Masks of Madness Event Finale | Act IV: Madness

"Ugh, bloody hell..." the Grandmaster muttered to himself as he stood to his feet, looking to the cage beside him, he noticed @[member="Vulpesen"].

He heard him say something about escaping. "Well, if you have a plan, kiddo, I'd love to hear it" he finally said, calmly as he shook the cobwebs from his head. Josh sighed. He had he gotten into this mess? He had gone from some sort of unknown celebration, to a slug invasion, to... Ah, it was mind games. Maybe this was mind games. But he knew that, for now, this was real... This was here and now.

Here and now, they had to get out.

He looked at the three @[member="Circe Savan"] that were arguing.

"You know, this was a nightmare enough already before I saw three Circes. Please do me a favor and close your mouths before I get even more of a headache" he requested. "And I do mean all of you. I'd like to be of sound mind so we can escape this hellhole"

Someone was going to pay for this. Vindica's head throbbed as he rose to his feet and leaned against the bars of the cage, squeezing the bars aggressively and yanking on them. One @[member="Vulpesen"] was in the cage opposite his own. A small smile formed on his face before he draped the balaclava over his mouth, pulling up his hood and donning the mask. The kid may have finally seen his face, it was about time he supposed. Now he needed to get out of here, and something told him that meant working with these others.

"It's no use talking to her," said the slouching form across the cell from the Jedi Grandmaster. Purple eyes flicked scornfully at the three @[member="Circe Savan"]s. "And no use hoping for sound mind, not with her around, metal tentacles retreating into the floor, and a very, very weird set of memories.

"You're DragonsFlame, aren't you. The Grandmaster." She pulled herself upright and cracked out her neck. "Rave Merrill, High Councilor, Fringe Confederation. I think it's safe to say that I propose an alliance suitable to ripping the heart out of whatever's gotten brave enough to lock us up."

"I care about getting out, and I think everyone else will agree with that." Kallion said while he inspected his armor, then quickly noticing he had his weapons "I do not want to waste one of my life's here." he said the last part while his helmet folded over his head, so no one would hear him "And wait, Calico?" he paused and tried to get a look at the man "You're real? Haha! Great! That means we have great troopers with us, but that might also means some of the kursed are with us." he stopped while taking his Pulse Rifle off of his back "Who would let us keep these?" probably someone who wanted to die.

Well this was going great. Shooting up Daral instantly slammed into the bars of his cell and fell back, kicking in frustration. "442 here." He announced, spotting Calico and rubbing his forehead as he grabbed his helmet and sat himself up against the wall, getting a sense of his surroundings before standing off. Sliding on his helmet he sighed, Cal would have a plan, always did. So for now he awaited and gave Calico time to think.

He shrugged as he looked over at the Fringer.

"True. And nobody here's able to shut all three mouths at once" he commented as he sighed. "I've got no problem with allying with a Fringer, madam, despite popular belief" he said, a smirk crossing the Grandmaster's face.

He cracked his neck. He was stiff as all hell. Bah, where was John when he needed him? He might be able to heat the bars...

"So let's do this. We get out of here, and we make someone regret locking us up, miss" he said, getting up to his feet.

@[member="Rave Merrill"]

Alright, this is just like AIT, just with less qualified team members. You can do that.

"Good to hear you Jay, Kallion, Daral. Let me think of something..." He stared at the HUD option on his visor, conscious of @[member="Vulpesen"]'s offer of an escape plan. That might work, then again, it might not.

"All my kit is together. Remarkable. Okay, bathrobe, give us your plan." He reached down to his hips, then his thigh, feeling for the familiar shapes of his DC-15s and the DC-17. Just as everything else, they were still there. The prison bars were too close quarters to blow apart with an anti-infantry round, but things could still work out. He held up his right fist and ejected the thin four inch long vibroblade with an audible shiinnk.

"Alright, anyone have any idea as to what the bars are made out of? Durasteel, organic, cortosis?" Calico ran an armored hand over the barring, not daring to try at it with the vibroblade for fear of some security measures. "I figure if it's dull enough your glow-sticks might cut through, or we can take the fun route and roll with a closer-than-advised pyrotechnics show?"

Di'kut already talked about escaping anyway. Not like conspiring is going to cause anymore harm if someone is listening in.

"Oh...and it's a pleasure, HK."

"Ah, Rave."

"It's been a long time."

"Wait, who's Rave?"

"She's gonna do something bad to you sometime in the future."

"Yeah, that's an understatement. Oh hi, Josh. You helped me out with that emotional trauma yet, or is it too early?"

"I met with him a couple days ago."

"Oh... Hey, Josh. @[member="Jak Sandrow"] says hi!"

The three Circes considered the situation.

"Past, you been mastered yet?"

"I'm still a Knight."

"Great. Now, focus and join your minds with me. We can share our thoughts and come up with a way out of here."

@[member="Joshua DragonsFlame"] @[member="Circe Savan"]

"It ain't just that," she said over Circe's tripartite babbling. "Anyone who'd lock up us has been busy doing things while we're not around. Whatever those are, those are the things I aim to make these people regret. I'm an alchemist and a blacksmith; metal is what I do. And we all know what you're best at, Grandmaster. Give me some heat, and I can make these bars go away."

She gripped the bars tight and closed her eyes, driving her mind's eye into the metal-lattice structure of the bars, getting some idea of their composition. "Strange metal," she murmured, eyes still closed. "You'll have to heat it evenly, symmetrically. Very strange metal. Ready when you are."

Three Circes? That was a new one. A very strange thing to wake up to indeed. Rolling my eyes I stood up, looking over the three weirdos I called my friends. Better I was here with them then the weird Vamp in the corner across from us. "Hey Circe, Circe, and Circe. I feel like messing with you and spoilers traumatizing events to you. BY THE WAY VEN DIES A HORRIBLE DEATH- I mean what?" Mean, but possibly entertaining. Now that that was done, I turned to look at who else was here. No one I recognized, but a few names sounded semi-familiar.

"Definitely, we need to get out of here." Vendir grabbed his sword and shield, a man asked who would let them keep their weapons and armor "Apparently these people." he put his shield on his back and his sword on the ground, before cracking his knuckles and neck "I could use some action too, not those space slugs though, ugh." he looked out of his cell's bars to @[member="Vulpesen"] "Well? C'mon I can get myself out, it's everyone else."

Okay, what's just happened?

First they were in Mandalore fighting and protecting the city and doing something other things that seem like you are in a fantasy book. And now he's in a prison. "I don't remember being capture and being imprisoned. Heck I barely remember anything." He looked around and could hear voices. He then looked at himself. He still has his armor and wasn't bent. How nice of them, thinking about their captives man I give this prison five stars.

He then heard Calico's voice and saw both him an Jay in his HUD. Well at least he has his brethren with him so that made him kin of happy. "Calico, is that you? What's goin on? Jay, do you have any ideas what is going on?" Canal wanted answers and immediately. H looked at the bars an saw that they were kind of damp. Easy. Canal got up, stepped back and gave the bars a kicked. He looked at them and saw that there wasn't even a dent on it. He even out all his strength in it and nothing.

He made sure that he has his equipment and sure it was. He has his CZ-836 Assault Rifle, his LJ-50 Concussion Rifle, DC-17 pistol, four detonators, and his attachments for his assault rifle. He could get out with these weapons but he would risk himself and would waste precious ammo.

"Heat. I can do heat."

Calico reached down and began to fumble through his belt. Emergency rations, sanitary wipes, even an old piece of durasteel clattered to the floor until he pulled away what he was looking for. A small, short-lived blowtorch reserved for naval engagements. It would do the job here.

"I'm sure the glowsticks will do the job better, but it never hurts to try." He grumbled, setting the flame on its highest setting. He held it a few inches above the bar, awaiting @[member="Rave Merrill"]'s order.

My boys and girls are in here. Need to get them clear first.

We'll need to replace the tissue here... that empty socket will need a cybernetic. Disregard the other, we want precision at all times... don't we, Aurus?

Being a prisoner wasn't a totally unfamiliar role for Zius, neither was having to take the hard way out of things. Nothing was ever as easy as it seemed.

He shifted his gaze over to Calico, Vulpesen, and whoever else was conspiring to escape this unknown area. He took a few steps over to better vocalize his query, to discuss with them of any tactics or ideas.

"You lot there... how did we get here? Or should I even bother asking? This place... I'm tired of being fethed with. The time to just carve up everything is nigh in these given circumstances. We need to find whomever is doing all this sorcery."

He looked around his cell once again, nothing. Perhaps cutting through the bars wasn't such a bad idea.

"Let us hope the pleasure will not last eternity."
The droid commented back to Calico, hearing Circe's voice, no, three voices, made him work that much faster, until, with a quiet snap, his talons were able to file through the bars, whatever they were, miracles of friction still applied. But making cuts in the bars and getting them out of the way were much different. Besides, it was just two bars so far, someone would be able to get out, but it would have to be someone very, very, thin.

Nodding to himself HK turned back, walking up to Calico he would bet to him slightly, whispering quietly,
"Should we need to escape, the bars can be cut through with enough time and determination, but something tells me these gates will rise whether by our determination or some other means. Still, should you have an idea for escape have a look at the bars I have been working on, perhaps we would be able to bent them and break them out."
HK vaguely gestured to the cell doors he was standing by earlier

Hearing @[member="Rave Merrill"]'s words just now, he motioned to Calico's flamer.
"We will need more of those, I have a repeater on me, that is the highest burning weapon I have right now."

Normally, Bluejay would have made some snippy comment about the nickname 'Jay', but this new uncaring Bluejay just looked on the unfolding drama with disinterest, not responding to any outside input. She was waiting for one command from one person - the kill command, from Akala.
Although, that kill command might want to hurry up, if you want to keep them in these cells. Granted it won't matter where they are if they're killed...

Josh looked over at Calico. "If you wanna do it, be my guest. I'll happily do it if something goes wrong" the Grandmaster said, stretching as he watched @[member="Commander Calico CC-247"] and @[member="Rave Merrill"].

"Whatever these things are, sounds like they've got big plans if they've got us all locked up here" he agreed, watching this process carefully, aiming to step in if needed. "Probably best we escape soon as we can. Too many Circes makes a man lose his mind" he remarked.

Galaar Tal'Verda

Just one more butchered soul.
Galaar snapped to in the cell with Calico. He woke with a jump, his hand clutching his chest were he had been stabbed in the dream. Was it a dream? Wait... Why am I prison? Did I overdose on ryll and end up going on a rampage throughout Bothawui...? Wait... Is this a Seperatist Prison? Was all that a dream? His helmeted faced traveled from person to person before seeing the ACT signs above the cells. He grit his teeth before turning to note Calico and a droid by the bars of the cell.

"Haar'chak? Whats going on? Did I drink too much Ca'ika?" He stood slowly; his head was pounding something fierce as if something had just been inside of it. He staggered over to his brother and looked at the bars. He looked around for his strill which, was seemingly absent. He frowned under the helmet. He then looked at the HK droid and grunted. "Why are we with a clanker..." His hand then gestured to the motley bunch, some he recognized and some he didn't. His gaze passed over Bluejay luckily. "Who are all of them?"

The three Circes' focus soon combined into a constant stream of information flowing from one Circe to the next. Each wrapped a hand around the bar in sync, no longer speaking as they moved to pull. a small vine seemed to sprout from below their palm, curling up the bar and slowly wedging its way into the gap. Once in there, it suddenly began to grow, and grow, and grow... until eventually the bar snapped. The vines returned to the Circes as they slipped out of their cells, being lithe enough to fit through the opening.

"Alright, now for part two."

The three Circe's held hands and chanted together. For a brief moment, there was a flash of light, and then... one Circe.

"Ah, much better now that we're all one. More than enough power. Now let's get the rest of you out of here."

With surprising strength - albeit with a lot of struggle - she began to rip the locks off the cell doors, one at a time. "Now if I can just find that armor..."

With the flamer's energy, Rave got to work on the bars. She regularly worked with metals as tough as phrik or beskar, or tougher, and with Calico's weapon at work, it was a simple enough matter to warp the bars with alchemy until a gap emerged. Opening her eyes, she slipped through.

"All right, gentlemen." Twin alchemical knives slipped from their sheaths and rotated across her flat palms. They snapped to a stop, and the purple-eyed, Dark-Side-bruised Nightsister smiled. It was not a nice smile. "Between helmet sensors and Force instincts, which way to the big bad wolf?"
