Match #4: Duel on Columus (Perla Pirjo vs Simon Kellar)

[member="Alric Kuhn"]

The Tomahawk blow landed square in the middle of Perla's face, breaking her nose, smashing her teeth and causing blood to spray out onto the human's armor. Her head hit the ground and her legs finally buckled underneath her. The blow caused her to lose the firm grip on the vibrosword and the weapon rolled away and disappeared into the mud. She crawled onto her stomach and lay her face in the swamp water to cool off the hot tang of blood in her mouth. She glanced over at Hugo who was lifeless and still being torn apart by Caniods. And while she hadn't lost any limbs as her opponent had she felt suddenly like Hugo did, the energy draining out of her. She shook her head trying not to pass out. The witch acolyte rolled back over, hoping there would not be another attack like the last one. She gave her adversary a bloody grin and spit out a tooth. She spoke in Paecian and if he could understand it she would say: "Sweet mercy is nobility's true badge, don't you think?"

Simon struggled to his knees.

It still barely worked, barely. His species could stand dismemberment, cutting into them wasn't that much of a hassle either, but the soaring biting pain that gripped at him was very nearly overwhelming. Still, he managed to push himself to his knee's using the Titan Tomahawk as a way of supporting himself. His scowl pointed towards the woman.

She spoke, some garbled language that he didn't quite understand. Yet she was in a vulnerable spot, weak, and he still had a leg up on her...pun not intended. Her words might have been a game, a ploy to stop him from killing her, he didn't know, he couldn't take the chance.

His fingers curled around the Tomahawk again, and for a second time he moved to strike her and knock her out cold.

Better safe than sorry.

The Tomahawk hit Perla in the head and sweet darkness finally enveloped her. Her body went limp, her shapely limbs almost appeared in repose as if she were sleeping. In another place or another lifetime she may have appeared to the human as a seductress or even a companion. But right now she didn't move, content to dwell with the spirits and monsters of the Nightsisters who beckoned her to lay with them awhile beyond the veil. They would urge her back to the living when it was time.
