friend.

"This world is ruled by the Sith. To have him join them isn't unexpected, Flinx."

Not that Seo liked the thought, but it was the truth of the matter. Whatever happened, she would do her best to help him accomplish what goals he set for himself.

"What are your thoughts on this, Reggie? The two of you are about the same age. I'm sure your presence here has helped Aodhan to be more grounded. You've also been able to get to know him on a level a mother cannot."

Giving him a smile, she hoped including him in the conversation would help to make him feel like less of an outsider. It also indicated she wanted to know his opinion on things and treated him as an equal.

Flinx pondered her words in quiet meditation. He didn’t like that Aodhan could turn to the dark. However Seo was correct and as such things go things must be in balance. Putting that matter aside in his mind, he let his feelings wander. He had a mission, a self imposed mission but one nonetheless. There however was a presence on his mind, someone who the force seemed to be pushing his way. It didn’t seem like she was meant to linger with him but he was to at least help her along her path to her true master, who ever that turned out to be. As he rested and focused he finally reeled in his wondering mind to find that in all his preponderance he had fallen onto his back in a very undignified manner. He hoped his host wouldn’t be too offended by his lack of manners as he righted himself and tried to tune back into the conversation.

The conversation they were having about Aodhan was already having the Padawan think on the matter, so he was able to respond as soon as he was asked about his thoughts on the matter.

"Aodhan is a good guy and I don't think he'll turn to the darkside so easily. I know from experience that while Aodhan is stubborn, he also knows when its time to make a change to how he views things. Even if Aodhan were to join the sith at some point, I don't believe he'd stay with them long."

Seo was right, it would be easy to influence Aodhan to join the Sith since this planet was ruled by them, but Aodhan isn't one to make a decision based on that. He makes decisions based on his reasoning and not based on any pressure put on him. It would take a lot to convince Aodhan to join the Sith if the situation arused.

With all the travelling Seo did, she completely understood falling asleep like Flinx had. When he jerked awake at falling over, she stood up and held a hand out to help him up.

"You're worn out and should get some rest. I'll take you to your room, if you want."

Listening to what Reggie was saying, she smiled at him with a nod. Holding her out hand out to him, she wouldn't have to show him to his room, but walking in together into the house would be nice.

"I almost feel, he might make a good soldier of some kind. He's got the fighting spirit for it and he's too well versed in survival to die easily. Growing up here, I would expect nothing less. This family is full of good teachers. Speaking of that, how is your training here going Reggie?"

He wouldn't be getting any Force training, but that of hunting and survival as well what it was like to have a family and siblings.

Flinx followed Seo, it was only in his room did he let his mental guard down. He was afraid. Not of anyone around him, but afraid of himself. He had thought when he became a Jedi knight that the light would chase the darkness inside him away, but lately it had started to bubble forth like a oozing oil slick. It had begun a few weeks ago with the nightmares. The dreams of his father coming to haunt him, making him kneel at his fathers feet, making him into a sith. Dreams of Raina and who she had become. Of the leader of the night sisters. All the darkness of his past trying to claim him. His balance was being thrown off but yet he was clinging to the lie that he was wholly in the light. The fight had drug more of his dark side forth and before he knew it he was sitting upright in the bed in a cold sweat covering his bare scarred torso. He panted there for a time before working to relax himself. Failing that he broke down and let his emotions flow. He was still scared, but he was also upset that he was still so weak.
