Master of the Outer rim

Right, so you brought the cheat armor.

At this point, the tourney has stopped being about skill and turned into a "who can bring the most badass stuff" contest, so I'm afraid I'm going to be pulling out. I'm not interested in a fight where only one opponent has a chance of winning because they're encased in a suit that none of the other combatants can even scratch.

If you'd rather bring one of your other suits or go armor-less, give me a call. Until then, I'm out. It was fun while it lasted, though. ;)

Didn't use the armor for OOC reasons, it just wouldn't make IC sense for him not to bring it to a 5 million credit contest. I'm totally cool if you bring any kind of your equipment you'd like, or even have a spectator take pity on you and toss you a suit of armor themselves. I just came with the best I had, and nobody's stopping you from doing the same if you'd like to.

As I said, I came for a challenge of skill, not a dick measuring contest. I have zero interest in finding out who can stand there and fling the most projectiles at the other person the fastest.

Hes not seeing through them. Their brains are connected and the information is transferred through a method of communication based completely through feelings.

Its been a while but i was pretty sure the bond wasn't force based, considering where Ashlan wolves live.

Ah. The sub is remarkably devoid of details on how they work, though reading the comments seems to suggest it somehow operated via the force. Either way, it's not my fight anymore. :p

Nope, like that im down and out... If Daeda is killed Solan's mind is going to shatter like a piece of glass so im going to have to pull out.

Gonna have Kira dodge the hand and then Solan throw down his place in the tournament, i dont have a way around this without the force or any of Solan's gear.

That's what happens when one guy shows up with a mech and everyone else was told melee.

Might want to read the rules a bit closer.

No long-ranged weapons. A long-ranged weapon is a sniper rife. An SMG is not long ranged. It's more medium-short. Didn't break any rules, though I'm sorry if that's how you interpreted them.

How about since the tournament is officially over (I suppose), Axel gets out of his suit and we do a little straight up fighting for the crowds' sake? No power armor, no wolves ;)

I woke up with thirty three notifications, I have no idea what has transpired can anyone give me a quick update?

Depends on what the original Hutt meant by long range. What I, and apparently most of the others, took it to mean was that this would be a melee centric tourney and outfitted accordingly (it was also the only reason I joined). What you took it to mean was that you could drop in with a beskar mech equipped with a full-auto SMG, missiles (which are absolutely a long range weapon), and a shotgun. All of which was only specified after everyone else had already specified their weapons and defenses (and would thus be incapable of causing you any damage at all) and two full matches had been completed.

In short, no, it isn't against the explicitly stated rules, but it is a massive PG move.

Something as simple as "he tried to bring his power suit, but the guards at the gate refused to allow it into the tourney" would have kept the playing field skill-based instead of turning it into a hilariously one-sided spite match.

Regardless, I want to see what [member="Thraxis"] has to say about it before I write myself out entirely.

Varik kinda summed it all up right there and I agree one hundred percent. Missiles are a definite no-no. If it is in built into the armor, it would have been quickly taken away from you.

The armor itself is the larger issue to my mind. While the rules didn't explicitly state that mechs weren't allowed, the tone already set by the previous two fights as well as the equipment brought by every other contestant is hopelessly outgunned by the armor, even if he hadn't brought any actual guns with him. Nothing any of us can do will hurt him. It defeats the entire point of even having the tourney in the first place.

That's the primary reason I'm withdrawing.
