Metal Gear Silver: SJO Dominion of Nixor

Objective 1: Come and stop me before I leave.
Location: Asteroid Bazaar
Reasoning: Finding out contact details for [member="Dahlia"]
Sebastian continued walking the markets with his loth wolf at his side and the Ash Crows creating a body guard screen around him as he approached the man who had told him he had exactly what he needed. Allowing the captain of the Ash Crows to do the talking for him Lance decided to look around for a while spotting a trandosian with two others. Something felt wrong about the lot of them like they weren't here as pirates but looking for something else. What that was Seb couldn't be sure but they just didn't feel right.

They quickly got the information they require. A secure communication line directly to the person who had ran the pinching the convoy op and well given all their men were about to get destroyed by the SJO coming into system that was bound to find this asteroid and either kill or capture everyone here. Yes it might currently be a small patrol fleet but once they found this haven it wouldn't be long before there were more ships.

He also felt a familiar presence not far away feeling into the force. The one he wished to kill [member="Asaraa Vaashe"]. He had been close to her on several occasions and had begun linking her force signature to her pink haired body. It was slightly different to how his sister felt but close enough given it was the same body he had been able to pick it up quickly. It didn't take him long to put two and two together.

He quickly shot a mental message to Blodrud and the leader of the Ash Crows informing both the SJO and his sister's body user where here faster than they had thought and it was time to get moving quickly. As such their ship began warming up and all the Serpents Whisper readied weapons in case something was to occur as did the Ash Crows as both them and Sebastian began moving quickly. This wasn't their battle. They had what they needed. Now to get to the Airlock before something happened.

Location: Outpost on the Nixor Moon.

There had been a successful talk with the Nixorans about allowing the SJO use the base on the moon. He decided that after the talks with the Toydarians which had various results that he would try his hand at something slightly different. It was renovations for the old outpost. It was something calm and far from action but a job that still needed to be done. Yuroic had spent time working on what they could to upgrade and improve the old building, improving the efficiency and increasing the power so that they could use upgraded tech. He predicted that most of the technology in the outpost would be decades, if not hundreds of years old and outdated by today standards. It was something that was unfortunate, technology just moves on so quickly. Most of Yuroic's creations were far outdated compared to what the pros make.

Yuroic been told that Veiere was also on the renovations project, a man he hadn't seen in a long time. He had been a Padawan when he first saw Veiere, who wanted to form a joint Jedi faction but at the time had differing views than Yuroic and Arisa had. With events that occurred on Commenor, he was glad to see that they were on the same side now. Docking his ship onto the outpost, Yuroic entered and had a look around, it was an interesting plan to turn this into a building that would be useful for the Order. It was better than being invasive and creating one on Nixor and getting in the people's way. This was more remote and allowed them to provide support when the planet needed support from the Order. Yuroic wondered what colour scheme would be best for the walls.

"So why fall to the darkside? I have personally never understood why anyone gives into it fully being trained to fully use both sides of the force myself.
So why do it? Moment of weakness? Darkside Nexus?".
Veiere's jaw tightened as the man beside him poked at the sensitive subject of his past, no doubt circling about the students of the Silver Jedi since his recent class and the accusation raised regarding his period of darkness; a silent masquerade, the newest piece of gossip to illuminate the greatest mistakes of his life as though he needed to be reminded each and every day. His past actions troubled him enough without others poking at him as if he were some sort of science experiment or dramatic holo-novel with twists and turns imploring the readers further intrigue. It wasn't difficult to feel like a joke to these people...

"I would rather not discuss it" Veiere replied quietly, speaking under his breath to Tom, though his voice carried weight in his fatigue over the matter. As if he needed an excuse to feel any more uncomfortable aboard the Jedi Cruiser, Tom had gone and blatantly reopened that old festering wound with his curiosity, "If it's not to much to ask, I would hope for a little consideration..." he added, looking to his side to Tom now, not angry...-Just tired. The Darkside of the Force had consumed him and left him scarred internally. His old life and his old self, formerly pure in his convictions, was something he could never return to. He could never take back the decisions he had made, nor the lives that he had taken. Lives of other Jedi...

"Sirs?" A voice came from behind them both, "Confirmation has been received. Master [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] is already on the ground and awaiting you". Veiere's eyes closed in a moment of gratitude for the naval officers timing. "Thank you, Lieutenant...-Begin deployment at your leisure. The sooner we get this done, the sooner we can go home..." Veiere replied, not intending to sound as though he were in such a rush, but his confidence and his mood had both been shaken. Though he firmly believed in the teachings and values that the Jedi Code offered, he was sentient and far from perfect. The wealth of emotion that came flooding to him in every mention of his background and poor decisions...-They kept him awake at night and never left his thoughts. Inner peace was only obtainable through meditation, and even then, it could take hours and leave him feeling exhausted.

"Please inform Master Xeraic that the Drop Pods are en-route" Veiere asked Tom Taff, hoping that it might distract him from wanting to pick apart at Veiere's mind and heart.

Cassius leaned on the railing as Liuna reported what she could hear from the pirate’s comm chatter. He nodded, saying. “It’s only a matter of time before someone spots a Jedi, though. We’ll have to be quiet in approach, execution, and extraction. Definitely don’t want the other pirates to catch wind of us.” He took a moment to process the other point she made. “A backer doesn’t surprise me. Avun and the rest of the philanthropists are starting to make waves, and we’re on the edges of Hutt Space. There’s a number of criminal elements, not just the Hutts, that want to see them gone.”

“Once we round them up, we can start asking questions. Provided, they’ll want to answer…” Mercenaries were skittish like that. The only things they responded to was cash and force. The Silvers would handsomely pay for any information they could give, but there was also the fear and intimidation element. Many wouldn’t cross the various criminal gangs that sulked the underworlds of this part of the galaxy for all of the credits in the world.

He took one last look at the holographic display of their target building before turning it off, the lack of blue light from the projector shrouding them in darkness again. “Hope you’re set to stun,” Cassius muttered as he led the way from the balcony, back towards the throngs of people.

A few minutes later, they were approaching the boxy structure of living quarters, a thick crowd of people moving in and out of it. At the main entrance, there was a Twi’lek man who seemed to take a vested interest in everyone that approached. A lookout, no doubt. Cassius gave Liuna a look, and then nodded towards the entrance. He’d take care of the guard – she could find a way to get up to the third floor.

He approached the Twi’lek, and right as the man locked eyes with Cassius and was ready to pull out his blaster, Cassius casually lifted his hand, bidding the guard into a deep sleep. The Twi’lek slumped against a near low wall, and no one seemed to notice or care.

After hearing what V said tom knew better than to press it dropping it entirely and not saying a word as he began leaving the bridge to contact yuroic. "The pods are on their way with all the stuff we need for the base. I am also on my way down I will be there shortly." Tom had wanted information from V about the darkside and why people turn and instead had opened something he hadn't wished nor planned on doing. Tom kicked himself quietly as he made his way to the hanger. Losing a wealth of knowledge and a friend over a few stupid comments. Especially when he needed all the friends he could get.

Taking the shuttle by himself Tom took anything that wasn't apart of the drop pods. Silently in the cockpit he stewed over not being able to fight and help in a way he saw fit. He couldn't even help in something simple. Tom had started losing it shortly after the changes the vampires had force upon him. He was trying to be more cheery and happy for people but it wasn't working as he could feel his new genetics and whatever else they had added attempting to corrupt him.

That was why he had been trying to find out more from the prisoners the jedi held. But many of those would rather see him turn rather than help him with whatever was going on with him. V had been his last hope beyond trying to call up his father's spirit and well maybe that was his only option to find out how Rex had kept [member="Soloman"] at bay for so many years.

Arriving on the moon Tom waited for a moment trying to get his brave face together. He couldn't let people know he was falling to something. He needed to figure it out without people realising he could be more dangerous than they already thought he was. He really couldn't so he smiled and pretended all was right with the world as he began helping move crates off the ship.

Objective 1.1
Allies: SJ
Enemies: Pirates

Better keep up the cover of inspecting the life support systems, at least until the hostages are located in there, she thought, while pondering the risks and rewards of deploying the sleep gas at this point, however tempting it may be. And perhaps she could, in fact, during an inspection of the life support systems, have a lead that could lead the group to the hostages. If those pirates confront me about why inspect the venting circuits, I could always talk about infestation risks, much like there were on Chalacta. Oh and I could always pretend these are pesticides inside the pressure tank. For now, she just followed the trail of pipes and used a handheld detector to detect leakages and other toxic stuff inside the premises, not suspecting that there may be another goal to inspecting the pipes, beyond simply ensuring the safety of the people inside the station. Just that the outer areas of the station show few signs of venting issues, at least not that Varindar couldn't repair by pyrokinetic means (i.e. by using the Force for welding leaks in the venting pipes).

Objective 1.1

The patrols were much more organized than Masaru had thought they'd be. There were multiple times where he had to find a different corridor to go down or risk being caught by the enemy. Taking down the patrols non-lethally were an option, but that would put the hostages at risk since their location was still hidden. All it would take was one call for the whole operation to be a failure, so Masaru didn't risk it.

One thing that Masaru noticed was that the patrols were pretty chatty with one another. If he encountered one of them, he would listen in case good information could be gathered about the hostages. Most of their conversations were useless to him though, so lingering around was usually unwise. He'd keep this up in case something about the hostages did come up.

There were also multiple rooms that Masaru had found as he traveled down the halls. If he found that they were open, he would discreetly look inside. Again though, there usually wasn't anything that pertained to the mission. As he traveled onward, he found a room with a few screens inside. It seemed like this was the birds eye view of the Bazaar, at least to a certain extent. Masaru quietly went inside the room, making sure not to alert the guard that was watching the screens that the cameras and drones around some of the areas kept an eye on. He took a look at the screens, hoping that he could see something that could help him find the hostages.

Liuna nodded as Cassius spoke. Their target, Gregory Avun, was a name growing in popularity here, especially with those that wanted to see the streets scrubbed clean of criminal scum. It wouldn't be an easy job, it was little wonder why the man had attracted attention – especially the unwanted kind. But, for better or worse, she had a feeling that the philanthropist probably knew what he was getting into. One did not simply dip their toes into business like this.

“Right,” She affirmed, watching as the holographic display went dark.

Stuffing her hands into the pockets of her leather jacket, she walked along after Cassius. The Mirialan moved with a comfort and ease that certainly helped her blend in here, her clothing was a bit rough and tattered, even the jacket had some wear around the elbows. Her dark eyes scanned the area as they went, making sure to keep a look out for potential threats.

But, their arrival at the building was fairly swift. Catching the look flashed by Cassius, she let the corner of her mouth lift into a small smirk. The lookout, a Twi'lek, was little trouble for her Jedi companion. Liuna slipped into the entrance and held the door for Cassius with her foot. Once they were both through, she looked around – a lift was there, but that would put them at a bit of a disadvantage. And, to the right... a stairwell, but it sat behind a locked door.

“Oh, here's our way.” She said, moving over to the security panel and prying it loose. “Just a moment, then...” She said, trailing off as she pulled out her scramble key and plugged it in.

Immediately, the small device in Liuna's gloved hand went to work. The small read-out displayed an ever-changing flow of numbers, and a yellow light to show progress was already being made.

She raised a brow at Cassius, he could be the first one through once the scramble key popped.

[member="Tom Taff"] had moved off without a word, and though Veiere still felt the sting of the younger man's questions, guilt also rose up in him as he knew he had responded with more emotional incentive than he should have. Perhaps he would find it somewhere inside himself to pry up those painful memories for the man to realize and understand why they were so difficult to speak about, but it wouldn't be done within the sight and listening range of others such as the vessel's crew.

"I'm heading for the Hangar, the ship's yours Captain" Veiere informed the highest of the ranked personnel, nodding to him in confidence and soon making his way down after Tom. Within the primary hangar bay, there was an Upsilon-Class Command Shuttle awaiting the pair of them to transition the two Jedi down to the Moon of Nixor. It would be as good a time as any to apologize, the younger lad deserved that much at the least.

'I'll be with you shortly, Tom. We'll head down together'.
Veiere spoke through telepathic means, not wishing to interfere with the comm' frequencies of the ship to try and mend the sour impression he had left Tom with. There was history there between the two of them, with Commenor and all things that had come and gone in-between. At the very least, Veiere should have taken into consideration the man's intentions having always been pure where he and his wife had ever been concerned.

It was time to fix this place up. Yuroic place his boombox on the side pressing play he played a classic song, it was one he heard often of when he lived on Nar Shaddaa as a child. The catchy beat was too infectious not to sing along with and get in the mood to doing some work. In his best singing voice, which was still incredibly out of tune, he sung along with the song as he picked up a paintbrush and decided on a calming colour for the walls. He dipped the paintbrush in the paint and decided it was time to get this job done!

"'Cause we're living in a material world! I am a material gir-" Yuroic was singing loudly when he heard a bleep from his comms. Coughing, he darted to pause the music and answered his comms. "Hello, Master Xeraic here." They informed him that Veiere and a Tom Taff would be joining him shortly to get things together with a drop pod of supplies. Yuroic gave his thanks before switching the comms and slapping his forehead. Drop pod of supplies would have made sense, better than trying to fix the place up with a touch of paint. Yuroic chuckled as he looked around, he was in an old light grey t-shirt that had old and new paint stains on them, his jeans in a similar mess. Perhaps he should have thought about bringing some tech to help get things going. Then again, he wasn't that much of a tech head so he wouldn't have been able to do much with it.

Sighing, he decided that he likely couldn't keep his music going loudly as he doubted the other two would appreciate the fine music taste that he had. However, he left the boombox there on show in case they did want to play something. Yuroic picked the brush started painting the first wall in a light blue colour, having not even started his painting even though he felt pumped earlier. Humming the song to himself as he got started.

John glanced down at the woman as she breezed past him without a word, lips curling up into a smile as the cyborg fell into pace behind her, letting the woman lead the way into the meeting as his hands slipped up to tug at his jacket one more time. It was all about the first impression, he'd learned that the hard way when he was first getting started, that that had stood him in good stead all his life, until now. Letting out a deep breath he twisted on a foot, letting the door close behind him as he stepped into the room. "We're glad you could all take the time to meet with us today," the smile on his face was genuine as he bowed his head respectfully. There was no harm starting off the negotiations with a sign of respect, it would, hopefully, establish a tone for the rest of the meeting. "Please, everyone take a seat."

Objective 2 Negotiations
[member="John Locke"]

The jedi master was looking at the people who were there now. She had moved through the streets and approached one of the buildings with her eyes focusing on the people. THey were an offshoot of humanoid. They were taller then her but then most were taller then she was. The small Jin though moved and stopped looking at two guards. The city around more modern then some might think... if anything people heard isolation and reclusive to mean primitive but avoiding galactic society to be on your own world when you are capable and being too primitive to help your own people or leave the planet were two different things.

"Hello." She said it and radiated the most calm demeanor she could. Underestimated for her size helped also as if you could pick someone up they usually didn't pose a threat to you. That helped in getting them to talk... the other part of it was the food as she held them out on a tray for the man. "We brought food for the meeting." THe guard smelled them and she could see it... there in his eyes but not his face. Rapid fire thoughts that screamed into the force for her to hear but she maintained her smile. INvitingly before he finally took it as a sign she wasn't a threat just friendly. The span of several heartbeats and the voiceless insistence. A psychological trick for determining resistance.

"Please have one." He shook his head but his eyes never left the tray while a moment passed. "We aren't taking visitors from offworld. We never take visitors from offworld. Go home." His voice came out serious but she wasn't done and gave a small frown tilting her head back down. "Oh but we have come so far and it would not be polite to just leave without learning about your people, your culture. Are you certain I can't entice you to one?" She asked again and he seemed determined but also watched the food, he was sweating she could see that on his brow... sunlight, heat and heavy armor wasn't a great idea.

Still as she waited he eventually was sweating... not from the heat but it was a very specific thing. Same as having a switch that said do not touch, do not pull. Put it in a cave, away from the world, surrounded by lava and before the paint has dried for the warning someone would have touched it. So did the man and she smiled more seeing what he could do before motioning to the other guard who was there with her and them. THey were giving some indication and getting orders before the gates were opening to admit them into an office area. Potted plants, a couch that didn't really look comfortable as much as it was there for waiting.

Wu went and she sat down looking at the touch pads as it was more sterile then she had thought it would be. She could see some of the other areas here from a panoramic view that wrapped around going into a courtyard with a window. More people were milling aabout and having conversations as she listened. Not to their conversations, the local language was being used while they obviously knew basic to handle visitors. She was certain they got a few or ones who were running. Wu sat there though and made a show of relaxing into what could be a comfortable position. THis was another tactic of what they could do... it was on their time.

Finally she looked at John who had joined her when the door closed. Taking in his look and she wondered what qualifications he had for meetings. "So since we could end up being here for a little while while they prepare the room. Tell me what you know about first contact protocols?" SHe was curious to see and while this wasn't some newly discovered civilization but one that just didn't come around much. So she would treat it like they were encountering a new civilization to learn from and try to really settle in. She just hoped no one was trying to do the victory lap... good talks would require hard work and she tapped her fingers on the arm of the seat.

Her ears continued to listen though to the conversations and she was focusing on it, she was focusing on what the sounds were like. To make mental notes, to pick up the small social cues of what someone did and didn't do. It was part of being a jedi, of being diplomatic in this sort of scenario. SHe waited until approached finally though and looked at the ones who were there as she rose up offering the food. "Thank you for seeing us." She said it with a continued smile and they took the offered food but she could feel it was more to be polite. He looked at her though and the small group ate the food showing they didn't hate it.

"We only agreed to this because if we didn't no doubt you would have sent someone else or tried to force us. We care little about who you are and the last time we helped jedi or let them here war followed them." Wu looked at him and controlled her facial expressions carefully working to prevent sock or anything be displayed. SHe had some information and would need to keep a note of that. "And this would have been what major war?" She said it asking to get some point of where to start. "The end of the clone wars, we offered some jedi a chance to recover after their sieges in the outer rim and were repaid with death and destruction so no more."

The jedi master thought about it, focusing her mind to let the food go to an assistant of them. "Hmmm keep the food, enjoy it please and we'll think on this. There is a danger out there in your system, the silver jedi are here to help but we are not going to force you to listen to us... so a compromise maybe. How about... we remain here as delegates and if need be to prevent more from showing up to force terms hostages. Or at least I will, I cannot and will not force this upon others." She said it. "And while here I or we if my associate decides to stay can have access to your library to learn about your planet its history, its people. Even if we never meet again this can be an enriching experience."

He was looking at her and she had to give them something that wasn't already on the table... aside from fighting out of here they could easily be kept. "We'll also agree to send all ships in orbit away, to the edges of the system near the rest of our fleet and maintain a distance coming no closer then the asteroid field." THis would mean no reinforcements here or on the moon but easier to talk with people if they weren't worried about ships in orbit ready to pounce at a moments notice. "But for that we will meet again in four hours when we hve had a better chance to prepare our case of why you should listen to us and if you till don't then... we can leave."

The jedi master was playing a game... a smarter one as she had started to pick up some of the conversations and get an idea, they were aware of what went on. Long range sensors were in system... better to alert them and let them know when or if they needed to avoid people. A network like that wouold have likely been usable if they were housing soldiers at one point or worried about exploring the galaxy as a younger civilization. The real question was why it wasn't picked up as easily and she was guessing passive as opposed to orbital... the sensors were fixed to positions and spun with micro thrusters or the spin of an asteroid in a field to scan instead of moving around a planet.

The information he had given would also prove invaluable to discerning what went into the talks and why they were not wanting to be involved with any outsiders. She waited with some anticipation as the man spoke. "Hmph we'll placate you if only to get you to leave. We don't want you trying some other thing later so we'll meet you again in four hours, we'll let you see some of our libraries here if you wish. You won't be allowed to return to your ship." She listened and stood there as she bowed. "THank you come John." She said it while walking and went the direction they indicated going into the room. Yayao and Akari were well with Kurenai and Sukai, Tana, Kiso for family time.

"IN the room though Wu looked at the banks of computers and she sat down looking it over. Her eyes flicking around when the doors were closed and she could hear the magnetic seal being set in place. A small group in a library if needed would be able to do a lot and she spoke either to a party or herself. "ALright... the clone wars means there is a place to start now just need to find their most recent dating system if they aren't using galactic standard." She started looking around and pulling up information she could while working on translations of what had been happening. She was looking for the research to try and get everything.

Objective 1.1

This whole scenario was surreal, Asaraa felt almost like a super predator as she stalked through the back corridors of the station, her senses thrown out as far as she could reach. She could actually sense the various visitors to the station as the walked through the station going about their days. It made it so easy to just get in behind them, to spin through their blind spots without being detected. That's not to say that there weren't any close shaves, it was impossible to make your way through any station without running into people, and a pink-haired girl with a lightsaber at her was bound to attract more than a little attention if someone saw her and it was unlikely the captives would be held in a back room, she just wasn't that lucky. Asaraa leaned back against a wall, one hand playing with her hair as she considered the problem, her eyes tracking the people who walked past her without really seeing them. The Jedi had picked a shadowy corner and wrapped in the force she made for a very small presence but she couldn't go on like this.

This was just the kind of situation that Jairdain had taught her Force Cloak for, and using it while hidden in the shadows was one thing, but she'd never actually used it in public, in a crowd before but...well there was no time like the present right? Taking a deep breath Asaraa pushed off the wall, most of her attention on the threads of the force that were wrapped around her body as she emerged from the shadows, slipping into the main causeway. Without realising it Asaraa was holding her breath, waiting for that voice to call out to her to recognise her but...silence, well the silence when it came to her atleast. The breath escaped her lungs in a soft sigh as she slipped past the crowd, careful to avoid any clumps of people as she slipped through the crowd. Now, if there were a lot of new, technically competent slave, where would they be? Probably right there, where the larges clump of fear and panic were. One hand came up, activating her comm unit, "This is Army of One, I've found some of the engineers and pilots, I'll see if I can find a way to get them out."

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
Objective: 1.1

Enemies: Silver Intelligence Service Operatives overseeing clearinghouse

The jedi master felt the brush of the force, a tingle along the back of her neck before she slipped through one of the rooms. Mining droid parts strewn across the floor, some piled in corners and different crates but she stopped feeling something at the back of her eye. A ping in the force when she turned her head and didn't move or crouch bringing a hand up as her saber activated. The snap hiss of the blade appearing with a pale blue glow when a silver blade impacted and came out of the shadows. She turned her head while looking up at the ceiling and the small tube that served for some of the mining droid carts to move on an automated system.

She could make out her face and a technique like that was trained, to overwhelm a detection field and get within. Her eyes roaming over the one in front of her as she took in the blade. Silver and white from the core with a small fluctuation, a result of the process used to create it which meant it was a zirchonian fire crystal.... something the silver jedi had gotten to give them distinctive silver blades. Her outfit was older, black robes with tattered sections where electronics had been. Image disguisers that had been made for them by... Her eyes darted up to where the mask was. It wasn't there.. she had been looking for the gilded durasteel...

...and found nothing, dark skin that was taunt over high cheekbone.... the one side of her face flawless as her nose and lips remained intact like someone didn't want to mar them. Her cheek, her throat and her head were flayed... burned. Exposed muscles and bone that gleamed white where the hutt would have tortured her. That was why she had known and felt the familiar sensation of her. "Ruby." The name came out and she could practically see a sneer on her face as the muscles twitched and sh caught the clear synthflesh on her face. Her lips curled up to exposed flawlessly white teeth... her eyes gleamed with rage and fire but it wasn't golden like using the darkside.

"AHHHHHHH." Her scream tore through her throat finally and she was on the ground. The force swirling around her with more murderess intent but her rage came out finally and she shouted. "Jedi." She sneered more standing there and planting her feet but she jumped back up the hole catching an outcropping of metal as she moved into another tunnel and the jedi master could feel her moving quickly. SHe turned back to look at her padawan and deactivated the blade as her eyes flicked around and she couldn't feel the woman. "This might not be good." The situation had went up another notch and she was moving as the saber deactivated.

The movement through the room into another chamber that let her overlook a central section of the mine, rows of raised platforms that had been given chairs. A central platform hovering with someone she hadn't been expecting. "Rae." She said it low and imagined that the humanoid could and already knew they were there. She was taking in the crowd around and some of the guards as the older model armor that had been presented and given to combat scenarios by Jorus and Noah once upon a time. She didn't speak yet to Metris but motioned for her to remain quiet and out of sight there as she listened at the edge of her hear in the chamber.

"The Silver Jedi have come here." Her voice was deep, Rae had been within the Silver SHadows when the Harbringer existed. A singular leader who decided their morality and Connor was less then ideal as he jumped from light to dark. She was one of the few who had become SIS when Sor-Jan and Sorel worked to rescue the shadows from becoming dark jedi. She hadn't seen them and wondered what had happened... the SIS agents had disappeared, abandoned when SOrel had been run out of the silver jedi and went into self imposed exile for trusting them. She could still command a room though. "We expected this as they encroached more and more and have even brought their own gangs to fight."

Her hand came as she pulled out a few of the hostages from the ship, not entirely worried about it but she was moving around smashing a fist into one of them. The humanoid had never said what she was but she was tall.. almost impossibly tall and muscled. A former mandalorians they had recruited when Strider had come around and helped them out. Heavily muscled and wearing a tank top she circled around with the guards giving some indication they worked for her. Restraining one of the others who tried to move as the crack of bone and sound of flesh meeting flash came. The jedi masters senses were enhanced and the metallic tinge of blood came into the air.

One of the hostages screamed before Rae stood over them and kicked the woman in the stomach off of the platform. Her hand darting out to try and hold her onto the platform. The crunch of bone as a boot came down onto her hand.. the scream that ripped out into the room and snickered from some of the others. She didn't see this ending well as the woman was lifted up with one hand. "But it is not a matter, we the ones they abandoned are barely even thought about here." The jedi master had been wondering who was in charge... the small reports of gangs on here made it seem chaotic. Clearing houses required organization, power and work to make it a place you want to go.

She set a small tracker on the tunnel but was backing away and motioned for Metris to follow her as she slid a comlink out... who could she contact that was old enough to remember the SIS and what they could do. She looked towards Metris with a look. "The SIS, silver intelligence services that rose from the ashes Connor left of the silver shadows.. one of their previous incarnations. Sor-Jan, Sorel and Myself worked to turn them into a proper intelligence service that didn't corrupt its members to the darkside. It worked for a time but when Valae ousted Sorel with Arisa they were abandoned, left in the cold and...." and they knew how to disappear and fight back.

She thought of something moving her hands and left the comlink there for a moment when she started pulling up information from the chevron pad. "THey have been using some of the old accounts for operations." She hadn't thought about them, they had been left open for investigators and added to with interest thanks to Danger and her advanced intergalactic banking system. The best offers from the economic watch circle that could invest and improve what came from the accounts. The jedi master looked at Metris. "They were highly trained spies who aided and worked with the jedi who were sent to exterminate the darkside. They needed to be able to be dangerous but also smart."

Which as she thought about it could explain a lot before she was looking around. If you were an abandoned intelligence outfit trained to infiltrate, gather information and control operations... a clearinghouse was ideal. People came in and out, assets you wanted to keep could be bought and controlled... the pirate and slaver fleet they had in the asteroid field. The intelligence of the planet would also be ideal and handling the hutts while they might not have some of the jedi shadows. Those ones had remained in the temples of the Silver jedi and just gone back to being sentinels with no council.... they still were dangerous and knew who to hire.

"We need to report this but few to none here would remember them or how dangerous they could be." There was also the training, they had taught them at least the ones who could feel the force to detect its use to see and look past concealment techniques like a disciple of twilight or make false chambers and lure in force users. Counter intelligence operations to face spies and assassins from groups like the sith or the iron empire, the dominion even themselves as one of the main tests was for operatives to try and sneak around the temples with the jedi shadows on patrol. Matsu motioned for Metris though as she could see the chamber clearing out.

"We need to get down there and try to rescue the hostages but this kicked itself up and explains a lot." She crouched looking over it and waited until everyone was out of the chamber... Rae had remained behind and the platform moved towards the center of it connecting to a larger platform as gravity fluctuations came from the open air. "An anti grav field... or gravity wells to make it harder for a jedi to navigate and get there without being seen." It was smart and the gravity would add resistance and warping to shots that went through it. Slugs would be better but susceptible to the field and she imagined a sound dampening screen was easy enough to have there.

She could see Ruby waiting there in the distance and a laugh issueing from the womans chest. It was deeper and when you were a mountain of muscle and flesh... you dind't worry about a lot. "A clearing house is based on the threat provided by the person in charge.. you trust them to be able to find buyers for the products you brought to them. You trust in their ability to keep the neutral ground on the station so gangs do not fight...." She was trying to think how to explain more of it but kept her eyes fixed on the pair when she brushed a hand along the top of her saber knowing a fight would be coming eventually and the hostages there on the platform she were scared and crying well... time to get creative.

'I'll be with you shortly, Tom. We'll head down together'.
Tom stood for a second thinking about that as he continued packing the shuttle he was going to take down to the planets surface. Shortly after he had gotten it he had shut off his mind from any more possible communication. He had been so busy thinking about all the negatives he had forgotten to shield his mind from others like he normally did. He was a careful man so why was it that he had been so clumsy at this current point in time. It seemed odd to him but then again he was very much out of his element and clearly off balance.

As he finished loading the last of the cargo he sat in the cockpit meditating on everything that had happened before pulling out a training quarterstaff his father [member="Rex Taff"] had given him many years ago. It was made of the wood of one of the noverskaan trees near the crystal tree on noverskaa and was about as strong as the wood near the silver rest. One in which he had trained against a number of people with including his husband [member="Mykes Taff"] as he began going through the movements of Form 6. Niman his father's main style and one most suited to a quarterstaff. As he continued it he then slipped into the basics of echani combat forms that his cousin [member="Lance Claw"] had taught him for the month or so they had spent together recovering from what had occurred.

He continued going through the echani forms until he got to the more advanced forms of the echani battle form before finally feeling tired but balanced again. He stood there for a while just outside the dropship panting slightly after not having done something so intensive for so long but feeling happy and right with the world again. His issues with his new nature could wait till much later as he shortened the quarterstaff again placing its wooden body back in his pocket. As he continued waiting for veiere to appear.

Objective: 1.1
Allies: Jedi [member="Asaraa Vaashe"]
Enemies: Pirates

"This is Army of One, I've found some of the engineers and pilots, I'll see if I can find a way to get them out" Asa told the rest of the gang on comms.

"This is Hotelier: what will work for me may not work for you: I don't have enough disinfectants to effect a fumigation on the whole station, so I'll have to focus on where I am. There are pests where I am"

As she followed the trail of life support systems, under cloak, she dug deeper into the station's depths. And into the engineering section she went, which was, hopefully, not as crowded as the other areas she went through. It seemed that they kept some more hostages in the engineering section of the station, too. She could sense they split the hostages in several areas, which was probably for the worse (from the Jedi's standpoint). And the readings of pests went way up: these pirates kept some hostages where the worst of hygiene was, barring a molecular furnace that was used for recyclign waste. But before she could even think of getting the fumigation started, she would need to give some advance notice that fumigation was going to happen, and also she needed to maintain her cover as an exterminatrix. This area has a poodoo-load of insects, probably too much for the safety of the station, and it should not be allowed to spread, she thought, upon looking at the insects crawling up to the hostages, and just how many of them there were.

Objective 2
Tags: [member="John Locke"] - [member="Wu Yeoh-Mei"]

Ordinarily, Josh would have been front and center and been the one speaking out. But with how fickle, fearful and seemingly self-conscious their “hosts” appeared to be, perhaps having the largest man in the room be front and centre was not the best idea. Josh would have preferred to be on the battlefield - He was a warrior, after all - but he also knew that this task was absolutely essential and as a member of the Senior Assembly, he couldn’t let his own desires get in the way of ensuring that this mission went off without a hitch. That was why he had decided to accompany Wu and Commander Locke. But first impressions were everything. While Josh would speak out later; they needed to actually get on the floor first and looking like they did not pose a threat was necessary. The deviously smaller Wu had taken the lead on the opening negotiations and… Now they were hostages. Hostages that could wipe out their “hosts” so to speak, but they had no intention of doing do.

When it was clear they had time to kill though, Josh would turn to the other two. He had played the strong, silent, bodyguard-like role in the background for long enough to avoid spooking them. So that time had come to an end.

“These people certainly hold their grudges” the one-time Master of the Order would comment in a low voice once they were led to the library. “But it looks as though things are going well so far. But they definitely don’t trust us yet and we certainly need to figure out a way to make this happen.”

Objective 2:

John nodded at Josh as he padded across the room to drop into one of the chairs, spinning it around to face his companions, "You're not wrong, I expected it to be a tough meeting, but not this tough. Being escorted through the city under guard was...well a pretty unique experience for me. I've never actually met someone who hated me for just being the moment I met them, normally they have a plethora of reasons." The cyborg sighed, "Oh, I know that they don't actually hate me for no reason," one hand came up to wave at the banks of computers filling the room they were in, "I'm sure there are plenty of reasons in here but still, it's a little shocking. What did I ever do to them? Everything that happened to them happened so long ago, the galaxy has changed so much since then, we've risen and fallen, shone with the light and been cloaked by the dark. But it means nothing to them does it? All that matters is what happened in the past, an almost institution in its own right now. They might have a doctor here who could cure a Cathar illness we don't know yet, a politician who could fix the core, a technician who might see the work we're doing and revolutionise the world. But they won't." The man's shoulders lifted in a shrug, "I can respect their wish to remain separate from the galaxy, from the troubles that ail us but still...it's just such a shame. The loss of potential here." He glanced over to Wu, "I'm not gonna try to change them, or force anything on them...it's just a shame is all I guess."

Taking a deep breath John span around in his chair, resting his fingers on the keyboard, the digits almost blurring as they flew across the keys. "I'd love to meet some of their engineers and architects, did you see the park we crossed on the way here? Whoever designed it knew what they were doing, the way they kept the sightlines open for the cameras but also provided enough of a break in the set up to afford people the feeling of privacy. That's the kind of thing we're still trying to get right." He may never meet them, but John could appreciate technical excellence no matter where it was, unlike the cybersecurity team shadowing their searches. he wouldn't try to lose them though he decided as he pulled up a list of historical events. "Let's see what they've been upto since Palpatine's Empire." That was centuries of history to learn, now that research was something he could do.

Boarding the Upsilon-Class Command Shuttle for the Nixor Moon.
Objective: Awaiting confirmation to Occupy the nearby Moon.

The Turbo-lifts descent felt like a long few minutes, thoughts of [member="Tom Taff"]'s question as well as the effort he had been doing to try and overcome his inner-turmoil. Veiere supposed this was all part of acknowledging and overcoming his faults, yet it was still a sensitive subject, no matter how much he wanted to believe that he was able to move passed it all. By the time he reached the Hangar, Tom was there waiting for him, as was the Upsilon Class Shuttle that would take them down to the moons surface. Gesturing for Tom to lead the way, Veiere walked alongside him to board the smaller craft.

"I owe you an apology" Veiere said quietly between the two as they moved forward, "My past mistakes and the damage I've done aren't something that I like to discuss so openly with people. Though I may be considered a Jedi Master, I still struggle with it all", yet no matter how difficult it was, Tom wasn't to blame for Veiere's past, nor did he deserve to have been spoken to so harshly.

"I will answer whatever questions you have" he added. Their flight wouldn't be a long one, but it would give them time enough to discuss and hopefully answer Tom's curiousity before they were due to rendezvous with Master [member="Yuroic Xeraic"].

Objective: 1.3 (Recover Gregory Avun)
Allies: [member="Liuna Ondizi"]
Enemies: Pirates

Cassius slipped in quietly between Liuna and the doorframe, not touching either and making no sound, as if he were a ghost. His green friend weighed their options for ascent and chose the staircase, to which Cassius nodded. Turbolifts were a little more unpredictable – with a staircase, it was easier to see ahead. As he waited for her to slice into the controls for the staircase door, he flexed his hands a little, cracking his knuckles. Timing would be key for what they were about to pull off.

The door swished open, and Cassius moved through, his eyes locked ahead as he climbed the stairs. He didn’t reach for his lightsaber just yet – stealth would be key here, and with a galaxy full of Force-users, people would be able to distinguish the tell-tale snap-hiss of a lightsaber igniting, let alone its unique hum. He’d have to rely on his well-honed abilities in the Force at this point… and of course, his partner.

They reached the third floor, and Cassius did a quick scan of the hallway before opening the door and heading down the hallway. He made sure the two of them didn’t make noise as they found the right apartment. Pressing up against the wall next to the door, he held up his hand, giving her the signal to wait a moment.

The Jedi Knight closed his eyes, reaching out with the Force into the room. He could sense a number of different presences – seven total, all congregated into the living. There were at least two that were keeping watch on the very door they were standing next to. Six of them had blasters – the pirates, no doubt, and in the middle of them all was a man he could only assume was Avun. Going into more detail, he felt for the pirate’s blasters, finding an important component in each that could easily be moved or broken via the Force without much notice.

His eyes fluttering open, he told Liuna, “Alright, their blasters are disabled. Let’s keep it quiet – I go left, you go right.”

Pressing his hand next to the door over where the locking mechanism would be, there was a soft click as it unlocked. Then, the door swished open, and he charged in.
