Objectives: Tag dead comrades and proceed into the front.

As the ground quickly raced up to meet the pod, Catherine saw the panel in the pod blinking, indicating that thrusters were live. Its backwards thrusters swiftly went into operation, igniting and blasting away in the other direction, trying its best to slow down the speed in which the pod would land in. With no more than heavy 'THUD', the drop pod landed on the ground. From the small view port, she saw that she was now on the ground, and pushed opened the door with protested with a small groan. Making sure to have all her gear with her before exiting the craft before she exited. As she stepped out through the door, her eyes took in the visual feed from the helmet as it glanced around the war-torn landscape.

War-scarred and with bodies strewn everywhere, it was apparent that she had landed right in the middle of the battlefield. Bodies of both Vong and the Mando'ade were scattered across the sandy landscape. Blood had soaked the sand turning them a brownish field of crimson red. Some of the bodies had been gruesomely dismembered, and she had to look for recognisable parts among them. Catherine went from corpse to corpse of her fellow Mando'ade, scanning them for their identities, so that their sacrifice would not go unnoticed.

They had fought well, as scores of dead Vong lay around them everywhere, and it was clear that they had fought on to the last man. Their names would be recorded down as warriors who had gone down fighting like warriors, gun in hand. When she was done tagging all of the bodies that now lay on the crimson field, she would move on to rejoin her comrades in the fight on the front.

The Vong that they would be safe and protected by the walls that constituted the border of their militarize haven. No doubt, this fortress was well defended all the way from head to toe by the mysterious biological engineering they use as their prime source of their technology, as they were taught that machines were inferior and blasphemy to their way of life. But these foul, ugly warriors should realize and know of the waking storm that was seen in the horizon. Their numbers were greatly outmatched by combined forces of the Mandalorian clans and and the advanced technology the Warriors of Mandalore used. They had been dealt with once before a long time ago in the Galaxy by both the combined strength of the Republic and the Mandalorians and they knew their tactics. And they would be shown once again of the might of Mandalore's beskar fist.

Though, it was acknowledge by every Mandalorian who read the harsh times when these interesting, yet dangerous aliens unveiled themselves to the Galaxy after conquering numerous of systems. Luckily, Mandalore and its systems wasn't dominated by these strangers if it hadn't been for Mandalore Boba Fett who made a deal with the Vong to assist them in defeating the Republic in exchange for Mandalore and its inhabitants to not come under a plague of death. However, they were observed by the eyes of the Mando'ade and when the time was ripe and appropriate they attacked their allies which in turn caused the Vong to retaliate and attack the Mandalorian capital and planet that was conquered by the very first Mandalorians: Mandalore. And quickly after this event happened both the Republic and the Mandalorians drove out and destroyed the influence in dominated Vong worlds.

Just like how this world, once controlled by the Mandalorians before the events of the Netherworld, would no longer have the stank of the presence and influence of the Vong. The Rally Master and his squad of six warriors continued to scurry in the fortress while watching out for their step. Just because they have breached the base of the Vong didn't mean they had gotten passed the easy part. In fact, now they were surrounded by merciless creatures that would stop at nothing to kill and slaughter. “Vode, we're gonna have to get to the main entrance and let open the flood gates. I don't plan on dying like an idiot," the Redneck said to his fellow brothers and sisters. They weren't going to play some hero ball and be praised for taking on countless of enemies single handily. That was a huge chance on getting a one way ticket to the Manda, and Vilaz wasn't going to do that to him nor his squad. Quickly checking their primary weapons they begun their way to one of the towers that controlled the entrance of the fortress. With two WESTAR 34 in his hands he led as point and was firing upon Vong warriors knowing they were protected by Crab Armor. It was going to be a rough offense.

Being late to the fight meant more than just being late. The battlefont had long since shifted fowards, and the scene she stood in was now deserted. She had no one for backup, and was totally alone until she caught up to the fighting. Landing in an area with just corpses for company was even worst than being late. It meant that she was super late. Scrambling to get to the front now that her job tagging her fallen comrades was done, she deactivated her omni-tool, and grabbed her rifle from her back. She began trekking and trekking, seeing nothing but corpses or wreckage around her. She wondered how far the front had shifted. Catherine was saved from further trekking as she heard the roar of an approaching shuttle coming from behind her. It was flying in pretty low, probably trying to escape from any planetary defences as well as to survey the battlefield. She hailed the shuttle for pick-up, and soon picked up by the crew on board.

"Where's the action?" She asked one of her fellow vod on board. "I've seen nothing but the aftermath of death since I've landed." He cocked his helmeted head as he casually replied. "The front's long since shifted. There are several groups sieging the fortress right now, we are on our way to reinforce them where-ever needed." The shuttle then flew past as it made its way to the fortress compound where the Vong general made his final stand.

Standing in one of the numerous craters that littered the battlefield, Adenn Gra'tua had been attempting to support any nearby mandalorians, but as the Vong warriors were pushed back, it was clear they didn't need support from the back. Spotting [member="Vilaz Munin"] and multiple other mando's enter the Yuuzhan Vong fortress, the bounty hunter decided to join and assist them, an action the man never really took due to being more of a lone wolf kind of guy. As the man rushed towards the fortress, He opened his comms to attempt contacting Vilaz.

"This is Rally Master Adenn Gra'tua, I am about to enter the Vong's fortress and I am looking for Rally Master Vilaz Munin, and if it is possible I would like to join forces with him wherever possible." The bounty hunter stopped speaking as he arrived at the outer wall, slowly coming to a stop so he could catch his breath before entering the fortress. Staring up at the wall Adenn slowly placed his DMR onto his back, quickly replacing it with the Assault Model-5 as he drew in one last breath, activating his jet pack to send him into the air towards the top of the wall.

'Man this guy is crazy.' Taenor thought as he stood up and quickly switched out the saw for his bwatha and ran after the hulking mando. He would be damned if he let an ally so enthusiastic fall without fighting by his side. Taenor quickly caught up and took position to the left of [member="titan"].

"On your left, vod." Taenor shouted. He then began to employ his bwatha to good use. He methodically aimed at the nearest Vong and put a three round burst through it's eye. Then he moved to the next and placed a three round burst through the things throat. Methodically moving from one assault to the next, he quickly thinned out the enemies to Titan's left.

The Bralor Clan soldiers though numbered few were exceptionally armored and savored the deepest, most destructive combat. Their leader Arumi moved up behind the line guiding two expecially brutish giants weilding Z-6 rotatry canons. He pointed and a line of fire erupted forward chewing through anything in their way with several hundred round a minute, point fire death and destruction. The spinning barrels roared and raored as the dark sider mandalorian charged into the apporaching battle line beside his Ori'vod.

" Ikat, Treax, or'gat on [member="Titan"] and my six, the rest of you lay down hell. no survivors and no prisoners" he yelled as the three Bralor heavies broke off with their heavy blaster canons in tow. They dipped and dove beneath rotary canon fire that melted their path before them. A flip of the wrist a dagger escaped Arumi's hand and bedding into the neck of a warrior caste, a boot shoving it in deep as twin lightsabers errupted from Arumi's grip. A whirrling and dazzling display of death and destruction followed as he cut his own path through the vong ranks. They would sing songs and drink of the names of the dead and of the pile of broken vong tonight!

It was a slow advancement, no doubt about that. Though, the offensive tactic wasn't the only factor that was worrying the Rally Master. They were running out of ammunition just because of the many Vong warriors they faced at every corner they turned. They had to ration ammo for their firearms as well as save thermal detonators, concussion grenades, and flash bangs unless it was necessary and reasonable for them to use. With the Force Dead beasts knowing of the presence of Mandalorians when they appeared beyond the atmosphere of Bimmiel they were well prepared to try to counter the Crusaders. But they should well know they would and will be brought to their knees and beg for mercy.

Another monomolecular bolt was reloaded into his crossbow and was then fired at a Vong soldier and went through him, yet went into another Vong.

Titan continued to press forwards, the Bralor clan moved in behind him per Arumi's orders. Taenor followed with his repeater, they were a wave of death crashing down on the Vong plague. They must be purged and the Mandalorians were happy to oblige.

"Contact right, cover fire!!" Titan pulled his Charging Rhyno heavy revolver and blew away a Vong by separating his face from his head.

The line was falling to the Mandos and lead by the three Vod it would continue to flow their way. Kronos' thirst for blood was well satisfied as it found the heart of a Vong, twisting, Titan ripped the blade back out. All the armor plates were now gone from Titan's armor, leaving just the body suit. Titan removed his helmet and used it to bash the head of a pair of Vong into mush.

"Let em have it!!" Boomed the voice of the armor-less goliath Mando. Shots glanced off Kronos as he was expertly moved in to deflect them. The skill Titan held with his massive blade made him almost as dangerous as those squishy Jedi.

The ship was on the ground and the troops were immediately moving out, they had their orders and were skilled and trained to know what to do how to do it, and when they could move. Arla was behind them until they were all off the shuttle.

The roar the came from the teams as they headed into the vong would serve to lend fear to anyone who could hear them. Arla was ready she shot with careful aim to take out anything moving towards the teams. As she moved along with them a well-oiled machine until they noticed a flanking movement meant to cut off their advance.

Arla pointed to have some of the group move she knew from the last time that one of their movements was to separate them and take them out little at a time, she had taken that lesson to heart. There was rapid fire off on her left, followed by an explosion. They were getting close to the building where the Council was.

Objective: Kill General

Am unfortunate Vong was caught by the clutches of the Rally Master after he thought of it smart to come and engage the Mandalorian in close quarters. A fool he was not knowing what the Redneck had with him at this moment. His hands were not cover in gauntlets made of durasteel, plastoid, or any other alloy that was inferior when compared to the might of beskar. No, these gauntlets were made of micronized beskar that enhanced the strength to wearer's hands. A long history were behind these gauntlets that were considered dangerous, even for the Mandalorians to use in space. Before the time Boba Fett fought against the Vong as Mandalore these tools were rare and illegal, including Mandalorian Space for giving the user the power to break bones, metals, and other materials in a short amount of time. It was until then a Mandalorian was able to crush the throat of a Vong killing the Warrior and his crab armor.

He exerted all his force on the throat of the Warrior and the poor creature tried to break the grip of the Mandalorian, but his strength couldn't outmatch the one of his opponent's. Nothing but a corpse was in the hand of the Mandalorian as he crushed the throat of the Vong killing it and its armor. They were meters away from reaching the tower that would open the doors to the Fortress. An order was given to throw grenades and any explosive weaponry at the tower to injure those in it and destroy the organic technology. The squad being lead by Vilaz obeyed and all their grenades were thrown towards the tower which then led to multiple explosions setting off destroying most of what was in the tower and injuring few Vong warriors. The main door was breached leaving an entrance for the Mandalorian Force to enter with ease and give wrath to these aliens.

Ranks split down the side, as the ship let out the flight crew, boasting jet packs to rocket from the interior and into the sky. Each well equipped Mandalorian blasted through the three meter distance towards the palace chamber and letting loose a barrage of blaster-fire to take out the Vong that stood in their way. Azrael's form tucked into a streamlined position while he led the pack in a curving arch to strafe across the fortified defenses. The air rushed passed and the rockets burned bright igniting the visible sky with streaks of flame, soon trailing by lines of smoke to conceal the second party. Anti-air fire was redirected and launched their way, keeping it from the drop ship while it swung around wide to disperse the second team under Arla's command. The ground troops would reinforce their position, while the air support kept the upper decks busy, and breached from the tallest point. Crimson bolts spilled by while the onboard HUD in the Mandalorian helmets kept their trajectory ever changing to avoid the barrage of plasma. Answering back as well, carbines were let loose to engage with heavy suppressive fire, knocking out turrets and flash boiling Vong brains.

Azrael loved to fly - ever since he'd first done it in the personal ship of his Ori'vod departing from Ord Mantell. Whether it was in a ship, on a war droid, or simply with the burn of the jetpack strapped to his back, the sensation was always enjoyed. He'd been leading air strikes with the vode for sometime now, and he'd become quite good at putting together smaller strike teams for air assaults. Ground battle was good and honorable, but taking out your enemy while riding the wind was another thing entirely. Of course like all good feelings, it was because of the sparsity of it's occasion that made it all the more special. Closing in fast, the team wound around the defensive fire, rocketing up and then coming down hot. Slugthrowers opened up as a team of Mando'ade cut the pack's power and dropped to the ground like stones. Stones that were dealing death with dual wielded Rippers tearing through the resistance. Azrael came in a bit differently, catching the surface of the tower above with his bionic grip and tearing a line down, his sidearm was released and popped into the heads of a few more vigilant guards. Pausing, and attached to the tower itself, the smoldering wreckage was observed before he alerted his vode through the comms.

:: Oya vode! Cover the entrance, and give the ground team support fire. We're going in. :: The Mand'alor gave the order and then continued to slid down to the entrance. A swift besk'ar kick to the large door before him ripped it off it's hinges. One of the Vong lying in wait immediately turned, and grasped the salvager by the neck, attempting to flex his muscles enough to snap the half-blood's neck. An immediate reaction came in the form of a hidden besk'ed in the gauntlet, snapping to the side and lancing into the ribcage of the four arm freak. The hold was broken, followed by the creature's nose, as a backwards Keldabe kiss was given. Turning in an instant, the Mand'alor roasted the Vong in seconds with a close quartered blast of fire, before kicking him right back through the door, over the railing and down to the ground several meters below. "Osik."

Turning quickly, his HUD began to scan for lifeforms, and track his direction towards the main chamber for the council. They'd be arriving shortly, at least the rest of them, but there were already some assembled taking refuge in their prison of sorts.

Somewhere in the Vong fortress.
(1/20)

And so Siobhan Kerrigan quantum tunnelled into the dominion. Where she had been all the time while the warriors of the Mandalorian Clans faced the vicious Vong was anyone's guess. Maybe it's because her writer gets distracted all the time. Anyhow, suffice to say she had made her way into the fortress.

The sounds of battle could be heard echoing across the chambers and halls, the Vong clashing with the Mandalorians who had come to once again reclaim this world after the cataclysm unleashed by Akala had wrested it from their control. Ironically, Siobhan had been there the first time the Mandalorians had assumed direct control. Back then she had belonged to a small party that had been shot down and then assailed by the savages. In a way those had been simpler days. Happier ones? That was debatable. Truth be told, she was a good deal happier now and less on the frontlines.

She also felt a strong animosity towards Vong that probably came very close to xenophobia. Part of the reason were probably her experiences on Alderaan, where she had taken on hordes of Vong and Fire Breathers in a mad, rage-filled rampage on her way to find the portal to the netherworld to get wife and child back. Another one were her experiences on Aurum, where the Horde had butchered every living being they could find. Of course, said Horde had then proved itself to be thoroughly unimpressive and turned tail the moment Moross attacked them, but it did not change her mind set.

Fortunately, our band of heroes was here to fight Vong not drink tea with them, and so her aggressive urges came in handy since, as chance would have it, a horde of Vong was bearing down upon her. Amphistaffs loudly hissed in anticipation of slaugher and the chance to spread their poisonous venom as the Vong cried out to their Gods. Battle was soon joined as the warriors charged her from all sides. Vong were strong, vicious creatures, especially in their Vonduun crab armour and the venom dripping from the amphistaffs was nothing be scoffed at. Siobhan did not even attempt to understand their relation to the Force and the whole Force Dead not Force Dead thing, though she understood enough to know she could not sense them and that a telekinetic push was ineffectual.

The same could not be said about the "pop-gun" she was holding in her firm grip. This was the slightly puerile name Eyrecae Alzari used for the portable shattercannon. Minigun was also a good one. The thing was bloody heavy, had an absurd firepower and currently was spitting out a truly ridiculous amount of high-velocity projectiles. Death ensued.

minigun-o.gif

The Amphistaffs that had been hissing so loudly fell silent for just a moment, the snarling beasts that were the Vong became inaudible amidst the deafening sounds of the gun being fired. Part of the wall was ripped apart and got holes blown into it, but soon the Vong regained their vigour and charged once more, their weapons coming close to beating upon her. Discarding the gun now that they were close she let it travel through the air propelled by the Force to slam into the centre of mass of a Vong beast.

She let out a deep breath. It took the Force for her to wield the gun effectively these days. Physically she was not the woman she had once been. Force-wise, things were different. Speaking of the Force, there were still effective ways to use it against Vong. Indirect applications worked just fine. One of them lay in chucking rocks propelled at an absurd speed. Chunks were abruptly ripped out of the ceiling and walls and propelled towards them in a strong whirlwind. Bash in their skulls with boulders, drive chunks of rock through veins of organs, manipulate the air currents to bring forth a raging wind. Manipulate the air currents enough and beasts go flying. Then there was lightning. Lightning everywhere! Cleansing blasts of electricity leapt from her fingertips and swept across the corridor in a torrent. The air was filled with the smell of creatures being barbequed very nicely.

They were big, freakishly so, their strength was sickening and in general they didn’t seem to have any form of self-preservation. They just kept on coming in an endless tide of bodies for the slaughter, which was fine to Hoath.

Force Deadness was apparently a thing, but some people forgot something valuable. They were only dead to immediate interference of the Force, not something indirect and so? Hoath didn’t try to push them directly with that mystical power.

...what had happened to him? Where was he? At some point during the assault on Bimmiel he had sat back into the captain's chair and lapsed out. It was as if his mind had wandered somewhere else either drawn on by the horrors of war now surfacing in his inner most thoughts or memories that had remained repressed until that moment. Regardless as Garuss sat back in the hot seat on the bridge of the Kandosii-type Dreadnaught it appeared for all purposes and concerns that he was dead to the world. The Warrior's eyes went blank, his pupils widening, a bit of drool escaped the corner of his mouth and anyone attempting to get his attention received silence, well at least for the majority of the time, some part of Garrus must have still known where he was which meant he could act on a sort of autopilot mode as though his conscious mind were still somehow involved in what was happening. In a way Garrus had been fortunate this had happened to him on the Capital Ship and not on the surface of the planet below...

...his right hand tensed, fingers digging into the arm of his chair, showing the first signs of life from Garrus in what seemed like an untold amount of time. Very slowly his eyes started to return to normal. Inside his mind the bridge of the Kandosii-type Dreadnaught seemed to be moving at a snails pace however as his mental faculties finally came too he would snap back into reality like he had just been hit by a whiplash. All around him the bridge crew was screaming out commands which eventually lead to him bellowing loudly in a voice the rumbled overtop all the others around him...
"Status report!"...the sound of his guttural voice lifting across the bridge caused many of the officers to stop and look at him. Once he apprised of the situation he didn't waste time coming up with a suitable choice of action...

...
"Target the surface of Bimmiel. Unpopulated areas near the flanks of the front to destabilize any rear guard that might remain. Give me full turbolaser fire."...the command was clear and in that moment the bridge of the capital ship found purpose once again rallying behind the voice of their commander as they all went to work. Within moment the turbolasers of the Dreadnaught were aiming at the surface of Bimmiel, singling out locations towards the rear of the fighting where the could deliver volleys of firepower planet side. Even if the Vong didn't have a rear guard the turbolaser fire would ensure retreat was not a viable option, they would fight or they would surrender, which satisfied Garrus all the same. After he'd given his command Garrus would sink back into the confines of his command chair once again, swiveling it to one side, where he watched the progress of the fighting from a holographic display feed. Apparently the battle for Bimmiel was almost at an end already...

This is why Azrael was Mand'alor. The man knew how to lead from the front and rain absolute destruction upon those that dared to stand in his way. In evidence to this was the vong that the mandalorian leader just had cut down with true combat reflexes and the ruthlessness of a rancor that was going through menstruation. He was a warrior's warrior and Tariu Fett was honored to follow the man into combat and would lay his life down for the greater good of the mando'ade as a whole. Hopefully such would not have to come to past in this vong infested back assed world.

Tariu was not a tall man, standing at 5'8" he was not a mountain but he was built lie a ossik brick house and skill alone he was menacing on the field of battle. He was clad in blue and grey aliitgam, his duo westar-34s drawn and raised for combat as he watched the Mand'alor advance further into the chambers. Azrael would give orders for some of the Mandos to hold this very entrance and being low man on the totem pole, Tariu knew that job was coming to him.

"I got thes, Vode!" Fett would unhesitatingly reply back to his great leader, his husky voice was rich with a concordian accent. The mandalorian soldier would twist about, keeping combat ready and full alert as he was set to task on watching the entrance.

Siobhan loved the smell of napalm in the morning. It smelt like victory...and of plagiarism. Never mind the fact that she had not dropped any napalm, but the line was too cool not to use. Anyhow, death reigned and a Vong died in a powerful blast of blue-white lightning, shaking so badly one got the impression he was suffering from multiple heart attacks as the electrical onslaught fried him and his Vonduun crab armour. He joined the rest of his brethren who had been slaughtered and their amphistaffs.

Then silence reigned. The air was rank with the smell of burnt, charred flesh and blood. The corridor she was in had been demolished nicely, with walls broken and part of the ceiling ripped out since she had decided that the construction material served a useful purpose as improvised projectiles. Same applied to dropping part of the ceiling on Vong. Siobhan took a breath and wiped some blood from her chin with her hand, then gripped her cane and moved on. Looking for someone or something else to kill. It seemed the battle was winding down and the Mandalorians were about to assume direct control.

...Garrus would see the barrage of turbolaser fire register on the holographic display screen that he was observing which was then confirmed by a tactical officer reporting that they landed direct hits on the surface of Bimmiel. Nodding his head Garrus would rest back into the chair where he was sitting, raising his right arm and rub his hand back over the landscape of his head all the way around to the back where he could scratch an invisible itch. According to every report coming in there wasn't much need to continue the assault which caused him to give his next orders in a relaxed tone..."Crew to stand down from battle positions and remain on stand by incase of further opposition."...though he would add..."Tactical Officer give me one more volley at the planets surface, half power, to break up any remaining Vong in the rear guard or on the retreat."...his orders received an affirmative and then the Warrior allowed his gaze to move back over to the display screen...

...moments after Garrus had given his commands the Kandosii-type Dreadnaught would fire a final barrage at the surface of Bimmiel. Turbolasers belched forth a deadly array of firepower that streaked towards the surface of the planet before impacting as a brief flash of light which quickly faded. Planet side the impacts would have scorched the earth creating small craters that left charred bodies and splintered debris in its wake. Whether or not it inflicted Vong casualties was debatable but it had a psychological effect on enemy troops that witnessed the destructive power which satisfied Garrus all the same...

...now that all that was done he turned in his chair until he was facing the comms station before stating...
"Relay a message to friendly troops. We are dispatching drop ships to assist with the wounded and help contain any pockets of resistance that remain on the planet."...it seemed, to him, that the battle was done. It had been the second time Garrus had helped in the taking of Bimmiel but idly in the back of his mind he could not help but wonder if there would be a third time to follow....

Location: Boots on the ground
Objective: Defeat Vong forces
Allies : Mandalorians

They were moving slow the blaster fire to her left drew her immediate attention as the squad assigned to her began their heavy assault, grenades had been lobbed into the midst of the vong forces the explosion did not stop them, it however gave them enough pause that part of Arla's team was able to make the doorway, kneeling down to now provide covering fire to help the team from the left move forward.

The vong were a determined species never had she seen them retreat was it their determination to hold onto something, or a mentality that made them prove they were able to take on the harshest of treatment, and the mandalorian forces.

Arla held out her weapon, pulling the trigger in rapid succession trying to give pause there was a rely of a message that drop ships were being sent in that would help with her wounded, but right now the objective was to protect the Bimmiel Council. Arla knew her team, and their strength she ordered half of them providing cover to go inside and assist the council.

A few more steps and the vong seem to rally. Arla kneeled this time taking her time to get a bead on each one just needing enough time for the back up forces to arrive.

(#11/20)

Sand and wind rushed past Naast'ika as he raced towards his target, barely far enough from the ground to keep from smashing to the ground as his keel plowed through the occasional dune. Behind him, hundreds of Coralskippers raced to catch him and his three dorsal point defense cannons barked out at the offending craft with lethal effect. As he closed in with his target, anti-aircraft weapons from the 'Vong factory opened fire in a desperate attempt to cleanse him from the skies of Bimmiel. Flak rounds and molten chunks of rock peppered Naast'ika's hull where the panicked ground teams found accuracy. Just as often though, the flak raced past him to impact among the hundreds of tiny hulls that chased him. Naast'ika beeped happily as he opened the two wide ports on either side of his main chassis. From those tubes, three volleys of Heavy Proton Torpedoes launched themselves from his body and raced towards the bio-factory only a few hundred meters in front of him. The cannon on his prow spat off two massive shots into the body of the factory and the twin cannons on his nacelle barked out six shots each.

Naast'ika shifted the artificial point of gravity that dragged him through the skies of Bimmiel and pulled up sharply, raising several hundred meters above the factory as he raced past it. Shockwave and flame kissed at his aft-most sections of hull and nacelle as the factory was reduced to its component atoms. Ichor and bone flung high into the sky where metal and glass should have been had the target not been a construct of the Vong. Behind him, the hundreds of coralskippers scattered erratically to avoid the explosion, many failing in that regard. Those that survived, opened fire at Naast'ika's retreating form with everything they had before racing ahead one more in a desperate attempt to catch the horrible beast that was a Mesen'Loras.

Sand quickly turned to the open blue waters of a saline ocean as Naast'ika cleared the edge of the continent. Beneath him, he could see the remaining tendrils of thefactory as they stretched into the deep ocean that had once provided both coolant and fuel to the factory. Captain Tupu gave a simple order and Naast'ika beeped happily that he would have the chance to comply. Rolling twice before doing so, Naast'ika dove sharply towards the ocean waves and disappeared beneath their waves. The interference of his dovin basal projections spared him the concussive force of impacting the waters at the speeds he had been traveling. All the same, hitting water the way he did had stung quite a bit. Naast'ika cared little about the discomfort. It had been far too long since he had explored an ocean. As the swarm of coralskippers swarmed overhead, Naast'ika dived deeper and deeper into the dark waters of Bimmiel's ocean.
