Mission to Nar Shaddaa [Black Sun]

The violence was sudden, and complete as the Cramoloid watched the initial stages he wasted no time on personal combat. He was the Head of Security, and this left more tools to him then simple combat. Withdrawing one room back the Cragmoloid avoided the gas he had no way to avoid as they simply didn't have a rebreather for his trunk. He was really going to need to get himself some equipment for this kind of warfare. Slamming his ham sized finger at a button he brought up a holo connection to the security center.

::Gundark requires all blastdoors to be raised, trap these Jedi. Track them and lower the ray shields on them. I need a camera feed along the path they travel. Don't follow too closely except with droids, I want these Jedi preferably trapped by ray shields. If not contain them, and vent them into space.

Pressurized sensors caught something moving through the vents, and Gundark smiled grimly. It was a mistake to think criminals hadn't thought of these exits, it was in their nature to expect the unexpected. Activating his com link he spoke over the speakers to whomever was trying to escape via the vents, most likely the child due to the vent size. "Come back towards the main room little Jedi, or I'll activate the security systems in those vents. Gundark doesn't think this fight is worth dying over for a little one, come to Gundark, and you'll go back to the temple. We don't kill children, that much I'll give my word on as a Cragmoloid."

Even as he said this Hutt Legionnaire combat droids were surrounding the passages around the Jedi, the plan was simple really. How many droids were worth losing to vent a pair of Jedi, the answer was simple, a lot. ::Give the word, Vigo, and I'll vent the station in that section. Lets see how their training stands against the void of space.

As soon as they had entered the turbo-lift shaft Diana had sheathed her sword and place her lightsaber on her hip, free-falling within the shaft for only a split second before drawing out her own grapple and throwing it onto the side of the shift. The line went tight and Diana found herself pulled towards the wall, which she hit hard. With an uncomfortable grunt Diana came to a sliding stop next to Daella within the massive vertical drop. She smiled at her bladesister.

“I told you they couldn't be trusted.” Diana said quite simply as the two Jedi Knights began to rappel their way down the turbo-lift. It went quickly, and soon the two of them found their exit. Diana once again drew her lightsaber and in one swift motion sliced through the doors locks, then with the force pushed them apart. As always she was the first to exit, and with a push off of the turbo-lifts walls Diana bounded out into the hallway, her lightsaber drawn.

They were now on the same level as the Casino, the map next to the turbo-lift easily pointed to that and Diana smiled. The Jedi had of course known that they would likely be taken to this station, and like all intelligent beings they had done their research.

All three of the Jedi representatives knew the general lay out of the station, of course they didn't know all the quirks and odds and ends, but they knew it well enough to get around. They were on the civilian section of the Space Station now, the Casino floor would allow them to hide in plain sight...if they got there. Quickly Diana rushed Daella through the station, making sure to hug the wall as they ran.

Once Daella used her grapple gun to latch onto the wall of the turbolift shaft, she began to descend as fast as Diana did with her grapple.

That is why the skills of a Jedi were deemed necessary,” flatly replied Daella to @[member="Diana Moridena"] when she mentioned the unreliability of the Black Sun.

When the pair reached the casino level and Diana opened the turbolift door to it, Daella leaped out of the shaft after Diana. She quickly stowed away her grapple gun on her belt. She still held her yellow lightsaber in her right hand.

Pulling out a comm device from her belt with her left hand, Daella finally replied to @[member="Sopher Jakobs"] saying, “Jakobs, stick to the plan.

After saying that, Daella pocketed the comm device. She hugged the opposite wall of the hall compared to Diana. Ray shield emitters usually only covered the middle of the hall if they were installed inside a starship.

Eventually, the pair of Jedi would have the casino - and thus essentially be in the civilian section. Apartments and the rest of the hotel would have been nearby. The shopping center should have been past the casino. All these places would have surely been funneled toward a single hangar for the civilian functions of the station.

Still, Daella and Diana likely were in a closed off section of the floor. The turbolift to @[member="Domino"]’s office was likely kept off limits to patrons. They would have kept running forward and would have eventually reached the public parts of a casino hotel floor - provided that they were not sufficiently impeded by a specific blast door between them and the casino.

Sopher continued to crawl through the vents and from time to time the vents shook from his weight. He shoved the com back into his robe and continued to move towards the flashing lights. They were everywhere and he knew the plan he needed to stick too. Closing his eyes from time to time as he passed over the vent openings, he whimpered slightly, but continued on. The vents suddenly boomed with a voice and he stopped and raised an eyebrow.

He was being told what to do by someone else? Shaking his head, Sopher frowned. He had vowed to be a Jedi, he vowed to be Daella’s student and only listen to her and the Force. This creature also called him a child.

“IM A MAN YOU POODOO HEAD! I AM A JEDI WE DO NOT NEGOTIATE WITH POODOO HEADS!”

Continuing farther he saw he hit a dead end. Pulling out the stun saber his Master had given him, he used the butt of the saber to bang on the already loose and rather cheap vent. Using all his strength he continued to bang until the vent gave way and he fell. Closing his eyes he prayed the force spared him and he would live to see the day of his Knighting. Continuing to fall, he felt his robe catch onto a large lever. It slowly worked its way down as he soon felt the ground under his boots. Looking up to see how far he actually fell he was hit hard in the face by his stun saber.

“Fething Stun Saber…”

Catching a glimpse of where and what he was stuck on, he tilted his head.

“Tractor Beam 2?”

Wiggling away he moved back towards the entrance to another set of vents.

Aela hit the wall yet again when the force was used against her. She was really starting to hate these Jedi even more for using their precious force instead of fighting like real people did and going head-to-head with her. She recovered in time to see them escape and hear @[member="Grundark"] mention venting the areas if need be. Aela was silent for a moment as she began to think of what to do to stop the Jedi. Checking the scanner and monitor she had on the right wrist part of her armor she saw as everything was being locked-down through the station yet she knew there was still a likeability they'd escape. Looking to Vigo @[member="Domino"] she said "I'll make for my ship. If they manage to get off this moon I'll shoot them out of the sky!" With that she began to make her way towards the landing pad where her ship was waiting.

Well the Jedi certainly were efficient killers, it was a shame they weren't equally skilled diplomats or they would have realized asking to maintain the current peace would have worked much better than vague accusations and threats. You would have thought someone would have told them that in a friendly little planning chat. "They're heading towards the casino mam." Cameras were of course watching nearly everything, especially on the border between private and 'public'. As public as this station ever was, even if every door and shield wasn't already secure and on lockdown there would be no milling mass of civilians. This was a private retreat for the most trusted and deserving members of the Black Sun. "Possibly trying to reach the public hanger mam," the ever helpful voice presumed.

"Thank you, double check that the station is on full combat alert, I don't want a rescue party to blindside us if they get past the blockade." Done in her office for now, Domino stopped on her passage to the lift tube only to pick up a sonic from one of the guards before leaping into the yawning lift. She didn't have climbing gear, it was too slow for her tastes. Instead she rebounded from one wall of the shaft to the other and out the cut door right behind the jedi. Waves of invisible compressed sound were already firing from the gun before she hit the ground, bleeding off the remainder of her excess speed in a roll, she came back up and resumed shooting into the back of @[member="Daella Apparine"] Against the wall like she was, there were very limited options for her to dodge and no convenient supports to take cover behind.

(We felt that 15 was more than fair given that the original 4 Black Sun members had posted already.)
As Diana ran nearer to the wall she heard the resounding noise of a sonic blast fire behind her. Out of pure reaction Diana spun around, doing a sort of ballerina dance move to check out who and what was behind her. As soon as she saw the blue gleam of Twi'lek Skin a scowl graced her face. None of the sonic blasts landed near her, and thus Diana continued her run landing gracefully back on her feet.

With a swift motion Diana motioned to Daella, a single flick of her wrist. She brought one of her dueling sabers back into her left hand and ignited the blade with a snap and a hiss.

Then an instant later Diana stopped running, skidding to a halt and spinning around. She stabbed her lightsaber down into the thin metal and spun herself around. She sliced a small hole into the floor, the lightsaber moving easily through the thin durasteel plating. As soon as she circled around Diana dropped down onto the floor below, the thick durasteel circle with Diana on top hitting the deck below with a heavy thud.

As soon as she landed on the tier below Diana stood up from her crouch and immediately ran around the nearest corner.

As soon as @[member="Domino"] fired at Daella, she rolled across the hall. The sonic blasts just barely missed her. Her lightsaber deactivated mid-roll. Then, Daella fell into the hole that @[member="Diana Moridena"] created.

Once her feet landed on the floor, Daella and Diana kept running through the halls. It was clear that this floor was meant for the hotel, as doors that would likely be entrances to suites dotted the halls. They then went down another flight of stairs and turned another corner.

Upon doing so, a metal door with “Emergency” in Huttese met the pair.

Here!” yelled Daella and she ran to the door and opened it.

Before the Jedi were six doors into metal tubes - escape pods. It was clear with the giant space left behind that two pods had already launched. The room had a red flashing light at the ceiling.

Back in the Vents:

Sopher shuddered as he scratched his back, he didn’t like the vents at all and hoped his Master would take him to McYoda’s after this – he was two Jedi Master Action Figures away from having a complete collection. Continuing through the vents he felt a sudden brush of wind blow into his face. Poking his head out through the hole he noticed very white pristine walls. There were alarms going on around him as he realized there was a lock down.

Falling out of the vents with a bit more grace, he landed on his backside and then stood up. Looking around he noticed his Master and Diana. His eyes welled up with tears, but he held them in knowing that if he let them fall the women wouldn’t see how manly he was. Running towards his Masters he waved.

“Master, I can launch the pods for us and we can get the poodoo out of here!”

Waiting for the women to get settled, Sopher pressed the launch on all of the 6 escape pods, once the activation sequence started; he used the force to enhance his speed to dive into the closing doors and landed happily in the lovely red head’s lap as the pods shot off into space.

“Helllooo~ Diana!”

Domino watched as the pods launched, all three in one and confirmed as off her station, good. "Vigo to overwatch, scan the six pods that just launched for live signatures and detain and incapacitate the jedi aboard. Use non-lethal measures only." The two Nimix cruisers and their fighters would have an easy time hemming in the unwieldy escape pods and capturing them and a lot of time to do it in since they had to travel about 115,000 miles to reach either the moon or planet. They each carried four tractor beams designed for interdiction and should the pods somehow evade the station could fire on them with whichever of its three ion cannon batteries was in position. If the pods were captured, stun grenades and cones of stun energy would be shot into and around the mouth of the pod or any other opening cut into it to disable the jedi. After which an irate Domino would return them to Coruscant to get to the bottom of this diplomatic poo-doo they'd presented. Fracking rogue jedi trying to stir up trouble.
((Distance halved from Earth/moon distance))

The escape pods flew in a bunch together toward Nar Shaddaa. The Nimix cruisers successfully identified the one escape pod with life signs. Yet as their tractor beams attempted to lock on the escape pod, all pods activated their escape thrusters at maximum capacity.

Four of the escape pods, including the one carrying the Jedi, slipped by the tractor beams. Two, whose engines failed to activate promptly, got caught by the cruisers’ tractor beams. The rest of the escape pods managed to slip just outside of the range of the cruisers’ tractor beams.

Soon, fighters began to pursue the four remaining pods. As Domino ordered, the fighters attacked with their ion cannons. They struck each of the pods, thus disabling the electronic systems of the pods momentarily.

In the cramped space, Daella pushed toward the front of the pod. The thrusters of her escape pod and the others ceased to run. Yet with the pods rushing closer to the Smuggler’s Moon, space traffic around the pods grew more congested. Traffic to the moon remained constantly high due to being a haven of smugglers and the center of trade in the galactic east.

Closing her eyes, Daella placed her hand on the ceiling of the escape pod. Space traffic surrounding the pods continued to increase in density. Starships attempted to avoid the incoming pods and fighters. However, the three unoccupied pods collided into three freighters. The ensuing explosion rocked Daella’s pod and surrounding starships. The rest of the traffic impeded the starfighters chasing the escape pods.

Yet without the maneuvering thrusters directing Daella’s escape pod, it still managed to avoid ships by a hair while rocketing toward Nar Shaddaa. Daella remained deep in concentration - it could be assumed that she attempted to use the Force.

Eventually, Daella’s escape pod entered the atmosphere of Nar Shaddaa. The pod streaked through the sky as if a meteor. As it neared the planet’s skyline, Daella rushed to a red latch inside the pod. She pulled down on the lever with great effort.

Then, the escape pod released a parachute. Its speed as it fell to the ground drastically decreased. Yet, the escape pod still slammed into the roof of a warehouse at the lower levels.

By the time Black Suns officials would have shown up at the crash site, the escape pod’s hatch would have been opened. No Jedi would have been found. Daella, Diana, and Sopher escaped into the underworld of Nar Shaddaa.

((We are done with this thread, @[member="Domino"] ))

Aela had made it to her ship in time to see the pods escaping. She watched as they were fired upon and then watched the final one, likely carrying the Jedi, fall to the planet's surface. Ordering a small squad to accompany her down she tracked the crash sight where the pod landed. Ordering fr weapons to be drawn she approached the pod only to find it empty. She looked about but there was nothing. No trace of the Jedi. They'd escaped. Aela only narrowed her eyes and looked off in all directions. This was bad and now she had to report this to the Vigo reluctantly.

When she'd come back to @[member="Domino"] 's office she said "They got away, Vigo. And they left no trace. The Jedi are officially lose on Nar Shaddaa."

((Action interrupt when life signs identified, as a side note, launching pods should already be at maximum thrust to escape the exploding ship they are escaping from))
As the Nimixi identified the empty pods they were destroyed and, once past the floatsam they left behind, multiple tractor locks were engaged on the one remaining pod. Caught out and already lacking maneuverability, it was an easy shot for the station's ion cannons before it was tractored into the waiting hanger of one of the cruisers. Suspended in the air by the tractor, it was surrounded by soldiers spaced out as to be difficult to assault them while leaving their own lines of fire clear. Specialists with cutting torches began cutting the pod open so the passengers could be subdued, if taken hostage themselves, the Jedi would still be fired upon as unconscious workers were preferable to jedi on the loose.
