Need ideas for a character.

Most factions have some sort of room for this kind of character.
In The Sith Empire, for example, you could play a Technician for the Imperial Armada, or a spooky technomancing Sith who controls technology with their mind.
Another example is the Outer Rim Coalition, where you could play a junkyard scrapper, making incredible devices from scavenged, piecemeal parts.
Anywhere you go, you can find a place

Well, the easiest way to figure it out is to join the faction, perhaps join their faction discord and chat with the people there.

Both should have a link to their discord in their forum.
Both of the factions are quite open in terms of what you can do. The Sith Empire has an obvious Sith and Imperial touch to it, but that only makes it easier to give your characters direction. Essentially, you can be whatever you want within reason.
