Mines of Aeten II (pm to join)

Elaine was planning to expand her mining operations, by building a new one on Aeten II. She was after the Stygium crystals, they where used in the development of stealth technology. She had plan to make her own special forces, and as such she wanted to give them an edge. That edge was stealth armour, and training in ambush tactics. She also wanted them to able to conduct partisan warfare on Alderaan, so there would be a resistance if Alderaan should ever fall again. She was being accompanied by a fellow Alderainan called [member="Suravi Teigra"], he was a senator for the planet Kirbi. She was unsure where that was, but she was sure it was some peasant world, that had joined the Galactic Republic.

As her ship landed her men started to off load the equipment, near where the geologist thought they may find the crystals. She waited to have chat to the senator and see what she was after, after al why would a senator come a mining mission.

Suravi was unable to attend the excavation herself (not that she had any interest in the first place), but she would deploy a survey team from Kiribian Systems Armory to aid Elaine in her efforts. That amounted to about a dozen engineers, a single security squad, and several mining droids. Some of the mining droids were developed especially for detecting mineral and ore deposits, using sonar and ground radar to map out deposits by density. It was a process that the Kiribians had perfected in their millennia of asteroid mining operations.

The whole team landed in a single armed freighter, escorted by a pair of fighters. The survey team's leader, Doctor Ala Crescent, and a few crew members would take a large landspeeder to meet with Elaine and her geologist. The Kiribians could survey from scratch no problem, but it would be nice if the Alderaanian already had some idea of where to search first.

Almost as if in place of the missing senator - a young wookiee who was in word for another planet landed in a small broken down B-wing, something to say of their arrival in the first place. This particular wookiee was not in the best shape - why else come to a mining trip? Rolling out of the transport with a single mining droid - who looked like it was ready to fall apart any moment, the wookiee went to the nearby area, squinting to see why some forces were planning on mining there.

To the naked eye, it didn't seem to special to her, but looks can always be deceiving as she had learned time and time again. She waited a few meters away from the groups, readied to carry around her mining robot to see what exactly it did after all these years - and if it was even working still. She wanted just to learn how to mine, and understand the basics.

Maybe, in the end, she could also earn a new ally in the systems.

Elaine approached the walking carpet and the the doctor, and asked them more out of politeness Will you be accompanying me for tiffin at eleven? Tiffin was important snack brake, which usually consisted of a cream cake and a cup of tea. She saw the mining equipment being set up, and was getting ready to consult with the doctor over where they should set up, as well she need to ask them both there fee for this.

As she asked her tent was being erected, and holo maps where being set up. The engineers and geologist would be able to try and plan the site, where they would begin the mine head. The droids she had brought from [member="Captain Larraq"], where also being assembled and ready for when they would begin to mine.

Ala took a moment to respond, trying to figure out what the girl meant by tiffin, a word that wasn't part of the Kiribian vernacular. She deduced tiffin must be some sort of meal or drinking event. She would confirm at her return to the landspeeder.

"I suppose we could, but first, I'd like to review your surveys if you have any. My team is eager to begin with the extraction."

Really it was the doctor who was the eager one. She was the sort that liked to get straight to business. The sooner she extracted theStygium, the sooner she could continue with her projects back on Kiribi.

A small approving growl echoed from Wrrlykam's parted lips. She always loved getting around to snacks, especially if they could actually fill her stomach a little more. She plopped down with her droid and cradled it in her arms, waiting for the two to do their boring business while her mind wondered off into the world of eating and laziness.

She ushered the two of them to the tent, where tiffin was being served. Her tent had a banner flying outside, it was the symbol of her house. As such she was in a purple tent, so know no one mistook who hers tent was. She had a couple of maids on hand as well, as only peasant did their own laundry. She then was accompanied by the dig commander, and a couple officers form her security force. As some people still harbored her ill will for her past dealings, though those in the know knew what she did what she could for the rest galaxy.

The engineer passed the doctor and the wookie maps of the area, to see if they could agree where to begin mining. The soldiers began securing the area, for the droids and the engineers. Whilst Elaine was there she was not very interested in where the mine was going to be set up, that what she paid experts for. She had her cream scone, and a cup of earl grey.
