An astute military mind with a knack for navigating government and all its red tape, Bastila Paege is an accomplished junior officer seeking employment with any government or paramilitary organization. She isn't afraid of getting her hands dirty, though she oft seeks the cleanest method of succeeding in her endeavors. Impeccable bloodlines with direct lineage to nobility on the Pella system, her affiliation would surely secure a fruitful relationship with her homeworld.

Though Bastila's background lies chiefly in the military, I would like to explore political plotlines with her, be it as some sort of government official or a corporate executive. I'm open to majors and minors alike - my only prerequisite is structure.

If you're looking for navigating a labyrinth of red tape, the Metal Lords might be a fine challenge for that. Needlessly over-complicated and theatrical their political system is build around droids and heavily modified cyborgs, organics usually not being even considered part of it but as separate entity. However an organic could swear fealty to a particular Metal Lord and become a companion/vassal, now considered as employee and extension of that Lord's domain but at the same time equal to them and under protection of the Lords' Code. One of the requirements of the Code placed on her would be to maintain her own company or other form of manufacturing facility and some sort of security or military presence, which the Lord that accepted her fealty would be required to provide if she cannot at first. From that she would be free to do whatever, either to help her Lord grow in power or try to gather more influence for herself while balancing the duties towards her Lord, if there will be any.

The Metal Lord system is based heavily around feudal and aristocratic system in Central and Eastern Europe around the time of Renaissance, although maintaining ability to act as unified power when needed there is a lot of butting heads and fighting internally, not in military of physical sense but more political. Any Metal Lord worth his salt and an organic aspiring to build their influence within various courts in this system need to have a degree of cunning, diplomatic touch, and political savvy, the battles between the Lords usually take place through corporate undermining, forging coalitions and alliances, and deals upon deals.

If you ever played Crusader Kings II, that's basically what we have going.

[member="Bastila Paege"], The Hapes Consortium if filled with political intrigue and corporate dialog. Currently The Consortium has experienced a tragedy on the capital world of Hapes Prime. It has been a long time since Hapes Primes has experienced an attack. Even Palatine’s Galactic Empire has never made it past the gate worlds of the Hapes Cluster. Even the One Sith did not try to force their influence into the Consortium. Instead they opted for a diplomatic salutation rather than fighting the Royal Hapen Navy through the Transitory Mists.


Here we are. There was an attack that hit deep into the core worlds of the Consortium. The noble women of then Consortium are beginning to rally and starting to shed their isolationist ideals and made a treaty with The Mando’ade. In the coming months how will The Consortium play with the galactic politics? Will they seek vengeance for the attack? Or will they seek to secure their boarders and protect those they call friends?

As a faction, the Shrouded is neutral and welcomes both lightside and darkside characters, as well as non-force users. We're basically a democratic faction, though with a somewhat darker twist, which isn't afraid to use whatever means necessary to achieve its goals.
