Rygel Larraq smiled and waved to his guests, shaking hands and making niceties as he worked the crowd. Throughout the resort, well dressed and well paid women worked the patrons into the best of moods. Drinks were served, cigars were provided, and 'other' vices were offered for those inclined to take them. Drugs, the kind that were legal on this planet, were provided for those whose appetites ranged beyond that of Tobacco or Alcohol. Throughout it all, Rygel Larraq smiled and shook hands. His attire was typical for himself. He wore his fines Hyperion Security officer's uniform. High quality leather and fabric were woven in with Beskar plates and wires to form a very, very high quality armorweave. To those not particularly familiar with Mandalorians, it was a strange, militaristic attire for a businessman to be wearing. For those familiar with Mandalorians, it was a very odd and ridiculously light body armor... that happened to look nice.
However, Larraq's attire managed to not entirely clash with his environment as armed and armored Mandalorians in red and black armor stood watch near doorways and patrolled the perimeter of the resort. Near the entrances, several booths had been set up where polite young woman in officer's uniforms similar to that of Rygel Larraq greeted attendees and asked them for their identification. As with all things in the corporate and criminal world, there was always an inner circle. Names like [member="Danger Arceneau"] and [member="Rave Merrill"] were waved through, after signing the Non-disclosure and Non-Compete clause of course. Likewise, those few pirates and mercenaries whose actions had warranted a reputation unbesmirched by reckless actions and needless violence were similarly waved through. The background check was not to keep out criminals. Oh no, in the corporate world, all were pirates and criminals. The background check was so that all in attendance could be clearly identified on the off chance that finances failed to check out or violence resulted from their presence. There were a few names marked in red, as was the stipulation that any attendees found guilty of open association with One Sith operations be barred from attendance. But by and large, all attendees were granted access once their identity was verified.
As the CEO worked the crowd, viewscreens set up near walls and overhead areas informed the patrons that the initial bidding would begin in thirty minutes. While pre-bidding offers were being received by the multiple auctioneers that had been stationed throughout the resort's common areas, these bids were not yet being displayed for public review. Instead, various screens and displays had been set up to advertise various Mandal Hypernautics products. Info-graphics were informing interested attendees as to the nature and capabilities of the Mesen'Loras Bio-ships. Peaceful images of Kibo Lake on Ord Cestus were shown as a handful of Mesen'Loras calves played in the warm waters of the lake. Speed and maneuverability ratings, atmospheric performances, and aquatic capabilities were displayed along with combat performance reviews. Images were displayed of [member="Naast'ika Laaran"] performing live fire testing against a Keldabe-class Battleship. The ship dipped, dodged, and rolled to avoid incoming fire. What he failed to avoid appeared to bounce off of his hull and his shielding as he rapidly approached a ship five or six times his own size. The Corvette dipped below the bow of the craft, rotated 90-degrees while maintaining forward momentum, and launched a volley of shots into the belly of the much larger craft. Plasma Cannon rounds impacted and burned against shields, forming an ever-growing pool of molten material as additional shots struck true. Round after round from the Heavy Proton Cannon tore through the shields of the craft, punctured the warship's outer armor, and detonated several meters within the hull of the ship. The video faded to black before repeating, highlighting the Auron Helix genetic research facility on Ord Cestus that had made the breakthroughs in the ships design.
Similar videos and infographics displayed and advertised the capabilities of each item up for auction. From the Ani'jarkiv Limo to the Concordia Dreadnought, every lot was fully advertised to pique the interests of the resort's wealthy guests.
