Most Curious Creatures - SJO Dominion of the Tholatin Hex

Objective: 2 Nighttroad

Peps: SJO

The whole who is in charge thing seemed to be a no brainier when [member="Jyoti Nooran"] arrived, Tana had more or less expected the Jedi master to be the head of such an operations, thankfully he was not late like all the other times. He could tell that the operation was rushed and the briefing was quick to the point and informative. Of crouse time being a major factor, the feeling of finally seeing some sort of action making the Jin excited.

Hammer teams task seemed to ring a small about of dejavu for Tana, had not [member="Varindar Asyt"] done something similar a while ago during the whole slave sting operation? Wait could these people be apart of that ring? It made sense considering they where all working around SJO space, but it was just speculation, for now he'd have to follow [member="Valkren Calderon"] lead along with the new girl [member="Kat Decoria"], another ranger.

The operation time frame was tight, but thankfully everyone had access to camo, even if the cloak looked a little the top, but would not matter, after all the user would be invisible. Collecting his own kit the young Jin turned around to Varindar, giving a light tap on the shoulder, "seems like slavers and you just can't get away from one another, looking forward to seeing how you do things out there, head you're a Knight now".

So, it was to be rescuing the hostages huh? that was something she could get behind wholeheartedly. She wasn't the best slicer, well ok to be fair she'd never actually sliced anything before but she had faith that Master Nooran would have that side of things covered although if she didn't the girl patted her pocket, making sure the crystal device was well protected, she'd been sure to bring her handy dandy slicing assistant. Satisfied she was ready Asaraa levered herself up out of her chair, holding up a hand in greeting to Charlie, a soft smile pulling up her lips as she nodded at her friend, twisting the chair around back to its original position before she padded over towards Jyoti. The noise cancellers in her suit were already active, her footsteps not even making a sound as she moved. it was a little unsettling, an almost feeling of weightlessness although she could feel the floor through the soles of her shoes. Bouncing slightly to accustom herself to the feeling Asaraa pulled herself to a stop as she followed Jyoti onto the Transport, "Do we have any idea of the number of pirates we're dealing with?"

"It's somewhat similar to the sting operation on Chalacta as far as I'm concerned"

Now that she grabbed her phantom kit and, from there, boarded the Eidolon transport, she heard about her part in the mission: planting coma gas into the life support system. And that's as far as the similarity ended with Chalacta: in both cases, there were gas-powered methods in used but this operation was, in fact, time-sensitive, and she prayed that there were no FUs among the pirates. And no null-fields either, but one usually went against the other. The hotelier knew that this sort of missions was the cost of living the high life she seemed to associate as a perk of Jedi-hood, but then again, she didn't often get out of the hotel: even running a boutique hotel was, in fact, time-consuming, to say nothing of a high-rise hotel or a chain of hotels. Plus her contract as the GM of the Crown Nebula specified that her employment may be terminated if she falls to the dark side or is otherwise ejected from the Order. Hence why Jedi-hood seemed inseparable from her job as a hotelier. She hoped that the window hasn't closed, and that there would still be hostages left to save, where they are. It's only when on final approach that she would activate the phantom kit, which may come sooner than later at this rate.

Brows lofting slightly, Inaya craned her neck to see out the viewport. As the stars snapped into view all around them, she saw the sunset hues of the planet Tholatin. “Whoaaa,” She whispered, gaze still captivated by the world waiting for them. As the ship descended to their destination, she watched curiously as the rocky landscapes unfurled into view. And then, there was a small town visible within the mountain terrain. From here, it almost looked like a toy – a small scene with huts and figurines.

Upon landing, Inaya gathered up her jacket and slid her gaming device into her backpack.

As she walked alongside Cassius, Inaya looked up as he asked about Kashyyyk. It took her a moment to think about her experience. Indeed it was very different from Circumtore. Inaya felt odd without her chores, but it was also a weight off her small shoulders.

“Kashyyyk nice,” She said, attempting a smile. “Many trees.” Inaya spread her arms, to punctuate her point. “I learn lots and lots,” The girl said with a big nod. “But – no friends.”

The last words out of her mouth made it form into a small frown. Now that Cassius and T4 were back, she hoped to travel with them. The cool breeze drew her attention, and she stepped down the ramp to find the strange quiet of the town. Brown eyes grew wide at the sight of little creatures that seemed to have made themselves at home here. Inaya noted that several passersby didn’t seem to take notice of the ship and new arrivals, but were rather content to hold onto a creature or even two.

As a woman approached, she stuck close to Cassius. Inaya was still a bit wary of strangers, for very good reason. The villager was in her own world. Blinking, she followed along as they began to make their way to the supervisor’s office. She knew that other Silver Jedi members would be there, too… but she had met so few at the temple that she wasn’t quite sure what to expect.

A little creature followed at Inaya’s heels, she peeked over her shoulder to watch it. The sight made her giggle, “Little friend!” She called, grinning wide.

Detective work, mysteries and the like seemed to find its way across Allyson Locke’s desk. One could say she was an Agent that doubled as a Pilot – though the truth was the other way around. Still, her sleuthing skills was spotted by the SIS and that meant she had some of the best training in the galaxy. As much as she wished she had never gone that route, it was a good feeling to know that the time spent with the Alliance didn’t go to waste.

Flipping through the small file she was given she noticed that she was partnered with the Jedi Josh Dragonsflame. Her mind returned to the lovely evening of her sixty-third night undercover and he decided to get a little friendly with the locals – or something along those lines.

The folder found its way to her face as she covered it and mimicked a small scream. She had hoped she could avoid working sensitive cases such as this with the man. As she continued to walk to their meeting point, she kept her face covered. Stopping, she could still smell Zeltros on him and looked up from behind the folder to spot him. Reaching into her pocket, she pulled the aviators she typically wore and put them over her eyes.

Cutting the distance between them, she patted his muscle boobs with the folder and smirked from behind the sunglasses. “This time, let’s keep it in our pants okay? I heard about Zeltros buddy.” Little did he know, she was the one on the other end of his comm. She would head out towards the ramp as the announcement was made it was time to go. They were heading into town and she knew the man would follow, his legs were long enough to keep up with her. "Come now Master Jedi, the ladies of Esau's Ridge await!" Chuckling, the Corellian made way towards the Supervisor's office.

Josh would soon be approached by his partner, who while he thought the world of her and her capabilities, probably wouldn't have been happy if he'd known she had wanted to avoid doing a case like this with him. Either way, the Jedi was all business when Allyson approached, giving her a curt nod in greeting when she walked over. His demeanour was completely different from the relaxed, more outgoing one he had shown on Zeltros, and from the warm one he'd shown when the two had sparred before. Allyson would pat his chest with the folder, and made a comment about Zeltros. This hadn't been the first time he'd been given chit in some form about Zeltros, and over and over he'd explained the plan for Team Hulk Smash going in. They had adhered completely to the plan they had set out to be undercover patrons, through and through. Sure, some things hadn't gone the way he thought, but Josh had been able to turn them to his advantage to ensure the mission's success.

"Zeltros. Our team adhered according to plan" He spoke calmly as he and HK would begin to walk toward the ramp. "Undercover work's nothing new, some folks can't tell between fiction and reality when you're under. Haven't done that kind of work in years before this for that very reason" He elaborated quickly and calmly as his expression remained stoic and neutral, his thoughts primarily on the mission at hand. What could be causing these disappearances?

He didn't address the ladies remark, buried too far in his thoughts to hear it. Whatever it was that caused these disappearances, they were strong enough to cause the same to happen to a team of Jedi. The threat they were to face would be incredibly dangerous, most likely. He needed to be ready. Before they reached the top of the ramp, he did look toward Allyson.

"You said you missed field work. It's been awhile, yes? Are you sure you're going to be alright?" Josh would ask.

"Query: I detect concern in your voice, Master. Do you worry for Pilot Locke?" The HK unit at his side would ask. "Suggestion: It is okay to tell someone if you care about them Master. I understand that you have never been any good at doing so."

"Shut it" Josh commented, without looking back at either of them. "Should have brought your kit to access your mute button. Ideas for next time."

Seemed that she would be working seperately from Isard which didn't bother her much, Kat was use to be independent. Hell, she preferred it. Hated when pilot's were watch over her shoulder and checking she could do her job, one she been doing since she was 5. Annoyed her deeply, however, she offered a smile to Isard and accepted the stealthy cloak. "Thanks. I'll be fine. Done loads of missions for the Rangers before being a Jedi, be a piece of cake. Wonder if we'll get cake afterwards..." Kat pondered on that before heading over to the "Hammer" team.

Looking at them, there was Tanaski whom she met briefly when she did some melee combat training and then there was Valkren Calderon who had been in charge of when she had been a full-time Ranger. Varindar was a face she did not recognise but was sure she would be a pleasant enough person. Cracking her knuckles she looked over to Valkren, "so we gunna show those guys who the better team is?" She smirked to herself, loving to turn this into a "who is the better team" challenge. Add some fun to the seriousness.

The colonel waited and listened as Jyoti continued with her briefing. Listening few details that Valkren already knew, but bringing in a wealth of new information that was vital to the colonel and the mission. The limited window and short timeline the mission balanced on made things tricky. His rangers were efficient, lethal, precise..They were everything you needed in a closing window scenario..Yet, they weren't -always- the best with stealth.

Valkren took a quick glance to the members of Hammer team once Jyoti designated him team leader, there were a wide variety of skillsets, but all effective assets when it came to a mission like this.

Varindar, Decoria, and Tanaski. All fit the bill for the mission at hand.

A grin grew on the colonel's face, his entry plan beginning to hatch. His thought process was interrupted when Decoria, a mechanic that was once under his command when she was a ranger, asked about the better team challenge. This was no interruption, he enjoyed these types of challenges, so the grin remained.

"I'll be damned if I let Jyoti show up my team again, so hell right." He nodded, agreeing with his old subordinate and offering her a quick fist-bump. Extra motivation always helped move the rangers along, even if it happened to be a sort of game in a high-stakes mission..As long as they buckled down when it really got hot.

"Alright, Hammer team. You heard her, we're on the clock so lets load up!"

With that being said, the group of rangers that had followed him up to this point turned toward a separate Eidolon transport, specifically marked for the hammer team. Valkren himself pulled himself onboard before placing his helmet above one of the seats. He moved through the transport and between soldiers and Jedi alike, checking with the pilots in the cockpit, just to be sure on who was flying them. Valk' would soon switch into a frequency that consisted of the members of their team, assuring that they would hear his next statement on the plan.

"Master Nooran has set insertion coordinates for the pirate vessel. They're located in the gaps of the landing struts, however our method of getting there is a little tricky."

Specialist Lowder looked up from his seat, blinking and shaking his head. He knew what was coming.

"To avoid staying in one place for too long and being detected with our transport, we're going to jump mid-flight path as the transport makes a pass."

"How did I karkin' know it" Lowder ran a gloved hand over his face, preparing himself for two fears that the unit constantly gave him hell for: jumping from a moving ship, and the emptiness of space.

Valkren's smile was still apparent, as so was many of the other rangers in their unit as they glanced over to Lowder, some even patting him on the shoulder.

"We make use of our suits thrusters to get us to our mark. If we time it right, we should have a clear path to the landing struts. Once there, we unhinge any maintenance panel we can find, and we're in."

The colonel glanced around, assuring that know one was popping up with a sudden question before he continued.

"Decoria, Yumi, and Asyt will be the core members of Hammer team to make the jump. Specialist Lowder and Corporal Bowers will be the only other members of my unit to accompany myself and Hammer, they'll be on coma gas detail until we reach life support. Once in, and once everything's taken care of, Lieutenant Harris will bring the transport back around with the rest of the rangers to provide security for us and the hostages."

He took one last glance around, mainly to the core members that would be making the jump through space and physically landing on the ship (characters).

Zeltros had been done and dusted for some time, but Iakchi hadn't gotten to see much action since. It was probably because of his role in getting [member="Saka Amara"] drunk and limiting her abilities, though to his credit it was entirely accidental and based on their language barrier. This time, thankfully, there were no drink to be had and thus no risk of compromising the mission because of it.

The trip here had been passed mainly by meditation on the part of the Wookiee, trying to get some insight from the Force about what they may be seeing here. Of course his skill with a saber had always been far superior to his connection with the Force, something his master had warned him of in the past. It was a detriment that Iakchi would need to overcome if he was ever to be more of a brute to the Order. Of course being a brute had its advantages still.

With word that they would be landing, Iakchi finished up his attempts and made his way to look for Saka, hoping to partner up again with the Mirialan padawan.

Ugohr Poof

Objective: BYOO (food truck)
Location: Tholatin refugee camp

"May mesa take yoursa order?"

"I would like a basket of fries please"

Cooking, oh cooking, he started to wish that the food supplies of the camp weren't earmarked for a specific purpose. Ugohr knew that it would be difficult to keep up with the demand with only two registers manned in the truck and that the truck was insufficient to keep the refugees fed while another makeshift, popular kitchen was in place for coping with the dietary demands, supplied from the main food supply of the encampment. The next customer wanted something much more straightforward to prepare than pho, that is, fries. So the Gungan then proceeded to put in the size of a serving that he would normally associate with fries in a stand-alone basket, while keeping some in reserve for the next customer that wants a combo or another basket of fries. Typically, he cooked two baskets of fries in one go when he deep-fried fries; it was just the cold, hard truth about how much he could put in the deep-frier's cooking basket. But two baskets of fries of that size would be gone in about five minutes at most, so he had to rinse and repeat the process each and every time a new customer wanted those. It's not like pho where he had to simmer for about half an hour and prepare a new cauldron at that frequency.

As Jyoti gave the briefing to the motley band of Jedi in the hangar, Saka gave the elder Wookiee knight a nod and motioned for the Wookiee to join her. The Padawan felt a pang of anxiety to hit her chest as she listened to the briefing and the details of the operation, hopefully she would not be crippled by Wookiee alcohol a second time. Nevertheless she maintained a facade of serenity that masked any outward signs of worry as she stood to attention.

"Aren't you fortunate, you're stuck me a second time." She said mildly, managing a small smirk as she folded her hands against the small of her back.

The soft-spoken redhead had spent some time in the crew quarters of the Stardust Melody in order to catch up on some much-needed rest whilst they traveled. While searching for [member="Cassius Droma"], the young woman had not been idle, and for some reason kept finding herself in adventure after adventure. With the wake of the destruction of the Alliance barely behind them, Gianna had been holding her breath for what felt like forever. The Force had pulled her this way and that, dragging her all over the verse, before finally bringing her to her friend on Ando Prime. That was an experience. A story, she surmised, for another time.

Nevertheless, in these moments when the galaxy felt quiet, and she was able to clear her mind she took the chance to do so. Cassius, though a Padawan in truth, was a better pilot than she could ever be. She had a nagging feeling that he’d been unconsciously pouring his connection to the Force into his reflexes and spatial awareness. It was only a theory, however, she felt it extremely plausible. With the chestnut-haired man in the cockpit, she was able to put her worries aside. They were safe as houses.

There was a change when they slipped back into real space that tugged Gianna from her light slumber. The transition had been smooth, very much so, but there was something inexplicable that told her indeed they had arrived at their destination.

Gianna was one of the last to depart the Stardust. She remained behind them, clad in pale blue robes, with a dark sash wrapped securely around her thin waist. Unlike the rather vocal T-4D4 the crimson-haired Nabooian native remained silent and thoughtful while they took in the sight of the little blue creatures that bespeckled the quiet village. It was a small town, for the most part, where Gianna could imagine that the same things generally happened day in and day out.

The youngling that Cassius had at his side, [member="Inaya"], was somewhat of a mystery to her. She’d tried to let the two of them catch up during their travels versus overshadowing their connection with her company. The diplomatic woman did not know the history of the youngling, but, she didn’t want to make her feel crowded. That wasn’t to say that Jedi Knight had been cold, or unfriendly, but she often liked to let people sort through their own feelings before interjecting herself.

In essence, throughout their travels, her empathy and understanding nature had not allowed her to miss the guilt Cassius felt over leaving the young woman behind. He wasn’t beating himself up over it, however, it had been on his mind.

One of the small blue animals began to follow Inaya and Gianna couldn’t help the small honeyed smile that passed over primrose lips. Warmth blossomed from her being, gentle, like a little lantern in the dark. The way the girl spoke, innocent, with mouse-brown hair and doe-soft eyes, was something she had not seen in a long time. It left her feeling curious, moreover, a little protective. Younglings with such a strong soul gave her hope for the future.

That being said, bottle-green eyes did not move from the creatures that had begun to follow them to the Supervisor’s office. Something in the air felt different. The edges of her nerves tingled with knowledge that was just outside of her reach, so for the moment, she could only comment on what she knew to be true.

“Well, Cassius. They are cute.”

Gianna hoped that they didn’t find their way into the Stardust though or else he may never get rid of them. It seemed like other Silvers would be joining them and the pale-skinned Jedi could vaguely recognize a few signatures from Umbarra. Interesting. It would be nice to see familiar faces, even if, they'd never really had the chance to get properly acquainted.

"Hopefully this time there aren't any bartenders," the Wookiee replied, still aware that Saka doesn't speak his language, but not knowing any other way to communicate with her. "Unless the Jedi that went missing are just drunk in a bar hidden somewhere."

The briefing was easy enough to follow, and Iakchi felt prepared enough for the task at hand. If anything he was looking forward to getting some experience out of the expedition, as this was a planet very unfamiliar to him. Having Saka around would make it more interesting, as the Padawan seemed like one just as eager to learn and expand her abilities as he was.

Location: Hangars, Silver Rest
Objective: Hostage Rescue

A few people looked like they wanted to ask her some questions, but it was Asa who broke the silence after Jyoti completed her briefing, inquiring about enemy Force strength.

"At a minimum, a stock Corona required about 300 crewmembers for optimal performance, though from experience, I suspect we're dealing with much less. What we really need to watch out for is the internal defense system - even a few ray shields can cause a bad day."

In short time, the small fleet of Eidolons was loaded, and then one by one they began to lift off and zip into the air for the micro jump from Kashyyyk to the Nightroad within the sector. She stood right behind the cockpit, eyeing their feeds and cycling through her own datastreams for real-time updates. In the background, she could hear the chatter of Valkren giving an additional mission briefing to his team on another transport.

Upon reversion, they were greeted to a rendering of the Cyrene, and a whole drift of disabled pirate ships, the Roebuck at the center. ALl the Eidolons engaged their active stealth systems upon approach to the scene, effectively becoming invisible to both the naked eye and most forms of sensors. Maybe it was overkill against a bunch of lowlife pirates, but it was always best to err on the side of caution when lives were on the line.

"Anvil to Cyrene, checking in," she announced over an encrypted line. "Are we still clear to proceed?"

"Cyrene here, read you crystal clear," the cruiser's captain replied. "You're still good to go. The frigate still seems dead in space, but within the last 15 minutes we've recorded several energy spikes - the pirates may finally be making headway on the repairs."

"Have they made any additional demands?"

"None, as long as we don't bother them as they work, but I imagine things will get hairy once their drives are fixed."

"Hmmm...we really don't have much time."

"Reorient us parallel to the ventral side of the frigate," she ordered the transport's pilot. "Then match velocity, we're going to jump."

The Eidolons were designed to latch onto ships and shear right through their hulls with special tools, but the ruckus from that event was likely to attract unwanted attention. The next best thing was hopping between ships.

"Aye ma'am, I will begin to depressurize the troop bay in 30 seconds."

"You heard the man." she said to everyone in the back. "Get your helmets on and prepare to drop."

Wordlessly, she interfaced with the Eidolon to devise the correct trajectory to land on the on the Frigate, then forwarded the flight path to the rest of her team.

"Keep to this path," she instructed, "or you're liable to miss your landing and keep hurling through deep space."

She fitted on her helmet with a satisfying click and then waited for the pilots to vent the troop bay before they opened the doors. There was a loud steady hiss for about a minute, then nothing.

Moments later, the bay doors swung open to space. In behind her visor, the image of the starry void was overlaid with several pieces of metadata, including the flight path she had devised.

She hovered at the edge of the open bay, eyes lingering on Charlie for a few moments, and then she pushed against the edge to dive out.

In about a few seconds, there were about a good hundred meters between her and the Eidolon. This would have been the part where her thrusters would kick in, but the Jedi had brought none - much too bulky for the Echani. Instead, she relied purely on the force, carrying herself to the target with an expert application of telekinesis.

Her transport became just a speck while the frigate grew ever larger in the corner of her vision.

In about five seconds she would see if she had done her math right.

Allyson fought the urge to break it to Mr. Leader of Team Hulk that she almost pulled the plug on them. Hearing of a padawan almost getting alcohol poisoning along with other things that had occurred on the main level of the club. The entire operation could have been ruined, still she was lucky she had Tolth to pull clean up. Little did the Jedi know, Allyson oversaw that entire operation and if things would have crashed and burned it would have been her tail on the burner. Shaking it off, she was happy to see that he was taking their current mission seriously.

It was odd not being in some sort of cover, today she was herself which was fine in the end. The droid spoke up and she looked at him, a soft chuckle came from the Corellian’s throat as she shook her head. “Should listen to the droid Jedi. Don’t always gotta be so stiff. Find the middle ground, will make the people we interview feel a bit better.” The droid was nice and if Josh tried to be mean to him – Allyson had her ways of helping the bucket of bolts get his revenge.

“I’ve been doing my own thing for field work, this is actually my first assignment that I’m working with others.” She flipped through her data pad which had more information loaded up on it, “I tend to work solo, my handler likes it that way.” The data pad found its way into her small bag as they continued into town, which was infested by the furballs. Blinking, there was an odd sensation to pick one up and keep it – though Allyson fought the urge. Moving closer, she noticed someone else from the order. A hand waved and she pointed towards Cassius.

“Who’s that Josh?” Looking towards him, she wondered if they should all team up. “Let’s follow him?”

Charlie hung back but was close enough to listen and pick up what she could from her Master. She wanted to learn everything she could, but her own excitement continued to pull her mind away from the business part of all of this. Her helmet was ready, and she looked over at her friend, the girl had a smart question and Charlie pouted slightly knowing that she should have thought about that too. Either way, the question was asked and answered.

They stood at the edge, Charlie looked back at Jyoti who she felt was looking at her. Tilting her head slightly, she wondered if Jyoti was worried that somehow the Padawan would be too excited and end up being the one that spiral out into deep space. The thought made her nose wrinkle and she was determined to put those concerns to rest. Watching the Master make her leap first, Charlie took off after her. As much as she wanted to follow her Master’s plan of no help with the thrusters, the Padawan had them just in case.

Her own control over the Force was strong, but the thought of being lost to deep space struck a fear in her. Charlie held out for as long as possible, till she started to feel her body begin to peel away from the projected course. She wasn’t moving fast enough, so she turned on the thrusters and hung a few feet behind Jyoti. Her face showed how personally disappointed she was in herself that she was unable to make this jump without any assistance. Charlie didn’t look back for the others, knowing her luck she’d lose control of herself at this speed…

….and spiral off into space.

Jyoti and Anvil had made their jump, It was Hammer's turn now.

Valkren's gloved hand was tight around one of the handles next to the ramp that opened from the troop bay into nothingness. His helmet was now over his head, neck pieces sealing together to firm up the lock between the separate sections of the armor. His visor illuminated a bright blue for a moment as his heads-up-display kicked into gear.

"Anvil team has made their connecting flight." The pilot of their own Eidolon transport informed Calderon and the members of Anvil team, with an added bit of humor.

"Copy, open the door."

The pilot took no time in following the orders given to him. Following their companion transports' movements, but on the opposite side, the pilot had given them the perfect opportunity for a clean jump..As long as they didn't have any unannounced interruptions in their path.

The emptiness of space was both a fascinating and terrifying thing for the colonel. Especially for jumps like this.

One miscalculation with the assistance of thrusters, and you'd be propelled through endless space until you eventually hit something or ran out of oxygen.

That just meant they'd all have to be perfect on this one..No mistakes. Colonel Calderon glanced about the troop bay as the door came open. There was silence all around them, all he could hear now was his own breathing behind his visor. He looked to each member of his team. Lowder and Bowers were already prepared, suited up in their Katarn armor, with Bowers carrying an extra kit on his back that contained the coma gas. Kat, Variedar, and Tanaski were all still present, in their own suits at that. He was sure the group all had the skillset necessary to hit their mark on the pirate ship.

He'd just have to see them prove it, though.

A green light illuminated within the bay, the pilot signaling that the transport was in the allotted window in which Hammer team should make their jump.

His microphone buzzed in the others' helmets, interrupting their serene moment of silence as he launched himself off the back ramp.

"See ya'll on the ship."

Lowder and Bowers were soon to follow, everyone's location given to Valkren in the corner of his HUD. His eyes shot forward as he straightened his body out to minimize his size during travel. Once again, the moment was serene. All he could hear was his breathing, pupils darting back and forth to check between status of his teammates, and distance to their destination.

The pirate vessel grew larger and larger with each moment, giving Valkren and sense of panic as he grew closer a little quicker than he would've liked. With a quick motion of his hand on his side, his thrusters engaged, automatically redirecting him towards the landing struts. His HUD flashed red aggressively, alerting him of the distance.

"Boss, think you need to slow down just a bit!" Specialist Lowder chimed in, forcing the colonel to glance at his traveling speed.

"Working on it, brother."

Valk' pushed his thrusters forward, engaging them just enough to decrease his speed, but still let him go forward. The warning lights on his visor quit blinking as the special forces officer made contact with the side of the ship, just above the landing struts and their point of entry. Assuring he had a firm grip as to not float away, he'd turn back in hopes of seeing his remaining team members.

Willa remained quiet for it, her visor black while it pocked up the audio needed. She was digging deeper, that inner voice and sense they had as she waited in the transport. her armor prepared, her weapons ready. The secondary was the lighter weight saw that was compacted and ready to get them through doors along with her sniper rifle. Folded up where she could get to it and the slugs quickly, the boosters of her armor would let her move around in space and the oxygen rebreather was prepped to recycle. "Connect to La Rasa." She got a look at the AI as it connected to the inside of her helmet and spoke to her on a private channel.

"Oh look a mission how exciting, you get to babysit... looks like two kids and another jedi. Do we know their level of combat experience?" The AI was... cheeky... no annoying but it did know how to remotely pilot and bring the RAC around in case of problems. "Unsure, if they were unable they wouldn't be here.... or at least have been told to hang back I hope." There was a pause as the confirmation that the bay was going to depressurize for them to move. "Countdown for me, sync with team and have RAC on standby in case extraction is needed." She got a nod from the AI as it was reaching out. "Say my name." "Say my name." "Say my name."

"Hellcat." She said it and glared at the display of the AI when she was in vacuum and moving towards the ship. her lightsaber on her hip, her smg's and combat knife. The field kit and her pack ready to be used and secured. The AI plotting the course she needed to get from the ship with minimal interference from the other three. Her camo systems were engaged and she landed on the hull as the magnetic locks put her in place. Crouching low before pulling out one fo the slicing drones from saotome that drifted towards an airlock. It was small and wouldn't be noticed but just in case she looked towards the others to make sure they were coming in safely.

Her optical camo still maintained while she moved towards one of the airlocks and spoke finally into the comlink. "Isard here, slicer drone heading towards airlock. If there are repairs starting to make progress, some gravity and tangler grenades in the exterior of the engines can muck them up to add time." She said it as her system of toolkit weapons cycled in her HUD. The phaser and ion stunner were the best choice for wrist weapons as well as knock out gas and dart. She could cycle to the flame, cryo, acid throwers as needed or the mirco grenade launcher. "I'd reommcend using the ionic disruptor on the ship systems. One good shot and you can really annoy them."

The AI was speaking and bringing up the stock schematics of the ship they were boarding. Her eyes flicked over it and found where she was. "3D the image and show where team is with tactical display. I want to know what we have access to in case of problems or innovative solutions are required." The AI was bringing up what it observed from the others and sabers a pistol were there. Armor and mostly two padawans plus another master. "We'll make due." She said it to the AI on their internal com channel before touching her pauldron on her armor under the optical cloak. Her line launcher activating while she made a line and anchored it. "Line set to airlock if you don't have mag locks."

Similar to a sting operation, looks as if his assumption proved to be true, that would mean the hotel owner was well versed in this sort of stuff no? Regardless Varindar was now a knight and worth hanging around if a fire fight broke out, though at the same time stealth was the main objective, so last thing they needed was a shoot out to happen. Before any more conversation could take place Valkren quickly dispatched orders, Tana just having enough time to give a nod to Kat.

The plan seemed simple and to the point, but at the same time with risk, exciting but something to worry about just in case, could never know what pirates have up their sleeves. Though to be honest this was the first time someone had referred to Tana as a 'core member', assuming his role would be more supportive, or an axillary of some sorts to keep the main force safe, after all this was his first, official covert mission, for the most part the young Jin taking on the role of a fighter pilot.

As the transport lifted off Tana wasted no time getting ready for the jump, making last minute checks f the suite and to see if the thruster worked properly, so far so good, but the true test would come during the actual jump. Time seemed to crawl to a stop before the orders finally came through, the first team away and out in space, soon the back door of the transport opening to reveal the empty void of space, the pirate ship looming in the distance, close, but at the same time far.

The rangers did not seem to waste a second, leaping from the transport before the Jedi members could, spouting some cheery quips along the way, "make sense, send the cannon fodder first, make sure the way is clear no"? Okay that was morbid, but in holo movies and real life the first people in always dies immediately... usually. Taking a deep breath Tana took a short leap, almost gliding towards the ships surface, following behind the rangers as the metal hull came closer and closer, in mid flight the young Padawan doing a few flip for fun before turning on his thrusters, coming to a halt just before the ships exterior.

p"How many points was that... oh no one saw it, never mind", giving a dismissive the peppy Padawan floated over to the designated infiltration point, awaiting the other members arrival

There was something truly unique and standing on the hull of a ship, you almost felt as if there should be a wind tugging at your clothes, but there was nothing but the toe cold emptiness of space. The subtle wrongness of it pulled on Asaraa's senses leaving the Padawan shivering slightly as she tilted her head back, staring at the bulk of the frigate as it swept past them, the frame of the ship blocking out the light of the stars, casing the team into shadows as the ship manoeuvred into position.

Watching Arisa push off from the ship Asaraa bent her knees, straightening as her momentum carried her up away from the metal hull. For a moment it felt like she was flying, truly weightless as she crossed the gap, one hand stretched out before her, as if guiding her way. Then, without a sound a grappling hook shot out of her extended hand, the end connecting with the hull of the ship, sticking there as the electromagnet came to life, reeling the padawan in to lightly alight on the hull as she quickly danced across to the airlock, one hand drawing the shatterpistol at her side as she glanced back to check the others had made it safely.

Objective: Investigate so-called cute fluffy creatures.

As he made his way to Esau's Ridge, Yuroic noticed that Josh seemed particularly sour this day. Perhaps it was the hungover affect, he was usually grumpy after a night of drinking in the morning. It probably didn't help that the lovely Allyson Locke was chipper, Yuroic himself was pretty blissed on with a large grin. He was fixated on good times and remembered working as a couple to assist the Order. Perhaps that's what Allyson and Josh were, a couple working a case together. Would that count as a date? He wasn't sure it would but Yuroic wasn't the most experienced in that aspect. However, he could just be push his memories of days gone by onto them. Nothing insinuated they were an item.

Yuroic shrugged, he was too distracted by his people watching, he was ignoring his job. He looked around the ridge. There was another group not far from him but it was a group he did not recognise. Another couple of people approaching from where the ship was, this time it was a Wookiee and a Mirialan. Looking at the strange creatures, he squatted and narrowed his eyes at them. They were fluffy and looked harmless, however, there was something sinister or creepy too. It wasn't obvious why he felt that way but he could feel his body shiver uncomfortably. They certainly didn't feel natural. Only thing to do was investigate the buildings, see if there were clues as to a town wide evacuation.

First place in Yuroic's mind was the cantina. It would be the place where most people would frequent and should give him answers into why this town was empty.
