Mission to Corbos

Jade woke up early the next morning. The fire that they had lit the night before had by this stage extinguished itself. Jade felt a little cold but it didn't bother her. She saw Lorna sleeping beside her. She took a quick look at her body without touching her. Lorna had seemed to have done a good job to get the slime from those baby disgusting creatures off her. What they would both need now was a bath. But of course in the middle of a mission, in a territory all full of enemies, there was no time for such luxuries. Soon enough the two would warm up again as they would set off towards the Imperial base on foot. It would be a long day. Jade was hoping that they could reach the fringes of the base by nightfall, as she most certainly didn't want a repeat of the previous night with more Leviathians attacking them, because if they did, not only were both Jedi in a little bad shape, but it would be far too close to the Imperial base to not attract any unwanted attention.

Jade was still sore from the previous day, this wasn't unexpected. However it wasn't enough to stop her from continuing. Jade readied herself and then walked outside for a little. The forest seemed peaceful. For now at least, as the preying beasts that had attacked them were all dormant resting for whatever prey would be around when they would later wake up. Jade along with her padawan didn't intend to be around when they did.

Lorna had been having a strange dream... mostly nightmarish for the things with herself turning in her sleep. Feeling on her skin the creatures and she was not liking it as she woke up feeling something on her bare arms. The tiny hairs raised from her master when she finally woke up and jerked up looking at her master. "Sorry that felt really wierd." She blew a bang out of her face rubbing at her eyes for a moment to wake up as she rose to join her master getting what she had. All of the attention on the jungle to watch for any of the things there, she didn't want to get surprised by more creatures and they would be able to defend against them.

As Jade stood outside the cave entrance taking in the view of the wildlife around her, she would notice Lorna come out to join her.

"Good morning my young padawan. I hope you were able to sleep, although you look a little disturbed?"

Jade of course hadn't known about Lorna's dream yet as Lorna had only just woken up. Yet Jade was an adapt mind reader, she knew something along the lines of a bad dream most likely related to yesterday's leviathans was troubling her.

"Lorna whatever dream you had, you must remember that it's just that, a dream, and that it isn't real. The battle from yesterday is over. At least for now anyway, so don't let it get to you. We must carry on. For now I don't sense anymore of those creatures. I believe they won't come out until late. So if we get moving now, we should reach the fringes of the Imperial base by then."

Jade would then giggle in sarcasm.

"And then we'll be safe..........well not really, but I'd rather fight Imperials if it came down to it than those monsters."

Then she would pause a moment yet still keeping her sarcastic mood.

"Ummm, yet I beg to differ. Who are more the monsters, the leviathans or the Imperials?"

Then Jade would quickly swing moods from one of laugher to one of seriousness.

"We best get moving then. Go get any stuff of yours that you might still have in the cave and let's move along."

"I know it was just a dream master, a bad... slimy, terrible no good very bad drea, but I had those larva all over me and it was so.... ewww." She shuddered but was walking with her master and she would have to work on therapy for this.... yes definitely talk to someone about the whole experience to get the horrors out of her system. She was ready for the next stage though while making sure the seals on her clothing were tight and nothing could slither into places. If there wasn't a place she worked on some o it so that it was closed and tight with a strap. She was back and ready to work with her master on any of the things for this. "Alright I will be ready and able when we get there. Yesterday is not going to be a problem."

The two would then begin their day long trek through the forest. Both were sore, and tiredness would undoubtedly kick in by the time evening would come. This time the journey would be drama free. Yet Jade was sure that those leviathans would be back as the sun dropped and a new night begin. Although this time it wasn't gonna be a problem as the two had reached the Imperial base in question.

"We're finally here. Now to get into the base. Follow me. I think I know where a patrol on speeder bikes will be coming back to the base from. It's getting late so it's probably gonna be the last of the day. So we must hurry otherwise we risk getting stuck on the outside again for the night."

Jade was right about the last speeder bike patrol for the night. She saw the two speeder bikes approaching. Jade then would stand in their path bringing the two riders to a halt.

"You there halt! You're not authorised to be here, hands in the air. We're placing you both under arrest."

One of the Imperial scouts would demand. Jade simply rolled her eyes and Force pulled him over to her. She then pulled out her lightsabre and decapitated him. The other would then immediately pull out his blaster and begin shooting at Jade. However it was a futile act, as Jade simply yanked the blaster from his hand and caught it. She then de-activated her lightsabre and re-holstered it placing the Imperial scout's blaster from her off hand to her main hand that she previously had the lightsabre in. She pointed it to his head and demanded he take off his helmet. The scout being at gunpoint did just that as Jade made sure the blaster was set to kill.

"Nice piece, but uncivilised by my standards."

Those were the last words the scout heard as Jade shot him in the head killing him.

"Sorry Lorna for the violence. Doesn't look very Jedi like, but I needed his helmet off because we need to put on their clothes and helmets to get into the base. It would've looked suspicious if they have blaster holes in them. I had to kill them because this mission may take a while, and had I stunned them, they probably would've woken up later to alert the others and compromised us."

Jade would then take off the uniforms from the dead scouts and put them on and instruct Lorna to do the same. She would then drag the dead bodies into the thick bushes and jump on one of the speeders. Lorna would hop on the other.

"Time to get moving, follow me. The base is this way."

Jade would then speed off heading straight for the base's front entrance.

She was going with her master and taking it all in, the jungle was somethign she could work with while moving with most of her attention on the ground and distance. She was reaching out to feel for anything that might be big and bad coming after them in case they needed to rely on the Imperials as shields and fodder. She understood the idea of all life being precious and worth saving or trying to.... but at the same time as she herd the shot form her master there was something to being practical. They were in hostile territory and there was no real time to operate in the protect people trained and willing to kill you. "It is alright, something that needed to be done master. They weren't going to sit around nicely wihtout their armor or coms and just let us go." She said it while moving and with the armor they needed to change into she could get into it checking the troopers plates to make sure they were nice and shiny. "Ready when you are."

The two Jedi now dressed in scout armour casually made their way to the base's entrance. They didn't want to rush their way in or at the same time go slow either. Simply put they didn't want any unwanted attention. As they approached the main gate, the doors would open as the guards there simply recognised them as their own. Infact as they entered, the base's huge protective force field shield that engulfed the entire base was activated.

"Looks like we were the last patrol back for the evening. They've locked the whole place down for the night. Let's start looking for what we came for, and discreetly. I'll rather we not be discovered and just leave again in the morning. All we need to do is upload as much data as we can if indeed a biological weapons lab does exist here and provided we get out of here in one piece, report back to the Republic in which they'll then deal with this. Oh and if it all works out as planned, it won't even take us that long to get back to our ship as we'll have speeder bikes now."

Jade would smile beneath her helmet, although she knew too well that things hardly ever went as planned. But there was no point being negative, not infront of her padawan. Besides there was always the off chance that things might go smoothly. Jade looked around.

"We can't really walk around in this uniform. Stormtrooper ones will give us better access to restricted areas of the base and still cover our faces. Follow me."

Jade would move to a more isolated area of the base where two stormtroopers were casually chatting. Clearly not suspecting trouble. Given the base was now in full lockdown, and that there never had been trouble at the base before, it was a fair assumption. Jade pulled out the blaster she had taken from the very Imperial scout she had killed and who's uniform she was wearing, set it on stun and shot the two stormtroopers.

"Okay Lorna, time to change uniforms."

The two Jedi did just that as they then dragged the unconscious stormtroopers to a nearby storeroom. Jade would then pull out the same blaster she had previously used to stun the stormtroopers and set it to kill.

"Forgive me again padawan, but if they wake up, they'll alert the base of our presence. We need to remain stealth until the morning."

Jade then shot the two unconscious men ensuring they would never wake up. She then threw the small blaster away and cocked the E11 rifle she had just acquired from the now dead stormtroopers.

"Okay Lorna, let's move out. To the research and development area of the base. Follow me. And act casually. If any one questions us, let me do the talking."

She was walking and trying to not look to awkward in the whole thing honestly so going. She could feel the weight of the armor while lightweight wasn't all for her. She'd rather get her cloak again for protection seeing her master when she pointed out the different things. Mostly the lock down for the night and dangers that could come from the other. "I understand." There was need and purpose and they had plenty of it while she was moving and changing the armors for herself when her master was going to work. It was a little cold and clinical but she could understand the reasoning that it was a dangerous thing. They could leave them alive and risk the mission or kill them and well it cost a little bit of their souls to have it happened. For the greater good. "I am ready master." She was standing there in the stormtrooper armor putting the helmet on. "But i think I am a little short for a stormtrooper."

As Lorna finished putting on her stormtrooper armour / uniform, the fact that Lorna looked a little short in it was evident. Infact Lorna would comment on the fact herself.

"Umm yes you're a little short. This means you might stand out, hence why If anyone asks questions, just let me do the talking. Anyway we need to find out where the research area is. One of the terminals should tell us where. Let's go."

Jade would then lead the way. They didn't need to travel far to the closest terminal. At this point no one had paid any attention to the two Jedi disguised as stormtroopers. It also didn't take Jade long to locate what they were looking for using the terminal since the base in itself was very much a scientific research facility.

"Got it, let's move. Just walk casually and hopefully no one will look twice at us."

Then as they got closer to where they intended to go, a female officer did take notice. Especially at the shorter unusual stormtrooper.

"You to stop right there. What are your designation numbers and who is your commanding officer."

The young Imperial woman officer would demand as Jade stepped ahead of Lorna to face the officer directly.

"You don't need to know our numbers nor who our commander is, we're just stormtroopers on standard patrol duty."

Jade would wave her hand at the officer, using the Force to trick and persuade her.

"I don't need to know your numbers or who your commander is. Your on duty, carry on then."

And with that the woman left the two stormtroopers who continued to walk in the direction of the lab. Eventually they would get there and uncontested. Jade opened the door and entered. The lab looked deserted. Something didn't look quite right.

"Seems to easy. No one is around."

Well Jade spoke a little to soon. Within seconds the room would be full of stormtroopers, guns trained on the two disguised Jedi. And then the base commander would show himself along with the very same woman Jade had tricked minutes earlier. They had been discovered. The general ordered the two Jedi to take off their helmets in which Jade and Lorna complied to.

"So who is the leader, you?"

The general demanded to know pointing at Jade.

"And are you the one responsible for killing the same stormtroopers you took that armour from? We found their bodies you rebel scumbags."

"Yes it was all me, she had nothing to do with it. She's just following my orders."

Jade would quickly reply taking all the blame trying to protect her padawan. Although it probably wasn't gonna make a difference in the end. The general would then come closer to Jade. At the same time two stormtroopers took hold of her and forced Jade on her knees. At that moment, the general pulled out his blaster and grabbed Jade by the hair pulling her head back. Then with the butt of his gun he hit Jade across the face and forehead, and then the back of the head knocking her out cold.

"Take that armour off her and disarm her."

He then looked at Lorna and ordered her to do the same, before the stormtroopers took her to a holding cell and at the same time dragged Jade's unconscious body into the same cell Lorna was put in.

"We'll interrogate you shortly you rebel scum so don't get too cozy."

The general would add, as the young Imperial woman that was with him would kick the unconscious Jade in the gut, and then the two would leave, leaving both Lorna and Jade alone in the cell.

Lorna was going with her master and watching it all, focusing on some of the thing with most of her attention. She could see the people working with her master and following suit with some of the things. The one coming up to them first had the padawan keeping her attention on the helmet. She didn't speak or make a sound when her master was handling the things. Getting them past her before they were being drawn into another area and flooded with stormtroopers, she looked at the man getting her helmet taken off as portions of her armor and her head were on what they were doing. She heard her master and saw her get knocked out while standing there and trying to move before she was being taken out of the armor and stood there in the cell with the body glove on but missing the rest. She looked at her master and knelt down to check on her. "Are you okay master?"

A couple of hours had passed, Jade began to wake up. She could see the blurred image of a face and someone shaking her.

"Master, master are you okay, wake up!"

Jade could hear the shouting, as eventually she woke up and then could see the blurred facial image as that of her padawan Lorna. Her head however was ringing and it hurt. Obviously from the blow she had received to her head.

"I'm okay Lorna, did they hurt you?

Jade asked as she slowly got herself up. She felt cold with virtually no clothes on, as their Imperial captors had stripped them of the stormtrooper armour they had stolen. And then the cell door would hiss opened as that same Imperial woman they had already met, entered accompanied by two armed stormtroopers and brought in their original clothing. She threw the clothes that belonged to both Jedi on the ground and approached Jade grabbing her by the back of the neck. Jade looked a mess as she was shaking from the cold and had some blood coming out of her lips and from scratches on her forehead.

"Put those on, the both of you. We'll be coming back shortly for your interrogation."

Then she eyed Jade directly, anger and hatred fuming from her.

"My name is Valeria. One of those stormtroopers you murdered in cold blood was my fiancée. Our wedding was to be in two weeks. Not anymore no thanks to you, you Rebel Jedi scumbag. Once we're done with the interrogations, I will personally see to it that you die a slow and painful death."

She then let go of Jade's neck and slapped her across the face. This caused Jade to stumble and then fall to the floor. Valeria and the two stormtroopers then left as the door hissed shut behind them. Jade got herself up again and looked at her padawan.

"We need to come up with a plan of action. Especially now that we have one very angry Imperial woman who's got it in personally for me. You got any ideas? Clearly we'll have to wait until they come back to get us for the interrogation. And that won't be long either so we need to think fast Lorna."

Jade spoke as she slowly got dressed in her original clothes as did Lorna.

Come up with a plan in a short time..... She was looking at her master and rapid thoughts went across her mind though. They could come up with something.. might not be able to use the force but if they could get their stuff then that could work out just fine. "Maybe master, if we can get one of their termal packs opened we can bluff our way out of here." She was thinking about it with her attention going to the clothing as she was looking over it and getting changed with her eyes on some of the things. "The woman is angry and going to let her emotions fuel her actions. If she can be pushed further she might try to forgo the interrogation and go for an execution. When she does we can use her anger as a distraction to escape. Disable the defenses and let the jungles creatures come. They are outside and might be waiting for a chance as some do outside sonic fences."

As Jade slowly and painfully put on her clothes, she listened to her padawan's suggestions.

"Foregoing the interrogation and going straight to my execution, I don't want to risk it. Already they've managed to catch us, so they're no slouches. And I can probably bet that if they end up killing me, you'll follow suit not long after."

As Jade finished off her words, there would be no more time to discus the plan any further as the door hissed open again. This time it was a male officer present with 4 stormtroopers taking up his guard.

"You there! Time to come with us for your interrogation."

The black uniformed man would say pointing at Jade and signalling 2 of his stormtroopers to take Jade by force.

"After we're done with you're murderous scum of a leader here, you'll be getting your turn too baby face."

The man would quickly then momentarily eye Lorna. However in the relatively short time, Jade would be about to demonstrate to her padawan the colossal advantages Force users had over non Force users. Stretching out with the Force, Jade sensed that these men were the only 5 in their cell, or about to enter their cell, plus the 2 at officers at the front reception area of the detention centre. Jade looked at the 2 stormtroopers about to grab her and gave them both a death stare.

"I don't think so fools."

Jade using the Force pulled the 2 of them in towards her, but would move out of the way at the last second to have the 2 stormtroopers hit the cell wall hard and fall to the ground cold. Jade then leaped at the man in the uniform and pushed him towards Lorna, as she Force pushed the other 2 stormtroopers into the wall opposite the holding cell door. The 2 stormtroopers would also hit the wall hard knocking them out.

"Take out that officer now!"

Jade would yell out to her padawan as the black uniformed man she had nudged out of the way was thrown directly at her. Then she would Force run at one of the officers at the front reception. Jade had to take them out before they could sound any alarms. And she would do so with absolute speed, precision and unfortunately ruthlessness. Before the first officer had seen it coming, Jade took him in a head lock, stepped behind him, took his blaster and shot him in the back killing him. Then using him as a shield at the other officer who had already retrieved his own blaster, threw the dead officer's body at him. As he stumbled back trying to regain his balance, Jade shot him dead centre in the chest sending him off to the next life. Jade was able to stop them from sounding the alarms, however they would have to move quickly as it would undoubtedly not take the Imperials long to realise that no one would be showing up to the interrogation. Jade quickly ran back to her cell where Lorna was, hoping that she had successfully disposed of the armed officer she had pushed towards her earlier.

Lorna was looking at them, trying to keep herself under control looking over many of the things. Slowly moving with attention at the ones there while she was letting attention slip to the ones coming to get her master. Her idea was well.... yeah she knew it was a dangerous idea to try to provoke them. Her mind was racing when the one was working tot take her as she clenched her fist and was grinding her teeth a little. The tension in her jaw before she was going over some of the things to try and stop them. Jade had a plan and was enacting it as Lorna moved ready for anything until the jedi master told her what to do and Lorna was moving to do as directed and stop the man. Her hands coming up and grabbed his weapon and then his helmet jerking on it to damage the comlinks inside from someone removing it the wrong way. She moved the helmet enough to get her arm around his neck holding it for a moment before she used him as a shield driving her knee into the back of his to bring him down in a sleeper hold. "Do we know where they have our stuff master?"

As Jade ran back to the cell they had been in prior, she would be relieved to see that her padawan had taken care of the Imperial officer she had thrown at her.

"Excellent Lorna, you're still in once piece. As we were discussing, I would agree with you Lorna. Let's try and lower the sonic force field shields around the base. The wild life could help us......and could screw us too. But given our odds here, it's worth the risk. As for our weapons, we'll have to use their blasters for now, however our own weapons should be in the room adjacent to this one which is where they keep confiscated stuff. Follow me."

Jade's E11 blaster was set to kill. She had no intention to go easy on an enemy willing to kill both herself and padawan. She and Lorna exited the detention area and without hesitation, Jade shot and killed the two stormtroopers that were positioned there. She then entered the next room where there weapons were and shot all but one officer, a woman who was standing close to Jade and attempted to disarm her. A struggle would break out, however it wasn't long until Jade wrapped her arm around her neck, snapping it clean. The sound of cracking bone made a horrible sound as Jade and Lorna quickly retrieved their lightsabres.

"Okay Lorna, first we find a way to let the shields down, then we blow the reactor up and make the place go boom with all the Imperials in it, and must importantly of all, their research on their biological weapon. Let's go."

Jade and Lorna would also pick up as many thermal detonators as possible before storming out to the battle that awaited them.

all sounded like a plan as she was looking it over. Not as comfortable with a rifle but she could make it work with a few of the things. Slowly though the padawan was wondering what and how best to go about the different goals. She was ready to begin while moving and holding the rifle at the ready. "Alright then masters lets lock and load." Oh yeah she could be badass action star and go kickk some butt. THey'd be able to get the shields and reactors sabotaged for the stuff. "We should also make sure all communications are down we don't want them sending the data offsite or calling for reinforcements." Yeah she was thinking of some good things now while it brought her attention around the room while going for their equipment. Her saber would come in handy for the doors.

"Good thinking regarding their communications Lorna, let's go."

It wasn't long before the two would encounter a small group of stormtroopers. However it was no problem for either Jedi to overcome. Using their lightsabres, they were able to parry all blaster bolts, sending them back at them, and for the rest, a few swings of their lightsabres, ended them.

"Communication room is up ahead. Move!"

The two got there and as Jade entered, using the Force she threw the two Imperial officers present across the room. The force in which they hit the wall would knock them out cold.

"Okay Lorna, find out how to disable all communications leaving the base and also how to deactivate the shield. I'll cover the door for more hostilities."

Lorna felt a small surge when she grabbed her saber. Getting their stuff back while she was looking over some of the things moving with her attention on some of the larger things. Like deflecting shots from stormtroopers as she slid the golden bands on her wrist and the tora'yor hummed in her hand. Igniting with blue fire before she caughter a bolt and fueled the force in her body. Surging forward down the hallway with more in a small bubble of blue fire and energy. she could make it into the communications room and what was she going to do while looking around... Hmm how best to disable the communications. She activated the saber with a snap hiss and went Kylo Ren on the console slashing and smashing it for the full effect of getting it handled. "'Understood master we will get it all handled." A look back at the hacked pieces. "Communications are disabled."

Jade turned to see what Lorna had done, however it had been clearly obvious from the noise that Lorna had made while hacking at everything.

"Umm well okay. What ever works, works then. Good work Mrs Ren."

Jade laughed a little at her padawan's sarcasm regarding the dark side Force user Kylo Ren from centuries past, despite the imminent danger they were both clearly in.

"The sheild is still up. Take a look around and see if you've missed anything."

Jade yelled out as she once again turned to face the door and readied herself to face the group of stormtroopers closing in on their location.

Lorna nodded and was looking at the things, she was guessing the shield and communications wouldn't be in the same room if only for security. Spread thin the attackers or make them have to focus on a single location at a time. Either way she heard the boots and moved with her saber activated in one hand while the free hand was up with a blue shield at the ready. Lorna breathed deeply the scent of the air while she was looking. "No consoles for the shields but there is a map, we can get to the shields down the hallway this way." She said it pointing while looking back at her master and thinking of something that they could do to slow them down and get a small advantage over the more dangerous ones. She kicked one of the troopers packs of thermals with a delayed timer as she motioned for her master to come with her. "Lets move."
