Mission to Nar Shaddaa [Black Sun]

"Thank you Mr. Ash," Domino quietly replied over the comm before her 'guests' had arrived. Taking her seat, she made a last few adjustments on the projection over her desk before banishing it and smoothing her formal robes. She'd wanted to wear her battle armor but that would have sent the wrong message to diplomats, now she was almost wishing she had. "Safeties off people, don't take any chances if they start something." This last was commed to all the security personal, who'd been briefed on fighting force users, while the three jedi were in the turbo lift on the way up.

When they finally did enter her office, Domino had to give the red-haired one a good looking over. She had so much stuff strapped about her it was a wonder she could keep her balance. Whatever, it made them feel safe. As if they weren't the ones that had sought her out. Waving at a pair of comfortable seats across the desk from herself, she invited them in before quietly speaking. "I am the Vigo, please tell me what is so important that the Republic would send two Jedi Guardians right after I've talked to your interim Chancellor." In a way this was Domino calling them out, a verbal foil by not calling these diplomats Consulars, the usual negotiators of the order. However she left it subtle, non-offensive by itself, the slip could just as easily have been put to a lack of knowledge between the peacekeepers and the combatants.

When @[member="Sopher Jakobs"] dropped the datapad, Daella had a quick twitch at the corner of her mouth. She remained quiet and motioned for her Padawan to follow close on the journey to Domino’s office.

Standing straight, Daella presented a still face to the Vigo. Her hands remained folded and relaxed before her.

Vigo, I am Daella Apparine, Knight of the Republic,” began Daella as she introduced herself, “Regardless of what you’ve talked about with the outgoing administration, I represent the Grand Master of the Jedi Order and the projected incoming administration.

After a pause, Daella then told @[member="Domino"] with a placid tone, “As I said, the Republic has been a target of hostility. This will no longer be tolerated in any form. The Republic asks that this organization takes no action against the Republic regardless of any action it takes in the upcoming future, short of open hostilities on this organization. Should the Black Sun pledge this, the Republic will reciprocate in kind.

"Might I ask who the new Grandmaster is so that I may send them my congratulations?" It was an odd question given Apparine's little speech, of which there were a number of things just blatantly wrong, but Domino would address them in a moment. Right now she would try to keep things polite on the surface. Something @[member="Daella Apparine"] had practically thrown out the window when she nullified Domino's previous negotiations with the Republic.

During the entire time Aela was silent. She kept her eyes on these Jedi closely, especially the one with the big sword on her back. While they were signing out the datapad Aela huffed when the little Jedi bot had dropped it. Nervous little guy and he had every right to be. Before this day was done there was a good possibility something drastic could happen. She did wonder why the lead Jedi bothered to bring him along anyway. When they'd come to @[member="Domino"] Aela stood by the door, mainly to be the roadblock should they try and make a break for it if things went sour. She leaned against the wall behind her like before and listened as the Vigo and @[member="Daella Apparine"] conversed.

Diana stood behind and next to Daella as her bladesister began to speak with Domino, she had a stoic uninterested look on her face, as though this very moment didn't matter much to her at all. This was all semantics to her, she already knew that the Republic and the Black Sun would never become friends or anything approaching it. The Black Sun were criminals. They exploited people, brought them to slavery, and extorted money form innocents. They were everything the Republic stood against, it was that simple.

Still she understood the need for politics, silly as it might seem to her. Diana kept her promise to Daella and the criminal scum. She did not move to draw any of her weapons, even with the leader of the criminal organization in front of her.

Instead she simply stood there, watching the blue Twi'lek with cold dispassionate eyes. She did not hate Domino, no Diana was not capable of such a thing. But she could feel...wrongness from the woman. She may not have been a Sith, but she was evil in her own way.

Ash gave a chuckle, breaking into a small laugh. "Hehehheh. Hah. That's rich. You've been the target of aggression? Your new grandmaster shot Domino in the back without provocation, a warrant, or jurisdiction over the planet. How did we show aggression to you? Did we bleed too aggressively as you assaulted our security forces? Would you like me to line up the families of our fallen troops and make them write you an apology?" He said, his raspy voice sounding like a grim, dull knife grating on a bone. If these children hadn't been informed why their grandmaster had been disavowed from the order before her appointment to chancellor, they were about to find out.

Honestly, he had enough of Jedi audacity. And now, the leader of the Jedi was someone who had been conveniently denied as even working for the Republic a month ago when answers were demanded for the incident on Contruum. Well, now, it was time for consequences. "Allow me to make something perfectly clear, Jedi. You are not ambassadors of peace, or of what righteous indignation you have. Your grandmaster is a petty warmonger, who believes in fighting, not the force," he said coolly. "Whatever agreement occurs today, the Jedi are not welcome in Black Sun space after this arrangement. If you are to be headed by a terrorist, then you may instead send senators and officials to negotiate here on the Republic's behalf. Not petty warmongers led by a liar," he said calmly.

He looked to the Vigo giving her the "I am sick of this poodoo" face. The last time he had made that face at someone, fourteen men had died. The Vigo knew very well that is was a signal to prepare for the worst. He sighed, looking at them. If this came to blow, he'd try to at least to spare the kid. He had yet to see how useless the Jedi leadership had been, it wasnn't his fault. "I refuse," he said calmly, "To acknowledge the military or criminal authority of a planet that would revoke promised consequences. The Jedi are not held accountable by the republic, that much is evident. So tell me, what assurance do you provide that this isn't another false peace that will turn Nar Shadaa into the next Contruum, or Metalorn, or Roche? What reason in the galaxy can we even begin to claim the Republic, much less a roomful of Jedi, will keep its word?"

Sopher blinked quickly as people rapidly spoke. The woman who was leading the Black Sun didn't look scary or anything, but she was also something dangerous! The boy looked towards Diana who seemed to be peering into the blue woman's soul. He made a note to ask the red head to teach him such a terrifying skill. After the scary bouncer spoke, Sopher felt his hands tighten. How dare he talk down to the Grand Master Selena, the woman was everything one could want in a Jedi. She was strong and powerful, there was no fear in her heart! Taking a step forward, Sopher placed his hands on his hips and frowned.

Standing there he took a moment and then scampered behind the two women - they were strong and he had to be...their back up...with his...

Stun training saber....

Stupid stun lightsaber...

@Mr. Ash @[member="Diana Moridena"] @Aela Kellov @[member="Daella Apparine"] @Domino

When @Mr. Ash spoke up, Daella looked to him and listened to him talk. And talk. And talk. Once he finished, Daella turned her chin slightly up. Her eyebrows narrowed as her blue eyes glared up at the much taller droid.

With her voice remaining halcyonic, Daella replied, “I stand before you because a Jedi’s skills were deemed necessary.

Turning back to @[member="Domino"], Daella then said, “This is not a negotiation. No matter what the Black Sun says, multiple parties have affronted the Republic. This cartel’s activities within the Republic will not be tolerated any more than it tolerates the Republic.

Then, Daella relaxed her arms so they rested at her side. She continued by saying, “The Republic will now be taking action to permanently end hostilities against it. Should the Black Sun step aside and not act against the Republic, it will not be met with force. Should the Black Sun choose to impede the Republic as it goes after the many other parties that have offended it, then the Republic will take action to make sure this cartel will never be able to do so again. I am only here to hear you, the Vigo’s, answer and relay it to the Republic.

Holding up a hand to forestall anymore outburst from Mr. Ash, the Twi'lek never took her cool gaze off the two Jedi except to glance down at the boy when he stepped forward and again when his cowardice won out and he hid himself behind his 'mothers' again. She didn't say anything for the longest time, just stared at the two knights while resting her elbow on her chair's armrest, rotating two softly glowing purple balls the size of walnuts in her palm, their glow intensifying whenever she squeezed down before rotating them again. "Tolerance... Aggression... Reciprocated Pledges... Cartel organization... We are a State girl. We levy taxes, run hospitals, have laws, wage war. Something you seem to not realize. So you come in here, to my house armed as if you want to kill me. After Contruum and with Selena as Grandmaster that very well could be the case." She squeezed the balls again. "Now I made a pact with Halen, one head of state to another, which you're telling me is now void on the Jedi's authority. And now you ask me to renege on my promises as well, to sully my own word and honor." In the window behind her a Nimix cruiser could be seen passing by some ways off. "No."

That was all the warning she gave, and it was all of a command her people would need. Kicking back from her desk, Domino dropped her two balls of Kinetic as her chair sped back to slam into the wall. Ever since she'd created them, she'd been pouring her energy into them, her anger, her... sadness that this had become necessary, to strengthen them and to hide her considered intent. Now she released them at the Jedi from less then four feet away, center-mass to rip through the sternum and then the spine quick as a shot from a musket. Unlike a musket, Domino would keep guiding them back to the jedi for multiple hits or if they dodged them. When she kicked back she'd also grabbed her saber hilt from under her desk and now held its yellow blade in a classic form three defensive stance.

Mr. Ash stood up, calmly. and looked at them. One remote signal from his embedded comm-link, doors were sealed. He dropped a gas grenade on the ground, nodding. The room began filling with a haze. He wondered how well the noble warriors could hold their breath, as he pulled out his sonic shotgun. War it was, then. He switched to infrared-the smoke wasn't enough to kill them, but it was enough to make a haze for everyone. His men seal the exit on his command. Nobody was leaving. No one.

"Pathetic little terrorists, can't even make a veiled threat decently," he surmised out loud. He pulled the trigger, aiming the blast towards Diana Moridena. He didn't want to fight the small kid. After all, he didn't like killing children. Went against his ethics. "Stand down, or I play nasty," he said calmly.

Hearing the tone from @[member="Domino"] as she spoke, Aela's hand crept closer and closer towards her blasters. She could tell where this was going and wanted to be ready. She still made it look like her arms were crossed if the any of the Jedi looked back but that didn't really matter given the amount of time it took for the Vigo to unleash her force on them. That was all the signal she needed. Aela whipped out both blasters and aimed them at the Jedi, one for the redhead and another for the boy. She figured the Vigo wanted the leader for herself. In her head Aela thought it would only be a matter of time before it happened and she was glad it did. With the gas coming in Aela didn't need to worry with her helmet on and the filters she had. Still she kept her weapons prept should they try anything clever.

"You heard the man!" she said in reference to Mr. Ash's warning.

Diana reacted almost instantly, as soon as the Vigo kicked back from her desk her battle precognition began to scream at her as loudly as a massive gong going off in her head. She didn't know what kind of attack was coming, but she knew that something was. Out of complete instinct the Jedi Knight tore her hand forwards and then back, pulling @[member="Domino"]'s own desk from its place on the floor and tipping it over and pulling it towards herself to block the first rounds of kenitite.

She felt the the Kinetite pass over her head and immediately bounced to the side, hearing the clinking of the gas grenade and the puff as it began to release its smoke. She slapped a re-breather into her mouth with her left hand and drew one of her dueling sabers with her right. The blade snapped to life with a loud hiss as it ignited, cutting through the green fog.

The force screamed at her again, and as Ash pulled the trigger Diana once again dropped to the ground in a roll, the sonic wave pulsed over her as she moved closed to the ground and quickly she came up in a dash. Not towards any of the men or women in the room, but towards the doors instead she sent her left hand forward, sending a powerful wave of the force towards @Aela Kellov. With two powerful sweeps of her lightsaber Diana cut through the door.

With a powerful force enhanced kick Diana broke down the door's to Domino's room and exited into the hallway beyond.

Without much reaction, Daella listened to @[member="Domino"]’s rant. She did not move as the dark sider began to form orbs of energy in her palm. Yet once Domino finished and kicked back from her desk, Daella immediately drew her lightsaber hilt from her belt with her right hand. She took a deep breath before Mr. Ash’s gas grenade exploded. Her left hand swiped down and pressed against a device on her belt.

As @[member="Diana Moridena"] threw a desk to shield again Domino’s orbs, Daella dove toward @Sopher Jakobs and grabbed her Padawan tightly with her left arm. The boy stood taller than Daella, yet she still took hold of him. Then once Diana opened the way out, Daella bolted through the door with extreme speed.

Igniting her yellow lightsaber, Daella appeared prepared to bat away blaster fire as she sped away. Targeting the turbolift doors, Daella and Diana would seek a way to escape the space station and inform the Republic of what occurred.

Diana Moridena might have had reflexes the speed of light to react so quickly, ripping a four hundred pound desk of wood and computer and power conduits from the floor and dropping herself, but Kinetic was supposed to smash ferrocrete bunkers and Domino preferred to miniaturize hers for penetration, a trick she'd developed before she had power to throw around. The desk didn't even slow the purple orbs as they made two neat little holes in it and abruptly changed their course to peruse the Jedi. "The whole station is on lock-down you dimwits!" She shouted after them over the sound of the alarm triggered by the destruction of her door. It didn't matter though, they were running into a dead end with the lifts not working and they'd just exposed themselves to the two pairs of guards that had been acting as 'honor guard' at either end of the hall. A detail the Jedi would probably soon regret over looking as they each raised their own shotgun on its widest setting and begun taking the jedi in a lethal crossfire on top of the Kinetic.

"Code is Julio, say again, Julio is active." Domino spoke into her own comm. "Anything leaves the station without my authorization destroy it, and prepare for company, we've got incoming." The Nimix that had been passing the window was one of two that had been circling the station with its fighters, and this deep into the gravity wells of Nal Hutta and Nar Shaddaa they'd be more than enough to intercept any launch. In addition the Home Fleet had just gone from Alert 2 to 1, usually reserved for when there were hostiles on scan and were at full battle stations. On the ground a pair of men stepped out of the customs office with missile launchers and shouldered them before destroying the shuttle and crew that had brought the Jedi there.

Oh good, a fight. With blood and chaos. Grand. He wondered where they thought they were going as he quietly silently stalked behind them. He and Domino had security codes to launch a ship from this satellite. The Jedi didn't. He simply smiled. This would be fun. Stalking his prey. He heard the lockdown order, and kept walking, sending another silent signal. "The three Jedi are to be detained. Avoid killing them, but use lethal force if necessary. This order goes to every troop on this satellite," he said, walking slowly, calmly, to the hangar. They could take their little lift down. He'd do it his way. He lit a powerful, large cigar. Basically, twenty shot of death stick. The fumes around him would be heady for anyone who'd breath. He kept moving. It's not like the little twerps were hard to chase after all. Or that the lift for civilian personnel was the fastest. One Freight elevator, and he could meet them at the hangar. Playtime.

Alea thudded as she was pushed to the wall by the force from the redhead Jedi. She recovered in time to join Vigo @[member="Domino"] and @Mr. Ash along with security as they began to give chase. Hearing as the lace was put on lock-down and that the Jedi were to be detained meant Aela had to considered her tactics. This obviously meant the less lethal ones. As they ran she activated her jet-pack while saying "I'll slow them down!" before flying off in front of the others. When she saw the Jedi she flew towards @Daella Apparine, intent on tackling her to the ground in order to give the others time to catch up and deal with the other two Jedi. With a quick thrust she came zipping up and threw herself onto the Jedi master, trying to disarm her as well.

Diana moved fluidly, as she always did when they entered the hall. She immediately attacked the guards standing outside the door. She thrust her pal forward directly at the guard on the left, smashing the man into the wall and knocking him out. At the same time she sliced upwards at the man on the right, cutting his weapon in two and following up with a kick, disabling the man for a few seconds.

As soon as the guards were down Diana drew her left hand up and crouched slightly. From its scabbard on her back Diana drew Tyrfing. As the blade loosened itself from her back it shined a bright light as Diana channeled the force into it.

The shinning bright blade came out in a quick horizontal slash expertly guided by Diana's hands and the force. Tyrfing struck the two tiny balls of Kinetite, as it did so the blade flashed slightly and gave off a slight ringing noise, then the two balls completely disappeared. The explanation for this strange happening was quite simple.

Tyrfing was a channel for the ability known as Force Light, a Jedi technique that allowed for the extinguishing and containing of Darkside energies, which was what Kinetite was. As Diana sliced the two balls into nothingness a bead of sweat fell from her brow, the strain of using Force Light already weighing on her.

As soon as the threat of the Kenitite had passed Diana whirled around, just in time to see @[member="Aela Kellov "]flying by her. Out of simple reaction Diana pulled back the hand she was holding her ligthsaber with, using the force to tear at the Mercenary and fling her into a wall. Then she began to run down the hall, following after Daella.

Mid stride, Daella tossed @[member="Sopher Jakobs"] at a vent.

Go!” she yelled.

As soon as the two honor guards near the door held up their scatter guns, Daella threw her lightsaber up high. It soared through the air at a high speed. It spun toward the honor guards’ necks and sliced their heads off after they had pulled the trigger several times. It also sliced part of the turbolift door and fell right in front of it.

At the same time as Daella threw her lightsaber, she planted on her left foot and slid to the right and hugged the wall. A several inch protrusion of the wall as a support column shielded her from a few sonic pulses. A couple struck the wall just inches from Daella’s face. @[member="Aela Kellov "]would not have tackled Daella, yet might have been in danger of the sonic pulses from the deceased honor guards and @[member="Diana Moridena"]’s force attack would might impeded her more.

With haste, Daella then continued to dash toward the turbolift. Diana swiftly caught up with her. Daella picked up her lightsaber and reignited it. With the assistance of Diana, Daella and she swiftly sliced a hole into the turbolift doors.

Without wasting a second, Daella and Diana then leaped into the turbolift shaft. With grapples a part of a standard Jedi tool kit, Daella pulled her own out with her left hand and latched it onto the wall. The Jedi would then begin their descent.

Sopher being grabbed quickly by his master he knew that things were getting serious and this wasn’t some training mission. Curling up into a little ball, he made himself smaller so that his master could carry him along easier. Things continued to happen around him and he fought the urge to scream because he was a Jedi! Closing his eyes he quickly felt the wind blowing through his hair. Hitting the wall hard he crashed through the vent wall.

As he rolled he whimpered slightly confused at what he was to do. Biting his thumb, he started to crawl and worked his way through the vent system. Remembering padawan school, he knew where he needed to go and made his way towards the hangers. He had a job to do and he was going to do it really well. Continuing, he reached for his comm he spoke to his master really quickly.

“Open everything right?”
