Kurt didn't say anything when Jamie handed the Jawa the money, though the two little guys were more than elated at this bit of news. With what Jamie had given them they would be able to take a direct flight from Spira back home, something that they ordinarily would have had to doll out into four or five different trips.

The Courier appreciated the gesture of course, and it was one that he wished he could have given, but he worried about Jamie's financial situation.

"They say thank you." Kurt said with a squeeze of his hand. "A lot."

He smiled as both of the Jawa's excitedly clamored for Jamie, shaking her hand and resounding her beauty and many virtues. Eventually his smile turned into a grin and slowly he managed to wave the little guys off. They nodded and said one last thank you towards Jamie, then vacated the small corner, feeling the need to allow Kurt and Jamie a place to sit down after the kindness that the couple had shown them. Kurt could only smile at Jamie, leaning over and placing a soft kiss on her cheek.

"You didn't have to do that, thank you." It was obvious that the gesture had meant a lot to him.

Jamie gave them a nod, shook their hands with a genuine smile on her face and waived as they made their way towards the other area of the ship. Jamie wasn't a huge believer in karma or anything, but she did find it good to offer selfless help when one could do such a thing for someone else. It wasn't that she couldn't use the credits, there was plenty she could have done with them, but the difference was that she didn't need them nearly as much. She wouldn't find herself stranded on a strange world without them with quite possibly no way to get home. The Jawa on the other hand seemed to be in a bit of a bind, so helping them in her mind was the right and only thing to do.

"I know." She'd lean close, kissing him sweetly. "But it was the right thing to do." Jamie's free hand laced fingers between Kurt's, holding both of his hands with hers. "Besides, while it's a bit of a setback for me, it's not the end of the world, and does more good in their hands than I in mine."

Jamie then tugged at Kurt, for him to sit with her as she took up her spot in the corner, leaning her head against the wall with a pleased sigh. "I don't need credits to enjoy our time together."

Kurt leaned over and gave her small kiss. "It means a lot to me anyway."

Tatooine was by and large, poor. No one on the planet really had a lot of money and those that did generally tended to keep it to themselves. There were some exceptions of course, Arceneau Trade company being the biggest, but most of the time people tended to keep what they had. It was the nature of his homeworld, and the Jawa suffered from that major more than many others. Kurt had never liked that aspect of Tatooine, the odd and broken distribution of wealth that lay there.

His own family always gave what they can when they could, water, food, other supplies. It was hard sometimes, but it was how they acted and lived, good karma his mother had always called it. He smiled slightly, happy that Jamie followed that philosophy instead of looking down on others that were less fortunate than her.

"Maybe I'll take you back home one day." Kurt said with a light squeeze of her hand. "We can see what they've done."

Their project was an ambitious one, though not so much that Kurt doubted their ability to do it.

"I think I'd really like that." There was a sudden sound of metal creaking and retracting. The ship shook ever so gently just before the sounds ceased.

The ramp had been raised meaning the ship would soon take off. The captain of the ship then radioed over the PA system confirming the girl's suspicions, requesting that passengers ready themselves for departure. Jamie felt a wave of anxious excitement building in her gut as she leaned her head against Kurt's shoulder, her hands wrapped around his upper arm. "I suppose I should tell you that I spoke with my parents. That's part of the reason I had those credits." Jamie nestled herself closer to Kurt as she continued. "I sent them a message about a month ago. Told them I was OK. Told them why I left. It was difficult, but they were happy that I was alright. I've got a bit of spending money for the year, but I have to go back to Naboo after."

Her parents really wanted her to return and stay on Naboo, not just visit. She had told them it simply wasn't possible, that she had a higher calling than life in political servitude, but they rarely listened to her. She was certain that when she returned they would do their best to keep her there.

Go back to Naboo?

That thought made his stomach sink. "Like...for good?"

From what Jamie had told him of her parents, they very likely wouldn't approve of him. Kurt was not famous, he was not smart, and he most certainly wasn't rich. There was no way that nobility from Naboo would approve of him, of what he was. Sure he had some claim to fame, he was a three time champion of the Boonta-Eva Classic, but out in the galaxy? That meant nothing. He could have won a thousand times and people still wouldn't have cared.

The idea of Jamie going back, the idea of her having to return and him being barred from seeing her? That made his nerves fray within an instant. His hands tightened, his muscles tensing and his jaw flexing as he tried not to grind his teeth. The thought got to him almost immediately, visibly so, though he tried to pull Jamie in close enough so that she wouldn't see him get so upset.

Kurt could try and hide his feelings, he could hide his face from her, but he was simply awful at hiding the tone in his voice, the tense constriction of his muscles as he pulled her closer to him was a dead give away. That was not how she had meant to explain the situation. He needn't speak a word for her to understand the instantaneous pain he felt the moment she relayed that information to him. Her hand brushed against his arm, trying to relax and soothe Kurt's worry.

"Probably. I have to assume that's what they want." That wasn't the best segue, but it was the truth. "But that's not what I want. That's not the life I want. If it were, I wouldn't have left."

The life Jamie wanted was the life she was happily living right now. Yes, she missed her family, and her friends, but she needed this. It made her feel alive. It made her feel like her life had true purpose. Kurt made her happier than she'd ever been on Naboo. Keira had been training her and taken her in as a sister. She had everything she wanted and needed.

"I want you. I want this life." Her hand reached up, cupping his chin with the palm of her hand, turning him to look her in the eyes. "I'll go back to Naboo like they asked, but I won't stay. It's not for me. But..." She paused for a moment, unsure of whether or not Kurt would feel comfortable, or even agree to her desire. "I'd like you to come with me....Though you don't have to."

Go with her? Well that would be an interesting cup of tea for her parents to swallow. No doubt they wouldn't feel very accepting of him under normal circumstances, him being what he was, but considering what their first meeting had been like...Kurt winced slightly. The memory crept up on him quite quickly, Jamie's mother subbing, her father yelling, a guard tackling him onto the ground and putting him in large repulsor-cuffs. The entire experience had not been pleasant, and it was something he ever wanted to repeat.

Yet when he looked into her eyes, that small wanting look that he saw on her face...Kurt couldn't help but give in. "Okay."

With The Messa now fully paid off he did have more freedom to take on jobs whenever he wanted, and if he got Kaile to drop him off on Naboo or perhaps Cartao again then she could take the ship to do a bit of work for the Alliance. It would be easy enough to arrange, though he assumed that it was still many more months into the future, what with Jamie needing to complete her training before she could even go back, before she would even go back.

"But." He began. "You stand in front of me with a sign that says 'not a hostage'. I don't want your parents, or anyone else putting me in handcuffs again."

Jail on Naboo one time was enough.

Jamie had somewhat forgotten about his initial meeting with her family. She suddenly felt incredibly silly and stupid. The blonde's face reddened with embarrassment, and she averted her eyes from Kurt for a moment, looking out at the other passengers as they went about their business. Reaching for her Caf she again sipped from the cup, trying to think about how that meeting might go when the time finally came. She hardly wanted to make him any more uncomfortable than necessary, but with the way things had been, that would be difficult.

A moment or two of silence and an idea came to her. "I think if I tell them the whole truth of what happened, how you had found me, asked me to go home, told me how worried they were, that they might apologize for their reaction to you under the circumstances." Jamie didn't want Kurt to be afraid of her parents. After all, they were very kind, though she rarely spoke of them much, mostly because reminding herself that she had abandoned them made her feel sick to her stomach.

"I told you how sorry I was for that whole situation, right?" She offered Kurt a sweet, innocent smile, presenting her lips for him to press his own against.

He offered her a cheeky smile, then a light peck.

"No, no you hadn't." Kurt said with the small grin still plastered on his face. "But I think I can forgive you anyway."

He nuzzled her nose, then slowly pulled back up. He could tell that she wanted her parents to like him, that she wanted him to like them. That was what she liked about Jamie, the fact that she had a heart of gold and genuinely wanted her family to do well, her friends to do well, for Kurt to do well. It was nice, nice to have someone care about you in that way. It made him want to try his best, made him want to do good and do better. Kaile invoked the same feeling in him, but for different reasons.

"We'll go." Kurt said suddenly.

"I'll go meet your family." He wasn't sure when, but eventually. "I'll charm them just like I charmed you."

She hadn't? Well then that was long overdue. The blonde felt truly bad about that. Perhaps not at first, but it hadn't taken her long to find herself rather attached to Kurt in more ways than one. "Thanks. Again, I'm sorry. My parents can be very...Reactive."

The ship began its' take-off as the two spoke, lifting from the ground beneath it, a mild rotation before zipping off into the sky toward the outer atmosphere and orbit. There was another breath of excitement at the idea of spending the next few days with him. In just a few hours Jamie would finally get a window of quality time with him, something they'd been unable to really share in since their first meeting. Rather than shouting at one another for half of the day they could spend it enjoying themselves and Spira.

Jamie tapped Kurt on the nose. "Not quite like you charmed me I hope." She offered Kurt a wry smirk. "If you've forgotten, we didn't exactly start off on good terms." She nudged him again with her elbow. "And even now and then you ride my nerves."

"Shhhhh." Kurt silenced her with a series of tiny kisses against her lips while at the same time letting his hand slide onto her thigh. The mirth in his eyes told her that he exactly remembered the circumstances of their meeting and how it had all gone, though of course he had chosen to leave that part out when he referred to his own charms. Quickly The Courier glossed over that fact, and the latter bit about her still getting agitated by his antics at time, that was just who he was.

"Maybe not quite the same." He said as he placed a final kiss on her lips. "I'll pull out the old uniform instead."

He mused quickly. "I'm sure my parents still have it somewhere laying around, plus, I'd obviously be on my best behavior."

That was until he got her alone, though he wouldn't mention that part. That was another natural instinct of his, one that she knew good and well. Kurt couldn't quite help himself around her, couldn't help but touch her, kiss her, hold her. It was a powerful intoxicant that she gave off, a spell that she cast, Kurt simply couldn't stay away even when he tried.

He doubted it would ever be any different.

"Ohhhhh the uniform?"

She waggled her eyebrows in a flirtatious manner, grabbing the collar of Kurt's shirt with a bit of feisty resolve. "I'd like to see that myself." The blonde pinned her tongue between her teeth, a coy look on her face. "I'm sure it looks splendid on you!" There was something about the idea of a man in uniform that really struck a chord with her, and the thought of Kurt dressed up like that gave her just so many ideas.

Jamie gave pause for a moment, contemplating Kurt's best behavior. Would that be enough? He wasn't naturally a very serious person, and while her parents weren't the most uptight, they did have values and such that they would want to see in someone that Jamie was seeing. Sometimes the blonde wondered if she was an adopted child of some sort, being so entirely opposite of her family in nearly every aspect.

"You best be." She finally said, closing her eyes, tipping back the cup and the last of the Caf.

"It's still somewhere at home." He mused out loud, his fingers slowly slipping onto her hips as he pulled her closer. "Maybe, just maybe if you're good, I'll pick it up next time I'm on Tatooine and bring it with me."

They had left him the uniform at least.

When the Court Martial had dropped on him they had taken everything from him. His rank, his medals, his status within the Navy, but they had let him walk out with his uniform, though not his dignity. He was still a tad bitter about that, though he tried not to let it show too much. The Navy had been an odd time for him, and leaving had ultimately been his decision, but the act of it...well the way that it had all happened still left a sour taste in his mouth at times.

"Don't you trust me?" Kurt said with a wide smile regarding her parents.

He thought that he could make a good impression, if he tried at least. Sure he wasn't part of the same high society as she was, but he thought at the very least he could copy them. Maybe Kaile could give him a few pointers, she being a lorrdian and all.

"If I'm good?" The blonde gave Kurt a blank stare, as if there was any question about her behavior. "I'm always on my best behavior."

Pale blue eyes wandered from left to right, examining Kurt's own blues. "I trust you. Why else would I be so nervous? You're a wreck." Teasing him came naturally, just as he seemed to enjoy doing to her, though his antics far surpassed hers in just about every way. She'd still not forgotten about his adventure through her dresser, an act she was determined to pay him back for at the right time.

"I'll have to make sure we rehearse what you'll say before we get there. Give you a script and a flowchart to follow." Her tongue poked out at him, before she would finally give him a kiss, hands resting on his atop her hips.

"So have you been to Spira before?"

"Flowchart? Too complicated for a simple Tatooine boy like me. I'm afraid you'll have to draw a step by step diagram, probably somewhere I'm more willing to look and pay attention to...I'm thinking maybe around..." Kurt trailed off as his fingers slipped from her hip and slowly traced down to her inner thigh. "Here."

His head cocked to the side and he offered her a wide grin. "I'm sure I could get it then."

Truthfully, the idea of meeting Jamie's parents didn't even make him that nervous.

Oh, the idea of them rejecting him dead, the idea of them saying that he could no longer see Jamie set him on edge, but everything else? Everything else was just another meeting. Kurt was good at meetings, and despite their joking he was also quite good at at least appearing respectful. The Military had at least taught him that much, though even then he had liked to push his limits. Of course when he met Jamie's mother and father it would be very different.

As his thoughts wandered, he heard Jamie ask another question. "Hmm? Oh, no. I've never been, but I've heard of what it's like."

Jamie slapped his hand as it made its' way to her thigh. Her eyes glared wide at him, her lips thinning as she shook her head. "Behave!" She'd say to him again quietly, but sternly. He was like a child in one of the Galactic Outlets, just had to touch everything! There was no privacy where they were sitting, and he was getting dangerously close to inappropriate!

Her face reddened slightly. "We'll have to work on your visual learning, and address those wandering hands."

She gave a nod, placing his hands back on to her waist promptly thereafter. "Now that we've addressed that," she said with a smirk, "you've never been? Then I guess we're both in for a surprise!" There was something to the idea of neither one having ever been to their destination that brought a bit of joy to her face. They would both be able to experience something new, and that something would be together regardless of what they actually did while there.

Kurt couldn't help but grin at her, smiling from ear to ear as she swatted his hand away and returned it to her hip. There was something about setting her off like that, about seeing her get all feisty that pleased Kurt more than he could have said. Of course he had to walk a fine line on that, the line between actually making her angry and getting her to just be a little bit biting. His smile switched from mischievous to sweet, his eyes settling on her as he pulled her just a little bit closer.

"It's a paradise world." He began to explain.

"White sand beaches, topaz oceans." His voice turned to honey. "Secluded islands."

It was like Kurt sang to her, the vices that they could hold on those islands. Of course his plan was simple, a camping trip of sorts on one of the islands where they could be alone. He had enough credits set aside that he could afford to rent some equipment, and with that he would be able to take Jamie to some place where they could truly be alone.

A paradise just for them.

Even just the idea of such a place sounded magnificent. Naboo had lovely lakes and scenery and flora, but it was hardly a paradise. Cartao even less so. There she had the mountain, the spring, and a number of surrounded forests with streams and such, but it was hardly anything worth traveling to for the sights. Spira, if Kurt said was true, would be incredible to see.

"Oh! That reminds me!" She'd turn back to her pack once more, opening it up and fishing around for another minute. Her tongue was viced between her teeth, squinting as she rummaged through the items packed away. "I brought this!" She lifted a small camera from the bag, nothing fancy or expensive, but it needn't be. All she was after was to capture memories. "I thought it might come in handy."

Clicking one of the buttons on the side of it it flickered on, and she held it out with both hands, the lens facing the two. A few people looked over and laughed at them, but Jamie paid no attention, instead making a silly face with her head leaned against Kurt's, before clicking the shutter button.

He indulged her, smiling and slipping his arm around the small of her back. "Just make sure it doesn't get wet."

That wasn't a joke. He would hate for her to get lots of pictures and then them to be ruined by a wayward wave on the beach. Kurt fully intended for them to detach themselves from civilization for a few days, three days to be exact, maybe longer if he could convince her that it would be alright to stay away from training just a bit longer. He liked the thought of that, spending more time with Jamie, though he knew that it was beyond jealous. Though, perhaps the good kind of selfish.

"I want to get you on the beach as soon as possible." His smile wasn't lecherous, there was no implication of other things. "You've been training hard, you deserve to relax a bit."

He smiled, squeezing her side gently.

This trip would be about her, about getting her to have fun and relax

"I won't let it get ruined." Jamie fully intended on bringing it on to the beach, just not in the water. She had a pretty cheap model, one that wasn't water tight, so if the electronics got wet it would likely be damaged to the point of no return. Careful was she though, so it wouldn't be brought near the ocean.

Kurt's fingers squeezing her made her wiggle a bit, sliding her bottom a little to get away from him as the sensation of being tickled made her laugh rather loudly, invoking eyes peering across the way towards them. Jamie quickly covered her mouth with her hand to silence herself before scooting back into his arms.

"You're sweet when you want to be, you know that?" Her hand ran through the scruff on his face, tugging at it a bit. "I've been mostly relaxed since you showed up, except maybe when you purposefully try to get a rise out of me."
