Private Mi'la's Angels

Rivenna Vehementi
Concurrent with Battle of Failures

The journey to get here was something Remy had not been expecting... Mi'la was different and their time on the jedi world had been something she looked at as illuminating to say the least. She wasn't opposed to it as for her what was the twi'leks lifetime was a flash in the pan for her and like other purebloods she could always stay functioning with the force itself as it flowed through her veins. That Mi'la had another padawan on her ship was also a surprise but she supposed it shouldn't be a surprise. Mi'la seemed to like to talk... a lot and learn about people... so she would collect likely those who would peak her interest for the moment and bring them so she could probe for information. THe pureblood had moved into the one training chamber of the Mila'Van.. her saber tonfa's ssecured and moving with her as the purple blades hummed. Her movement unrestricted and she was destitute of clothing save the small tie that was around her hair to keep it out of her face. Remy twirled rotating the tonfa in her hand to create a disc in front of herself that deflected the training drones bolts around the room and in some cases back at them. Her facial tendrils twitching in only a mild irritation as she wasn't getting the result she wanted from the fight but she was able to alter some of the direction of the deflection away from the walls as a target appeared from the hardlight display.

Rivenna was in her own chamber, a meditation pad on the ground. Her hands extended as she called to Ashla, hoping for an answer. Her lightsaber hilt levitated, it disessekbler, the emerald crystal aglow, floating to her forehead like a jewel. The Nightsister was desperate to form a greater bond. The crystal chimed, echoing in her mind. It called to a memory, one dark and forboding, a woman on a pyre and a cloaked warrior falling on it. Rivenna opened her eyes, the crystal and saber parts fell to the ground, like shattered pieces of a mirror. Was it always to be thus? Could she not shake the shadow of the past?

The Padawan waved her hand at the pieces of the hilt and crystal, it all assembling once more into her weapon. She held the obsidian and chrome metal, hoping that today she would fair better. For today she’d meet Mi’la other Apprentice, a Pureblood Sith. She had heard of them, how the Dark Jedi became their Lords, cresting the title of Sith Lords. They were renowned for their aggression, and loyalty. How Master Mi’la had beguuked one into leadning the ways of the Jedi was a curiosity, for she did not recall any Pureblood joining the Jedi throughout the eons...

There was a feeling.. soemthign in the distance of the ship and Remy stopped as she stood there... feeling seomthing in the force for a moment but then it was gone. The other padawan was there... a better chance for her to see who she was... competing with no jedi didn't compete it was more who she would be working with and Mi'la was well interesting enough so whatever quirks she would need to get from this padawan. Remy left the room and left her equipment in the room with her clothing as she walked around the ship. The purebloods bare feet muffling the sounds of her footfalls as she found where the other was and crouched looking around the corner to take her in without disturbing her. Her facial tendrils twitching a little though with interest as she raised an eye ridge.

Rivenna sat holding her saber hilt, when she felt a presence. There was something lurking not afar. The Nightsister clipped her saber to her belt and then she raised her hands creating a peridot flame and smoke. She then appeared in the hall behind Remy.
“You must be Remy.”
The Nightsister stood with arms crossed, and her braided hair lapping on her shoulders.

Remy turned when she felt it and stood there looking at the woman her facial tendril moving a little but she mostly raised her brow ride with the small sharp point going up. "Cute trick." She said it but moved around the woman... slowly stepping when she took her in and inhaled the scent of her more like a predator. Golden eyes gleaming in the light. "And you are Rivania." She said it trying to remember the name of the woman.. she had mostly only heard it in passing and offhand so hadn't commited herself to mastering the name itself. More harsh as she stopped and crossed her arms across her stomach drumming along her forearms. "Mi'la said you would be here while she went off to Taris."

Rivenna watched as The Pureblood paced around her. The misspelling of her name no more bothered her than tangled hair. Her eyes then met Remy’s, her own brown eyes turning to coals briefly like a second set of pupils. The fire then faded back into chestnut color. It was a flutter, her darker nature responding to the Pureblood’s behavior.
“Yes, I await her return with anticipation.”

Her head nodded to that... she didn't hjave much to do and watched the womans eyes. "Agreed but she seems to have left us here but didn't bother to introduce us.. which makes me want to suspect there is a reason for that." Remy motioned with her hand and went towards the room she had been in with her equipment and cloths on the ground bundled in a pile. She spoke crouching down and grabbing it. "That she was quiet seeme the strangest.. she is usually annoyingly asking a bunch of questions." Remy said it and stood there checking her tonfas for the ship but she preferred it before releasing her hair.

Rivenna followed the Pureblood to the room with equipement. Rivenna eyed the folded clothes and tonfas as she listened.
“I am use to silence. My former Master was a man of few words. I learned to be at peace with little information.”
Rivenna leaned against a wall, her back braced and her arms at her waist.
“Her questions show she cares. If she is quiet, then something more pressing occupies her mind.”
The Nightsister let her mind drift for a moment to Dathomir. Where her Mother Superior spoke in cryptic proverbs. Mi’la was refreshingly clear in her words, and then there was Lord Saavage, who barely spoke. Rivenna had adapted to different tendencies in her mentors.

"I lived in an old ruined outpost... silence was a sign of a good day but I was also hunting my own food." She said it and walked over to the wall though as she smiled. "But if her mind is on more pressing concerns she should take uis with her... that is what a master and padawan are supposed to do. We are there to support and help when we can.. they are there to teach and lead the way." SHe said it with a look on her face as she was prepared for any number of things they might be able to encounter on different worlds... the jedi knight had just been lazy that had to be it in terms of taking them along... no danger to test them instead just the silence. "But I do suppose we need to get to know each other more... if we are going to be traveling together and trainign under Master Mi'la."

Rivenna nodded.
“On Dathomir, I joined in Rancor hunts. We killed the wild ones and made their spawn our beasts of burden.”
Rivenna smiled, her black lips tingling with her next words.
“Apprentices are to submit to their Masters, how we could be of value is not for us to decide. While yes we could help, we could also hinder, giving an enemy of Mi’la a hostage or victim to torture her with.”
Rivenna noticed how red the skin of the unclad Pureblood was. It reminder her of the robes of the Nightsisters she once wore.

Remy looked at her and stood tall and proud. "Ha... it is our progative to torture our master not some lowly being." SHe said it but thought about how the woman answered and. "But going to submission right away is a familiar approach that my people tried... it doesn't always work the way you think." She crossed her arms letting her fingers tap on her skin. "So can I ask what it was that you were doing.. it didn't feel like you were just assembling your lightsaber it felt more like you were preforming spells. The smell of it permeates the air if you let it."

Rivenna eyed the Sith, her demeanor seemed primal, yet proud and intelligent. She took a deep breath.
“Torture is something I do not suffer others to endure, for I have lived it myself.”
The Nightsister felt her mind drift to that pyre, and the stone circle. How could she remember something from being a babe? Was it The Force?
“I am the Seed of Suffering..”
she spoke these words involuntarily, her eyes flickered a fiery green.
She then broke out of the trance when Remy mentioned the pitfalls of submission.
“Blind submission, you are right, is folly. But when you trust who leads you, it is no longer veiled, but a living well.”
The Pureblood then shifted to another subject. She drew a larger net of inquiry than even Mi’la, so it amused her that this Sith viewed her Master as the chatty one.
“It was bonding, I was seeking to know my crystal and it know me. To become One with my blade. As great Jedi have done before.”
Rivenna considered if she should offer the next piece of information, she decided in the affirmitive.
“Spells are used on our Magick Blades on Dathomir. I am attempting a purer path to form a bond.”

Remy listened to her speak and her brow ridge raised up but she wssn't going to argue with her she was largely correct... the bonding with a blade though was something that they all did jedi, sith, witches and she imagined other force based groups in the galaxy would have similar methods and ideals. Remy looked over at her tonfa's and she had made the sabers but she had never really bonded with them... something that would likely make them closer to her and she knew that there were things the jedi made to aid in such endeavors. "Hmmm bonding with your blades is important... we should assist each other most likely." She said it and held out her hand pulling the tonfa's back to her hand.

Rivenna listened as Remy about aiding one another.
The Jedi Padawan took a seat on the floor and unclipped her saber.
“I am told that some crystals are so alive, that once bonded, they will even defend their owners.”
Rivenna thought in this, wondering if it meant her own saber may come alive and shield her should her bond be complete.
Rivenna closed her eyes, drawing on The Force. She tried to concentrate and spoke under her breath in a chant:
“Ashala du vok tanul ka pushka.”

Remy gave a nod of her head as she went and sat down cross legged opposite Rivenna... her tonfa's going to the floor in front of her and between them as she was saying something to low to hear and Remy didn't speak she brought her hands to the center of her being and pushed outwards with the force itself. SHe was levitating her sabers on front of herself as she spoke. "That is the theory but I have not seen a saber become alive like that... crystals like kyber resist darkside influence andneed to be broken with darker emotion but..." SHe trailed off allowing the force to rersonate around herself and disassembling her sabers when she brought her hands up. "Maybe with the right crystal."

Rivenna’s lightsaber levitated and held suspended in front of her face. She opened her eyes.
“Bleeding doesn’t create a bond, it breaks the crystal and makes it a tormented slave. Much like the dark side does to its acolytes. The crystal is alive, and The Force lives in it just as it does in us. It must be respected, treated with care and kindness. Emotions only the Light can imbue.”
The Nightsister sighed.
“It can be hard if all you have known is aggression, and emotions like anger. I was a master of my old saber with such feelings, but I caste them aside, and seek to wield this weapon with peace, knowledge, serenity, harmony, and mastery over the fear of death.”
Rivenna worried she was preaching, she wasn’t a Master, but she spoke with conviction, for that she would not apologize.

Remy looked at her and bowed her head to that. SHe understood wanting to change and remained still where she was... letting her tonfa's open up with the force while she brought the crystal out and the clear ones gleamed but she had the parts to clean. Grabbing her clothing so she would be able to clean the different components. Polishing the lens and getting any build up of gunk from around the power cell. "It can take time but emotions like that are better... I spent a few decades in a cave trying to overcome just wanting to fight and attack everything. THe sisterhood didn't do much to quell darkside urges."

Rivenna took hold of her saber hilt, and felt the crystal inside chime. It was growing less sharp, and now soft. Was this a sign of progress?
The Nightsister watched as the Pureblood polished the saber parts. Then she heard about a Sisterhood.
“What was this Sisterhood? My sisters are all gone.”
Was it possible the Sith and Nightsister had something in common? Aside from the same Master?

"They were different... some witches, some sith, some other darksiders. Venefica brought all of them together to oppose the One Sith after the emperor was killed and she had been cast out with a number of others. THey recruited hundreds of children from various worlds or in my case teenagers and she wanted to train all of us to become darksiders to destroy her enemies." Remy shrugged as she had been there and she learned a few things about Dathomiri and Krath Death witches magics but there is not a big difference between some of the things. Remy thought back on it and she had well she had learned a couple of things which is why she had gone to the jedi.. the sith group were usually just base instincts and wanting to spread their misery... the sisterhood was full of bitterness at having been kicked out or rejected.

Rivenna nodded. She listened and made no comment on the differences between Witches, her being an ex-Nightsister.
“Misery does love company. That seems to be the aim of Dark Side circles, to make all writh in torment. Its one of the reasons I left my Lord, and the path of darkness. I want to believe as the Jedi do, all life is sacred and held together by the Force, rather than disposable.”
Rivenna paused, she realized now, more than ever how much she loathed what she had been, and how Mi’la had freed her. Now the aim was to stay free.
